Hey all, just having a quick breather in between working out the competition and making the daedra (whipckkaaashhhhhh *ouch easy with that will ya*)
Anyway, decided to make a warrior of sorts that will take a while to finish (hopefully).
Anyway, if you guys have any critiques (i'll be showing different stages of its progress) just let me know.

It's great! Very realistic, although I don't like the bronze on the helmet. I reckon you should replace that with gold, but other than that, great!

I was originally going to consider gold, but i feel that gold has been done-to-death by most armours in most fantasies so i thought i'd try something a little different

EDIT: Scrap that, I was thinking of another design unfortunately, it wouldn't work on this helmet

nice add-on Darkwing. the armor is coming around nicely. mabey if you talk to the devs you could get it in Oblivion.

Yeah i liked the bronze too. Once the model is complete, i'll have a look at the various colour schemes. I changed it because i saw the old Warrior armour in Diablo and it was dark with white rims and i kinda liked it.

I reckon you should get rid of the spike and the circle thingy on the top of the helmet and those little dot thingies under the helmet on the torso.

Actually the various decorative 'dots' are part of an elaborate pattern which will look (hopefully) the muttz nutz when i render it out as a high resolution (as with the Daedra)

Well naturally But at the moment it was designed for proportions as opposed to being finished. No point carrying on with the model if the proportions are all out

The problem is that most companies use 3D Max to make their models. Darkwing doesn't like 3D Max, so he doesn't use it.

Hehe well noticed the light from the front is actually preventing any shadow being cast from behind. Im contemplating lowering the power of the front source to leave 2 decent shadows.

Ah yes, thats because the pauldron only swings to become parallel with the arm when the arm touches the underside of the pauldron. There is quite a bit of room under the pauldron which allows the arm to move quite a lot before the pauldron rotates. But if you feel it would look better then i can tighten the pauldron

Yup it is slightly darker, i killed some of the original lights to make the window stand out more
