Chorrol.com _ Oblivion _ Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition

Posted by: Thomas Kaira May 23 2011, 09:58 PM

http://www.nitrobeard.com/home/2011/5/16/oblivion-5th-anniversary-edition.html

What it will contain:

- Oblivion GOTY Edition game content.
- Collectors edition content (minus the Septim replica and Guide to the Empire)
- 'Making Of' DVD with Skyrim trailer
- Coupon for $10.00 off your purchase of Skyrim
- Steelbook case

Listed price: $30.00

Only available at local outlets, major game retailers will not carry this.

My thoughts: Given that it is missing a couple of CE items, that does hack away a bit at the overall value. The coupon is nice, but I'm not sure if I want to pay $30.00 just so I can save $10.00. That's just not smart. Besides, I've already paid for this game three times. I think that is enough. They might've made this one worth it if they included the missing CE content as well as all the DLC, but unfortunately, they didn't.

You can count me out of this one, Disney Bethesda. I'm not interested in CE games; waste of money.

Yeah, if I didn't have the PC edition already I would get it.

I don’t have the PC version yet, I was just looking for it. Not in the right place, it seems. What is a CE item?

...oh, Collector's Edition. embarrased.gif

I wonder if it will have Fighter's Stronghold?

Posted by: Thomas Kaira May 24 2011, 02:45 AM

It won't. The only DLC content you get is KotN and SI (the GOTY Edition content). No other DLCs will be provided.

Uh Oh, doesn't the KOTN come with all the DLC except Fighter's Stronghold? It does if you buy it seperately.

Yes, the Knights of the Nine package standalone does, but not the GOTY edition. GOTY comes with KotN only, along with SI.

The rest of the DLC is sold separately.

That is kind of ... crummy! If someone is spending $30 on a 5 year old game, they should get all the DLC! I am glad I didn't get the Goty for the PC now! I did buy the KOT9 disc seperately to get all the DLC, the only one I don't have for the PC is Shivering Isles and Fighter's Stronghold. (I have every DLC on my 360 game).

And here I was, so incredibly happy I have Fallout 3 CE, Skyrim CE, Morrowind CE and three Oblivion CEs! laugh.gif

Of course itīs a waste of money as I already had those games (except Skyrim), but they are still fun to have! biggrin.gif

wow that is a huge rip -off then , steam have now realeased the laterst edition of oblivivon FOR pc which INCLUDES ( !!! ) FS !

still im not getting it , i got my stand-alone oblivion back in 2009 and it still works well for me ( occasional crashing , cut audio and stuff like that does happen but if i reboot the game (( takes about 30 seconds)) then its fine cool.gif )

yeah at that price , without ALL the dlcs its just not worth it , i bought oblivvion then SI and then GOTN ( the pack which includes the whole lot bar FS)

Whatīs a bit annoying is that my 5th didnīt have the steelbook case. It would have looked awesome! Kinda like that rocky case for my Jurassic Park VHS.
