First question.
If a man is standing in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

If God is all powerful, can He make a rock so big and heavy the He Himself can't lift it?" - George Carlin.

No,no one is right or wrong in life, because someones opinion is another's opinion,so to someone someone wrong is right.
Deep,I know.

In my experience, the people who beleive they need another person to be happy, are always thr most miserable. They need to remain single until they can learn to love, and live with themselves. Being together only works when a mutual respect is present.
Also, everyone knows that men are always factually correct, amd women always emotionally correct.

Silverware is set up in the order of its use/from left to right, IE:
Left of plate: Salad fork (same as a dessert fork - the shorter fatter fork) is outer, dinner fork (the long slender fork) is alongside the plate.
Right of plate: Knife goes closest to plate (sharp edge facing plate), then soup spoon (larger fatter), then the dessert spoon (small spoon).
Napkin goes on the left near forks (unless you want to make a fancy shape of it and put it in the middle of the plate).
Bread and butter plate goes above the forks/ glass of water goes above the spoons, and wine glass goes to the right of the water glass.

Aw, I'm sorry ImperialSnob
We've all kind of got high spirits on this site, but we weren't trying to derail your thread on purpose. What kind of questions did they ask on that other thread?
I've got a question for you:
What was the name of the imaginary female friend Uriel Septim VII had as a child?
Uriela Septim,see,explains alot about Martin
Wait, so we can't ask off the wall questions, but you can give off the wall answers? Unfair, I say!
Your answer is incorrect.
You can ask ANY question you want as long as it's question that is actually answerable.

Any question is answerable...It's just choosing whether to take it seriously and answer it properly with the right info or have fun with it if you don't know...
Therefore...Is this an answerable question?...

The answer is Justin. When Uriel Septim VII was a child he had an imaginary female friend named Justin. (which yes, that is a boys name). That is Elder Scrolls Lore.

QUOTE(McBadgere @ Jun 27 2013, 08:19 AM)

Like an empty table...*Stares wistfully into distance*...
So, just so I know, what is the correct placement of cutlery at a dinner party?...
The way I always remember this: start from the outside, move inwards, and things for dessert are above the plate.
I do have trouble remembering whether the bread and butter plate is on your left or right. There was once an Incident in which half the table at a formal dinner had to pass their bread plates around because I picked the wrong one, and I was sitting next to the head of my college at the time and in fact that whole memory is labeled "abject humiliation! do not open!" on my mental bookshelves. You'd think that sort of thing would lead to you not making the mistake again... alas, I still can't remember which way round it goes. I'm just now really really afraid of getting it wrong.
Er. Questions!
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Ah, 8 hours. Right on schedule!
Posted by: ghastley Jun 28 2013, 08:17 PM
Actually it's a trick question. At the speed of light, you would experience no time lapse at all, but everyone back at home would think it took 9 years(ish). Since you have to slow down, stop and turn round, that's the only time you'd experience time, and the question didn't give any clues about that part.
So if 8 hours for reversing is reasonable, mALX could be right (subjectively).

Of course, the speed of light can't be reached, so time stopping at that speed is a limit value.

A bazillion points to everyone!!...
Ex-Minion, yes the sun is indeedie our nearest star...Named Sol by scientists as it happens...Oddly enough, it's Latin for sun...But anyways...Yes, well done that man and his maths...
Impy!!...Yes, the sun is a long long way away...93 million miles, give or take a few...And well done for knowing that the Alpha Centauri star system to ours...Made up of three stars...Named, boringly enough, A, B and C...C is also called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxima_Centauri which is the nearest star to ours...
Everyone else, but most espescially Ghastley...Nice one!!...
Yes, Ghastley's right about all the nasty maths and time dilation effects etc and yes, I meant subjective time from Earth of my travelling 4.24 light-years there and back (as a straight round trip) would be about 9 hours...
Though I do take issue with the scientists who insist on this quantum effect thing...A light particle still has to travel the distance the 4.24 light-years actually is, and therefore, you, as an observer on a craft travelling at said speed would be aware of time passing...Stands to reason...But they're the clever ones with letters and stuff around their name and I milk cows, so - as a wise man once observed - I know my place...
...

How does it feel to be another year older?
I'm ever slowly dying.....no that's depressing.
I feel great!
When people wish me happy birthday I always bum them out because I calculate the what portion of my life is over when gauged next to the average lifespan of a human male.
I'm told I overthink things.

Depends on where you shoot him. Almost anywhere besides the head would still leave him conscious long enough to die from the fall instead so you'd just be very harsh.

Also, in the spirit of the thread, I shall ask a question. No Google searching!

Just because it has never happened does not mean it is impossible. Someone could be exposed at some point to an unknown agent that causes mutations that result in abnormal abilities, it is highly unlikely but could be possible.

Hey, Impy! What are you gonna do this summer?
Posted by: ImperialSnob May 13 2014, 07:26 PM
2 days in Belfast, going to the Titanic Experience.
This Friday is a Award Day where people are getting awards for highest scores, etc. etc. and it'll be a half day and we mightn't even have any classes.
Next Friday we're going to the National Aquatic Center then the Zoo.
The next 2 weeks are gonna be good!
Then a week of exams the SUMMER!
