Some lousy drawing I did of a dark-elf-dude several months ago. It's nothing more than a very simple sketch done in painterClassic and openCanvas - I love those programs!
I already thought about doing a digital painting in Photoshop with this sketch as a reference but school is currently too time-consuming...

Yeah really, that looks so good. Great job :goodjob:
its not crappy. its a good sketch. how long did it take?
including the coloring probably around 10 to 15 minutes...
including the coloring probably around 10 to 15 minutes...
only that long then its pretty damn good. it would take me forever to do that with the coloring
i wonder what it would be like if you spent more time on it?
Thats very nice. If thats 'crappy' i'd love to see what you call 'good'.
I like the Dunmer mohawk. One of my favorite Dunmer hairstyles. :goodjob:
I like the proportions in regards to the upper- face (eyes, eyebrwos, that whole horizontal line looks right) and the shoulders.
right now I'm working on a version completely done in Photoshop, maybe I'll get to finish it tomorrow

I'm using version 7.0, too. I don't know what Photoshop CS2 is like because always buying a new version is simply too expensive
some advices if you want to start digital painting on the computer:
- Buy a pen tablet! It doesn't need too be the most expensive type of tablet at first (the one I have now is about medium-priced: Graphire3)
Don't try to paint things with the mouse, that's much too difficult
- read through a lot of tutorials for digital painting, there are some pretty good sites out there which offer a lot of help
- don't only focus on working on the computer and keep on practicing drawing with pencils.
- look at what other people do
- and don't give up!
I can not really say much about how I actually color things because finding your own style is a very important part of the process of practicing
it's finished:

Whoaaa...the hair is awesome and the whole thing is..but..but...the hair!!! :goodjob:
That thing is freakin' cool!

I agree.
Damn thats nice.. :goodjob: I'll see if I have any money left after building my Oblivion Computer around September - Maybe I'll buy a pencil tablet, how much would u say a avarage one costs?
I'd say around 100 euro/$ - eller omtrent 815 norske kroner, kanskje litt mer, er ikke helt sikkert
just noticed you're from norway, that's pretty cool because I'm half norwegian, too! Do you happen to know Fredrikstad or Hankø? That's where we usually spend our summer vacation
Yeah I know of those cities..
But I'm not sure where to look thought, but I guess I can find some in computer shops if not just ship 'em in from England or something...
