For me I love the arena I love the blood pit that the gladiators go in and train the equipment- boxing heavy bag, that you can take and use any weapon they have on the rack its a good way to raise your skills
Im at the rank Gladiator and I have to fight three argonias (sorry pretty sure thats spelt wornglol)
One keeps punching me to the gorund and the others kick the c*ap out of me, ones got a sword as well
Also found this nord with a long sword hard
So i decided to do the mian story for a bit the first oblivion gate i found abouslutly soild took me ages to do lol
Im wondering how the arenas going for you and what you think of it and any funny storys
I want someone to eventually yield before me
I've only done one arena fight with my assassin character.
After the second he just got wooped, I guess he's not so good at fighting people who know he's there to begin with.
To be fair though, he was only a level 1 at the time.
Sins_to_dark...I entered the arena, with a juiced up Nord warrior...got pwned in the first match....had to yield to survive.....*cry me a river baby*
Yeah i don't have good enough stuff yet to survive... All I have is all leather(ish) armor (stuff), steel bow, Iron and steel arrows, and the DB dagger you get when you start off.
I have the game too, I needed an enchanted sword before I defeated the first Arena adversary. Damn those health potions! But anyway, how exactly do you yield to your enemy?
I didn't enter the Arena until around level five, and I managed to go through like six or seven rounds before things started to seem tough.. I found myself drinking health potions. I then went questing in other places.... and level 8 with much better gear.. I should probably head back soon...
Howdy Do! lol the arena was the first place i went with my Ranger (custom made class) and i flew through the ranks and am now an arena grand champion (killed the orc/vampire dude "the gray prince") it is really easy if you are a skilled marksman, all you have to do is run to one of the collumns on the right or left side of the arena, next to the activatable iron gates and jump on top of them and you will be out of reach af all combatants. Also what i did before i knew about this method was the typical bow-kiting (method learned from many many hours of everquest =P). once you are a grand champion you get the raiments of valor (badass armor for light or heavy) and also an elven shield, and shortsword (you are allowed to loot "the gray prince's" corpse). also as a grand champion you get to do an arena battle only once a week in which you fight beasts instead of gladiators (pick from 1,2,or 3 beasts) and you make 1116 gold per fight =). after you leave the arena some gay looking elf dude with a swirly haircut runs up to you and begs to follow you around everywhere you go, lol. he just follows you and worships you... (and also fights with you). i also noticed that all merchants now have 100 disposistion with me when i buy or sell to them.
Quite easy as Redguard (just use adrenaline rush). Smash/slash it' over. Would be interested to try it over as I've leveled up a bit (alas I can't). The animals they throw at me when I stop by are pitiful.
I'm the Grand Champion, but my favorite fight was the one where I did absolutely nothing!
*slight spoiler*
There is one fight where you're against three peeps, and you've got a rather psychotic boar ally. Well, I took on one of them, then by the time I'd turned around Mr Boar had gored the other two to death whilst they were trying to attack me! I love Mr Boar. That's why I went and hunted his cousins in the hills, before eating them with the aid of my alchemic spice rack.
Yum!
I'm one fight below gladiator, nord with longsword and shield
well my self is the grand champion... now im doing exibition matches agains monsters.. im lvl 22 now so i get like 2,5k for every match i think.... do any one now if you can complet the quest? becuse its still in my active quest log
Nope, you xcan never ever finish it. It just stay there so you can remembe wher the woman is.
Ok am I the only one her who can pwn all of the fighters
hint use arrows!
I found that the argonian fight was the hardest for me they pissed my off too. I kept getting knocked down and the crap kicked outta me. Im the grand champion and i fight minotaur lords now (3 of em ) yeah... when i was fighting to become Champion (the one before you fight the gray prince) i had a hog as an ally. I was wondering if this is normal, cause i was really confused...
Yeah I got that pig to fight with me as well. Probably normal...
That Pig was AWESOME!! He killed two of them by the time I had got the champion down to half health!
Arena is clearly the easiest of the quest lines.
I first did it from lvl 6-12 with a fighter. I just did it last night with a level 17-18 mage (no blades/blunt, only staff), and it took me two 'game' days - just going up to the pit and killing one after the other it's quite easy. With a mage or bowfighter, run backwards and shellack the enemy.
I even fought the Grey Prince fair and square this time and it was a disappointment - he went down waayyy too fast for someone who was 'the best to ever fight in the arena'.....
well me, im also the grand champion, and i started in the arena about level 2 and won my first few matches. the arena did help me get to my current level though (lvl.18) i thought that stoopid gray prince was easy, but my marksman skill aint very good, so i just went in therewith my ebony longsword (bang, slash, euggh! you got me! etc.)
i didnt bother with doin the gray princes quest. what does he give you if you would have done it anyone? and those animal fights, god, they are easy. 2k for just beatin up 3 minotor lords? there just givin money away!!
oh yeah. LONG LIVE THAT FINE PIECE OF MEAT THAT IS THAT BOAR!! mmm...boar...
Hey people!
First post ever for me here. In my current game i am a battlemage. I cant say i had much difficulties in the arena untill now. I entered with a level 1 (or 2) char. Just about right after the sewers. I am ranked gladiator but for the moment i m getting my but whooped by the orc just before ranking up to gladiator. My usual tactic is summoning skeletons, flares and the two handed weapon i picked up in the training area of the arena. I m thinking of using the glitch in the arena where you can jump on an arc and no melee can hit you...but then you are not really worth the gladiator title...
SPOILER WARNING
There are two bonuses for completing the Arena quests, and possibly a third if you take on a side quest.
The first bonus for completing the Arena is the Rainment of Valor, either Heavy or Light. Essentially, it's a magic set of armor that takes up all the body slots and carries some decent enchantments, but you likely won't use it for long, unless you're low level.
The second bonus is the ability to fight monsters once a week, drawn from a pool of monsters that should prove a challenge to your level (also depending on the difficulty you play at, and your personal skill).
The third bonus can be obtained by taking a quest for the Gray Prince BEFORE you kill him. The reward is a power that boosts Athletics, Blade, and Block by 3 points each. Also, completing the quest will guarantee that you will win the final Arena fight against him.
Sorry if I spoiled it for you.
...... I have beat the Arena(.....6,7,8 Idon't know how many times) just be true to your fighting style
*MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR ARENA QUESTS*
I started the arena on level 18. And the Arena combatants ARE leveled to you, right? Because, I shreded through the yellow team like a tissue paper. I found it quite irritating. The only matches I found a challange where the three Argonians, just because I took them down one at a time. And the female orc with the very, very, very large hammer. The last battle for champion rank was....easy in a way. I thought that "I GOT A PIG!?" And well, the pig made it easier. My Breton Battlemage was insulted.... And the Grand Champion...yeah... 'I have fought mudcrabs stronger than you!"
I am grand champion & I am fighting the monsters.
Get a paralyst potion or scroll. Use it on the thing or person you are fighting & when they drop Wail away.
i was a member of the arcane university and had a enchanted elven long sword so with just one hit there dead
I've beat the aren 3-4 times and I always play on the normal difficulty or it'll be too easy.
