hi there. i need to find some (5) ectoplasm for one of the fighters guild quests. where can you get it from?
I got my ectoplasm from shops when I had to do that quest.
Ghosts drop them, along with a few other varieties of undead, I'd think.
Doing the run-down manor quest out of Anvil, you get a near-infinite supply of Ectoplasm. If that's not your thing, then all the ghosts in Fallen Rock Cave must have respawned by now.
Go to the ghost ship in anvil. There should be 5 ghosts and 5 ectoplasms with them.
I was wondering if ghosts can be hit by arrows. The only magic I have is flare.
The arrows or bow have to be magic. Go on the cursed ship. The five ghosts there die fast, even if youi use flare. I won the arena using flare. And then weak fireball. But I also used a magic weapon. If you do the ghost ship quest, you get a sword that hits ghosts.

break into the undercrofts of the chapels, there should be ghosts down there you can kill. im pretty sure the chapel in Chorrol has some.

how do you kill ghosts by the way? do you need a magical weapon to smite the misty ones?
Yes a magic weapon. If you ont have one, use a sigil stone. I think the first one, shock is very effective. And all the deadra or other oblivion things die fast if you use shock.
silver weapons work as well, but an enchanted magical weapon would be better.
hmm, well ill look for something in a silver shortsword then and see if cant get it enchanted for shock (just to be sure). wheres a good place to go for the enchanting? could i get it done by someone at a mages guild, but if so would it likely be a certain person in a specific city, or just anyone pretty much?
Either advance through the mage ranks, use a sigil stone, use a spell, or get a silver weapon. I recomend the haunted manor place if you buy it for the 5000. The ghosts there are weak.
whats a good way to get things enchanted though if youre nothing to do with the mages or magic? ive not done it before, not even in morrowind, so im unsure as to where to go.
