Dude...the post machine is back!

O-o....Now it begins....In her Majesty's secret Service!
Sethyas Velas! You watch out, women are devious normally, but this one.....is faaaar more.
Very very nice to see ch 3 up already.... It's already driving shivers down my spine, so live up to your "name" post-machine please!

Ok so they're waiting now...all of them. I wonder how Seth feels standing face to face with Helseth? The man who wants him dead?
Those fabricants, I never have seen them, wonder what they look like? I will keep my fingers crossed that the meeting will be of no threat to Sethyas' life. You never know with Kings, they are so unpredictable.
Ok Mr Post-machine, keep them coming. I'm sure I will have a great need for more Sethyas when I come home from work in about 16 hours!
I find it amusing that Sethyas has problems with the Tribunal (which Rayne respects like many Dunmer), and Rayne is bored by history and investigating ancient objects. Keep this up, Black Hand.

Wonderful....Seth's conversation with Helseth was very enjoyable, and well written, so well written!
A humorous quote, which made me giggle, so typically Sethyas!:
Awesome conversation. It progressed logically and entirely in character for both of them. Two great minds meet at last. Bravo!

Interesting intrigues are coming up. Who's plotting against who? It's developing into complexity(?) now...
Major continuations here, with loads of undercurrents. Fun reading how Seth's personality and background color his dealings with Helseth.

Hehehehehehehehehehehe....*devious laugh*
Ok...so now we're talking! This izzz getting deep into mystery now. I'm very anxious to see where this is going...
I hope you will continue really soon!
I'm going away on friday and I would like to....know more really I would...
Pretty pleeeeease Blackie! You know how much I like this story...

I'm afraid I entirely missed the whole "you're the real target" part of that quest. I was honestly paying too much attention to coming out from behind the screen and killing them than what they were actually saying (which is actually quite atypical of me). D'oh! In any case, you handled it very well.
It's attention to detail like this that I'm going to have to adopt if I ever want to do that ultra-ambitious 2920-style second project I've been vaguely dreaming of making. 'Course, I'll have to finish The Interim first.
But enough about me. My point is that this is starting to get really awesome. Keep it up!
The level of intrigue in this story keeps skyrocketing, and I'm finding it quite riveting. Sethyas certainly has great insight into what is going on; much more than I think the king would like him to have. I'm looking forward to a uniquely "Black Hand" take on the fight with Karrod, especially what kind of thoughts you put into his mind as he duels this mighty champion.
Thanks Blackie, another Sethyas was just what I needed this..uhhh very odd day.
I can feel the tension building up here. Makes me wonder...but I'm sure Seth sees through the wicked King. Otherwise he wouldn't be Sethyas.
The only problem I have now is that I probably won't see Sethyas until tuesday night... Because I'm going away tomorrow after work...
On the other hand I might have some miiiiiiiiighty good reading when I return!
Love it.....
Deleted.
Yes...what is his true purpose? I must admit I haven't a clue, so I guess I'll have to wait and see, (til tuesday?)
Aaaaanyway so he's going out with Rayne? A decent thing to do, the poor girl must have been sick with worry.
A Seth-ish quote:
Deleted.
“This buys you my service, and a bit of loyalty too.”
If only true loyalty could be bought. I do hope his new companion doesn't cause him any trouble.
I didn't think Seth was suicidal, but now I don't know...If I was Raynie I'd be terrified for him or at least I'd try to talk him out of it.
But of course you can't talk Sethyas out of something he's in for, so let's hope he and his "loyal" companion really makes it.
Honestly I think they do.

Damn good work here, Black Hand. I mean, I go off on this little canoe trip of mine, and come back with about 8.23 billion updates to read, and every one is bloody wonderful.
I read this over the last couple of days and what can I say? Bloody brilliant, that's what!
You have managed to craft words with the skill of a truly gifted author, making the plot of both games into something truly special. You have moments of humour, romance, action, tension and philosophy throughout, whilst Sethyas is a brilliantly developed character. Ruthless enough to be an assassin, yet human enough to be likeable, Sethyas seems to be a loveable rogue and one of my favourite characters.
Good show!

That was an excellent update. The interplay between Sethyas and Helseth at the end is truly superb. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they handle things from here, and what the nature of their relationship becomes.
Wow!
That was an awesome duel there. Not quite as awesome as the one between Sethyas and Venim, but awesome nonetheless.
And whls we're a bit in the vein of picking favourite characters, mine has got to be Rayne.
To clarify my earlier response (Wow!), I'd like to say that I direct it (Wow!) to the transformation of Sethyas and Helseth's dispositions towards one another. It is a radical shift, and yet you make it fit, taking total ownership of the Tribunal storyline. The duel was nice too, though I think you've done better. So I guess I'm saying...
Wow!
Yes....oh yes you've done it again! An excellent read after a hard day's work. And as have been pointed out by the rest of your fan-club, the interaction between Helseth and Sethyas was really very well described.
But..can the King be trusted?
In my opinion Seth will have to be alert, he must watch his back, because if I was him...I wouldn't trust His Royal Highness for one lousy bit!
Hmmm waiting very patiently....again

You're not the only one! My battles are normally written by experts ..like Mallie..
But leave it as is! No actual need to change it...
Nice dialog between Helseth and Sethyas.
What will happen now? Will he begin to actually like Helseth?
This took awhile to read through including Volume One, but it was well worth it!
The Tale of Sethyas Velas is masterfully written with romance, comedy, and action...usually all within one update. I thought I was going to cry when Ilmeni died. Anyways, loved it! Keep all the updates coming and as many say, postmachine!

Finally got the guts to read and catch up with it.
First of all, it's good. Really good. As for the latest developments, I add my voice to everyone else. It will be interesting to see how Sethyas' new outlook on things will continue to affect him.
This was a beautiful installment , Blackie! So thoughtful and calm if you know what I mean (yes you do! ) I read it for the first time very early this morning at the hotel-computer, then I read it again...now, being at home again. I love it, its balm for my mind to read your work....
*Pokes Black Hand*
What happened to this so called post machine?
C'mon, I love this guy and I want an update!
Don't make me whine more!
I hope he isn't dead.
It's only been one month since the last update, folks. Let's just chill a bit. Heck, I think just in the 2008 calendar year I've had two stretches where I took at least 2 months off. It happens. Just makes the next installment all the sweeter.

Ah, I enjoy this quest, if only because a couple (at least) years back in the Lore Forum we had this crazy speculation thread suggesting that Eno Romari was an avatar of Seht. I loved that thread. Almost as good as my joke-post about Charles the Plant being an heir to the Septim Empire. Ah, the Lore Forum.
It's great to see another update. I ended up reading through the entirety of Volume II before I got to this, just so I could remember and appreciate the context of the rest of the story.
Terrific work, as usual. Hopefully the next update will come a bit sooner!
This was indeed most welcome! Gah, reading this made me realise just how much I've missed Sethyas, in fact I had to read through most of volume II just like BBQ!
Anyway I'm glad you found time to make this update, even though I do understand how work affects one's creativity...trust me, I know far too well...
He lives!
Nice update Handy, and it's good to have Sethyas rocking around again. However I thought that the attack happened only a few days ago-how could the cult form so quickly?

Nicely done, good sir. I like Sethyas' reaction to Eno Romari's speechifying--off in a huff, taking a moment to collect himself... well-played.
This was a very nice surprise! I've missed Sethyas immensely you know.
As usual you have created an intriguing continuation....it's so nice to see this story up and running again, it made my day!
Oh I especially enjoyed the last part...
Yeah! Blackie's back! Awesome!
SETHYAS LIVES! WOOT!
Good to have you back Handy. I've been missing this assassin.
Deleted.
What can I say? I'm stunned, truly I am. You'e a poet, Blackie, oh yes I've know that for a very long time, but you're just "doing it" all the time.
His dream is very suggestive, is it the power of the Goddess? or is it just Sethyas being influenced by her, for that is what he is...
Then again it makes me wonder how an anciend goddess can get into his head like she's obviously is beginning to do. can't he resist her? Is Sethyas so vulnerable or is he just desperately seeking ratification??
thank you for a good read, I needed that after yesteday's sorrow...
Aha. More musings from the Morag Tong's number one muser.
Seth is very musey, isn't he?
Deleted.
Sethyas is back!! I've been missing him for awhile.... Great update Black Hand can't wait for the next!
Is that gunpowder Seth has found?
And the plot tightens, tension is built up. This whole post is a cliff hanger, at least I feel it that way. As usual brilliant writing, Blackie you are incredible!
Keeps my fingers crossed for my favourite assassin...
Deleted.
Boom baby! BOOM!
Yeah, I liked the part.
Intelligent as usual, Sethyas encounter with the techniques of ancient dwemerii...brilliant! He took some heavy risk though! I mean apparently he knew about those chemicals, how they would react and even then he fired at them.
Bold and courageous, but but.....gruesome things could have happened if he hadn' managed to run off.
Calculation or sheer luck?
What dwells in the black hole?
Some questions were answered but even more were raised..makes me anxious to learn more.
Oh and Seth...please....be careful!
Deleted.
Deleted.
Perhaps Sethyas needs to be more careful, that could have killed our favorite assassin!
Good update, I especially like the bit about the Nine's virtues. Keep up the good work Black Hand!
Ok so Seth really has a knack for elder women? Or is it the divineness of Lexie that appeals to him? Anyway this whole thing could easily have led to end of story for him, but as you stated he still is alive to tell!
The wandering priestess' s prophecy could have come true...hrmm
You keep impressing me with your wonderful writing, Blackie, you really do! Now I will wait patiently for the continuation.....
(Eh who am I fooling, I'm not a patient person, not when it's about Sethyas.. )
Oh and I beg you Seth....be careful huh!
I think Sethya's friend Al would disapprove of this combat technique, even though he sports a dagger with similar qualities. When I played through Tribunal with him as a character I believe he resorted to the "climb on rooftop and cut down target in a hail of viper-bolts" method. But then Al doesn't let goddesses mess with his head and make him think he's some kind of warrior-hero. Sethyas needs to mind his mind.
Well done, as ever. I think you try to get a little over-verbose in spots, but you compensate well with images like this: "But I [...] had drank her love like a man drinks wine to forget the pain."

AAAAAAAHHHHHRRR!
This is just cruel! You couldn't resist, right? A cliffie...hrmmm
Okidoki, just have to wait for chapter four then, I guess
A suitable ending though....oh aye
*sitting patiently.....or?*
