Chorrol.com _ General RPG Discussion _ Bioshock

Last December I got, installed, played and finished Bioshock on the PC. Really cool game but incredibly short, it didn't take me a month to finish! I made a spoiler-free resumé over at Bethsoft and thought I'd post it here. It's unaltered, save from smileys.

Phew, ok. I've played Bioshock to its completion and all I can say is whatta ride! laugh.gif

Now for my thoughts on it! smile.gif

A very addictive playstyle combined with the interesting plasmid idea and a variety of awesome weapons mixed together with a good story and a very interesting twist in the middle made this a good game I'm glad Iīve played through

Though it was a very short game compared to lets say my flagship game Deus Ex it was well-made, had nice graphics and I really liked that you can go back to previously visited areas and when you do, those areas are far from empty even though you've already kicked the splicer's buttocks last time you were there
Itīs interesting when I think about how I play FPS games. RPG elements involved or not, I always end up with max ammo on every weapon, max medkits and in this case max EVE hypos. Seems like a waste really considering I canīt use them as the game ends.

Loved the ending but I wonīt spoil anything if some readers are planning to get the game. Highly recommended I say! smile.gif

I totally agree...I don't think I'm any great way through it, but what I'd done I'd really enjoyed...(I can't remember what came up to stop me carrying on playing at the time...)...

I loved being the Big Daddy...They really do rock!!...

I've got the second one, but I want to finish the first...Erm...First...

Probably though, it's been so long since I did any of it, I may as well start from the start again...

But yeah, excellent game...

So you can proudly say you've "beaten the game"?

I LOVE Bioshock! I'm still not finished with it, though.

Where are you atm?

The last thing I remember is the tutorial about Little Sisters lol. So not very far. I'm sure I'm farther but I played last year.

Youīve just started then! tongue.gif

Maybe you could post some updates here? And I mean as yourself, not any RP thing. Not that the game encourages that anyway tongue.gif

I don't like bioshock too much, but its been a while since I last player it....

It REALLY doesn't, lol.

If my husband hasn't traded it in yet, I'll see if I can get I the mood to play.

Itīs really a no-brainer, but still fun to mess around with. I needed that as I didnīt want to play VtM:B again and I had to play something else for awhile.

Weapons plus me equals amazing! biggrin.gif

Bioshock was pretty good but a little too far out there for my tastes.

A fun experience nonetheless Iīd say. But yeah, a little far out tongue.gif

What I didnīt like was the modifications for the weapons. They did not look good and on the crossbow they just filled up the screen even more! panic.gif
