Seeing the "See Sethyas" thread I thought it would be nice for us all to post some updated screenies of our characters we use in game/fanfics etc... I have a few new ones myself that I could post for everyone's viewing pleasure.
^ Xander Casting a Healing Spell.
^ Minque's favorite
^ Xander looking over Anvil from his balcony.
^ A face not even a mother can love.
^ Not very impressed at all.
^ Speak softly, and carry a huge axe!
And there you have it folks! Feel free to post all of your characters here!
Unfortunately, I don't play Oblivion on the computer, and my digital camera is real quirky and skittish. I think I'm getting another one for Christams, so I'll try to get a screenshot of Ian then...... But as far as Revan, it's unlikly that I can get a screeny of him (seeing as he's not a member of a playable race in Oblivion or Morrowind).
But this thread is a great idea, and I hope more people post their characters on this topic.
Please don't mind the graphic glitches. I'll get a decent bit of hardware in say....2 years.
So meet, Luper.
One Ordinator is going to have a major headache.
Luper is not your average Redguard. Sure, he loves his sword but he also loves fire. Lots of fire. Also, don't worry, the Telvanni are used to this.
Mighty Luper. Glad to see you adding some pics to this thread Cloudy. Nicely done and hopefully you can beef up the old PC so you can play Oblivion soon.
Not as good as the previous ones, but here he is. Also, I couldn't get a good front view so you're stuck looking at his back.
I present to you, the most overpowered mage in the Luper series. An acient vampire with a mastery over Magicka that makes Vivec look like a child. The Wanderer with the power to cross over to various planes, like a living Sigil stone. It's none other than Aureus Lucis.
When he came into town, the Hlaalu were intrigued. When they found out more about him, including his opinion on corruption, they decided that honest trading was good for business.
And yes, that's a Nord hairstyle on an Imperial head. It was the closest thing to what I actually wanted. Only the funky tail needs to be removed.
Well, heres a HORRIBLE shot I took with my phone off my TV...its Sethyas, as I play him, with that badarse Bonemold Longbow, in the Shrine of Azura.
And heres another one, with him in the underdeck of teh chun-ook, holding a dwemer crossbow. Yes, he knows how to use that, and yes, he will use it.
Well I know you´ve seen her before..but anyway, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/minque/Serene%20of%20Cyrodiil%20kap%203/ScreenShot83.jpg
It's too bad that the X-box doesn't support screenshots. Still, that doesn't remove Sethyas' coolness at all. Nah, I'll just imagine that he has a low level chameleon working.
Yup, I've seen Serene before. *looks at the lower-right corner of the screen* Allow me a little off-topic comment. Enchantment overload in Gnisis!
well, everyone sure looks cool, I might have some shots of my characters that I can dig up for you all, granted they will be none that you know....
and yes 'tis a shame that xbox can't have screen shots. I'm sure there is a way to wire you xbox and your computer up but i don't know.
and who is that chick Minque, i don' think i've seen her in these parts... jk she looks good as always
Howdy.
I don't play oblivion much anymore, but here's one of my characters, Jonas Sancter:

A bit of costum texturing, nothing fancy. I change the textures a bit for all my characters.
i like that last one, its wallpaper worthy
ha ha ha the unicorn is hilarious, you see the cap'n ridding a pink unicorn... not exactly what you'd expect
I've been playing this game lately called Super Robot War. (It's somewhat similar to Fire emblem and for the GBA.) In it, one of my favourite characters is Sanger Zonvolt. Why? Because he pilots one of the biggest robots and uses a sword more than twice as big (Called the Colossal Blade). That, and he has some great lines.
So, I decided to recreate him in Morrowind. (It took a female grayscaled hairdo.) Now here's a funny situation that happened in a smuggler's cave. I'd say Sanger himself says it best.
,,I am Sanger Zonvolt! The sword that smites evil! There is nothing I cannot cut!"
Yup, that includes the legs of our poor smuggler.
One last thing about the Colossal Blade. Compared to the robot holding it, it is much larger than the Claymore in the pic. So yes, it is Colossal.
OK, here comes that shady argonian assassin, Always-He-Lingers-in-the-Sun... don't mess with him.

Oh, Al's got a nice robe. And point that thing somewhere else! *runs before viperbolts fill the air.*
Lectric is a scary dude. Have you figured out a name for him yet?
I just donwloaded and installed both better bodies and better heads. Now finally Jiub no longer looks like he's starving, yay! (Though what happened to his nose looks painfull. He's got like tree really big rings stuck in it.
New mod means starting over again, so here's the latest Luper Alkad. He looks fine, though his nose is a bit too big and he would probably grab the nearest dagger and cut off those two side tails.
This picture is what I call: Yeah, I didn't have a fishing pole so I used my saber instead. It works fine. Not that I would use a fishing pole even if I had one, mind you.
The sidetails are goofy, but he does have a wicked tail at the back to compensate. Oh yeah.

Odd, the links appear to be broken for me.
This started as a joke and I still laugh when I think of the scenario.
,,I'm your Emperor, Uriel Septim VII! You have no right to do this! I'm not Jagar Tharn in disguise, he's death! Let me out of this jail right at once!"
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m9/jackcloudy/ScreenShot22.jpg
Pixelfest! Meet Cluson Alkad, Luper's dad. In other words, I got Arena to work. Whoopie!
Anyway, he's still first level as you can see with a Goblin as his only kill. My first venture into the character screen was rather amusing. Those guards must be really dumb to throw a guy in jail but letting him keep his Broadsword.
I just recently got Morrowind on the computer and I don't know how to take screenshots. How do you take screenshots?
Loving the pictures folks. Very nice work indeed. The arena pic kind of knocked me off my chair. I wasn't expecting it at all. But a very powerful family tree if Cluson is Luper's dad. Apple not falling far from the tree and whatnot. Good work all.
I personally don't understand why screenshots are disabled by default. I'd changed the ini file before I even fired up the game for the first time.
And that's one sweet pic of Al. An action shot, love it. (Though he's not exactly stealthy here, is he? )
And Taillus, it kind of depends on your point of view whether or not Cluson is Luper's dad. Biologically, Luper is 100% Akatosh. This would mean he only has one parent. On the other hand, you could add in Azura's part in his creation and say that Akatosh is his dad and Azura his mum.
Finally, he was raised by a crew of mortal Redguard smugglers. Cluson was their leader.
Anyway, I made another pick. I've made quite a bit of progress. Look at all the sweet stuff I have! It's not visible in the list, but he's also wearing a bracelet of agility and a mithril belt. (10 agility from the bracelet and an even lower AC from the belt. Love it.) I never use the cuirass' enchantment though. He leaps far enough without it.
Bragging time. After a long trek into a foul Valenwood pit, across dangerous waters, past deep chasms, through an unending horde of Spellswords (Gah, fireballs and a weakness to Magicka!), I have uncovered one of the greatest relics ever.
That's right, it's Auriel's magnificent longbow! This thing is neat! You won't believe the firing rate this monster has. I can fire two arrows before the first one lands on a rat standing two steps away. On the other hand, what does a knight need with a bow? And it has already passed from New to almost new. I wonder if it is because of the arrows or the single time I tried its spell. If the durability rating is attached to the spell usage, then using it as a normal bow would make it indestructible!
And here's the ingame description.
Now all I need to do is to get out of there.
So here is my current Morrowind character, Rashelle.
http://users.bestweb.net/~pogo/piccy/rashelle_v2_armor.jpg
She's a Breton Spellsword, born under the sign of the Atronach. The black cuirass is from a plugin that changes the look of the ebony armor. Dark brotherhood greaves and adamantium boots complete the look. The armor on the left is just a mishmash of armor types she had when at a lower level. The sword is Chrysamere.
My dad gets home tonight, so tomorrow I will be asking him where the camera is (Don't have the PC version), then I will be posting a picture of my beloved character Larrius Varro. Perhaps I will even get a pic of him entering the Shivering Isles...
Not a character I'm playing as, but I just have to post him. One reason: He's badass, totally badass.
Tharny! The coolest evil Battlemage in Tes history. King of Worms, Dagoth Ur, Barenziah on a bad day? They're nothing compared to this multi-blooded Battlemage. And unlike most villains, he's got a reason to stay home and letting his minions do the job.
1: His minions are so powerful, few mortals can stand longer than five seconds against them.
2: He's got a fricking empire to rule, don't expect him to go out and hunt the whole continent for a little rat.
Oh, I nearly forgot the pic.
See, he's really cool looking. In fact, he's so cool I made him into my avatar. Unfortunately I had to cut out the equally cool staff. It passed the pixel budget and the resulting rescaling made Tharn look like he hadn't eaten in days.
And on a side note, here's a pic of Fang Lair, the place where the first piece is hidden.
Apart from the fact that it shows the architectural change in Dwemer work between Arena and Morrowind, there is the interesting detail of all the Dragon statues. In particular, the Dragon just right of the castle. Is it just me, or is this dragon in the same position as the one you find on the Templar cuirass in Morrowind? Or the box art of pre-GOTY morrowind.
I've only got one screeny from Oblivion, that I took with my phone (It's on my Xbox 360) and that is my character's face:
I'll try get more soon.
~Hamish~
Always-He-Lingers-in-the-Sun is back in black.
Hmm, black is good. Yes, very good. And is that Mournhold in the background? Neat.
And I've done it. It was a four hour struggle that has not yet ended. (books don't work.) BUT DAGGERFALL WORKS!!!!!!! Eh, sorry. I just had to shout that. If only I had a manual so I knew what button did what.
So here's my Daggerfall character. Semir Grey. Yup, I'm not too modest here. He is the Emperor's most trusted servant. (Well, with Tharnie gone, he doesn't have much competition left.)
Semir was sent to Daggerfall to stop a ghost army and destroy a lost letter that should have arrived years ago. Nothing big. Sure, he had to come out of retirement for it, his skills are a tad rusty, and he doesn't even know where to start. But he doesn't think it will be that hard. Hop on a boat, sail to Daggerfall, whack some baddies, have a drink, go home and collect the cash. Simple, not?
But as luck would have it, his ship crashed and he's now stranded in a cave filled with rats, bats, a skeleton, some bears and several cannibals. How will he get out of there, without any weapons to use? Fortunately, he is a weapon himself. As you can see in the pic, he's rather pissed at life right now. Pissed old Breton with elite fists of unstoppable punishment = bad odds for the baddies.
And I must say I consider Daggerfall's emperor much better than Oblivion's. This guy is bald, sits in a dark room and NEVER smiles. Not even when he says: ,,...and as a friend." I think he's damn cool, and so is his mage friend with the torch. Compare this with Oblivion's Uriel who not only has a pathetic hairdo in my opinion, but every shot I've seen of him has him smiling as if he just won the lottery. Smiling while he knows that his painfull death is mere moments away.
Do you sense a Daggerfall story forthcoming, Jack? You know, after you finish all your other stories. If ever. You've got a lot of stories.
^Creeping around the Mournhold sewers, avoiding melee combat with the amped-up undead

LMAO!!!
The quests don't work, including the main quest. I'm going to reinstall and see what happens. I hope it will work properly because if it does, a Daggerfall fanfic will definitely be on the list.
Now to the comments on the pics.
Pull the trigger, pull it! You know you want to!
So cool that you've got Daggerfall Jack! I've only ever played the demo, but I simply loved it, despite the graphics. I particularly like the fact that you can change the style of one particular piece of armour to make it look just like you want it to.
And to give you all food for thought, imagine if you had Daggerfall with Oblivion graphics. Wouldn't it be amazing? Then imagine if you have Oblivion with Daggerfall graphics. How would that be? Now compare Daggerfall to Oblivion and see which one has better gameplay. Pretty enlightening ain't it?
Well unfortunately, my dozen reinstalls all crapped out. At the moment I'm at the point where character creation works like a charm and so do the intro movies. But at the moment where Privateer's hold is supposed to load, I get a black screen and nothing. I've waited half an hour (multiple times) and still nothing.
Here's an image of my current Ob character, Madrukh Gro-Bogrum. Sorry for the name borrowing Jack.

Madrukh getting drunk at the Flowing Bowl.
Nylea at her indoor fountain/garden. This is in The Elder Vaults Island mod. Just a sneak preview from the building process. This house actually is a Potions Cottage belonging to Maja, our hotfingered Battlemage .. she likes to pick up trinkets now and then so the potion selling is a good cover for her more dishonest tendencies.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x224/BrainRat/fountaingarden.jpg
Woah, Griff. That's awesome. I like him, up to the hair. Hey, can I copy this one over to Madrukh's character thread? The name is funny by the way. I have Gro-Bolg Madrukh, while yours starts with the Madrukh bit. I've got to check the Imperial library though. Adding Gro- to a name sounds Orsimer, but what does it mean? 'warrior' or something?
And is that Orcish armour in the first pic?
And you can actually become drunk in Oblivion? Sweeeeeettt!!!! (Says the guy who absolutely hates alcohol in real life to the point it borders on alcoholphobia)
Nice cottage, Ibis. I see you have flowers for alchemy (or just decoration), paintings, a dwemer lamp. The only thing I'm not sure about is the giant cross. Maybe it's just me, but christianity and TES don't feel like a good match.
"Gro-" is a patronym which means "son of", kind of like the Arabian term "bin". That, ironically, makes your Orc's name kind of odd, if not a bit backwards. As to wheter you can use it, of course you can. And, regarding your first question, yes that cuirass is Orcish. So are the gauntlets and the boots (which can't be seen). It is worn armour however, so it isn't as good as a top-knotch Orcish cuirass.
And you can't get drunk in vanilla Oblivion. That's where mods come in. I have something like 5-7 mods but OOO is the most important. It really makes Oblivion the game it should have been. It replaces the levelling system with a more Morrowind-like system in which enemies stop levelling once they reach a certain level. Also, unlike Oblivion, Orcish armour doesn't appear past level 15. My character for example, is level 3 but he got his Orcish armour while raiding a fort at level 1. I suggest you get OOO since Oblivion is horrid without it. It also adds a realistic economy system, realistic animal behaviour and getting drunk!
Yeah, I found out. Gro- means as much as male and is put before the family name. That does make my name kind of odd. On the other hand, isn't it customary in say Japan to put the family name before the personal one? I remember Masaki Andoh once identifying himself as Andoh Masaki. Though here we're talking about a fictional Japanese in a translated game originally from Japan so it isn't perfectly accurate. That, and I was too busy drooling at his giant robot to really notice anyway.
I know about OOO and will download it, but not now. Downloading a full gigabyte worth of modding for a game I can't currently run in the first place goes a bit too far.
The realistic animal behaviour (and the levelled list change) sounds like some of the top points basic Ob is really missing. I know it is an RPG, but I kinda get pissed at how everything including my grandma wants me dead in these kind of games.
And you never see wolf packs or anything, and it's so easy to fight wolves because if you dodge the first split second of their bite then they'll continue the action for another two seconds and you get a free attack in.
I hope TES: V will be like Oblivion, but address the shortcomings well enough. I still play Oblivion on the 360, so I don't have the luxury for mods (other than dowloads) like you PC users. I've never been able to play Morrowind for more than a couple of hours, and the game just seemed slow and annoying to me.
The speed your moving should match more with how fast your legs are moving, and you can tell that shoulders and torsos are indepenant of one another just by looking at them.
So as bad as Oblivion is sometimes made out to be, I whole-heartedly prefer it over Morrowind.
Oh that cross came because it's a Celtic tavern building. There was the big stone cross outside in a little garden: so when I made the room for my indoor garden fountain, I copied the cross and made it smaller for the water to come out of the base. Took the tapestry from the main room where I put the door to my room instead.
You know, I've always wondered why there weren't any wolf packs in Oblivion. Mighty glad there aren't. But although I've heard of lone wolfs, I think that in real life most wolves roam in packs.
The Chinese write their names backwards, beggining with the family name, not the Japonese. Romanians also sometimes say their names backwards, especially in formal situations. Informally however, they use the regular naming system. My name for example, Mihai Ionita, would become Ionita Mihai in a very formal situation, at school for example.
Regarding OOO, once you can run Oblivion you absolutely must get OOO, it's the best mod out there. Also, for a more comprehensive list of mods that make Oblivion much more interesting, check out this link. It also mentions wheter the respective mods conflict with OOO or not.
http://aelius28.googlepages.com/home
Well, the wolves in packs are what you need to be extra wary of, lone wolves mostly scavenge or feed upon wounded or ill animals. The packs go after big game (caribou, buffalo, and moose) and lone wolves if I'm not mistaken.
While being called one isn't a bad thing to us, a lone wolf isn't any tougher than a member of a pack, less so, I suppose, seeing as they'd have a tougher time getting food and having to avoid packs. Lones probably don't live a long or reasonably pleasant life.
Guess who's in Cyrodiil...
If it wasn't for the robe, I'm afraid I wouldn't recognize him. This new Al looks great though. The green spots are quite prominent. I do miss the big nasty horn on his nose though.
Oh, and if that's an ebony shortsword, I think Bethesda made the handle a bit too big. Seriously, you could wield that thing with two hands.
I miss the horn, too. And I agree about the shortsword. That said, it's an excellent weapon.
I'm most disappointed in the new look of the daedric dagger, though. The old serrated blade was so cool, and now it's just wavy. I'll try to post a picture of that.
Edit:
Hmm, yeah. Kills-You-Dead looks a whole lot less threatening like this. It's a real shame.
I always loved the Daedric dagger myself. If shortblades was my thing instead of longblades, I'd wield one of those and never look back. Seriously, that thing looked like a claw born and bred to rip out hearts in the most gruesome fashion imaginable.
Alright, these aren't Al shots, but I wanted to share:

Red Diamond Jewelry has, by reputation, the finest store security in Cyrodiil. Akatosh save the rest of Cyrodiil, then.
,,You called?"
*Agh! Get away, you freaking arrogant Guar! Don't you have a world to save or something?*
Sorry, I just thought of Luper when you said Akatosh. I should get some pictures of him, someday...maybe.
The moon with nighteye suddenly looks a whole lot more earthlike, doesn't it? Normally they're rather reddish, I think.
And either security is indeed crap, you're using 100% Chameleon or you're just plain too good. Let's go with good. Some self-flattery never hurt anyone.....if properly limited.
PS: I hope you don't use 100% Chameleon gear. No consequences really takes the fun out of playing for me.
Edit: Ok, security is crappy in a way. The guy doesn't notice all the stuff you threw away as 'not valuable enough to be worth stealing'.
What actually happened with that bottom picture is that I saw a handbill for the store boasting of its security, so I broke in at night and opened up all the "hard" and "very hard" locks, pickpocketed the store owner (as he slept) for the key to the locks that couldn't be picked, and then tossed some stuff around. Didn't actually steal anything (aside from the key, I suppose--still have that) but just wanted to prove a point. Boasting about the quality of your security--not a good way to deter break-ins.
But yeah, it was more or less all skill. The "Skeleton Key" helped, but the sneaking was all natural. Such is the way of the Thieves Guild's new leader.

Is Al a stealth-based character? If so, how exactly do you go about playing one of these buggers? I've recently started play with a Breton stealthy guy which has Sneak, Marksman, Light Armour, Blade, Illusion, Alteration and one other thing as major skills. He's currently level 2 but what's annoying me is that he's weak as hell in most situations and it gets pretty annoying when you fight something stronger than a rat or a random goblin.
How exactly do you play a Stealth guy so you actually have fun? I mean, arrows are pretty erratic and there are some cases when you don't even get the chance to use stealth. Like for example when you have to face an NPC in a quest and he has to talk to you before you can properly kill him. The only thing you can do is pepper the honoured user with arrows but I hate the way you kill something with arrows in Oblivion (i.e. run backwards while making a pin-cushion out of your enemy). What exactly should I do so as to get satisfaction from my character.

Heh, what a coincidence for this thread to get back to life. I've just gotten Daggerfall to work perfectly. I even got the offer of following a tutorial. I accepted, but it was a bit wonky. I was already bashing in a thief while the tutorial uberexcited told me to ready a weapon and take on that rat behind the secret door! I was all like: ,,Rat? You mean the one I whacked like....four rooms ago?"(Well, I had to sacrifice sounds and movies, but I think I can rectify that with a simple copy and paste job)
For stealth characters, I don't have much advice. But this is Oblivion, right? If so, poison would probably be your friend. But then again, that takes preparation time. If you're not willing to do that, you're in bad luck. Enchantments could help, but I don't consider a glowing dagger stealthy.
Anyway, since Daggerfall works now including quests and factions, I've made myself a new character to celebrate. I'm roleplaying this one. Basically, I wanted a character that could integrate in multiple societies easily and rip off people with a smooth tongue. So I went with Khajiit, which are surprisingly human here. If it wasn't for the tail, you couldn't tell. Add a robe, and you absolutely can't tell. I also picked female, cause I'm a guy and females work better at the charming thing IMHO.
Personality-wise, she is addicted to power. All kinds of spells are her thing. (Mage guild, watch out!) I'm also aiming for vampire here. From what I've read, Daggerfallian vampires are somewhat worse than Cyrodiilic in the sun department but much better than Morrowind's. Oh and get this, I've read that they've got an imunity to iron and steel weapons. Guess what the guards use?
One last oddity, I don't use weapons. If you're going to fight, keep it personal. Besides, she may be the most humanoid Khajiit I've ever seen, I bet she still has some sharp little claws. (Although, I stick to kicks so it doesn't really matter.)
Oh, and some pics I suppose.
Please, don't ask. I was surprised at the lack of proper coverage myself. Most characters end up having a good shirt, rather than this breezy affair. At least I found some boots already.
And one easy dungeon later. (Ok, not so easy. I had to zap all the humanoids and run away from the skeleton.)
One robe and a full helmet. Don't ask me why I'm using a shield though. It just boosts the armour rating. Although, it would be cool if I could bash with it. (those little fists just don't have the same kind of impact as a huge sheet of steel.)
Well, that might be it. I don't really have a lot of poisons in my inventory. I don't really have the ingredients to brew them myself and I can't really find a shop from where to buy them either. This is also my first stealthy character so I guess that also counts for something since, up until this Breton, I've only been used with swashbuckling combat guys like Redguards, Imperials or Orcs. To be honest I think I'll erase this Breton guy, brandish him as a failure and start anew with something more down my alley, like a spellsword!
But then again I'd be terribly disappointed at the fact that I kind of missed out on the Thieves Guild quests. I know I can be the head of all the guilds with a single character, no matter what class he is, but it just feels like cheating to me if you play Thieves Guild quests with a Battlemage character. I tried it and I know how awful it feels. Well, this Breton guy isn't exactly your average thief. He's more of a hunter type of character, someone who wanders the wilds, looking for unnatural fiends to slay. I guess that's where the name of his class originates from (fiend slayer). When he's in a town he has a penchant for breaking into places and robbing them blind. Let's just say he's the curious type.
I guess I should try to make him more buff so he can outlast his enemies in melee, like my usual characters do. I'll also build up a proper inventory of poisons fit for a proper thief (and assassin, and hunter and monster slayer). That's what makes my stealth Breton so awkward. He isn't really a thief but he ain't a straightforward hunter guy either. He's more of an odd mix.
EDIT: Thanks for the advice Canis, it's really appreciated, coming from someone more used to stealth guys. No offense Jack
If you want to make some poisons, start by picking up some nightshade. It grows all over. Clouded funnel cap, whisp stalk cap... in Blackwood you can find stinkhorn and elf cup. All of those damage health, I think, or damage some attribute. Yeah, poison your blade, poison your arrows... And as you are a hunter, if you get your alchemy skill up enough you'll find that venison also damages health. Yeah, it restores health and damages health. Figure that one out.
Great, the only problem would be the fact that I don't have alchemy as a major skill. Oh well, if Damage Health is the first attribute of said plant then there shouldn't be any problems. Thanks for the advice, I'll look for the Nightshade.
And, as I said before, my character isn't really a hunter. He is more of a stealthy guy who likes to clear out caves full of monsters and other unnatural creatures like vampires or ghosts and has a penchant for stealing things so he can get by while he's in a city (have enough money to sleep under a roof etc.). This guy basically has some pretty big cash flow issues.
All in all, I'd say he's pretty interesting to roleplay. I mean, you just have to reach his mindset. Kill some creature, sell what you skin off it, get on with your life another day. When money's just running low, find a shop or some wealthy guy's house and rob it blind then fence the stolen goods (that's where Thieves Guild membership comes in).
Your alchemy will increase pretty fast.--getting it above 25 will cover most of what you want. Try to harvest every ingredient that you can and make a potion. It does not matter if the potion is useful to you or not; you can sell the undesirables (it's an easy way to make some scratch) and get some experience that will be valuable in the long run.
Alright, now for some actually bloody screenshots.

My Breton stealth guy is now dead. I've replaced him with a Bosmer ranger dude which is somewhat more fit for combat than the Breton. I based his class on the already existing "Archer" class, with a few nips and tucks here and there to suit my needs.
And you proposed imposing challenges Canis. I did just that. I started the game in Anvil (I have a mod which starts you out on a ship instead of the IC dungeons) and, the moment I stepped off the boat, I went on a trip, from Anvil to Chorrol. Pretty simple huh? A trip between these two cities with no stops in between. Well, the only snag was that I made this trip by going through the wilderness. To give you an image of my course, I left Anvil and headed NW, along the Gold Coast until I reached the River Brena which is part of the border between Cyrodiil and Hammerfell. The River Brena is basically one big gorge so I went along its bank. After getting attacked by two bandits and their dog, I continued my journey through County Kvatch. I could see the ruined city in the distance yet my target was Chorrol not Kvatch.
I soon arrived in the broken foot-hills most call the Colovian Highlands. It truly is a barren wasteland, save the occasional bandit camp or abandoned mine. In the Colovian Highlands I had an untimely run-in with a minotaur which chased me almost all the way to Chorrol. He lost interesting eventually and left me alone. After being attacked by a wolf I soon found myself near the place where the Black Road, which led to Chorrol, started. I was atop the ridge of the hill, trying to look in the distance yet fog blocked my view of the land. After a few moments of trying to look around and see where I was in relation to the Black Road, I heard battle music. I drew my blade and looked around, but saw nothing. After a few more moments I was still tense, looking to see what was attacking me, hoping the Minotaur had not caught up. In the end I found out what was stalking me and it was not a Minotaur. No, not a Minotaur, merely a bloodthirsty Troll. After seeing the beast I resumed running towards Chorrol. After a short sprint the Troll lost interest and left me to my own affairs. Safe from the Troll, I could see the road. There were two bandits there however, a Redguard and a Khajiit. Sneaking up on them, I shot a spell from the ridge of the hill I was descending. They were alerted to my presence when I shot the spell however and the Redguard came after me. He couldn't climb the hill though so I was safe and able to bombard him with fireballs (I didn't have a bow so I had to rely on the basic Destruction spell every player has).
After a minute of firing spells at him however I soon felt a Silence spell hit me. I turned around to see who had cast the spell, expecting to see that the other bandit had circled around me yet I saw a Mystical Imp (the worst kind of Imp there is). Sensing that I was involved in a hopeless battle, I quickly ran, passing by the bandits and finally reaching the road. Once there, I started following the road to Chorrol. As I ran to Chorrol I gathered a few more followers (namely a pack of wolves) yet in the end I managed to kill both bandits and one of the wolves. The other wolves I managed to scare off after swinging my sword at one of them.
With that great ordeal done, I finally reached Chorrol. You can't imagine how glad I was to finally see those great big walls looming from between the trees. How's that for a challenge at Level 1?
Decided to return to the forums I started in, and I find there is a bit of renewed life here Very glad to see it. Been looking through the screenshots here andhave enjoyed all the great work. Well done! And Morrowind shots too! (plus Daggerfall and Arena - never palyed those myself)
While I'm here, I may as well post a few shots of my own.

Hm, nice mods you have there Chiglet. I dabble in mods myself but I keep it limited to things that affect the gameplay and the game-world (items, landscape etc.) so I don't really use mods which tinker with the appearance of NPCs. Still, judging by the look of the guy in the last picture (he's a vampire right?) it seems one of these mods would be worthwhile, if just to escape the bland appearance of all Oblivion NPCs.
One of these days I'll post my latest character too.
love dem nipple rings
Oh man, should have given my advice, I play a Breton Male 'pure' assassin in OB, and a Breton female custom nightblade, closer to morrowinds version, which was far more accurate to the true nature of the nightblade, the OB's.
But with assassins, the secret of thier success, is definitely alchemy. There are potions, that you could make with shield spells, as combat is usually unavoidable. Always snipe your target, with poison, when possible. And if you don't mind cheesing, when outnumbered, dissapear with Chameleon/Invisibility potions. Though that can get the gameplay too easy after a while, my suggestion is this:
North of Skingrad, there is a dungeon called "Goblin Jims Cave", now a bit NW of there, there is a doomstone called the Jone Stone. With a mere ten points of fame you can gain the power called 'Jones Shadow'
Invisibility for 120 seconds, Fortify sneak, athletics, acrobatics 30 points for 120 seconds on self. Once a day. Plus its a nicer spell then the 60 sec you get from a shadow birthsign, or you could get both. Whatever.
Its a great way for last minute escapes that still keeps you on the edge of your seat, and its long enough for whatever is chasing you to give up.
"But I dont want to just go there immedeatley after I get ten points of fame. I'm a roleplayer, what's my motivation?"
No problem, theres a guy in the Fighters Guild in Skingrad who will mark the dungeon location on your map, when you ask about Goblin hunting, even my assassin is in the Fighters Guild. He needs a way to cover up his income from the Thieves Guild.
A few other stealth points:
Try to stay in dark locations when sniping, its possible, if your sneak is high enough, that you wont be detected at all!
When attacking in rooms with multiple opponents, sneak attack with bows WILL alert others in the room to your presence, sneak attack with blade will NOT.
Related to above, you will get 6x damage with blade, 3x with bow, and 4x with fist, with the critical strike, calculate accordingly.
Acrobatics at level 50 will give you the 'Dodge'ability, much more useful then a shield if you have no block skill. Takes some practice, but it's actually pretty cool. Besides stealth characters are supposed to fight dirty, no?
And above all else, enjoy yourself. Stealth folks take there time, and look for the advantage in a fight. In the words of Jack Sparrow, sorry CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.
"He who runs away, lives to run away again!"
I've sniped groups of bandits and stuff without being noticed.
I've even gone unnoticed in the arena before, the opponent will just sit in the middle until I've shot him/her a second time.
But then I use any Imperial vampire with-custom class based of agent.
Here's my current character, the Bosmer ranger I've been speaking of. He isn't exactly a classical fighter character yet he isn't a thief either. He is a hybrid of sorts. He is excellent with bows and sneaking but he is also skilled with a blade at the same time. He also prefers light armour and has a knack for alchemy (as you said Canis, the Alchemy skill is improved in no time, I'm currently close to Expert Rank). I can tell you for example that, at medium levels of alchemy you will find that you can concoct a Restore Health potion from Fly Amanita and Lavender Sprig, these being common ingredients and easy to find. Damage Health poisons can be made from a multitude of ingredients including Nightshade, Saint Jahn's Wort, Dragon's Tongue, Wisp Stalk caps, Stinkhorn etc.
There are a plethora of ingredients out there just waiting for someone to pick them up and use them. I'd gladly post some pictures of my character but it seems Imageshack is out of order. Does anyone know another free site for image hosting?
Photobucket is free, http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg243/Prothean_Legacy/ while you're at it.
Alright, I've registered. Here's Valanor! (that's my character's name, for those of you not in the know)

I can take more if you enjoyed it.
I like his face, well-made. Was it a lot of work?
One thing I do miss though, are the black eyes. Man, Bosmer rock with those. Is the option of completely black eyes still available?
No, actually it wasn't. I'm glad you like it though. When I make a face I usually modify the starter face in order to get something to my liking. The faces of Bosmer in Oblivion are too stubby for my liking and it makes them look fat if you ask me. Thus, I modified my character's face to make it a little more gaunt, so as to fit in with the body.
And regarding the eyes, no. You don't have any options for black eyes. You can only choose between brown, blue and green eyes when it comes to most races. When it comes to Dunmer or Argonians, you only have one set of eyes which cant's be changed, eyes which are specific for the race.
Ah, well....geez. Looks like I'll have to add something to my wanted mods list.
Here's a couple of more pics of Valanor. This time, with the added benefit of a texture mod that changes the faces of all Oblivion NPCs, player character included. I think that my next character will either be the classic Arthago, which I've always wanted to play effectively in Oblivion. I've made an Arthago character before, but I only got to level 6 with him then gave up on the character. Now however, with the Improved Facial Textures mod, I can make Arthago look just like I imagine him to be. With the horse armour plugin from Bethesda, I can also make him have a stallion fit for a knight. The only thing left to do would be to get a mod that adds a castle from the internet. Then, I can have the ideal knight character. Well, Arthago isn't a regular knight but roleplaying him would be fun as hell. Anyway, the pictures!
Valanor, close to the Imperial City. He is wearing casual clothing for trekking into the wilds.
Valanor, with the Jerall Mountains in the backdrop. Same clothing as above.
@ Agent Griff - Really nice looking character you;ve got there. Which texture mod did you use for him?
I use a ton of mods (mostly clothing and new buildings/places), but have little knowledge of how to use the CS and none yet on using nifskope, blender, or any of the paint programs. The male in those pics IS a vampire, yes. The facial textures are a custom job specifically for that character however, and aren't available for download. The mods I use for Aubret are: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7531, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=50&comment_page=2, and Exnem. I also tweaked her stats a bit in the CS (she is part Daedra) The outfits she's wearing come from: Seductive Dark Seducer Armor (both non-nude and nude available within the mod - read the readme!!), http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13437, Little Lace Dress for Exnems (nude and non-nude stuff in here too, so use caution), and http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14436. As for the male, I know the body is Robert's bulky. Both outfits he's wearing are from http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14481.
The black Bosmer eyes are actually available. If not in the vanilla game (though I thought they were), mods such as cosmetic compilation should have many of the eyes and features you might find fun to play with

As for alchemy and armor, I find alchemy the fastest and easiest to reach a master's level on, with any type of character. Loads of ingredients at the farms, and once you've joined either the mage's or fighter's guild, there's ingredients aplenty. As for armor, on my first time through Oblivion, my favorite armor was a set of chameleon spelled glass armor. all total, the chameleon was around 150%, with no cheating involved in it's making. Boy was I able to wreak some havoc with that armor.
IFT-Improved Facial Textures. All it really does is make the faces much more detailed by increasing the resolution of the textures. That way, old people no longer have those blocky wrinkles. The wrinkles are now much more seamless and realistic. The same goes for younger characters, their faces are no longer that...similar to a doll. It's a great mod. The Orcs look much better with it as well, not just all the other races.
And you seem to have answered Jack's prayers. Bosmer with black eyes. Who would have believed it?
It's not available in Vanilla Oblivion so you'll have to get that mod Jack.
On another note, I've found a pretty interesting which deals entirely with house mods, from castles to floating estates. It's of high quality and I've downloaded some mods from there, which I am thoroughly pleased with. Here's a link:

It's called Oblivion Real Estate.

Business is good for Dath eh? Judging by that suit of Ebony Armour and that Daedric Dai-Katana he's holding gleefully, I suspect than he has a sum upwards of 50 000 drakes in his account. Am I right?
A bit more.. But now I have a blades armor mod so I don't use my ebony armor anymore...

@ Agent Griff - I had wondered exactly what it was that IFT (and other facial texture mods) did Definitely a lot of nice stuff on that real estate site as well Much thanks for the info and the links.
@ Daedroth - Both your characters look like you spent some time in generating them. It is more difficult to take screenshots using a camera, but the more you do it the easier it gets, and the better your screenshots get.

Quick update; My mother has Oblivion installed on her computer now (finally after two years of having it) and I should be able to take screenshots on my character there, what button do you use to take screenshots in Oblivion?
Daedroth - It is the printscreen button found to the right of your F-keys For complete information on how to set up and take screenshots in Oblivion, check through the http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?showtopic=28507.
Chiglet
Yes, I've tried the print screen button but it didn't work.. I guess it was that I didn't enable screenshots. I will post pictures at my character on the PC as soon as I can!
//Daedroth
Okay, so here is my Oblivion Dath:
I swear, It wasn't my fault:
//Daedroth
You did a very nice job on Dath's face, Daedroth. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics from you BTW, if you want to get rid of the menus at the bottom, simply go into the console (the ~ key) type TM and hit ~ again to take you out of the console. Reprat when you are finished with the screenshooting though as you won't be able to get into your inventory while menues are off Though it does give a very interestint and nice background colour, and you can do a double shot of your character.
I'm just barely starting to get my game back in action (hoefully no more error messages) so no new shots from me. Got a few older ones though A bit of fun in the console with resizing

Thanks and sorry for the double post. I haven't tried that command yet but I will do it and I will probably post more pictures soon.
/Daedroth
I like Dath's face. He looks so...calm.Oh, and is that Ebony? Black and gold, I bet it is.
Chiglet, I won't press upon you my opinions of the fairy. (Ok, so I will. Looking nice, but not a mod I'd ever try. The Khajiit looks weird though. Those butterfly wings don't go well with the fur if you ask me. IU love the use of a shovel though.)
I have but two questions.
1: Can you fly with those wings?
2: Is the game still playable if you're that small, or does it cause all kinds of probelems with furniture and stuff?
Hey Jack! Thanks for the fast commentary The Kajiit fairy actually isn't a mod at all, but just some toying i did in the CS and console. I added wings (which unfortunately got rid of the tail), and made the size about 1/2 that of normal. In game, I simply shrunk her to a much smaller size. It's been about 2 months since I've serioulsy done anything with the game so exact commands I'd have to look up again. I might have used a different wing, but as there's no real description other than fairywings1, fairywings2 etc, I just grabbed and stuck 'em on. Had problems with the fur from day 1 on her. In fact, it looks so bad that I tended to keep her fairly well dressed at all times.
In answer to your questions though:
1) The only way to fly with those wings is thorugh use of TCL. So, technically, no flying. There are mods out there that allow fliight, but you have to have OBSE installed (which I don't)
2) The game is still playable at that size, though there are minor probelms with furniture. Chairs are the biggest problem as one's character ends up sitting withing the seat instead of on it. Sort of the opposite effect if one has an overly tall character. Getting up onto things does take a bit of doing as well, but can increase your athletics and such as you constantly have to jump to get places. Including up stairs. And travel time by walking down roads takes a while longer. I mostly play in 1st person perspective, so normally don't see a huge difference in things, just when I switch to 3rd person
Finally got my game back up and running. Though not with any mods yet So, here is my first character in the new game. Testina, an Orc female.

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s170/chigletatcoxdotnet/new%20oblivion%20pics/Testina%20Eine/Testina3A.jpg
I like the last one the most, if the big guy in front gets removed. If the coloured Dath wasn't there, it would look like one heck of a sketch. Pretty and all.
I also see that you've moved on to Daedric. Going by screenshots, the Daedric armour is the only piece of Daedric I'd call an improvement. This isn't a case of 'Morrowind pwnz Oblivion', just a case of 'I really digged that old dagger that looked as if it was born to rip out still beating hearts'.
Oh, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we would love to see Serene with more polygons and stuff.
Chiglet, your Orsimer looks funny. For some reason, I had a good chuckle at seeing her neatly combed hair. It just looks weird when the person herself looks as if she's been hit in the face with a mallet. Ah well, Orsimer are more civilized than many people are willing to believe, so I accept the neat hairdo.
Nice dress but, did she dye her hair? I seem to remember that Morrowind Serene had black hair.
Still, she looks pretty good.
Three questions.
1: Does your mother roleplay Serene? I honestly never imagined Serene as the type who would join the Arena, honestly.
2: What's that sword? (I'm a guy, I love Redguards, which also means I love swords. Enough said. )
3: Why are those dogs following that other woman in the last pic? Are they her pets?
Ah, ok. Thanks a lot.
Anytime I will come up with more pictures at Dath and pictures at other characters later.
//Daedroth
@ Daedroth and Jack - I believe you are right about that sword being a Daedric Claymore. It has a definite Daedric look to it and the claymore is the only 2-handed Daedric weapon in Oblivion (that isn't added through mods) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Weapons is a list of the weapons found in-game along with some info about them. And yes, those dogs are that woman's pets

There are dai-katanas in Oblivion too so claymore isn't the only 2-handed weapon.
//Daedroth
True, but Chiglet actually meant that the only two-handed weapon made of Daedric is of the Claymore-type. The Dai-katana is simple steel if I'm correct. (Well, Akaviri steel. Still steel though)
Back on-topic. While the shape of your character's face looks fine (though somewhat rounder than I remember Dunmer being), I'm a bit disapointed with the utter blueness of it. Is this just a case of having had poor lighting at the time, or is it because of the texture? (I remember hearing that Dunmer in Oblivion look more like Smurf's than Dunmer, so it could be the texture in which case there isn't much you can do about it. It's a bit sad, really.)
Ahh. I saw it now in her post. Sorry.
Well yeah, the Dunmer's skin is a bit sharp in Oblivion. Which I don't like. The count of Cheydinhal for an example, doesn't look like a Dunmer at all. Anyway, the mods on your character (Chiglet) looks nice.
//Daedroth
True, there are dai-katanas in Oblivion. Though they are Akaviri and not Daedric. Which is a real shame as I just loved my Daedric Dai-Katana in Morrowind.
While the normal Dunmer in Oblivion actually are more greyish than blue, Aubret is not full Dunmer. She is of Daedric descent, hence the more blueish colour. (though her face is a bit more blue than the rest of her body - no idea why) It also makes her face a bit more round than normal. She's currently about 1/2 a head taller than normal Dunmer (another Daedric trait - I might make her just a bit taller yet), and her eyes are definitely of Daedric origin as I used the Dremoa eyes for her. What's nice about Oblivion is that you have a lot more control of exactly how your character looks, though I was actually trying to go for a more blueish grey for her. Lighting also does play a part in how the skintones look. Better light, truer colours. I'll probably end up tweaking her a bit more after I get all the patches and such loaded again, though it won't be for face shape, but colouration and hairstyle. Might even see about giving her a set of the small Dremora horns

btw - most of my characters are custom races, some tweaked even further in the CS (great tool), or just tweaked normal races. Great fun to see what one can come up with, though sometimes the results are rather uhm,.... er,.....let's just say they don't always turn out the way we intended them too

Remember, Velas, the traitor must not see you. Use these specially treated bittergreen petals to poison him. In Mephala's dark name.
Ohhhhh......Sethyas! I really love that guy, what a good picture of him...mmmmmm yummy!
Well, after finally downloading a bunch of mods, here is the fruit of my downloading labor,
Sayuri, as you have never seen her. Yes, I know shes a Bosmer in Mephala's Maiden, but thats because I was basing her on a chracter tha t 'looked' asian on x-box. But with this mod I have an Asian add-on race. Very Nice!

Wohoo! My Dazzle DVC 100 Capture Card works! So here's some pictures on my very main character Zackary Aragano (he's on my 360). Some of them are in bad quality but I saved it as a movie and took screenshots in the movie in windows media player.

Ahhh at last! Thank you dear Blackie. Now I agree the original Seth is more handsome, but you can change heads somehow, don't ask me how though...
I use Emma's heads mostly, they are so nice and since Emma lives very close to me (45 min drive) I think it's nice to use her work...
Do you plan to let Seth meet Sayuri?
Are you aware of the danger of letting Rayne and Seth do dangerous things together? There might be problems if some bad guy captures Rayne..ohhhh
Anyway it's so nice to see pics of fanfic charachters,,,,
Seth and Sayuri's stories are parallel, two lines that dont meet.
Rayne and Seth both have a quiet acknowledgment that they might die in the line of duty, they knew the risks when they took the job, and neither will blame the either, plus I dont think that the relationship is that developed yet, they just started out, and its been some rocky events they've been through.
But yeah, you saw what she did to Sethyas for embarking to ebonheart.
Thank you Blackie! I thought this thread was dead. Your characters seem nice.
Blackie my dear! Do not even think of letting Sethyas die!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/minque/Serene%20of%20Cyrodiil%20kap%203/ScreenShot145.jpg
Oh Daedroth! Blackie's guys are awesome, I recommend you to read his stories!
How can Sethyas die, if hes the one who's writing the journals? There is a Volume Three coming up as well.
And now, for my screenshot craze coup de grace!! Sethyas Velas, as you have never seen him before, as I percieve him in my minds eye, brought to life by the amazing hard work of all those talented modders out there. I love you all!
Now, the scene from Chapter Five Volume One, when Sethyas payed a little visit to the Balmora Council Club...

Okay, after playing around with some mods toaday, I have decided to move Sethyas into the wonderful world of modding, and adopt a new face. Here are some shots, I think you'll like them.

And another thanks to Korana and freinds for the Clothiers of Vvardenfell Mod, that made the clothing possible.

Westly's headpack made my characters come to life.
@ Black Hand - Those of some fantastic scneenies. Makes me wan to go back into Morrowind and play again myself.
@ Daedroth - Any close-ups of your character?
I've mostly just been playing with the game, but did take a few screens. First 2 are a little skimpy, but I did make sure that nothing "important" was showing.

What a fantastic view there Chig. I noticed that your character was laying down. Is that some kind of mod? Looks awesome. No pictures of Dath coming up. My mother's computer is infected by trojans (virus) so I can't play Oblivion on the computer. But pictures are coming up on Zackary Aragano (on the 360). I have a capture card so the qualtity is better than if you take pictures of the screen.
By the way I'm happy that you're back here.
Thanks minque and Daedroth! The first 2 pics were taken at Topal Bay, though I don't remember what time of day it was. I don't use any weather mods at all so that;s just the natural lighting (along iwth a bit of good luck). Outfits are from http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13437, http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17830, and http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15443. Her sword is from http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8613. I don't remember precisely which mod her horns came from. It's either http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=50&comment_page=2, http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14528, or Grigori Deathwatch (no links currently available) . I kind of stuck all three on at about the ame time.
As for being sweet,.... Aubret is at least 1/2 Daedra and just got finished dragging poor Erthor through the Kvatch Oblivion gate, into the battle for Kvatch, and into numerous caves & dungeons infested with necromancers and undead. He didn't like her very much when she finally got around to bringing him back to Skingrad.
Her poses are from http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16457. It contains about 112 poses. I;m still trying to figure out how to use a few of them as they tend to turn one;s character in unexpected directions.
Trojans?? Ugh! I hate viruses! don't those people have better things to do? Or are their lives really that lame? Least you;ve still got the 360 and capture card though Looking forward to those pics.
Two shots after the Siege of Kvatch and yes, Aubret dragged Martin through that as well.
I love making characters to such an extent I don't have time to play them. I usually play level 1 to 5 characters with low difficulty
Rimer and Malexa. I made the re-texture on the coat. It fits together with the dress quite nicely.
I have a thing for Eno Hlaalu
Nice pictures both of you! Man, I wish that my PC could run Oblivion (My mother's crashed). Well anyway, the 360 version is fine. Here's some new pictures at Zackary. Keep in mind that I used a capture card to record a video from oblivion and then took screenshots of it in windows media player. That's why the quality is a bit worse than the PC screenshots. The videos are in better quality than PC videos recorded with FRAPS. Anyway, here they are:
woohoo?
A muscle man! And here I come with the direct opposite.
I removed body hair and muscles with Gimp That sort of masculinity doesn't fit my pretty elf. He would never pierce his nipple, though.
Gorgeous pics Octavia! Love the clarity of them and your characters look fantastic. Maybe that 'piercing" is a clip-on?
Daedroth - Well do I know the trials of taking pictures off the tv screen. Thank the Nine for capture cards now, huh? Zackary definitely looks like he'd hold his own in battle.

OMG to the last post.
Amazing picture there Octavia.
And Chiglet, those pictures were awesome too. I really liked the the picture when the character read for the people.
Arnaq is too pretty for those commoners!
Really beautiful. Especially while hugging the heart
Ok I'm pretty tired of hooking up my capture card to take screenshots so I might take pictures of the screen because my TV is an LCD so the quality should be acceptable. But I've been playing morrowind for the last week and I FINALLY BEAT IT! WOHO! Death to Dagoth Ur! Anyway, so I'll upload some pictures from Morrowind of my Morrowind Dath (as I showed way back in this thread).
Nice Pics you have there! What do you think of Morrowind, now that youve have to do all that tedious reading?
It was fun. But I prefer Oblivion.
I'm currently working on an Oblivion video which will come out in August because I'm too lazy to work hard right now. Anyway, so I had to test an see if my capture card works good by doing a test video. And I took out 3 screenshots from the http://youtube.com/watch?v=NEeKhv-6VQI.
Here they are:
Heres a littel before and after with soem retexturring mods Ive been playing around with. If you havent gotten Westly Corean Hair Pack yet, do yourself a favor and get it, it makes the hair look as good as from Oblivion.
Thats before the retextures, both sides. Also featuring Suran Archery Tradehouse quiver, Weapon Sheaths Ultimate, and MVP Morrowind Visual Pack, also the facepack and hair pack presented by Westly.
And here we see a newer sharper looking assassin. Wheres the hood at? Well, the bow takes up the shirt slot, as does the hood. Besides with hair that good looking, do you really want that Garb on?
Ahhhh *deep sigh* He's awesome....pretty damn awesome....
Thanks for the bit about the hair. I never really imagined that Morrowind could look this good. And this was from playing it on X-Box for like 2-3 years. I dont think I have an original texture from Beth left! Thats the honest truth. I use Darknuts Textures for weapons, armor, and creatures, and the dwemer ruins. I use the MVP, Visages of Vvardenfell, (better then 'Better heads' IMO) and most of Westlys stuff, it really is amazing the stuff he's come out with.
Like I said, not a texture by Bethesda left!
Ahh thanks for telling! You see when I get Pocahontas back, I'll sure as h*** install MW again and revamp Serene to be the most gorgeous creature you (or Seth) have ever seen...
Oh...Pocahontas is my laptop...hehe
Been off doing RL stuff for a bit. Those pics by BlackHand make me wonder if I ought to see about putting MW on the system as well. I had a lot of fun with that game. Though the main quest was dreadfully easy to get thorugh. Just did the vanilla version as I didnh't know about mods at that time.
Daedroth - Those pics look very nice.
And now, my new toy Bing
His hair was supposed to be dark magenta (and actually was in the face-gen

Nice pics, both of you. Now I'm going to upload som pics of my new character Indary - a bosmer female. They're extremely hard to make beautiful, but I think mine was good looking. Well, here are the pics:
They found a different sort of axe Sorry for the huge images.
Indary looks adorably gorgeous. And if she was done on a platform, then you;ve definitely got a way with the face-gen
No prob on the image size I've taken to shrinking all my images down to 90% of their original size lately. Works pretty well. That mod is always cool to see screenies of Tamriel needs more instruments
Does my butt look big in this?
And where would you like this massively heavy invisible box?
So there I was, there I was, In the Congo...
You sure my butt doesn't look big?
Haha! That dance was hilarious. The dremora was like "what the heck?". Yes, Indary was created on the 360, it took about 10 minutes to create her. Thank you.
Last ones of Bing for now. Got some other characters that want to see the light of day.
Where'd that mouse go!?
And then I climbed the ladder ...
Must be a good book

Nice pictures. BTW, can you choose how big your screenshots are going to be. As you can see, the PC screenshots I have from Oblivion in page 5 - 6 in this thread are too small (in my opinion). For the moment it won't matter because I can't play it on the PC but later, when the computer is fixed.
Yeah,. I've got my shots shrunk to 90% of their original size. May need to shrink them down further though. I post shots on another forum as well that automatically shinks pics to at least 1/2 their size and people just click the image to bring up the full size image. Don't know how it;s done though so don't now the feasability of doing it here. And most here shrink thier pics down a goodly amount anyways. I just need to figure out just how much more I need to shrink mine. lol I think part of my problem is that on the preview screen the pics fit just fine. I'll try 80% on my next posting.
Hope that computer is fixed soon Dagoth!
Shiva
Hahaha, you called me Dagoth like Dagoth Ur? Ok thanks, I hope the computer's fixed soon . Anyway, here's some pictures at Zackary and Indary.
Zackary pictures:

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/andreas123456789/ind2.png
I made the pics smaller so it would be sharper quality.
I almost forgot, your picture was cool. The wing mod looks amazing. Once your character is laying down, is that a mod?
That lil' bosmer is one of the cutest I've ever seen!
And Chig! You are so talented, your lying-down red-haired Shiva looks amazing!
Ohh, amazing pics there! If having more than one characters at the same time is a mod, it's a must have. By the way, I wrote this post on my cell phone.
Yep, having more than one character at the same time is definitely a mod. CMPartners to be exact. Nice thing is that it also allows you to create your own companions in the CS.
Just a few more of my Xivilai, Bing

I'm thinking of boosting my computer to a better video card (My video cards sucks! Only 64 mb video ram, so that's why it's laggy as heck) with 256 mb video ram so I can play oblivion pn MY computer. Wooho!
Really nice pics there. How do you make links with pics like that by the way? Here's something I did with Zackary a week ago. I was running around with a shocking spell and killing guards, then two guards were running straight to me. I was trying to hit the guard who was closer but I missed him, but I DID hit the guard behind him
I was too lazy to hook up the capture card...
Sorry for double post but I HAVE to post this. I have Serene on Morrowind on my computer too so I took one of the pics of Serene I have and added some hair. My mother knows this and has allowed me to post it.
Update: When this thread have reached 200 posts, should I start a "Screenshots of your beloved characters II" ?
For those of you who are interested (all three of you) here are two amazingly similar pictures of my character Grignr Star-Mane:
Nice pics there! I like the flaming sword. If your planning to get daedric in morrowind which it looks like don't get the helmet because than you can't see the face I never ever wear helmets on Dath or Zazkary ( Ok Zackary wear hoods sometimes but only for enchantments).
Ohhh BBQ! He's nice....good looking, 'yummy....I'm very fond of handsome charachters...
@ Daedroth - Just make sure all your other specs match up to at least the minimum requiresments as well I've no reccolection of what mine are. Got the system 3 months before Oblivin was released so I knew it would be ok for it.
Do you mean the thumbnails? it's easy actually. If you do a quoted reply on any of my posts, you'll be able to see what was done. written out longhand, it's...
square bracket url= web addie for pic close bracket bracket img close bracket
web addie for pic with th_ put in right at the beginning of the pic's name bracket /img close bracket bracket /url close bracket
Which sounds really complicated when you first look at it! If I did it on your guard picture you would have...

Isn't the targeting system in Oblivion wonderful? Especially for spells.
Serene looks good whether male or female.
@ bbqplatypus - Grignr Star-Mane looks good Looks like you;ve got the Oreyn Bearclaw helmet now?

Whoah! I didn't understand a word. Anyway, Iv'e been on a holiday in germany for 2 weeks. I really liked those pics . I have a LOT to show.
Now I've decided to show Zackary in a different way. http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/andreas123456789/?action=view¤t=chorrolcom.flv to find out how.
Now over to Morrowind and Dath.

A hot bad? No kidding. Seriously, don't forget the cooled drinks.
I've only got one to show right now.
I'm a tourist. No really, just a tourist. Stop looking at me. That's not a sword, it's a replica. A souvenir. No, I'm not lying.
No, that's not Wraithguard. It's a replica, a souvenir. No, that's not some ancient artefact I'm wearing. No, those Indoril boots were not taken from a corpse lying at Kogoruhn. I've never even heard of that place. Wait, you didn't mention Kogoruhn? Eh...oops
LOOK, I'M A TOURIST, OK?! SO STOP STARING AT ME AS IF I'M SOME SORT OF HERETIC!
Great. Are the graphics glitches gone now?
For the most part, yes. Except that sometimes (rarely, fortunately), I get some really weird stuff going on. Namely, the menus (including the all important safe game menu), gets hidden behind the landscape! No seriously, I need to look up to see the menu and if I look down, it vanishes behind nearby hills. If I'm inside, I'm fricking menuless.
That said, it hasn't occured yet since my installation of Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Speaking of which, I also started a game with Ro-El, but he's not ready yet. (Got brutally slaughtered by the first wolf he encountered. Hand-to-Hand is absolutely the weakest skill to major in. At the beginning, at least.)
And off-topic. Either the Wraithguard-Chrysamere is the most overpowered combo ever, Luper is just that plain awesome or the Dark Brotherhood are absolute wimps. I went in, no stealth or anything, and wiped them all out, often one-shotting them with Chrysamere. Seriously, I took more damage fighting against two Skeletal Champions and a Bonelord five minutes earlier! The only guy who put up somewhat of a fight was the boss, and only because he took about 8 hits. I hope Tribunal ramps up in difficulty soon or else this is going to be really boring.
I think it's the lack of mages. Against physical attacks, Luper is a castle. But he's also an apprentice and gets seriously burned by the relatively weak Flame Atronach.
Ahh, that's great. I do want to give you the advice to boost the computer a little so that you can play morrowind bug free and even oblivion. But hey, my computer can't handle oblivion either (by either I mean if your can't, I don't know how powerful your computer is). The reason I wont boost mine is because you can't on a laptop which I'm using.
Whoah! Really sorry for the off topic there.
Note: I made my avatar more shiny
This is not a character.. just something I'd like to share. This is some kind of balmora mod I found on youtube made by Vality (vality7 on youtube). The mod itself is on planeteldercrolls.com.

Nice!
When I get Pocahontas back....Download-a-lot-of-awesome-mods-time!
Pocahontas, is that the name of your laptop?
Anyway, I know what you mean by awesome mods. When you no longer need to worry about not having Tribunal.esm and Bloodmoon.esm, some totally brilliant ones are opened up for you. One of those mods is a dungeon mod I downloaded at...Tesnexus, I think. I don't remember the name but what it does is alter Odrasal, Velmyan and Dagoth Ur into bigger, harder, better versions. Well, mostly better. I didn't like the damn teleporter puzzle in Dagoth Ur, Velmyan's lifts never seemed to work (forcing me to follow the shaft with tcl) and Odrasal had some mean moves. (Mean is in:"Hey look, a door! Why won't you press it, huh? So you did? Good, enjoy your half a second fall into a pit of instant-kill lava!")
The best part is right at the end, definitely. The boss-fight that was a bit of a dissapointment in vanilla is now harder than hell (both stages) and much more expansive. The areas they're fought in are different as well. So umm, how about some pictures detailing Luper's final battle under Red Mountain? (Warning, there will be spoilers)
It looks like Dagoth Ur kept a three-dimensional map of Vvardenfell in his room. That can't be a good sign.
A view of the map for the interested.
Instead of fighting himself, Dagoth Ur prefers to send out astral projections of himself. This is the first one, but I'm pretty sure I got close to slaying ten of them. And all are more powerful than an Ash vampire.
Given that the bosses are so ridiculously powerful now, I felt no shame when I jumped over the fence and bypassed the whole spiralling walkway. I was planning to just run up to the heart and whack it before Dagoth Ur had a chance to figure out what was going on. Hey, it worked in Vanilla Morrowind. It would work again. Besides, what's more badass then leaping up higher than a building and then landing on a thin, rickety bridge far below the ledge you started from?
A barrier. Crap.
I found the real Dagoth Ur hiding in a crypt. We fought for a bit, but I was only getting my behind kicked to the moon, so I ran.
After managing to off all the astral projections while being chased by the real deal, the barrier finally vanished and I could go all stabbity-stab-stab on the heart.
After that, the mod goes so far as to turn the final escape into something very cinematic and very lethal. I don't have any pictures of that, though. I was too busy running for my life.
Yup, Pocahontas is my lappy. Unfortunately there is some pixel-death on the screen so they have ordered a new one, will cost me about 250Euro! blaaaaa, but I just have to get her back, sound and safe!
There aint no MW designed for Mac!
Awesome pics Mr Cloudy! That mod looks interesting, definitely a must-have!
Doesn't sound like a mod for me but the pics look nice.
Personally I think the difficulty is a bit too high. By the time you're powerful enough to deal with it without quicksaving and dying every half a minute, you can probably breeze through both expansions without ever stopping to buy new supplies.
Something else now. I've trained up Ro-El a little and he is now one mean bugger with the fists. I've got one pick of him, one where he is practicing his specific martial art style that involves fingertip-strikes. After a long time on a boat, the best way to get used to the land again is by doing stuff like that, preferably on an uneven surface, like some stairs.
That said, Ro-El is somewhat different from his fanfic counterpart. For one, he totally sucks with longswords and he doesn't have Forgeheart. Also, he's a Bosmer, not an exceptionally short Nord. I think this works best though. After the events of Agent, Ro-El was given pointed ears and a beard. He's only got a stubble ingame, but he looks pretty close to how I envisioned him.
And the clothes are from a mod. So-fi's something or other. They're kungfu clothes so yeah, I think they fit well.
I can't wait till I get my 360 back from repair so I can play more Oblivion.
Those clothes suits him well. Good work.
LOOOOOL now some minutes later I get it back haha.

Dead forum
Not dead yet, just really laid back at the moment Things'll pick back up around here sooner or later. I've been mega busy with work as it;s the start of the Fall semester now. Did get in a bit of play-time and picture taking though. Now I just need to peruse others sceenshots I do see some really nice ones just glancing through for now.
pics taken on my laptop. Vanilla Oblivion still, haven't downloaded any mods to the system yet. Things still look really washed out on it though and I'm really not sure what to do about it.

About time someone posted. The pictures look nice but I'll have to watch them later because right now I'm at some playground using my cellphone to browse internet and to be honest, the resolution isn't the greatest on a phone.
Not a single post since 3rd of September? Well I'm still gonna post. And I've finally installed mods.
Dath has murdered..

Jack Cloudy, could you tell me or PM me the source mod of that 3D map of Vvardenfell? That is too cool for Khuul! I really have a mod that I could use that in, if you don't mind.
Thanks Minque. Let me know if you see anything you want; most of my characters are downloadable.
