Chorrol.com _ Fan Art _ Not done but...

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jun 10 2006, 04:48 AM

It's been a while since I posted any fan art work.

I have something wonderful and incomplete to show you all.

It's taken from a scene in my fan fiction, Destrudo, which I am much to scared to even link.

Enough of the blather:

I hope the waistcoat looks velvety enough.

Behind you-know-who is my roleplaying character, Walter. This pic has a long backstory. Whooie.

As I finish this up, I'll keep y'all updated.

...I said "y'all"...

Posted by: Fethenwen Jun 10 2006, 11:11 AM

Hey, that could be neat. I wont say more, because one should NEVER give critic to an unfinnished work smile.gif
That jacket sure looks velvety enough, nice work :thumbs up:

*hugs Zarr and sends her some warm coffee* Hullo there ! I can see that you've finishing poor ol' Sheo... slieves and just about entire shirt look great. just be careful with the face and the hair - that's the tricky part.

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jun 10 2006, 06:44 PM

No.

The hair and metallic parts are the hard part.

Metal is such a witch with a b to do in GIMP.

I'll make the transition to his skin and facial hair more natural. Don't worry. I couldn't be a***d to do it today. I just wanted to drop it after 9 hours of laboring.

Edit: Sorry about double post. kvleft.gif

That's coming together really nicely. Well done Zarr.

Thanks.

Haven't worked on it too recently. I've been busy with my fan fic.

Great job on the belt, the belt buckle (awesome, looks quite realistic) and the knife's blade... the belt buckle owns entire picture. It's possibly the greatest detail (right after that shading on the sleeve) in entire picture.
I feel humbled. And also, much less tempted to do similar work now, after seeing this... -_-

Posted by: DarkHunter Jun 24 2006, 04:42 PM

Great drawing... You kill me anyday goodjob.gif

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jun 26 2006, 04:22 AM

The knife is crap.

It's not right. I'll have to fix it sometime.

Right now my creativity is just "...".

Wow! I really love the dark shades you put in there. It's creepy, but in a cool, amazing -looking way.

Posted by: treydog Jul 7 2006, 02:30 AM

That is some excellent work. I love the atmosphere and detail you managed to work into the picture- great textures and shadows.

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jul 7 2006, 02:33 AM

Thanks. smile.gif

As you can see, I've been working on it for a while.

I had to use a reference for the knife. I still didn't get it right, and probably won't no matter how many attempts I make. The knife makes me so sad. Compared to the gold belt, it's just sad.gif.

YAY!

Looks really nice, Zarr!

Posted by: minque Jul 7 2006, 07:15 PM

Woah! Really awesome Zarr!!!! You indeed are talented! I also like the dark shadows and the creepiness...more please?

Posted by: Ze Milanio Jul 7 2006, 11:44 PM

Again, I am left lacking proper words. I'll only say that, no matter how Zarrexaij self-criticises her own work, this comes close to perfect. The 3D aspect of the picture is almost feelable, as if one can touch it; shading is something I couldn't do even if I had all the time in the world to learn -_- and the atmosphere of the picture is so overfilled with anxiety that can suffocate you if you stare at it for too long (poor PWNED Sheo...). I am humbled. Please, throw away all my swords, silly axes and other nasty instruments of destruction, and give praise to the One who really deserves it.

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jul 7 2006, 11:47 PM

You are too kind, Mil tongue.gif

I'll be doing more, I promise.

You just might not see something for a while. I go back to school in August and will be mucho busy.

I plan on doing a GIMP drawing of Walter soon... with his face showing! wink.gif

You can see Walter's lower half in that art piece. Yes, the dude in the blue robe. He's an Imperial/Breton scholar who's a bit... well... anti-social. biggrin.gif

woaw....geez, thats a spooky one....Loved it of course, especially the shadowlke sking, and the looks in his eyes....make more psychotic killer pictures tongue.gif

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jul 15 2006, 11:13 PM

I'll do more, as soon as I get finished with my monster of a fan fiction. wink.gif

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Jul 16 2006, 01:23 AM

When should we start expecting this fan fiction? Is it going to be revealed after completion or in parts, like a work in progress?

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jul 16 2006, 01:53 AM

I'm afraid that my fan fiction might be pushing it with a few mature subjects.

I doubt I would be appreciated even if I linked the sucker, which is as fanfiction.net.

It's a chapter away from completion.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Jul 16 2006, 09:19 PM

Would your pen name in this forum be the same as that website's? That would make my search easier, please and thank you.

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jul 17 2006, 02:56 AM

Yuis, it's the same pen name in this forum as on the website.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Jul 17 2006, 03:08 AM

Cool, I'll make sure to check it out sometime then. Can't wait to find out about what these "mature subjects" are about. Guess it's a good thing I'm not too squimish. tongue.gif

I completed Destrudo today. </endofftopicness>

I'll begin on a Clive Barker/Silent Hill inspired drawing tomorrow. It'll be with GIMP. Expect it to be in a different style than the ol' pic of Sheogorath and Walter.

[Nordicvoice]I'm ready for anything ![/Nordicvoice] biggrin.gif and if it's anything near that previous masterpiece, I'll start clapping my hands in advance.

is that...whats his face....sheogorath?

Posted by: Zarrexaij Jun 8 2007, 02:15 AM

Thread Necromancy Caster Level 9!

Sorry folks, it's Sheogorath AGIN. tongue.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/Draconican/Artz/5f54b8e9.jpg

I suck at wet things. No way around it.

Been drinking of doing my Silent Hill fanfic character in GIMP. Something not Sheogorath for once. tongue.gif

Posted by: minque Jun 8 2007, 10:40 AM

Woah! Nice one Zarr! Glad to see you back btw!

Posted by: MerGirl Sep 15 2007, 02:06 AM

Oh, wow! The shading is really, really good!

You said you used GIMP for this? It looks almost 3-D---it looks really suspenseful and creepy. It's really nice! goodjob.gif

Posted by: Ibis Sep 20 2007, 06:36 AM

Very creepy .. and yet so sagely true.
