Being a worshipper of Sheogorath, I like to come up with riddles in my spare time. This one uses the map of Vvardenfell, and the clues refer to town in the game. Connect the towns in order, and a shape should emerge. I'll check back tomorrow to see if anyone has got it.
Start where civilization meets madness
and old gods rise,
Then go to the passageway to ice, then east,
To where the hive mind has fallen.
North, to the end of the world, and back again,
then continue east,
to the headless tribe.
Then south, to the centre of disease,
then east, yet again, to the magical centre.
Up, to the healer and helper,
the back to disease.
South, to the gods, then back to the beginning.
String them together, then see if it fits;
Tell me, what does a N'wah get?
wow...... Im gonna have to find a map!
ok, i don't have a map right now but i will guess a sword.
Not quite, right track though. It's a rather rude expression.
Doesn't anyone want to figure it out?
here is a guess spear
edit:this doesnt include the bloodmoon map does it
nope. The image goes about as low as Balmora.
Hint: madness=corprus
Veltan you should check about see'ing if you can get your riddles into that mod there talking about.. look on the Fan Fic forum, there should be a thread there about it telling you everything.. its a really awsome idea
That's an interesting idea. If I can find the rest of my riddles, I'll take a shot at it.
Hm Iīve got the map in front of me, and I figure the start could be Ghostgate, then the second Khuul, the third...hmmm donīt really know..have to think more....
Ghostgate is a really good guess, and khuul is right. The beginning is near the coast. (hint- main quest)
ok..so ghostgate was not correct? near the coast you said...could it be Andasreth then?
the hive mind? what is "hive"
the end of the world ....Ald Redaynia?
headless tribe...Ahemmusa?
center of disease ..corprusarium..Tel Fyr?
magical center..Sadrith Mora?
healer and helper...must be Aryon!
back to disease....tel fyr again?
ohhh help me am I on the right path? :lickinglips2:
You're really close, only Andasareth and Ald Redaynia are wrong.
1. I forget where Andasareth is, but try looking in the bitter coast region.
2. It's a few islands east of Ald redaynia.
3. scribs
I hope this helps you figure it out.
hehe...yayy
Bitter Coast.....Hlormaren?
East of Ald Redaynia......ok so Dagon Fell or Ald Daedroth
did you say hive=scribs?? hmmm
when I have the places right Iīll se which figure it is.....
hehe this was fun! :goodjob:
ok so Dagon Fell or Ald Daedroth
There's an inn in Dagon Fel called The End of The World.

and I stand no chance more....

Ok since I have most of it right according to Veltan, Iīll continue...then again you can tell me whether itīs right .....

looks like an insect......
haha... I messed up.
I was in school when I did this, so I didn;t have the map directly in front of me I didn't realize that Tel Vos was so far west or that the Shrine of Azura was so far south.
To make it look sort of right,
1) go to Indoranyon instead of Tel Vos and
2) Forget the part about the Shrine of Azura, and go back to the beginning from Tel Fyr.
I'm sorry if I messed people up or made them mad because of my mistakes, but hopefully this helps you quite a bit.
And oh ya- The hive mind makes a perfect out-of-the-way base:)
Well, you tried...and I think it was a very good idea.
Still don't get what http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/Pinehead/map-morr-enormous2.jpg is though...
The "hive mind" isn't Dagoth Ur, it's a bit North.
The "hive mind" isn't Dagoth Ur, it's a bit North.
Like uh...Kogoruhn?
It's a dwemer ruin
Well I liked this.....someone make a new one! :goodjob:
It's not quite over yet... What is the image?
It's a dwemer ruin
Bthuand, I presume.
Yep
oh? ok so I thought the image should be a dwemer ruin.....well hmm my map is missing at the time so yhe boys have to do it
This is the answer, I hope it works...

oh you nasty padawan.....
the punishment is that you come up with another one
lol... I think I'll try to make this a weekly event. Tune in on monday to see what else I come up with.
P.S., To find out what I listen to when I came up with this idea, visit http://www.funpic.hu/swf/numanuma.html
part of the rules of the forums, when you signed up here, was that you cannot post possibly offensive contents, I'd say this is bordering on it.
now I hate to be mean and such, but I strongly suggest keeping things here a little more serious then this, because otherwise I will be forced to close this thread down.
meaning that middle fingers and such are out.
oops, sorry. I promise when I do another riddle it won't be rude. If i'm allowed

Wonder if Sinder would care to translate.....
I have a nice morrowind related riddle for the lot, let's see if you can guess it, probably easy
here goes:
I'm not right in the head if you know what I mean,
my body, well let's just say it's black.
my heart burns with fire
yet my sides are cool as can be
filled with life
and my legs might be most important,
one divine,
one of royalty
and the rest just as healthy as my sides.
what am I?
might be a bit abstract, but I hope that won't stop you from finding the answer to it
Just a quick and probably wrong guess....Vivec :ashamed:
hmm... I know it's probably wrong, but Numindium?
1) Not right in the head could mean maybe a face mask that looks wierd or maybe a deformed face.
2) Could mean Black clothing or Armor Possibly skin Tone also. But if this is a physiacl feature it could have to do with ashlands.
3) Center of red mountain? Or the heart at the end of the game. MAybe the personality of someone?
4) Again if this is Red mountain the sides of the mountain would be cool because there is no lava there.
5)Very active
6)Uses legs alot. Could give hint to an animal that uses its legs alot.
7-8) Hints to Culture/Religion?
9) What would be this "rest"? Other parts of the body?
I would think eithier Dagoth Ur himself, Red mountain or some animal or creature.
nope, so far you're all wrong.
I won't add hints just yet, but I will say think more abstract
Vvardenfell or Morrowind?
you are correct, the answer is Vvardenfell.
you are correct, the answer is Vvardenfell.
Yes! UberOozae
I might make a riddle if I feel like it, but probably not. I'll leave it to the experts
I once had this riddle I never posted in the official forums. It's very obvious...
I am your ticket to the home of the wizards.
They are mostly served by cats and lizards.
I can help you in doing what you are told.
But you'll need to spare some extra gold.
My services are reserved for all.
As long as they can pay the toll.
My most important possesion lies beneath my feet.
And it is filled with something sweet.
My trade can be found everywhere.
It is my job to take you there.
Who am I?
(Wat een Sinterklaasrijm!)
OK Sinterklaas, (itīs not christmas now you know...
)
Not sooo easy, has it something to do with Moon-sugar?
Is it the Elf-Skerring in Sadrith Mora?
ahh maybe thatīs it.....could be though, but the sweet thing whatīs sweet in Elf-Skerring?
Is it the Elf-Skerring in Sadrith Mora?
Elf-Skerring is a boat, not a person.
OK Sinterklaas, (itīs not christmas now you know... )
It's not? Man, I gotta cut down on the skooma then... (Sinterklaas is better than Santa!)
hmmm is it a certain person or just any.....guild-guide (who teleport you in the mage-guild).....not sooo easy though
hmmm is it a certain person or just any.....guild-guide (who teleport you in the mage-guild).....not sooo easy though
i tink its that lady who lets you join telvanni house
I want a name. It's a name I want. Elf-Skerring is the closest.
One more guess:
Gals Arethi, boat-driver in Sadrith Mora.... :ashamed:
One more guess:
Gals Arethi, boat-driver in Sadrith Mora.... :ashamed:
Bingo! you got it. That wasn't so hard was it?
well..sort of.....but when you insisted on a name......and the boatīs name wasnīt correct....then I figured it out
well..sort of.....but when you insisted on a name......and the boatīs name wasnīt correct....then I figured it out
Yeah, I guessed that...
Someone provide another one??????
(Iīm not good at it!)
who is the riddle man from the official forums??
i think he made alot of riddle question topics.
who is the riddle man from the official forums??
i think he made alot of riddle question topics.
Is there really A riddle man? There ar some more fanatic riddlers like, uhh... Perseus, Azura's Star, Cheeselikesubstance only to name a few. Khabalox is more of a poet isn't he?
To solve my riddle
Thou must look at the sun
Then walk on the path
Leading away from the dawn.
To the gateway's north
You must walk forth
To the forest of stone
Houses the color of bone.
Halfway through the place
To the water point your face
Drop down with a splash
But pray, do not be brash
For you must follow the stream
Until the spot where you deem
That by looking in the way
Where the sun falls first
You can honestly say
That within a verst
A certain village lies.
Now, if you are wise
You know the mileage
So you can easily speak
The name of the village
Or messily make a pick.
I'm tempted to say Holomayan, but that isn't a village is it?
I'm think San Fransisco or Los Angeles
I'm tempted to say Holomayan, but that isn't a village is it?
It's not.
You need hints.
To solve my riddle
Thou must look at the sun
Then walk on the path
Leading away from the dawn.
West.
To the gateway's north
You must walk forth
North of Seyda Neen.
I got the west part but stupidly I thought you were speaking realistically. Anyway, it's Balmora. You speaked of in the centers there's water, the river, yeah, I know.
Oooooh can I ask one now?
I got the west part but stupidly I thought you were speaking realistically. Anyway, it's Balmora. You speaked of in the centers there's water, the river, yeah, I know.
Oooooh can I ask one now?
You didn't get it.
While the path might go through Balmora, the village at the end is not Balmora.
The gate is Ghostgate, right? So is the answer Ghostgate?
The gate is Ghostgate, right? So is the answer Ghostgate?
The gateway is Seyda Neen.
Caldera?
Caldera?
Not a lot of water near Caldera.

Caldera?
Not a lot of water near Caldera.
Oh, I'm a bit confused by it all... Fort Moonmoth?

Caldera?
Not a lot of water near Caldera.
Oh, I'm a bit confused by it all... Fort Moonmoth?
You don't get to Fort Moonmoth by following the stream.

Caldera?
Not a lot of water near Caldera.
Oh, I'm a bit confused by it all... Fort Moonmoth?
You don't get to Fort Moonmoth by following the stream.
But it ends at Balmora, right?
Okay I'm going to do this now:
To solve my riddle
Thou must look at the sun
Then walk on the path
Leading away from the dawn.
Since you start at Seyda Neen, it's obviously seyda neen
To the gateway's north
You must walk forth
To the forest of stone
Houses the color of bone.
Yeah, Balmora
Halfway through the place
To the water point your face
Drop down with a splash
But pray, do not be brash
For you must follow the stream
Until the spot where you deem
That by looking in the way
Where the sun falls first
At first I though this meant follow the river north, but it never said that, in fact, the water goes south west.
You can honestly say
That within a verst
A certain village lies.
Now, if you are wise
You know the mileage
So you can easily speak
The name of the village
Or messily make a pick.
Okay, it's a little vague, but I'm going to say Hla Oad
How about Suran?
Okay, it's a little vague, but I'm going to say Hla Oad
That is correct.
How about Suran?
Suran is not to the west.
Where the sun falls first = dusk = west.
So... can I ask one now?
So... can I ask one now?
Fire away

Number pattern. See, it's a sequence of numbers, seemingly random 1s, 2s, and 3s. You have to tell me what sequence of numbers comes next.
This is a hard one. Answer it after we're done with DoomedOne's.
In the land of snow and ice
Go north, to the place
Where the waters meet thrice.
The path that you must face
Leads to the lair of the giant
Who is served by goblin kin
Who make him their tyrant.
Don't go that path, friend;
Instead go behind yourself.
Step backwards till the end
Of the shore near the spot
Where a goblin is elf;
Or thus people speak,
But these people aren't meek.
So go to the hall
Where the party is tall.
Then go towards Skyrim fair.
Oh, do not even dare
To go even further
Than the place
Of the natural murder
Of the frozen hare
(We assume that rabbits are men).
What must you do then?
While on the dwarvish contraption
You must make the action
Of going where everything started
Where a body of water
In three ways departed.
Now tell me outlander
But do not speak slander:
What geometrical shape
Did you get when you
Dragged your cape?

Sinder yours doesn't quite work because of the difference the ross have. Number of digits went 1, 2, 2, 4, 6 6, 8, 10.
The reason I said that is because otherwise you seem to have a solution. Of course, that's not the solution.

Between two numbers with the same number of digits there is always a number which is the only number with that number of digits.
I followed the pattern.
I have no idea what you two are talking about, can I please do Sinder's one now?
Sure, I guess he found a loophole.

15)Dragged my cape...?
Another one of my horrible riddles. An easy one.
In the city of light, the city of magic,
You must go to the place
Where there is a play of a tale that is tragic.
To exactly the other side of the city you must race
Then look towards where dusk meets north,
And see a nice manor, right in your face.
What is the name of the manor? Tell me, come forth.

1)In the land of snow and ice
2)Go north, to the place
Where the waters meet thrice.
3)The path that you must face
4)Leads to the lair of the giant
5)Who is served by goblin kin
Who make him their tyrant.
Don't go that path, friend;
6)Instead go behind yourself.
Step backwards till the end
Of the shore near the spot
7)Where a goblin is elf;
Or thus people speak,
But these people aren't meek.
8)So go to the hall
Where the party is tall.
9)Then go towards Skyrim fair.
Oh, do not even dare
To go even further
10)Than the place
Of the natural murder
Of the frozen hare
(We assume that rabbits are men).
What must you do then?
11)While on the dwarvish contraption
12)You must make the action
13)Of going where everything started
14)Where a body of water
In three ways departed.
Now tell me outlander
But do not speak slander:
15)What geometrical shape
Did you get when you
Dragged your cape?
1)Solstheim
2)Isild river and Harstrad river
3)Left
4)Castle Karstaag?
5)Rieklings
6)Raven Rock
7)That High Elf who thinks he is related to the Falmer and thinks the Rieklings are descendants of the Falmer
8)Thirsk
9)Left
10)I'm assuming that's where Hircine comes hunting. Is it... Altar of Thrond? (I never did the Solstheim main quest)
11)? That weather thingy in Mournhold?
12)Haven't done the Mournhold main quest....
13)Ok, I'm stymmied on this one. Or is it Tamriel? Because that's the nexus of all life..
14)Isald and Hardrad river again
15)Dragged my cape...?
1)Yes, Solstheim.
2)Right to the west of the Skaal village?
3)It's not a matter of left and right. Left and right can be confusing. Best to use north, west, south and east.
4)Apparently. Make sure you're facing it correctly.
5)Yes.
6)Not even close.
7)Nope.
8)Sure.
9)You mean west.
10)Frankly, that's some real wacky verse coming from me. It's not connected with the main quest, but it has a lot to do with a Dwemer ship...
11)Haha... No. This is Solstheim, not Mournhold.
12)That has nothing to do with it.
13)Where everything started... In this riddle!
14)Yes.
15)Following the riddle, you walked a lot around the place. On your path, suppose that you left footsteps. What geometrical shape did your footsteps create?
Another one of my horrible riddles. An easy one.
In the city of light, the city of magic,
You must go to the place
Where there is a play of a tale that is tragic.
To exactly the other side of the city you must race
Then look towards where dusk meets north,
And see a nice manor, right in your face.
What is the name of the manor? Tell me, come forth.

6)Skaal Village or Thirsk?
7)Can I please have a hint? I'm stuck on this one. As far as I know there are no goblins in Soulstheim or Vvardenfell only in Mournhold.
10)So that ship on the map is a Dwemer ship? I'll say that the Dwemer ship just south of the Moesring mountians (on the lower east bit) is my answer
11)Ok, is the contraption on the Dwemer ship?
12)No idea
13)I'll figure it out later when I have some more time, but it has something to do with the All-maker, right?
15)I guessed that, but I was a bit confused by the way you sayed it...
This is what I have so far, some of them are wrong because I just put in any answer because I didn't know what the answer is...

6)That's the fun part of the riddle.

10)That's good.
11)The ship itself is a contraption.
12)The action of going back...
13)No, it has something to do with going back to where the riddle started.

Nope. I never told you to go to Castle Karstaag, just to face the direction in which Castle Karstaag can be found and then walk backwards.
Is the answer Sadri/Thandas Manors?
Nope, the answer is not that.
Okay, this is a pattern of numbers, try and crack the pattern.
1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
1113213211
I have it! The answer just struck me like some magical thunderbolt of inspiration!
Each line is a description of the line above - you just have to read it out to yourself. First is comes the number of that digit, then comes the digit, ie 111221 has 3 ones, 2 twos and 1 one -> 312211.
So the answer is 31131211131221
*applause*

He can't possibly answer your question because he doesn't want to return to this forum.
He's probably counting all the guards right now.

What a very nice way of saying you banned him.
Sugar lips Habasi is the answer to your riddle Konrad
I just thought of a riddle based mon what that last guy said that left but Ineed to phrase it differently.
I am Ulyssus, an Imperial soldier. I have a cut up sword and shield, and dirty armor covered in mud. There are a lot of us, how many?
One?
Also I thought of a riddle.
My relative shelters shelters.
A house calls him home.
No one talks to him,
but he's never alone.
Who is he?
Is it the sky?
Nirn? Considering Nirn is a god, that makes sense...

Nope, all of you were wrong. See you all later.
You can't get my riddle? That means you all gave up?
I guess one for your riddle Doomed.
Do you guys want to know the answer to mine or do you think I should hold it off?

I have absolutely no idea
No jona, one has already been guessed.
There is a very easy answer to this riddle, but like many riddles you have to think outside the box.
Umm... none?
No
to the other riddle, my next guess would be fence
Nope.
Okay, since none of you can get my riddle, it's the Emporer crab's shell.
EDIT: I wrote the wrong thing.
Okay, since none of you can get my riddle, it's the Ald' Ruhn manor district. Tricky, eh?
Not really the Manor District.
The answer was the shell of the Emperor Crab.
The Manor District is just built within a part of it.
Ooops, put that down wrong. I meant to say the Emporer crab's shell, but I got it written down wrong.
Seems like a few posts have disappeared from the topic...
Oh, well. Let's have another riddle, then.
lol these are fun kool keep them up
