Anyone else have strange Morrowind hobbies or collections? I buy every robe I see and wear them on special occasions,
Any one else have one?
Take every good think I can see, even if its from a guard or a noble. I check their houses by sneaking around, and if I find a very powerful item I steal it :lickinglips:
I collect books. I caught this rare disease of my friend who has every rare book in morrowind and their location all written down.
Buy all female (skirts, robes, includes mods as well) clothing in every city/town/etc.!
Bribe and admire every guard in the area.
If I run out of money, I steal from the richest people, or from the Mages Guilds, or from outside of temples, then sell it all to this one cute Khajiit trader in Balmora.
Loot Ald Sotha repeatedly for far more daedric/ebony weapons than i could possibly sell in an entire Morrowind year
Ald Sotha? Is that a city or a settlement? Where is it on the map? I would like to know, for I like to know what daedric/ebony weapons are. :ashamed: Are those special/rare/strong kinds of weapons? Because lots of people always mention daedric/ebony weapons all the time, and I still have no clue what they are. :paperbag:

Ald Sotha is very close to Vivec.
Just go to the Silt Strider right outside of the Foreign Quarter and then walk east. You will find it, eventually.

Thanks, Sinder!
Ah, Vivec, a place to love and sort of hate. (Love shopping there, and it has everything, but it's so... big.) Those weapons are awesome! Thank you Sinder so much for the info and piccies!
When i had morrowind i used to just kill all the people with really good stuff and then go take it to some Dwemer place and drop it there in a nice and orderly fashion. The whole place was filled with Glass weapons and armor. Full sets of everything.
I also used to make floating candles (pile up some pillows, place a candle on top, remove the pillows).
Mod a different large scale abttle in every city.
I collect books i like, any ANYTHING with a unique name. I also colelct the ashes of every Vampire i kill, to keep tally, and i used to strip my opponents of all their equipment after killing them and leave the stuff i didn't want on the ground.
I'm trying to find out about the disappearance of the Dwarfs!!!!
I also hang around in my tower.

I did that. I got almost 600000 G in about one real day. Lucky for us Mudcrab is right there!
One of the thing I do it "buy" a house off the owner the decorate it. Some time with actual stuff you would need. But mostly with all the daedric and ebony weapons I find (Those Overflow loot bags are spawn of Saten himself!). I also go off searching for artifacts (i.e. Ice Blade of the Monarch). And I occastionly wear the white robe a guy ,whose name I cant remember, has in Mournhold, with Abdamantim (Is it possable to spell that!?) pauldrons... what? I like the look of it! :paperbag:
I make all my male characters wear skirts. I also read every book I find theyre pretty funny.
I collect expensive, rare, and/or hard to get items and offer them to shrines of the Daedric Princes. Of course, I give the choisest stuff to shrines of Sheogorath, particular the shrine of Him in Ihinipalit. I have a buttload of stuff in front of that shrine. So much, in fact, I have lost count of how much stuff and what that stuff is. :embarrassed2:
Another thing I do is use my enchanted helm, summon a Daedra and just walk around town with him. I'm trying to make a summoned gang
I collect Morrowind toy figurines (it was with some mod... I can't remember the name now) which pop up in random loot containers. I've got nigh on every critter, creature, statue and being in Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon arranged neatly around my house in Raven Rock
Something I also used to do (when I had first gotten Tribunal) was use Dracandros' Voice and one or two custom plug-ins to give me a large Hlaalu escort and an elaborate dress - when I visited the capital, I did it in style
Alas, many of my bodyguards soon fell victim to Gaenor... Although there's still some Hlaalu presence left in Mournhold to this day I think.
Ha! If you ever find where you got that mod please tell me!

Thanks! I will download that soon. Prepare to not see me...
EDIT: Nevermind, I need Tribunal/Bloodmoon... I hate not finding them...

Why not buy the GOTY version of Morrowind? It has both expansion packs.
Anyway, another strange hobby I like to do in Morrowind is to greet and bribe the most important people and guards (even people I plan to assassinate/kill), so that they love me (before I kill or steal from them)!
(I think I had the most problems in Vivec. Those guards are just so... unsatisfied.
) I just love being loved, no matter who it is!
I did not buy my copy, my friend gave it to me... and anyway it would be hard to find here, no one ever sells thier copy.
In the bowels of my stronghold, there is a Gallery of Souls. 1000s and 1000s of them.
Uh? HHow long did that take?
I collect books, pillows, scrolls, and anything that involves Dagoth Ur or Sixth House Cult.
Um.. I can't think of any weird hobby's.. I like to think that I own the House of Earthly Delights...
Heh, I use the merc mod in my game and I have gone around the whole game world with my Ira-shiru elf finding every single merc and putting them all in my massively improved Telvanni stronghold.
In morrowind I used to collect helmets.... Not sure that's so strange though...
I collect EVERYTHING the floor in the Balmora mages guild room and the area right in front of the Ald' Ruhn Temple is covered.
Interesting, I also had a collection of interesting stuff in my "house" in balmora.
Also a made a "daedric altar" with everything from floating skulls and soul gems.
That's another one I suppose, going about and setting up my house and freaking the residents of Balmora out by making daedric altars in the streets.
Weird stuff...hmmm...I live in a dwemer ruin near Fort Moonmoth(I think thats what the fort is called.) and I collect anything and everything that has a unique name. Especially items that aren't enchanted.
Personally I steered away from enchated items... I never have liked them. Good thing I got that mod to take out the glow.
I loved to rp a live person. I got a ring damages my fatigue on me when I wear it and i just use it on a bed.
Another weird hobby I've sort of grown into is collecting all of the game's books that cost over 200 gold.(They are generally better in my opinion than say a book that costs 20 gold.)
Buying books above a certain price?, I would call that odd.
Any book that costs under 200 gold makes me uninclined to pick it up off the ground let alone buy it...strange hobby? Yes...
I had a hobby of collecting scamp souls... I don't know why...
Oh that reminds me I like to collect souls with special names.(If there's a quest tied in I collect their souls after completing the quest.) Rollie the guar, the White Guar, Game rats, ghosts and deadra with names especially. Oh and I like books with peoples names tied into them regardless of price.
(Like Sharns legions of the dead.)
Oh hey!, that actually sounds unique, unique name soul collecting, I have to try that.
I have done that before, dagoth collecting was very enjoyable.
Lol, I used to soul collect all the time, but I never even considered unique soul collecting.
Though once I did try to harvest the soul of that senile guy in the Vivec Mage's Guild. Of course it didn't work but it was worth a try.
One very odd hobby/habit is that I tend to undress every bandit/assasssin I kill.
I have no idea why, though.
what i do is whenever i see a guard or someone with a strong, cool looking sword, helmet, or armor i fight them over to the death and steal it from them when they are dead. then i wear that armor until i find a better one. then i wear that one and so on and so on....
I usually do that except that if the weapon/armour in question is Unique I keep it in my stash which is curently in the balmora guild of mages bedroom area.
Another thing I do, though it is not in game, I download tons of mods, but never use half of them. I think I need help...
well im on the xbox and i put on a suit of indoril armor and presented myself to an ordinator. well they all hate me now, but if they try and get me, i usually kill them and collect their helmet. at my hlaalu stronghold. i cleared the shelves and filled them all up with ordinator helms, its a great sight. i also take their maces and i have over 30, when im in need i head over to mudcrab and sell them for 10 grand each.
I usually collect all kinds of axes and bows. I haven't started this with my newest character though.
Im now busy with collecting all the glasses and bottles and place them all in the temple where vivec used to be. It is a shame i cant walk on them, cause i would build some bridges out of gold coins. I hope you can walk on stacked items in Oblivion. Maybe u can build towers out of money
i collect 1 of every weapon and armor and sell the rest, i killed one of the shop keepers in balmora and took over his house/shop, lots of shelf space and countertop for display purposes
I try to collect alot of things. The only thing I have successfully collected was every robe/shirt/pants/skirt in game, its quite cool because alot of the clothing combinations look quite cool, especially some unique ones. And the expansions have clothing with female meshes!!
I take all sort fo random longswords and create designs in my house....
I also take off the shoes of all my kills and put them on their heads...
I collect every item in the whole game and put them in my balmora museum, I have every book, every set of kitchenware, instrument, weapon (except those that disapear, like when you do quests and...maybe I had a glitch....), well you get the idea btw my favorite book set is feyfolken.
This might sound strange but.....i like collecting candles
...dont no why but every time i come across a candle i pick it up and put it on top of my house
On top? doesn't that get in the way of the roofer when you get a leak? and what about when people sneak up on the roofs to get a good look at fireworks...yours is going to look junky and trashy...OMG are you imperial(white) trash (Disclaimer:I have like 12 friends that really are white trash so I don't mean anything bad by it I see it as an undesirable but valid lifestyle choice.)
I would do that except I was worried that the extra stuff might slow my load coming into towns
My character is such a suger mouth. There's bowls of sugar in her house and she always carries skooma with her.
It's irritating thing that most merchants wont barter unless you put down the skooma and moonsugar somewhere or eat it.
I have a bad habit of forgetting the doe in most strange of places and my character goes from town to town searching for it : Where's my skooma!!! :P
I picked up every Glass dagger that I could find and layed them down in rows on certain places in my house(s). They're so shiney o.0!
I have began to play MW again, and this time I have a habit of leaving a gem on enemy bodies, usually a diamond... some sort of a signature, so they would have something valuable for afterlife. I also leave worty enemies with their weapons and armor, but I take their money... weird, huh ?
I gues collecting one of all armor pieces and weapons isn't strange, but I collect PILLOWS
I have a house full of them
, too bad we can't pick them up in Oblivion
I collect jey's....can never have enough key's....I have about seven tables filled up with them....
And I also pick up every enchanted weapon I find, and lie them in a line in Balmora....poor city, the entire market square is filled up with enchated weapons...
Did you get the Dwemer Key? From what's his face in the fighter's guild? (yes very specific...
What key what key...the puzzle bok...wait a minute...*thinks*....yup, I did, as I remember, he give it to you, AFTER you have delievered the puzzlebox to him, and talked to him and waited a few times....yup, it have found it'self intomy collection...
I have every book in Morrind, Nearly every suit of armour, and hidden weapons all over my room (there's an Ebony Broadsword hidden under my pillow) I also have Keening sitting on top of nearly every piece of Dwemer plans in the game (I have't taken all the ones from Aryon, the Telvanni guy's tower. Yet...) I also have a corner of the room filled with stuff (Vampire dust, Fire Salt Ice Salt, etc) building a wall around a pyramid of the ash statues. I have also collected the shirt of every bandit, thief etc that has attacked me so far. (thats a LOT of shirts)
Besides that I have an outfit for every occasion, pretending to be a noble (i am a noble Grandmaster of Hlaalu), my normal light armour for fighting, thieving etc, a nearly full Deadric set for looking tough, and some ordinary clothes just to fit in sometimes.
i collect every single armor in the game and make the heads float in my personal house (killed the owner). If you were to walk into it it would be eerie because of all the floating helmets. I also kill entire cities in a special profile.
In my current game I am collecting every weapon/armour and displaying it across the houses in Balmora (stole the idea off this thread). I keep track of them by putting the helmets on the sets I have in each house on each side of the doorway. There is ALOT of armour types in MW, some of them look pretty cool even but you really have too look at them to appreciate them. The armour would have looked better if they highlighted it more but that would have ruined much of the atmosphere.
Damn it, I want to play now!
I used to have an obsession with collecting Ordinator helmets. They all attacked me permenantly on my first account from when I wore indoril in Vivec and talked to one... so I made a hobby of collecting their helmets. I covered the roof of every building in Balmora with them and was beginning to pave the streets before Oblivion came out...
I also liked collecting the books and ended up converting half of Balmora into libraries just to accomodate my book collection. Dwemer artifacts also fascinated me... I had a whole bunch of them and was scouring every ruin for them before I was distracted by deciding to try covering Balmora in Ordinator helmets
another wierd thing i do is that i always wear a dark brotherhood right pauldron and right gauntlet (?). also, i take off my dark brotherhood armor (except for the pauldron and gauntlet) when I'm in town and wear exquisite pants and shoes but no shirt.
kinda wierd
i guess i like full metal alchemist too much
haha... one strange hobbie i have in MW is making my dinner tables(the majority of which are from house mods/ex. balmora expansion/ my mournholdmanor/ archmage tower) look pretty by adding certain ingred's that i would eat if i were in morrowind onto tables and plates...

I also like to take pictures with Queen Eowyn npc from the "Helios Keep" mod
almost like... my character and her were both king and queen...
I have a complete collection of mundane weapons and armor (no unique items allowed) and display them with the Mannequins Mod in my house. I also make my character wear nothing while fighting hand-to-hand regaurdless of situation. It evens things out when I have boxing matches with Vivec. I also use the Amulet of Domination to make NPCs crowd around my house, then I get them all to fight me at once just to see if the naked madman can face down the masses and win.
I make spells that are so powerful you can't even cast them with Atronach, Altmer, 100 willpower/intelligence and 100 skill in the right school. I need tgm or serious buffing just to even have a chance to cast it. But the devastation is all worth it.
And they always look cool on the magic screen.
My Morrowind mage has over 1700 magicka without Mantle of woe, cheats or mods; so I have a few spells like that which although I have enough magicka for, 100 skill isn't enough to cast them, so I have a few fortify destruction etc 100 spells for when I want to start frying some gods.
1700 Magicka?!
How do you do that?
High elf, apprentice (atronach has more magicka but I don't like the stunted magicka) and a ton of enchantments, I still have some more slots to fill so I could get some more, with mantle of woe I have something like 2400 but I usually just wear Robe of Drake's pride for the feather.
Ah, so it's just a matter of enchanting every single piece of clothing and armour? Maybe I'll try that someday. But I have to admit that my Redguard only uses rings and amulets so he's not too heavily enchanted. (Roleplaying reasons)
Ok, this is an old thread I know. However, I just have gotten myself a new Morrowind 'hobby'. After all, after going through all the quests a couple of time you need to roleplay in order to keep yourself entertained.
With my latest character, I collect every robe I see. I then keep them around in my inventory for special occasions. Normally, I use a common brown robe to look like your average pilgrim. For Mage bussiness he wears a common blue robe. When talking to nobles he wears an expensive green robe. Finally, when my character has to fight, he switches to the blue extravagant robe with that big spider hugging the chest. (my favoruite robe) It adds to the looking good factor when he's frying everything in sight with big shock spells.
I even go so far as pretending that each robe is a separate identity. Too bad none of the NPCs want to play along with that though.
In morrowind I collected every piece of clothing in the game, some of the rarer ones look quite cool. In oblivion I am also collecting every piece of clothing in the game, and I also change clothing depending on what I'm doing and the weather, there is a piece of clothing for every occasion.
Well.
For Roleplaying reasons, I exploited Solsthiem. Why, you ask? Well i gladly tell you.
There is no black robe available easily in the game, none. Not One! Except on the dead corpse of a Glemoril Witch, and I needed a black robe for my New Nightblade Character, the Breton Daric Thorn.
So yes, I was running around Solsthiem with the Boots of Blinding Speed, speeding through the main quest, with a level two breton nightblade, good stuff. And yes, all for a three pound, unenchanted ROBE! Tell me thats not dedication!
Now to work my way up the Morag Tong once more for the Black gloves to match them!
Whats that you say? You were in Solstheim, wear Treachery and Deceit? I AM! I HATE the look of enchanted clothes! When swimming underwater, I look like Mickey Mouse wearing his white gloves!
That's dedication alright.
Also a nice challenge I've made for myself is the no weapons challenge. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who's done this but it really brings you back in perspective. I mean, everyone can swing a giant Claymore and do 80+ points of damage with each hit but it takes patience to punch all your foes into Oblivion. I also don't buy any form of armor. Light armor is allowed but only when looted from defeated enemies. And no Glass.
Finally, no offensive spells or boosting of stats through other means than potions. And only one potion active at any time. I can't wait till I get to challenge Atronach's. Or think of the humiliation when I defeat Dagoth Ur with a fist to the mask.
I have a falmer character (which I haven't played in a month or two, but who I'll get back to) who is honor-bound to (eventually) kill every nord she meets. (Falmer + nord = violence) Including nords who provide services. Just wait until she gets to Solstheim...
I like to free slaves
i like collecting daggers and enchanting them i dont know why. but from what i read what i do isnt as weird as the stuff other people do
