So I've heard about the Xbox 720 coming out around Christmas this year, and was just wondering two things.
1. Would you buy it?
2. HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU USE THAT THING?! I MEAN http://postimg.org/image/yh4gb02bb/
Is...that controller a joke?!
That's scary as hell!
Really? That looks fake to me.

Wow.. That controller looks anything but user-friendly
That controller is almost definitely fake.
But I'm still not getting the thing while the Always On DRM thing is still very much a possibility.
I'm waiting for the PS4...
Once there's an Elder Scrolls, a Fallout and an Assassin's Creed on it of course...
...
Not made of money am I?..
...No, no I'm not, just in case someone's wondering...
Them poll stats.
Also that picture is really fake.
Nothing at all has been announced and Microsoft aren't stupid(suprisinly) enough to release that controller.
May 21st is the actual annoucments are coming out.
A couple of anonymous sources say that the 720 controller is nearly identical to the current 360 controller. There's no way that thing is real.
I'm sure I'll buy one at some point and time when the prices fall. At launch the prices on the 720 and PS4 will be ridiculous.
I wouldn't buy the PS4 just because when you look at the PS3's selection of games and availability of DLC is not good. Unless something major has changed, the PS4 isn't for me.
I dont really want a new game console. I bet once the 720 is out, they'l stop making games for the 360. -sigh- that just sucks.
Xbox One was revealed today...
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/22/technology/xbox-one-faces-wider-range-of-competition.html?_r=0, mainly because Microsoft is trying to do more than just make it a gaming machine. Not that I would ever buy one of course. I have a computer after all!
Still completely unfussed by this, I'll be honest. The good: It has better hardware and does lots of extra stuff besides games console things (though I honestly wander what the point of that is as televisions already being released can do the same thing as the Xbox 1, meaning that this isn't much of a selling point). Inbuilt Kinect seems nice, but it appears that Microsoft still don't understand the potentially for gameplay augmentation the Kinect has and are instead using it for the usual gimmicky voice command schtick when it could be so. Much. More!
The bad: No backwards compatability. I mean, why, Microsoft? How does that, on any level as a business move, make any sense?
The ugly: Locking out/charging for (it still seems up in the air) pre-owned games. I doubt this is going to last due to pressure from retailers like Gamestop, who rely on second-hand game sales as their bread and butter, but the sheer level of contempt that this shows towards customers is not only rather disheartening but also another really rather worrying of the direction this generation of gaming is moving in.
I'm reserving judgement on it until it's out, but I won't be pre-ordering and so far I don't feel all that optimistic.
Im glad its not called Xbox 720. That would have been embarrassing.
Well, Pepsi One was not the first Pepsi to be released.
So maybe the new X-Box only has one calorie?

After finding out more about the Xbox 1 and seeing gameplay, I'll probably get one eventually. My main concern with it was forcing you to be connected to the internet and destroying the used game market by encoding games to a single user. After a huge negative reaction from fans they've dropped those ideas.
Basically it will now be just like the 360 with awesome graphics.
Really? I might go after it then. I'll wait though, just in case...
I think itīs too bad they come up with new consoles all the time, putting the others which are not really old out of market for the game producers whoīll only concentrate on the new console.
Until the next one comes out, three months later
Alright guys.
You don't need to be online expect when setting up the console for the first time and you can use used games.
BUUUUUUUT!
The kinect is still required and always on(always watching)and indie companies can't self publish so no indies games on the XbOne expect Minecraft.
So yeah,I'm still getting a PS4 instead.
The kinect is always on? Yeah, I don't necessarily wanna be watched by strange people in my sleep, so I'll probably end up getting one depending on how many bad or good reviews it gets....
Must admit, I've been an Xbox fan since it came out. Bought the 360. Twice *red ring of death grumble grumble*
PS4 for me from the look of it now though. If only for the fact that it's cheaper... Damn those bills...
No. There's no point, for me. It wouldn't be cost-effective. I don't own a TV, so I would have to buy both an XBox and a TV. If I'm going to spend that amount of money I'd be better off upgrading my computer.
I wasn't planning on buying the PS4 because of the lack of games. But when I heard of ES: Online and The Witcher coming to the system, I decided I would buy it.
I am very dissapointed and angry that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhtyGvw0nwU will be an XBoX exclusive. It seems the PS4 only get modern gun-slinging or voodo doll-looking thingies as exclusives and the ones that do have swords are . . meh.
I thought it could be a fun necro this and re-discuss it, seeing how it all turned out in the end ![]()
So who here bought the new Xbox? Was it like you expected? What would you have liked to be different?
I have my opinions but I havenīt bought it so they can wait
I don't plan on buying the new Xbox
Did I mention my PS4 at all?...
...
...
Not been overawed by it yet, I must admit...I've not got one game...Well, other than the ACIV Multiplayer...I've not got a game that I've intensely played on it yet...
A lot of the games seem like easy 2D rendered side-scrolling platformers really, but taking advantage of the whole "I can pretty much make your real-life look false, I'm that good...I can make things look so pretty..." to give awesome background...
The jury is still out on it, I'll be honest...Once games like The Order 1886 come out, I'll be laughing really...
