I think the dance party at the Faregyl Inn was my favorite! I thought Alix was going to clear off that table, the way his sword was waving around!! And Maxical seems to lose her shirt even more than Jerric!!

@ King Coin - ROFL !! I almost cut that scene, but he was the first person who danced, lol. The mod comes with something called a collar and has medallions. There is absolutely no explanation for what the collar does anywhere. The "Read Me" said the medallions take the place of an amulet, so I took her shirt off to see if an amulet would appear. It didn't. Then I put on the collar to see, and nothing happened then either. Not sure what the deal is with the collar, I am going to comment the mod and ask the guy who made it, lol.

So I started playing the lute and the Three Brothers wouldn't dance. Then I couldn't get the lute to stop. It wouldn't let me put on a cuirass, change armor or drop the lute - it said "You cannot change weapons when attacking" if I tried to put a cuirass on or get rid of the lute.

Anyway, then I walked out of the store where you get the medalions (Three Brothers) and into Red Diamond Jeweler because it is supposed to have more medallions in there. When I walked in, Hamlof started dancing so I hit "Record" right away.

Thank you so much for teaching me how to make vids, KC !!! I had a ball making these !!! You ROCK !!

The "Read Me" says you can talk to them and they will start dancing too, but I thought it was funnier (and more realistic) to have one grouch in the midst of a bunch of partiers, lol. I had trouble getting the land below because it fogged up and wouldn't clear. That one pic I got showing Cyrodiil below is the clearest shot I was able to get.

That is exactly how it felt going through there! Seeing everything exactly as it was left in the ruins - but when it was still fresh and beautiful. I loved the feel of the place.

It is not going to be Maxical's home, but she will have to go there in her story to find Dagoth-Malan. I installed it to be his quarters.

The 2nd through 6th screens from the beginning are not the Ayleid ruin, but a new hotel suite for Fathis to use when he is in the Imperial City.

Thank you, Acadian !!! These are the screens of the Zombie Rona Hassildor and then my new mod Vilja !!!! WOO HOO !!! I love having her in my game !!!


Rona Hassildor was "accidentally" killed in my game while I was making my mod in her "Chamber of the Lost." After over a year of playing with that mod installed I had to take my PC to the Geek Squad for repairs, then reload the game from the disk when I got it back. I reloaded my mod and game saves from a "Passport" storage unit.

Last week I entered the chamber for the first time since the re-load - and freaked out totally when I saw someone laying in the bed next to mine! Rona Hassildor had returned from the dead - but not quite. She has NO FACE! NO HAIR! And glowing red eyes! (I removed a vampire mod that changed their eyes to glowing red, maybe I missed something?)

And here are several screens of Vilja glaring at Maxical - boy does she have a temper! And since I installed her, now Eyja has the option to follow/wait - and has developed the same temper! They both glare at Maxical whenever she goes to the Skingrad house. I took Maxical shopping last night, she loaded up on strawberries, expensive wine, and sweetrolls to try and appease the two of them! GAAAH !!! Vilja did smile at her and talk sweet after a bottle of wine, Eyja has remained hateful.

@ Grits - I agree with you, that dress just adds to her creepiness! I was so freaked out by that Zombie Rona being in there that I can't make myself go back...yet. King Coin gave me a great way for her to possibly have another ... "accident."

Vilja is starting to be much friendlier, but somehow her mod turned Eyja the Skingrad maid into a follower too - and Eyja got Vilja's temper immediately. She balls her fists up or folds her arms on sight, lol. Vilja may be warming up to Maxical, but Eyja is not, lol.

Rona: Oh, you aren't kidding !!! If she even moved on that bed Maxical would leap clean through the rock wall to get out, and I would be found dead of a heart attack in front of my PC, ROFL !!!

Vilja is getting nicer most of the time. Her personality toward Maxical actually made it to the 90's for a few minutes before Maxical ticked her off again, lol. It went down to the 70's after she got mad again - but it is better than the 30's that it used to be!

@ Acadian - This is no lie, I literally screamed when I saw her! She is really giving me (and Maxical) the creeps with that bottom of her face missing !!! URG !!!

Vilja gets sweeter to Maxical every time we play. She almost didn't get mad at Maxical more than once when I played tonight. And she doesn't get as mad anymore either. However, Eyja has gotten worse ... much worse. I can't figure out what her issue is, because I gave her a red velvet dress and a makeover !!!

I am in awe of King Coin's video's so much more since I tried to make some myself - I can barely keep up with filming Maxical standing still, but somehow he manages to capture action and tell a story with his vids!

Anyway, here is another vid of Maxical just standing there like a dummy - BUT she is TALKING !!!! All thanks to King Coin, who made this mod to give BruceVayne's Sound Sets a huge boost. Maxical has around 35 phrases on command, I couldn't remember where they all were so you will find a few repeating, lol. Thanks for watching !!

The voice of Annah is perfect for Maxical, and for making vids, you certainly can't top what KC did as far as rendering the ability to have your character say a phrase upon request. Fabulous!

The screenies are wonderful as well. Maxical and Vilja look lovely as ever and what a treat to see one of my fave NPCs: ALIX THE MOUSE!!! WooHoo!

Great work by KC on adapting the voices to on command and congrats to you, mALX for getting it working so well for Maxical!

I did a little better on this next vid - trying out another voice mod that gives her the random speech that you and KC enjoy with the Sound Sets - the ones that DON'T work for some reason when I try to install them, lol.

Maxical’s little humming tune is stuck in my head now!! It was pretty funny when she climbed in with Vilja, announcing that she’d learned some new tricks. Lucky Nord! It seemed that Alix the Mouse couldn’t keep his eyes off of her… Fun video, mALX!

@ Grits - Thank you so much Grits !!! The humming was one of those sample files they tell you to delete (like the pictures that come in wallets) - I just couldn't dump it, fell in love with it the second I heard it !!

The sound came for waiting. Every time you ask a follower to wait they either complain or act too obsequies, (I really prefer the complaining) - that is how all the player sound files were too. All these sound files were in a different language (Asian) - so I was just dumping them after a quick listen. When I came to the waiting and heard this I went nuts over it !! As it turned out, I kept half the files that came in the mod.

When Maxical sings or exhales loudly (and some combat sounds that weren't in the vid) - those are the little Asian girl's voice, but you really can't tell it doesn't belong with Anna Torment's voice - it just fits right in with it !! I would give anything to know who the little girl is that did that singing, just to tell her how much I loved that singing. I laugh every time I hear it, lol.

And now ... TADA !!! My very first mod ever, "Alix the Mouse!"

As everyone knows, I am as dumb as a brick when it comes to computers, lol. So this was HUGE for me.

Alix is made from the great NIF files of "Wasabi the mouse," and some scripts from the mod "Fufu Rabbit."

Alix is supposed to follow Maxical, he has all his own sound files (hand selected from months of scratching through thousands of shrieking mouse sounds), he is supposed to love sweetrolls and follow Maxical if she has any on her - and if any sweetrolls are just laying around he is supposed to seek them out. When asked to wait he is supposed to make a cursing sounding squeal, and when the player returns and tells him to follow again he is supposed to make a, "It's about time!" sounding squeal.

Alix is not geared to pick a fight, but is supposed to defend himself and Maxical. If provoked, he can take down a Deadroth if necessary, his combat package is pretty hefty.

Well, so far all he is doing is following Maxical, and I can't tell if it is because she happens to have sweetrolls on her (because Vilja also demands them).

The dead rat you see was one I tossed into Skingrad to see if Alix would kill it - he did !! So far so good...and that is where the good news ends, lol.

I had to cut the scene where he stood by and watched as a highwayman nearly cudgeled Maxical to death ... I guess I need to up his agression level some, lol.

I didn't get to hear him make any of his special sounds yet either - which he should have been doing. His summon ring is also supposed to make a "conjure" sound - it didn't, nor did it summon Alix. I had to go find Alix, thank goodness I stuck him right outside Maxical's house in Skingrad, lol.

Somehow in placing Alix in Skingrad I may have ... inadvertantly pushed around something I shouldn't, because now when I close this mod out on the construction set it is giving "Furniture reference warnings" - which it wasn't doing till I stuck Alix down in Skingrad. So I did it - just not sure what I did.

Then there is Maxical's tail. For some odd reason Maxical's tail broke at the end of this vid - could it have to do with the furniture reference? I don't know, but I need to figure out what these issues are or start making Alix from scratch and delete this .esp file. - At least I have all the steps down pat now, lol.

So anyway, still some tweaks need to be made. KC made the great suggestion (which I plan to do) to remove the sweetroll package and get the "follow package" working properly before trying to add the sweetrolls - I think he is right that the conflict may be over having two follow packages.

Anyway, Alix is here and following (if nothing else, lol) - and it is the first real mod I ever made !!!

PS: The end of the vid shows both Alix and Wasabi together (proving I didn't just rename Wasabi). Note Alix's size compared to Wasabi's !!!

For the spell to summon Alix, here's what I would do for the script to start:

Alix's EdID (Editor ID) is found by opening his reference data box in the CS (double-click on him in the render window) I would suggest setting it to AlixMouseREF or something similar, so it's easy to remember.

Compile this script as a Spell Effect script, and attach it to a custom spell set to use the Creature Summon visual effect.

Yay, congratulations!!

Oh, I love his happy mouse noise! Why does Wasabi think Maxical is a cruel master? At the end it looks like Alix the Mouse has his own smaller pet mouse. Maxical’s house looks so peaceful and friendly with Vilja asleep, the crackling fire, and the mice making their soft little squeaks. I imagine it gets quite lively when they’re all walking around. If Maxical whips out a sweetroll and tosses it between Vilja and Alix, there could be a fight!!

Maxical’s voice suits her so well, and now Alix is following her. I love seeing your story come to life!

Thank you so much for this TK !!! I def need any script help I can get !! I had his summon supposed to happen when a ring is equipped - I did find out the problem of why THAT wasn't working, I had never added the script for the summon to the ring itself, only to the "Scripts" function.

Last night I cleaned my mod with TES4Edit. Then I went completely over it - checking every single thing - that's how I found the issue with not being able to summon him.

Cleaning the mod I found two things I had altered in Skingrad - fixed those. Some advice I found on the WIKI said to rename your mod the same name and it would re-set any new changes made - did that. (and then had to re-reload all the sound files a THIRD time. ..grrr. Not sure why they keep vanishing from his file.

Went to the game and tested my aggression tweaks to see if he would defend Maxical - yeah he did !!! Er ... well - something else wrong now. A mud crab knocked him unconscious and tossed him 30 feet out to sea with one hit !!! HAVOC !!! Now what is causing that?

He has a 20% reflect damage shield, 35 strength and endurance, combat level 15 - how can a mud crab take him out? I have the check box checked to offset player and Maxical is level one, would his base form take that over his combat level stat?

And what is causing the havoc? Could it be because of his altered size or the fact that I took the 3 pound weight off his feet? I may need to try putting the weight back on his feet.

I have been up two days and nights straight in a row fiddling with this mod - I keep hoping I can get it working right before I lay down to rest, lol.

I hate to say this, but with all these mod difficulties I'm kind of glad that Vilja has taken to sleeping a lot - I couldn't handle her forcefullness after being up two days and nights fiddling with this mod !!!

ROFL !!! - You are right about a fight between Vilja and Alix for the sweetrolls - not sure how big that will go over either, but if she has any on her ... I just added a new package that will make Alix "find" a sweetroll if he is within 50 feet of it. I see some problems ahead, like him "taking" them from Vilja or stealing them in stores, etc. That is one of the reasons I added that, kind of add some chaos to Maxical's existance as she walks about, lol. (one of the reasons too that I always have her get the Unicorn - talk about chaos, try to do the main questline on a Daedric beast !!! ROFL !!! It gets very wild at Weynon Priory and Cloud Ruler Temple when you have the Unicorn!) Thank you so much again, Grits !!!

I took your advice and removed the sweetroll packages - that was why Alix was following her. Without them he wasn't even my pet, just a wild rat named Alix that the guards kept shooting. I quit the game and cleaned the mod with TES4Edit before carefully going over piece by piece each step of the making of the mod - and found the problem. I had not added the "Summon" spell to the ring itself. Everything worked perfectly after that - well, except the combat.

I have not tested it out yet, but I did add back in the "Find Sweetroll" package to see if it works (since I know the "Follow Sweetroll" package works and why the summon wasn't working.

Now to figure out the HAVOC & combat issues, lol. Thanks again, KC - for everything and your Awesome support through this !!!

If a shopkeeper screams at Alix for thieving, be sure to catch that on film!

I'm not sure if creatures are capable of picking up items, though. Well, we'll find out soon enough.

The script I had works fine now that I attached it to the ring - but (yours) looks like it is better, more concise. Here is the script I used:






The summoning works fine, but Alix is not following very closely or consistantly well unless I have the "Sweetroll" package in - then he follows very closely and through everything and anything.

I am going to try to weight his feet to stop the havoc, but still unsure why with his combat package a mudcrab was able to knock him unconscious. And he does not come on summon when he is unconscious.

OK, (drum roll) ... Every single glitch is fixed !!!

1. Fixed the squeak being too quiet - It is still quiet, but you can hear it now.

2. Fixed the squeak not playing as often as it should - Alix squeaks as much as Vilja talks, and his temper is just as bad as hers.

Alix now squeak-cries and throws a tantrum when you tell him to wait (and curses you in squeak when you return no matter how short the trip, lol). I caught a tantrum in action, watch the vid, lol.

3. Fixed the havoc wreaking havoc in combat. - weighed Alix's feet down a little heavier than the average rat, although he is 20% smaller than them. Tweaked his combat a little too much, he can take down a Daedra now - I need to get in there and tone it down quite a bit, lol.

4. Alix's summon ring works wonderfully no matter the distance - I even called him into the testinghall (and unfortunately, called Janus Hassildor as well by accident - wrong hot key, wrong ring. He was stuck there, I had to go back to his castle and summon Janus home, lol) There is an example of the summoning in the vid.

5. Fixed Alix's follow package so he follows perfectly - however, if you DON'T have a sweetroll in your pocket and someone else does, his following YOU will become at a distance as he'll be trying to follow you and get the sweetroll from them at the same time, lol.

Here is the finished product, Alix the Mouse - now with voice and super powered combat (but the combat will be toned down ASAP, lol.)

Fantastic job mALX!! I'm so impressed with everything you got it to do!

Alix!!! My hero! mALX, that is fantastic! What a wonderful job you have done. As hard as you have worked on it, I'm so glad has come out so well.

I agree, that Alix may be a little overpowered in the vid. I'm sure you'll tweak him so he can defend himself but probably not clear a whole dungeon for Maxical. He is just cute as a button!

His AI as well as his physical abilities seem to allow him to follow Maxical about anywhere. It is so nice that it seems he won't get stuck by rocks and such while tagging along.

His squeaks are great and I love the little stand up on his hind legs animation.

Don't forget that a simple long lasting waterwalking on touch spell may be very helpful in getting him across the water. It works for Superian. Lol.

Thank you all so much for your kind words on Alix the Mouse!!! I really appreciate them a lot !!! I have gotten so attached to Alix in game !! King Coin and I both have Vilja, who I modeled Alix's constant chatter and bad temper on - the vid of the century will be to put them both in the bedroom at my Skingrad house and tell both to wait. Then I'll have to free-cam myself back in there to watch the fireworks explode !!! ROFL !!!

This next mod is something I whipped up in a hurry, I need to go back and tweak it in the OBSE. The Nif's and two "if" statements came from "Player Fishing v1.0 by Sarkandar." I changed the results of them, added some script and the sounds to suit Maxical better. I didn't like to see Maxical just standing there, so when I get time I'm going to cue the fishing sounds to her movements in the OBSE. I hope you like it!

Those messages were hilarious! I also like the way she holds the fishing pole. It is exactly the same as the way one wields a dai-katana in Morrowind! The sounds of her casting and reeling in the line cracked me up as well!

Oh my gosh, going fishing with a fussy mouse and a rude pole does not look relaxing! I love that the pole sasses Maxical, how funny.

When you tell Vilja and Alix to wait, leave just one sweetroll in the room. You might return to a scene like General Talos’ chamber, only with a sweaty Nord woman and mouse sitting on the floor.

I can't watch the Alix the Mouse vids anymore without crying. I had so much fun with him that I locked Vilja up in the Skingrad house with Eyja and took Alix with me everywhere. I poured over more than 200 mouse squeaks to find those particular sounds for him, not sure if I'll be able to fix him back to the way he was, but I'll try. Thank you all so much for all your kind words on Alix - and on the fishing pole, which is also broken now (but I don't care so much about it).


For anyone interested, here are the two vids of my Final Exam mod, it is two houses in the Black Marsh region(each with a basement), two horse stables, and two gardens. The properties are connected by a bridge. I can't upload the mod because it is in the same spot as the instructor's mod, but at least I graduated, lol. Here is the vids:

So pretty! I love the way the water is all around. The glowing stones add a nice touch. Is that what’s shining under the water? No worries about falling off of the dock in the dark.

Ditto on the garden. Did I see Nirnroot being successfully cultivated? Yay!

The house is so nice inside! I like how it’s open, but still cozy. Is that shepherd’s pie for dinner? I like the things you put on the table. Two fireplaces, no wonder is has such a welcoming feel.

The sliding doors downstairs are neat. Plenty of meat and mead, is that Vilja’s room? Is this the closet, oops, no, it’s the Doom World.

The houses look great together. I really like the stable area, it looks well-equipped. Who left the unicorn on the bridge? That’s how they do it in Bravil.

Great job, I really enjoyed the tour!!

I didn't think I could love the new look, but she is so darn cute walking - not sexy - just cute. And so clumsy, lol. I have fallen in love with her all over again.

So far she has numerous times missed with the bow, numerous times whacked away at her allies in melee combat, ran into a nest of spiders trying to cast using the "C" instead of the mouse clicker, one wife thinks she is after her husband, one husband thinks she is after him (and he ran away saying he had a wife, to leave him alone!

- she is still Maxical as I know and love her !!!!

Oh, these are great!! I can see why Maxical wanted a peek under Quaranir's robe before she says yes, he really is covered up, even his eyes! I about fell out of my chair when you said "He has blonde hair, that was a surprise." Of course my mind was not on his beard.

She looks great in that Forsworn armor! Is she going to buy a house for Quaranir?

@ KC - that is Quaranir, the Psijic Priest from Winterhold College. Maxical really likes him, but we'll see if he can be made to marry, lol.

@ Acadian - that is some armor she picked up fighting a wild faction of banshees - but their armor has very high ratings and is light, so she kept it, lol. She is like a walking tank in it, believe it or not !! (and altogether it weighs under 15-20 pounds !!

@ Grits - I guess I should have mentioned his dark beard moustache as the reason for my surprise, lol. His hair is very blonde, but he has a tiny bit of dark chest hair and a dark moustache. Very unusual (clean body and clean clothes too!) Maxical bought the house in Markarth, but just found out spouses will not come to it and sleep with their mates. URK !!

ROFL I wouldn't want to bump into that. KILL IT WITH FIRE! Zombie Rona is hilarious though. Once a highwayman tried to rob Westley. The creepiest part is the highwayman was...inside out, sort of. He had no face so his eyes were bulging out of his head and you could see his gums,teeth, and tongue. He didn't have legs either, so he was just sort of hovering above the ground.

I found those screens of Rona hilarious. If that had happened in my game, I would have kept her there so if I had a bad day, I could come home and have a good laugh. The highwayman I bumped into is a different story though. I had nightmares for a week after I saw him, and was convinced he was hovering around in my attic

Well, I had already got rid of her before making that mod, didn't think about it when the shop reformated my PC and I had to reload the game. I go bopping into my secret lair and NO ONE is supposed to be in there at all. When I first saw her laying in bed, didn't realize it was Rona at first because she looked so weird! Just saw a zombie in a dress laying in Maxical's bed inside her secret lair where NO ONE is supposed to be anyway - I screamed, lol.

What put her back into the game was that when they reformatted the hard drive I had to reload the game and all my mods. Killing her off wasn't part of the mod, so when I reloaded the game it reloaded Rona. The thing with how weird she looked - I don't know how that happened at all. It looked like Argonian spikes coming out of her head or something, maybe it was Harrida roots growing up through the floor of the cave or something. But where the rest of her face went ... that is the big question, lol.

In the shivering Isles DLC, Some zombies I assumed were dead got up and killed me. Honestly, in-game zombie Rona looks hilarious, but if I bumped into her in real life, I'd probably swim to the other side if the world

You expected her to get up and attack you? That's fine, vampires can't be trusted. What would you have done if she did get up and attack you?

I do too, it adds a lot of excitement to the game! In Oblivion, I always get the Bleak Mine guards chasing me, they will hound you everywhere you go (even into Oblivion gates!) and are very tough fighters - there are six of them if you manage to release the Ogres without killing any guards.

Audens Avidius will follow you anywhere too, but is a weak fighter and it isn't as thrilling.

The King Lich at Miscarand is a great one to have chase you, so is Sithis.

(Umbra will chase you relentlessly, but I don't like attacking her for no reason)

The Unicorn will chase you relentlessly too, all you have to do is draw a sword out to tick it off - but I don't like it dying so don't upset it except by accident.

The only stalker I never activated in Oblivion was the Khajiit from the "Collector" questline - liked him too much to make him mad.

Lord Lovidicus is fun to be chased around by too. He's very fast though.

Mountain lions are the best to be chased around by though. They disappear sometimes, and when you least expect it, they jump out at you. It scared the crap out of me once, but it's fun.

Wolves and mountain lions won't attack Maxical, don't know why. They will stand beside her or sit, it is nice for pictures. Also, bandits won't attack her, they talk to her like she is an NPC. The highwaymen do attack her though, so do all the other beasts.

I had a werewolf mod for Oblivion that would change you to a werewolf on a full moon. If you weren't expecting it and suddenly changed, everyone in the city would chase you trying to kill you.
