Ok, so this is the next one...please just continue posting
Arygon turned to Flint "Sure why not? Oh, by the way drink this it, should, take care of your cold. I pinched it from Telina's bag, along with this one" Arygon tossed the Cure diease potion to Flint. "I'm going to find them you can follow if you want." Arygon told Flint. He walked onto the road, they were invisible but that didn't stop them from leaving footprints, he ran down the path after them, knowing he'd move faster than they could.
Flint Ironwood, crossroads
Flint sat back down against the tree while Arygon ran off and enjoyed the alcohol. The cure common disease potion was safely tucked in a small bag. It would bring in some good old money. He'd already used a spell to cure his cold, so he should be fine.
,,Meh, protecting people was never my thing anyway." He muttered between two mouthfulls of the delicious liquid. Then it dawned on him. He had promised himself he would help. And there was this promise a couple of years ago that he would never break a promise. This also incidently led to the event that caused his father to lose his hands, eyes and tongue.
,,Great, if I can kick my own father cause of a stupid promise, I can protect people. Now where did they go? Nah, I'll just head to the palace again and have another round with those Nords. Who knows, I might follow those assassins and stop them from doing their thing." Flint thought to himself and got up. He then cast his jumping spell and made his way back to Agnar's castle with a few giant leaps.
,,A small step for the Breton, a giant leap with the help of Magicka." He muttered to himself while somewhere between the low clouds.
It was a days ride north of Bruma.
Sadril Darothril, a shady character was standing in his room in the upstairs of a tavern in Falcreath. He stared out his window as the sun rose to midday, and he began to get drowzy. He removed his dark, worn Shrouded Armor and placed his semi-famous Katana on the floor next to his bed.
The sword had been his only true companion, the only thing he could rely on in this world to always be there, always work properly. His old friends had all died of old age some time ago, yet his own face and skin remained as smooth and clear ashen colored as any young Dunmer's.
He layed in his bed, covered up to protect himself from the severe Nordic cold and the vengeful sunlight shining through the window. But he did not sleep. His eyes, glazed over and misty, were almost completely void of the signature blaring red Dunmeri pupils; perhaps a lght shade of pink if the light was right. They stared into space, unwavering.
The shadows spoke to him. One of the few things of this world that do not lie are shadows. They define what is dark and what is light as clearly as good and bad, night and day, dead and alive.
Or do they?
As of late the shadows tell of dark things. Murders avenged with execution. Execution avenged with assassination. Hatred replaced by more hatred, and where would it end? Who would stop it? But, most importantly, what would come of it? These questions Sadril could not concentrate on, for his moment of rest was interrupted by a knocking on his room door.
Sadril sat up with an unamused look across his face. The knocking came again, "Sir? Sir?! Are you in there?" A female Nordic voice called through the door.
Sadril got up slowly and opened the door. Realising the stunning beauty of the fiery haired woman knocking at his door, he quickly changed his expression to that of a pleasant one, "Can I help you mada--" he said in a still dreary voice, interrupted by the sight of fine cuisine on a steaming plate.
"Your lunch, Sir," she said with a cheerful smile.
"Thank you so much," he returned politely, "But I am not hungry right now so if you could you send my thanks to the chef."
"But--" Too late, Sadril closed the door on her rather quickly.
"They need to stop sending amateurs, trying to poison me..." (?!) he muttered drearily while climbing back into bed, this time facing away from the door. Several minutes passed and Sadril began to drift into sleep when his keen senses picked up something again.
The door has opened... Someone has entered my room.... No armor.... (If you were observant, you'd notice his Katana was no longer laying on the ground.) Sadril waited until the figure was close enough when he flung the blankets up into the air as a distraction, and rammed his crimson blade, concealed under his covers, through the gut of the intruder before the sheets returned to the ground.
A fiery haired Nord woman dropped a pile of blankets and stood there teary-eyed, before collapsing.
"compassion!" Was all Sadril said when he realised what he had done. Quickly he gathered his belongings, wrapped his black robe and hood around him tightly, cast an invisibility spell and went to find another inn to stay at. That'll cause a ruckus with the guards...
Enter Sadril
Arygon continued tracking them trough the forest, but when the storm blew up he cropped into a tree to get some branches for shelter. He settled down knowing that if he couldn't go any further, they probably wouldn't either.
Brianna, forrest
"Hey...the storm is coming closer..weīd better get some shelter......!"
Brianna looked back, noticing their footsteps were visible......that was not good. She walked back in their racks for a couple of yards, then going back, backwards, wiping out the footprints with a bunch of twigs..
"There", she muttered, "Thatīs gotta do the trick"
Flint Ironwood, high up in the air.
Flint was in the middle of what he thought to be his final jump when the storm hit him. He was blown away like a leaf in the wind and missed his landing zone completly. Instead, he saw the walls of Agnar's palace coming out of the fog.
,,Oh crap!" Was all he could shout as he aimed for a window. He flew through, sending shards of glass all over the place. The wall on the other side of the room stopped him, but it was still painfull.
,,Ow, that hurt." He muttered as he looked around. He began to curse when he found out that he was in Lord Agnar's bedroom. And the lord didn't look happy.
It could be the cheap pillow Flint had shoved under his head earlier, or it could be the window. Or both. Whatever was the case, Flint was in trouble.
Arygon, waking from his half-sleep, saw a small campfire trough the storm. Arygon decided it would be warmer than sitting around in the snow so he walked toward it, and was greeted by a familiar scene, one man was being held down by other while a third stood by and watched "Hello over there!" Arygon called out drawing his Dwemer sword...
OOC: good place for all you's out in the woods fighting with each other to join it
Penne
Camp
"Yeah, forget, just let me borrow your arrows because I'm starving, and my arrows are keeping us warm," said Penne. "Don't try to move too much, I'll be back with the hog, and perhaps we can crush the skull and use it to boil some water. I know of your illness, I spent two years studying herbs in Solstheim, you should be right to move in around four to eight hours (Penne still couldn't tell the time). Until then just lay down, I'll be back soon."
Penne reached under the imperial and helped himself to his quiver, taking his own bow and setting off west for about half a mile.
Deagan, along the road
Deagan agreed and slowly made his way through the forest on his side of the path, the more intelligent thing to do would be to seek shelter but it seemed that neither he nor Rahvin were worried about that right now even with the storm raging around them.
Rahvin became out of sight after a few feet away, Deagan wasn't sure how he would find anything in this weather. The freezing snow continued to hit him in the face and he wished he had a hood to keep his head warm, that would be the first thing he did when this was over...buying something with a hood.
He continued along the path but saw nothing...but perhaps this was just Rahvin's way of leaving him for dead since they hadn't hit it off when they'd met...he wondered and paranoia set in.
That rat betrayed me...I'll bet he headed back to the manor to sit by the fire...he could be on the other side of the path but what if he left me to die in the snowstorm? I'll get him if he did...
Deagan shook off the brief moment of insanity before he continued to pick his feet up one at a time out of the deep snow and then step down into the cold earth again. His eyes darted back and forth, searching for any sign of life in the dense forest along the road.
Forrest near skyrim
Juliano settled down as he saw the wood elf put away his sword. He panted for a second as he replyed" hello, my name is... juliano, are you a blade by chance?" he asked as he noticed his remarkable marksmanship as he saw the bandits laid to waist.
Juliano's eyes scaned the forrest for apollo as he removed his armor." Apollo! where are you?" he shouted infront of Galadile. Apollo came trotting towards him as he nudged Juliano with friendly intentions.
Telina, with Jadier and Brianna.
Telina, was rummaging through her sack, when she notice that one of her potions was stolen..."Damned be that thief", she said...and then she continued to follow Jadier and Brianna, while thinking on Gorrmund
Arygon, Penne's Camp
"Hello! Over there!" Arygon was getting impatient, he walked right into the middle of the camp, his sword hanging from his hand loosely. "How would you people like 1000 septims each? And maybe some food for your starving friend there?" Arygon smiled, this kind of people were always easy to hire or bribe.
Galadile, Woods
"No i am not a blade, i am good because of rigourous training in my homeland and wandering cyrodiil." Galadile whistled. "There has been a higher concentration of bandits though and perhaps i will accompany to where you are going, at least for a little bit. Where are you going anyway?" he said looking at the young man
Flint Ironwood, Agnar's bedroom.
,,Oh, hi old pal. Flying Breton delivery service. You asked for a cure common disease potion?" Flint said, thinking quickly.
This didn't seem to impress Agnar though, who pulled out a big Claymore from under his bed. A small dagger underneath a pillow wasn't enough for the lord.
,,Hey, I am sorry about the pillow and the window, I swear!" Flint shouted as he ducked the first blow.
,,Now stop it before I get mad!" Flint tried for the last time but still failed to calm Agnar. Finnally, the Breton decided he'd had enough and took out his Katana.
,,Time to send you flying."
With a quick swing of his sword, Flint threw all its Telekinetic charges at Agnar who stumbled backwards when the powerfull blasts hit him. One last step, and he fell backwards out of the window.
Flint looked down, but couldn't see the ground through the storm.
,,Oops. Now I do think there was a pile of hay down there. If not, that's gotta hurt. I'd better get out of here." Flint muttered before activating his invisibility spell and entering the winding corridors. He was feeling hungry, so maybe the kitched would be a nice place to hide.
(Now Agnar can be either dead or not. It all depends on whether it is decided that he landed in a pile of hay or not.)
Arygon looked at the man pinned to the ground, "And what are you claiming to be, dear.... Sir." Arygon looked at the man, holding the other down, he appeared to be a warrior, prehaps good prehaps not, either way. "Will you hep me track down a... murderer pretending to be a Lord?" Arygon, unable to let the other man know something was wrong, laughed silently in his mind.
OOC: I just noticed you OOC Minque that says it was cheap to ingore the paralyze... its not, my current record for spell blocking (with no magical help) is 7 in a row from a Acended Sleeper... so unless that spell was Uber Deluxe i believe my luck is good enough to turn it aside (good ol' Breton resistance
)
Deagan, along the road
Deagan heard someone talking across the path and he crossed over slowly in search of the voice. A few feet away he saw Rahvin once again and started moving towards him slowly.
Deagan looked to the ground where Rahvin was pointing.
Footprints? Toward the manor?
He looked at the footprints for a moment before looking back at Rahvin.
I'll be damned...how did they...we'd better get moving...we don't have time for this
"No you're right...they're leading back toward the manor but how could that have happened? They would have had to run right between us." Deagan said
Deagan began to follow the tracks slowly keeping an eye on the ground as well as in front of him to spot anyone that might be around. His hand on the cold, damp cloth around the hilt of his sword in case they met up with anything in this weather.
Thiras, Under a boot
The uncomfortable position in which Thiras found himself was by his standards, (which were extremely low) hopeless.
"Um, yeah, about that - would you mind removing your boot from my neck, and to you," he said rather angrily to Arygon, "I'll have you know I'm no murderer, it was all self-defense, all seventy one cases of it. I was defending my property, every last stolen bit of it."
(OOC: He just admitted to seventy one murders, by the way.
)
Rerlas->campfire
Rerlas couldn't help but smile at this man, Hmph he may be a dirty assasin but he has a sence of humor, i can give him that Rerlas thought about undrawing his bow but thought against it. He is still an enemy, he tried to kill us, damn, lets get this over with
Arygon, suprised by this odd proclomation looked down at the man on the ground. "Ummm... you do know I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about a man who calls himself Jadier" Arygon pointedly stared at the man, until the other man looked away. "How about both of you help me out? You come help me kill 'Jadier' and I'll give you 1000 septims, each." Arygon, this time, smiled where they could see it, not a friendly smile either.
OOC: Lol, you guy's pretty nervous there Gamer
he should be a little more careful in what he 'admits'
"Friend, watch the scoundral. Make sure he moves not a single, solitary, inch" said Gorrmund looking at Rerlas. "You're hunting the greatest, most powerful lord of Skyrim, and instead of taking friends or dispicable scoundrals as back-up, you simply ask strangers? I am Gorrmund, loyal under Jadier, the most fair and just lord of our province, and you are a criminal for conspiracy of murder, soliciting citizens of Skyrim for Mercenarial acts, slander against a scoundral and the ever so moronic act of asking the child of a lord to kill his father!" Gorrmund yelled as he raised his sword. "En garde!" Gorrmund had always loved the sayings of the Redguard fencers, even though he was far from fencing with a Nordic claymore.
Rerlas->campfire (da Duelzorz)
Rerlas nodded to Gormmund and kept a closer eye on Thiras, while eyeing the battle. "You had better not move, I know of a few places I can put this thing which could be worse then death." He said glaring at Thiras.
forum went kerflop, double post.
Another Inn to stay at, Sadril did not find. Instead he found a feeling, something calling him away from the town of Falcreath (I am spelling this right?). He had a nack for 'feeling' conflict and tension and enjoyed hunting it out and toying with those involved. Whether he improved the situation or not, Sadril found amusement from playing with people's feelings in times of importance.
A camp in the wilderness is what he stumbled upon; not to mention somewhat of the conflict he had been searching out. A man on the ground, one hovering over him and two others looking ready to duel. Some other tension was brewing farther North, but for now this held Sadril's attention.
He remained hidden, although without the use of spells, plotting how he would interfere with the looming sword fight. He gripped his sword, deciding to step in to the advantage of the weaker fighter, but he still stayed hidden waiting for the actual fight. (If there will be one)
OOC: why should only the female characters get to 'sense' things?
Telina, with Jadier and Brianna, in a cave.
"So, I guess we should have something to eat", she said...trying to bring up a subject...this assassins, and would be rescuers and what ever, was really tiring her...and her hands was almost shaking with fear and anger...not to mention tireness, as she tried to ligth a fire, so the could roast the turkey Telina had brought with her in her bag.
After a couple of hours, the meal was ready... some slices of turkey, a couple loaves of bread, and somer herbs/vegetables.
OOC: DarkHubter, I'm not trying to argue with you or something...but I do think your character is a bit too uber sometimes...considering he is a thief...just my op.
The fool may have been Lord Jadier's son, but he was Far more foolish. "En Guard" the man had yelled taking his first chop. Arygon made no such proclomation in his attack, and stabbed at the man twice with his 2nd glass dagger, as his first was still with the 'Deagan' fellow. The Lord's son was surprised, prehaps his training had all been with proper... edict, in fighting, with called attacks and the such. Arygon dived back to the second fellow who had taken orders from Jadiers son, which meant he was a lesser Lord or a servant. Arygon hoped to be able to take him hostage before Jadier's son caught him, and cut him in half with that long sword he was wielding quite like a sabre.
OOC: WAS a thief.. in the beginning, now he has 70 some odd shortsword skill, some mysticism, full Illusion, full Acrobatic,... you get the point... if you want me to down trod him... sure I'll take away every enchatment, and Some of his extra weapons.
Flint Ironwood, in Agnar's place.
After stealing a good meal, Flint decided it was time to leave before he got into more trouble. He sneaked out of the door and headed back into the storm.
,,Now which way was the town?" He muttered and realized he was lost.
,,Oh, this is just great. I guess I'm better of trying to find some shelter from the damn snow." With those thoughts in mind, Flint made his way through the storm, barely seeing anything.
(Now the little guy is ready to bump into anyone.)
Penne
Penne's camp
(OOC: I just remember channler's character can't move)
Penne lined the arrow up in the bow, and released it, letting it sail for the Tusked Bristleback that strud by itself in the distance. He saw the arrow pierce hard through the beast's skull, and the beast twisted back.
"Thank you for serving us your body, beast, I wish you well on your journey," Penne whispered as he dragged the creature back to came, and returned the imperial's quiver. Having bled it on the way back Penne went on to skin it, and laid the skin down next to the fire to dry, then he started cleaning out the skull. When that was finished, her cut out as much of the meat as he could, and let it sit while sharpening the bones. he finished his task by stabbing the meat into the bones and sticking them into the fire.
With meat cooking, he used the skin as a blanket for the Imperial, and went on to start eating some of the meat. "When you're strong enough to move, grab some for yourself."
Arygon, decided not to try anything to enrage this Nordic Lord's son, only an absolute fool did that. Arygon, on a split second descion, activated his Left glove and Recalled to his nearby cave.
Sadril; Gorrmund's Camp, Fire, Dueling Grounds, Etc.
As the uneventful fight ended with the challenger running away, Sadril decided to emerge and reveal himself. His figure appeared in the slowing (hope you don't mind) snow storm as one covered in dark clothes and a katana at his side. His steps were silent and his movement steady and unwavering. But as he got close to the fire, a seemingly friendly face could be made out from underneath a hood.
Sadril smiled (though not revealing his teeth) at Gorrmund and removed his hood, "Having some fun are we, Gorrmund, son of Jadier? There's more to come," he finished, taking a seat by the fire and making himself at home --er-- at camp. Why not have some fun with these 'lords'?
Flint Ironwood, somewhere in the storm.
Flint was now getting rather cold as well as angry with himself.
In the end he got fed up with it all and cast a detect life spell.
,,Yup, there are a bunch of people over there. They might help a lonely traveller who is lost and in need of a good old fire. A campfire, not a fireball." He laughed at his own joke and moved closer towards the people.
Now according to his detection spell, there were two standing close to each other with one on the ground and another pair moving around each other. Then, there was someone behind the bushes. Flint wasn't really worried about that, he would just keep an eye out and be fine.
When he got closer, he could finally see the people.
,,Well, well. I just can't leave you alone for five seconds before you start having your fun with people, Arygon. So, did I miss something?" The Breton said with a smile.
Just after he'd said that, Arygon fled in a whirl of Magicka.
,,Well, that's that. Mind if I join the fire?"
(Please tell me if I missed anything there. Or else Flint just didn't notice whoever I missed.)
Arygon, had a stomache wrenching moment, landed in his cave and hoped nothing had happened to Flint, the poor boy had showed up just as Arygon had left, Arygon threw his Bonemeld bow into a pile, and picked up a Dwemer Crossbow, he was going to need firepower...
OOC: Flint's screwed...
Shotgun's going to eat him
Rahvin, Near Jadier's cave
Rahvin looked ahead to the cave, and to the tracks. "I'm sure that they went in there."
He shrugged. "Now's as good a time as any."
He crouched and drew a dagger. "Don't screw things up this time." he said with a glare to Esethir.
Jadier, Cave
Jadier nodded to Brianna's warning. "We may as well stand and fight here." he said, readying the short sword he stole from Agnar's room.
"You have to promise me something, though." he said.
Arygon, moved as fast as he could, out of his cave. He saw the snowy tracks, and ran after them. He made it nearly to Agnar's Manor when a second set of tracks, a pair of extra actually, started up. He knew what that meant, Deagan and Rahvine had caught up with Jadier. He continued running until dark figures came into view, Arygon figured it was Rahvine or Deagan. He stopped and watched as they entered the side of a cliff, a cave Arygon figured, he ran to get to the entrance, so he could hear what was going on...
Jadier, Cave
"Promise me that if things turn ugly, you'll run." he answered, looking into her eyes.
He hated Agnar, not for wanting revenge, but for sending assassins. Why couldn't he do it the honorable way and challenge him to a duel?
Arygon sitting just off to the side of where the assassins were sitting, wondered what they were waiting for, when Lord Agnar showed up. Arygon flinched back, and stepped deeper into the shadows, as not to be seen.
OOC: Sry if someones actually controlling Agnar...
OOC: Thankee.
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
Ranes caught sight of the teeth and grew more suspicious. Either the man was also a vampire, or just was unfortunate enough to have longer canine teeth than most people.
He was, at least, proving to be cooperative thus far, and Ranes relaxed some.
"I am Ranes," he replied. "Tell me more, then."
Agnor turned after talking to his assassins, Arygon felt happy that the Lord ahd left, it would probably mean that the assassination would happen soon... but wait, Brianna and Telina... Arygon decided that even if he dearly wanted to kill Jadier the women were off limits to the assassins.
OOC: There the assassins didn't move... I wanted Agnor to stop by to talk to the assassins... you know make sure their going to do it right...
I caught on to what Brianna's saying there
you naughty girl
OOC: Again, you're taking too many liberties with other characters; the assassins haven't moved towards the cave at all. And it would've been way easier just to have edited agnar out.
Jadier
"Thank you." he said, returning the embrace. "Now let's show thesee bastardes what they're up against."
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
Ranes smirked, walking towards the Vampire. "Obviously, in your years of Undeath, you have never met one born under the sign of the Ritual, have you?" he asked. He extended his hand, palm facing Sadril.
"Those born under the sign of the Ritual have the powers "Mara's Gift", "Blessed Touch", and "Blessed Word". With either of the "Blessed" gifts I can send you running in wild terror, for they turn the undead."
"I can assure you, I more than have the ability to kill you. I've killed many different vampires from different clans. Yekef, Telboth, Keerlith, Bonsamu, Aundae, Quarra, Montalion, Berne..."
"You might be a challenge, maybe a epic battle. But I'll win, I assure you." Ranes grinned.
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
Ranes shook his head, turned and placing his hand on Sadril. "Back, you abomination!" he shouted as the Blessed Touch activated. The overwhelming urge to flee began to flood Sadril's body as the power was used. As the gift took effect, Ranes backed away, unsheathing his claymore.
"Even if I couldn't kill you, I can still kick your boat," he replied.
OOC: Nah, its fine. Turn Undead only works up to certain levels in OB (IE, Turn undead of level X and below for blah blah blah..) so I kinda went with a more powerful version of OB's one (being they're one-use per day and all).
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
"Just demonstrating to you that you're not as all powerful as you think," Ranes replied. The Dunmer then leapt foreward, with surprising speed for one so heavily armored and swung his elven claymore at Sadril. The blade glew with the faint red of a destruction enchantment, a fire one. Even if Sadril's Dark Elven heritage meant his vampirism only decreased his inherent fire resistance, rather than make him vulnerable to fire, it still looked like it would hurt.
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
Ranes' Mouth moved in a silent curse as he felt the spell's power. Keeping his nerve he threw his strength into forcing Sadril's Katana back. Claymores weren't fast, but they were heavy, and less prone to breaking under pressure. Of course, ranes was begining he could still cast spells now. A disintigrate weapon spell would have been handy here.
Ranes, Gorrmund's Camp
Ranes leapt back, breaking the weapon lock. He had realized what Sadril was attempting, and had opted to break the lock rather than let Sadril force him into the fire. Not that'd it would have done much. Fire hurt him far less than it would Sadril, or any non-Dunmer. He yelled something, which of course came out silently but had looked like a curse of some kind, and swung again at Sadril, this time sweeping the blade horizontally.
Gorrmund had been watching the fight peacefully and was impressed by the outcome, but due to the honours of the fighters he dared not intervine. Even humanoid deformations, reanimations and intelligent monsters had their right to an honourable fight. But when the Vampire duelist dissapeared and his voice ecoed between locations, he was struck with terror. The world seemed to have sped up, and he was living in the past. As if this was not just a way to scare him, but an absolute eventuality. He started sweating as his usually well hidden paronanoia reared its ugly face. Is that beast speaking the truth? If he is, do I have any chance to save him? Was he too late? Would these people come with him? Who were these people? How could he possibly trust them? Did they know his father? Did they know the Vampire? It certainly knew them. Was it spying on them? Before he could possibly think rationaly and inspect the situation, he found his mouth open and his sword unsheathed. "If you wish to help my father, follow me. If you won't come because you are a criminal, I will see many of your crimes pardoned. If you simply won't come, run away. Very, very, very fast" he didn't know if his terror caused him to stutter, because he simply couldn't remember.
Penne
Camp
Penne gave a broad smile, "Nice to meet you Aaron, my name's Penne."
Penne finished his bones and jabbed a piece of meat on it then stuck it back into the fire before going for one of the cooked ones. "By the way, this may seem odd, but could you tell me where in Skyrim we are? I mean, I think I saw Pale Pass on the way over here but I'm not positive."
Thiras, Near the fire
Thiras nodded and stood up, breathing a sigh of relief.
"I'll come simply because I haven't got anything more timeworthy to do, the pardons won't do me any good, I'll just have to go right back to thievin' afterwards." He picked up his sword and sheathed it.
"In all truthfullness, I may be related to some lord somewhere I think, Lord something - er, I can't remember who it was exactly, generations back, says mother, well thats questionable but I suppose . . ." and he blabbered on.
Telina with Jadier and Brianna.
Telina watched as the couple embraced eachother...so Jadier wanted them to leave, and Brianna wanted Telina to be safe. The two of people that Telina put higher than everything else in this world, was it looked going to die, she just couldn't let that happen.
She rummaged through her sack...only two healing potions, one potion for restoring magicka and fatigue...but hey, this was interesting. At the bottom of her sack, there was five scrols of Taldams Schorcher...a VERY good fire damage scroll, she tossed the health and restore magicka potions to Brianna, while she gave her three of the scrolls.
"Ok, I'll go out and check if it's safe...I'll whistle like an owl if it's safe", she told Brianna and Jadier.
She redyed her bow.
Flint Ironwood, near Gormund's fire
Flint cursed under his breath. Now that vampire had been quite impressive. Flint had just decided to take out his Katana and give it a telekinetic blast when the damn thing fled.
He also heard Gorrmund's offer.
,,If you have crimes that need to be pardoned, you're an amateur. Flint Ironwood, at your service. Payment is welcome, but I decided to do this anyway, so we'll discuss payment when this is all over. Till then, I work for free. Now where the heck did this Jadier fellow run to anyway?" Flint said.
He opted to use another detect life spell. He couldn't detect the vampire, which was rather scary, but he did notice a group of people at the edge of his view.
,,There are people over there. Might want to take a look." Flint said and pointed into the distance.
Arygon leaned back behind a tree, and lit up his pipe. It had always been a source of comfort to smoke his pipe in the morning, it took his mind off things that had happened the night before. The early morning sun was coming up over the trees, making the snow glisten just so. It reminded him of the years he had spent in Morrowind, he glanced over his shoulder to make sure the assassins hadn't noticed his pipe smoke, they hadn't. In fact they were still sitting in nearly the same spot as they were for the previous 3 or 4 hours. Arygon sat back to watch the dawning sun.
Telina, with Brianna.
Telina, had just walked a little down the road, when Brianna came.
Silently they snuck along the road, while trying to listen to all the sounds around them.
If something happened to Brianna, Telina would never forgive herself.
Ranes, Gorrmund's crowded Camp (
)
Ranes watched the Vampire vanish and decided to let him go. The beast didn't seem like it was going to come back and stab him while he was sleeping or some other underhanded trick. He seemed too interested in fighting him. He turned to ther newest newcommer, and stared at him.
"Well, Mr. Ironwood, it can wait for a few moments. We still need to get sorted out here. No need looking for more trouble unorganized as we currently are..."
Brianna with Telina outside a bit away from the cave
"Telina, I sense them coming now....we gotta hide somewhere....I owe Jadier to stay alive....for the sake of his unborn child......do you see anywhere we could hide?"
Brianna was looking around..there was nowhere they could find a hideout..or were there?
Brianna, with Telina
"Yes Telina, Iīm having Jadierīs child....but itīs ok, Iīm just six weeks gone"
She followed the younger girl up the hill, trying not to think of her beloved one in the cave....
Flint Ironwood, Gorrmund's camp
,,Sure, take your time." Flint said and then impatiently began to pace back and forth while the others were busy getting organized. At least the constant pacing kept him warm and the storm was finally beginning to calm down. Just a bit more, and it would be safe for jumping again.
A short glance with his detection spell showed that one person out of a group of three had left the other two, or maybe the other way around. Flint just had this feeling that there was trouble to be found over there.
,,Hurry up, you guys." He whispered.
Flint took out his katana and checked its charges as usual. He'd pressed his blade rather hard lately, and the sword was still nearly devoid of charges. If it came to a fight, he should try to use the blade itself instead of just hurling Telekinetic blasts for a change.
Arygon watched the women run up the hill, the assassins looked back and forth decided to kill Jadier or the women first. Arygon ran after the womn to make sure that if the assassins attacked the women, then they would have chose the wrong target if they wanted to survive.
OOC: less strong, still arrogant
Brianna in the woods
She was crouching in the small hideout with Telina, just waiting, not knowing of what exactly. It was rather chilly and soon she couldnīt feel her feet anymore.....
Brianna felt more and more sleepy......her eyelids dropped....
Telina in the woods
Telina, watched carefully out over the valley...an uneasy feeling came over her...Someone watched us coming here, we need to move now
"Brianna, hurry, we must move...I think someone know where we are...drink this, it's a feather potion, and it will prevent us from leaving marks in the ground", she wishpered...and then downed the entire potion, slowly walking in a manner that would prevent her from being seen by anyone...sake for Brianna.
OOC: Ah, safe...no one knows where we are now...
Penne
Camp
"Well, then the next question is, do you know where you want to go?" asked Penne. He continued chewing on the meat. It tasted foul. The was a very light snow in the are now, as though the heavier clouds passed, and sunshine was on the way.
Arygon followed the footprints along, hoping to catch up with the women. So that it would be easier to watch to see if anything attacked them. Unfortunatly, the footprints ended and there was a bottle off to the side, probably a feather, levitation, or another form of transportation, Arygon was miffed that once again he started with good intentions, and they had run away from him. He walked in the general dircrection that the footprints were going.
OOC: He's going to get lost
Penne
Camp
"Oh... yes, well, yes but... well nevermind, yes you can, yes," said Penne, caught off guard a little. "I mean, I suppose you could be of help, people around here definitely look down on bosmer, and until I resupply my potion collection and quiver I'm afraid I'm pretty defenseless. Speaking of which, I believe there are three native trees around here that with their leaves combined make a pretty strong potion of paralysis, which I need for my arrows so keep your eye out."
Flint Ironwood, Gorrmund's camp.
Flint was getting increasingly impatient. In the end he couldn't handle it anymore.
,,Alright, I'm going to take a look. I'll be right back." He said. He then cast his favourite traveling spell and soared up into the air with a giant leap. If he had aimed his jump right, which he usually did, he should land quite close to where those people he'd detected with his detection spell had been.
(Flint is coming to the rescue! Unfortunaetly, it will be too late for Jadier.)
Arygon wandered forward looking for resuming trails, footprints, anything! Arygon looked up at the trees, covered with snow, and got an idea. He climbed the tree, and hopped from branch to branch, made it to the top, blanced carefully, and looked out above the trees. He could see hills in the distance. He could also see some boulders shaped properly for spending time under without being exposed to the weather. He hopped from his tree to the next and went in the same direction he had been going but this time with the view of being an extra 20 feet in the air. He would see them soon enough.
Arygon hopped from tree to tree, but he was still unable to find them, prehaps thier under something Arygon thought to himself. He jumped to a lower branch, looked around, and seeing nowhere to hide in the area, he climbed back up. Arygon was wondering quite a bit, How did they get away so fast?
Flint Ironwood, nearing Jadier's cave.
As Flint's jump approached its end, he prepared for the landing while looking around. He could see a cave not too far away and there were two people standing outside, weapons drawn.
,,Well, lookie here. They're the assassins. Knowing the damn pride of these Nords, I bet that Jadier has told those women to leave while he remained behind to fight. Now I'm sorry, but I will have to spoil the party." Flint muttered as he cast both an invisibility and feather spell. Softly, he landed at the entrance of the cave without leaving a sound or a dent in the snow. He hopped inside and crept in deeper.
"I hope that fool is still alive. It was stupid to just run away."
(Ok, Flint will arrive just in time to see Jadier die. He won't interrupt the fight or anything. Does Jadier have a trinket Flint can take to Gorrmund, like a ring that shows he is the lord?)
Deagan, Inner Cave
Deagan shrugged and stepped forward giving out a sharp stab toward Jadier intending to miss him.
"I suppose...nothin' personal..." Deagan said with a quick stab
For a few minutes he played with the lord, his death shouldn't be completely predictable...when he least expected it he would actually launch his attack.
He continued to step in and out of range of Jadier's blade throwing the occasional blow in and still circling the entire time. Deagan intentionally released attacks that Jadier would be able to stop in order to appear inexperienced until the moment he was ready to finish.
Deagan swung over his head quickly and then stepped back out of range, he grew bored and impatient with playing with Jadier so he began to actually try to hit the lord.
He moved in extremely close and used his body to push Jadier back toward the cave wall, trying to hold the lord's arm to keep him from stabbing him.
OOC: Your move.
Jadier
Deagan had succeeded in pinning his arm down, and Jadier could no longer grip his sword. It fell loudly to the ground, out of his reach.
Seeing no other alternative, he kneed the assassin in the groin to push him away and dove for his sword, but it was still too far away....
Deagan, Cave
That filthy little...
Deagan held his groin and dropped his sword, he stumbled to where Jadier had landed after diving for his blade, he put his foot on his back and held him to the floor. He stepped a few more feet and kicked the sword further away before grabbing Jadier and drawing back as far as he could, punching him repeatedly in the face.
"Now that...wasn't...very nice..."Deagan said between punches
He reached for his boot and drew his dagger, slowly bringing it down toward Jadier in an attempt to stab him.
OOC: Since he's not really your character and he's meant to die I hope you didn't mind me beating him a little bit without permission.
Jadier
Jadier could do nothing to stop the approaching dagger, and he quickly accepted his fate. In one last attempt at defiance, he spat in Deagan's face before being stabbed. His body stiffened in death...
OOC: Hooray! He's dead!
Flint Ironwood, Jadier's cave.
Flint arrived just in time to see it happen.
,,Damn!" He spoke out loud which naturally got Deagan's attention.
,,Alright, pal. Rule number 1: Don't hire people who hate assassinations." The Breton said as he drew his katana and his dagger. He did not intend to kill anyone, but with a bit of luck he could at least scare Deagan away from the corpse.
(Sorry, but you can't just walk away.
)
Telina with Brianna.
The had been sneaking around for sometime, when something terrible struck down in Telina, a feeling of Jadier being dead, she had to find out.
"Brianna, hurry, we must get back", she shouted, and without waiting for her, she ran as fast as she could towards the cave...unfortunately, when she was a couple of yeards away from the entrance, she slipped, fell and then blackness consumed her...
OOC: Bit hurt, could need some medical attention
Deagan, Cave
"Just business..." Deagan said as he slowly and painfully sunk the dagger into Jadier's chest
He covered Jadier's mouth and slowly withdrew the dagger as Jadier died.
Deagan took a knee beside the corpse, wiped the sweat and spit from his face, and sat his dagger down beside him as he searched the body, finding nothing worth much value. He bent down and closed Jadier's eyes with his fingers in respect of his victim.
He wiped the blood from his dagger, placed it in his boot, and stood from the corpse. Deagan picked up his blade when he heard someone yell near the entrance to the part of the cavern he was in. A man emerged and began speaking to him so he spoke back.
"I had really hoped for this to happen without witnesses...I'm tired...but if you wish then I will fight you..." Deagan said slowly stepping closer to the man in case he decided not to let him pass
Deagan calmly walked toward the entrance, if this man tried to stop him then there would be trouble.
OOC: You wanting to fight Jack?
Arygon, was up in a tree when he heard Telina speak, he looked down from the tree. There were the two women, Telina had evidently just tripped. Arygon stayed in his tree keeping careful watch over them.
OOC: no reason to let them know that Arygon is near
Flint Ironwood, Jadier's cave.
Flint watched Deagan carefully. He patiently waited for the man to make his first move.
,,I promised myself I would protect him. Now that I've failed, I will at least make sure that he will be properly buried by the people who loved him. And if you stand in my way, I may forget about my no-killing policy for once." The Breton said as he went into a defensive stance.
(Your choice, Kiln. You can walk away without a problem or get into a fight.)
Arygon slid down his tree, after seeing Brianna collapsing, and walked over to the both of them. He waved his hand in front of thier faces, spoke, and poked them. When none of this worked he checked the cave that they were near, he looked in, Jadier was dead on the floor, and Filnt and Deagan were standing each with a dagger in hand. Arygon walked back over to the ladies, lifted one over each shoulder, and walked away from the coming fight.
Brianna, on Arygonīs shoulder
She woke up...the world was jumping up and down...she was ...CARRIED by...someone!
"Let me down!" she shouted, kicking the manīs back ferosciously, "You bastarde, let me down I tell you!!"
She kicked even harder....the man groaned but didnīt let go of her...
OOC: Poor Arygon..always misunderstood!
Telina, Arygons shoulder
Telina, woke up by the sound of Brianna screaming, and kicking...suddenly the man who was carrying them, dropped them both...probably since Brianna had kicked him in a place not too good to be kicked in.
Telina, saw the face of Brianna...the sorrow in it was painful just to watch, and she tried to comfort Brianna.
The attempt to calm her, ended with Telin, suddenly vomiing, and then sinking to the ground again...probably beacuse the hit she had gotten in the head, as well the grief of her almost father getting killed....if just Gorrmund was here...
Brianna, on the ground again, beside Telina
For a short moment Brianna suppressed the sorrow about Jadier, as she noticed Telina didnīt feel well at all, her head was by no means totally recovered!
"Tel......there now, let me help you"
She held her as she vomited and wiped her face with a corner of her shirt, then she took the youinger girl in her arms....just held her..
"Telina" Brianna said, "We just have each other now, at least until we find Gorrmund, so letīs try to endure this, shall we? We must get away somehow, we must find Gorrmund!" Her voice was merely a whisper, she didnīt want the strange man to hear her!
Telina, in Brianna's arms
Telina listened as the voice of Brianna came to her, and felkt that she relaxed a bit, and she opned her eyes again, some tears emnated from them, and ran down her cheeks.
"Brianna, I'm-I'm just so...I dont know what to do...I cant consentrate, and I'm afraid, just...please dont leave me", she sobbed, and now the tears was really flowing.
OOC: She is a bit sensitive sometimes...
Rahvin
Rahvin (And Esethir, should Konrad decide to follow) had been at a loss as to which way to go when one woman fell and the other ran back towards the cave...
He had followed the one that went to the cave, only to watch her fall unconscious. He had been about to move towards her, but a strange man came and pick her up.
Instead of following, he turned his attention to the cave, where Flint and Deagan stood, seemingly about to fight.
He stepped in after listening to the exchange of words between them.
"Flint, it's three against one here." he said. "Deagan and I are here, and his altmer friend is ready to come out if necessary. You can either leave now, or join Jadier in the afterlife."
Arygon, was too buzy feeling the pain in his... spotted owl... to notice any conversation between the women. Why would she have done that? Oh, right, he was carrying them over his shoulders... Arygon stood, as best he could, and looked at the two sobbing women, well it gave him a chance to recover from that kick. He ooked at them, well at least they hadn't noticed it was him yet, they'd probably run away again...
Flint Ironwood, in Jadier's cave and big trouble.
Flint cursed under his breath. Just brilliant.
"Alright, then I suppose I'll have to get reinforcements." He thought.
,,Come and get me!" He shouted.
He then launched a telekinetic blast from his katana at Deagan while spinning around and swinging his dagger at Rahvin. He then ran past Rahvin back to the entrance of the cave.
(Alright, the dagger is enchanted with a drain fatigue spell in case you want to know. Also, he wants to get back to Gorrmund and company and use them as reinforcements.)
Arygon sat there watching the women sat there and care for each other. He was used to it, to say the least, only one woman had ever given him respect, and that was only becuase he could down more flin than anyone. He watched Brianna crawl over to the cave enterance, he decided to intervene there. He pulled her back "You don't want to do that, Flint is going to lose and thier going to come out right there." He said as he pulled her away from the door.
" A few people have said that I don't know when to quit... the last was Vivic, he didn't think I could kill him." Arygon replied to her. The stare he got from her could have burned through him, if it was Magicka. Fortunatly it was only rage, Arygon had often dealt with angry women, but usually had the choice of killing them. Telina was breathing lighter now, sleeping soundly proped against a boulder. Well, he had to move them somehow, he decided on the easiest way. He grabbed Telina and Brianna's hand, and activated his Recall Glove. A phase of Golden- Yellow light later, they landed in a pile in his cave.
OOC: If you want girls I can change this. (not on emotional bases tho)
Deagan, Cave
Deagan simply stepped from the path of the magical projectile and moved towards Rahvin after the third man left the caves.
Well at least I didn't have to deal with him...
"I could have handled that...and I got Jadier." Deagan said as he sheathed his blade and tightened the gloves on his hands
He stepped from the entrance of the cave and wiped his face with his sleeve before seeing a bright golden flash a few feet away in the bushes. He peered in that direction before shaking his head and looking back to Rahvin.
"Were you able to find the others?" Deagan asked
Gorrmund had been struck with a strange feeling as he walked around the forrest, and became quite unaware of anything. His vision became narrowed, looking with a very small field of vision, and his balance seemed completely gone. He walked around the forrest feeling completely disconected from anything in Skyrim, as if his body and mind were walking in different directions. He thought that people were following him, which may or may not have been dillusion, and he started losing focus on his goal. What was he doing? His obscure goal. What was his goal? Getting to where he was going. Where was he going? To the conclusion point of his goal.
Seeing, or maybe feeling a cave, Gorrmund ran over to the "shelter". He didn't make it too far on his feet, as he tripped face down on the ground.
Deagan, Outside the Cave
Who the hell???
Deagan turned slowly toward the voice of the unexpected man and listened to what he had to say.
I screwed up? I did what I was supposed to do...what is this guy on about?
"Agnar sent you eh? Tell me, how was his dog? Was it feeling any better?" Deagan asked in a calm voice
Deagan stood there waiting for a reply, the answer would effect the outcome of the conversation. In truth, Agnar had no dog and if this new man tried to tell him about it he would know that his story was a lie.
Rahvin
Rahvin saw what Deagan was trying to do, but didn't see the point; the man was obviously willing to help. Something was odd about this person in front of him, and he couldn't tell what it was, but it made him seem very powerful.
Still, though, he pulled a dagger half way out of his sleeve. Just in case.
"I don't see how he screwed up too badly; there's a body back there, after all." he looked at the strange man in front of him before his eyes wandered off into the distance behind him.
Who was that?
"I think we should make ourselves scarce; someone just fell on their face in the snow out there, and I don't want to be blamed for a murder when he gets up."
After what seemed like years, or maybe seconds, Gorrmund climbed out of his darkness. Pushing himself off the ground and picking up his sword (which he hadn't known he had brought with him in his raging trudge through the forrest), he stood on two feet. He thought over the situation, and realized he knew more than what should be possible. He felt like his father had died ages ago. Faint echoes in darkness that cound only cause a slight rememberance of deep wounds. He felt no emotion, no anger or sadness, no though of vengeance. Just, loss and darkness.
A single name ran through his head, hitting him hard along with a headache suddenly developing. Telina. "She can help" he thought.
Flint Ironwood, Jadier's cave.
Flint had already activated his invisibility spell before he made it outside. He quickly jumped from one rock to another till he was above the entrance were no one could see him. He'd also left no traces during his climb. The perfect place for an ambush. He silently waited.
To his surprise, Gorrmund came running over and collapsed not too far from the Breton's hideout. Fortunately, the man soon got up again.
"Damn. I can't let those freaks kill him. I'll wait here and the moment they try to jump him, I'll jump them. Ambush the ambush." The Breton thought and smiled behind his mask.
Arygon tried to stand but Telina, still sleeping, was on top of him and below him was Brinanna. Not that it mattered, it was an awful twisting of arms and legs. Arygon managed to lift Telina up, then he rolled off to the side, leaving the two women in a pile. He lifted Telina off of Brianna and carried her over to a nearby Hammock, went back over to Brianna and lifted her into the other hammock. Arygon thought to himself, I forgot to leave a bed for myself. He went to his pile of things laying around, found a pillow, and layed down on the staircase, that led up to the landing with the hammocks.
Brianna, Arygonīs cave
She woke up, not knowing where she was and what really happened
"Telina, where are you? Ahhh there....hmmm my head hurts, must be from a spell, but who put a spell on us?...Ahhh that man again! Talking about stubborn men! What the heck does he really want from us?"
Brianna mourned and shut her eyes.....that man surely had some explanation to come up with......
Deagan, Wilderness
Deagan stood silently examining Sadril (though Deagan doesn't know his name) as he dodged behind a tree. Deagan didn't move an inch when he heard the noise, instead he examined the woods around him carefully watching for anyone that might interrupt their conversation.
Well he's easily startled...something falls in the woods and he hides...
"You're right, lets get out of here..." Deagan said
He moved his hand to the hilt of his sword in case someone attacked them.
"and a little more help couldn't hurt." He added as he looked to Sadril
I'm not gonna stay around here and catch the heat on this one...I'm out of here...
Deagan started cautiously walking off into the wilderness, unsure of where he was headed.
Arygon woke up, about 3 hours later, and wandered his cave. He realised that he was hungry, and the women would be when they woke up. He glanced at them, making sure they were still there, and went into his stores of food. He found some Scrib Jerky left over from his journey from Morrowind, some scrib jelly, bread, and a bottle of Vintage Brandy. Arygon lit a small fire in the ashes of his previous ones, toasted the bread. Then he dug out some plates, found some cups, and set up a meal for the women on the table at the far end of the platform. Arygon then left the platfrom, took off his armour, glancing at the gash in the side of his Chest plate, he then jumped into the water and started swimming. Had to keep in shape, else he'd get lazy and would probably get killed by the first assassin who found them...
Gorrmund felt a sharp, stinging pain in his head that overpowered his now splitting headache. He tried to stand and calm himself, but this mystery pain was too much for him. He crawled in the snow, half concious, trying to escape the phantom wound, but it did not depart. Darkness overcame him.
He woke up standing, surrounded by snow, trees and fear. Under him lay a road, which seemed to have simply appeared. Unable to wrap his head around his situation, Gorrmund started walking. The road felt farmilliar, as did the crossroad that it lead too, but nothing seemed tight at the time. He drew his Claymore and remembered slight moments of the past. He fell to the ground in exhaustion, and after what was probably thirty minutes, climbed to his feet. In a stuporous state of mind, he walked towards the brightest star in the sky. That was all that he remembered, excluding everything that happened before he saw the cave.
"Telina" the name was screamed through him. He felt like he was on the right track towards her, but that he got there going the wrong way.
Flint Ironwood, wherever Gorrmund is.
Flint watched how the Nord stumbled around like a drunk. He felt like he was being ripped apart between two conflicting loyalties. Should he guard over Gorrmund who clearly was in no condition to defend himself, or should he wait in the hope of getting Jadier's body from the assassins? The Breton thought for a while and concluded that Jadier would have preferred him to watch over Gorrmund.
Flint followed Gorrmund while making sure he remained invisible and left no traces. The same couldn't be said of Gorrmund though and Flint cursed the man in frustration. The assassins would have no problems if they tried to follow the man and Flint knew that he couldn't handle all of them.
,,These promises are going to get me killed someday." He whispered to himself. Flint was convinced that that day might be quite close.
(Alright, Gorrmund has a sneaky bodyguard.)
Arygon thought, as he tried some diving, the women were related, or loved Jadier, which meant Gormmund would be coming for them sooner or later. Gormmund and him hadn't gotten along very well the first time they met, and with the women in his cave, Gormmund would probably try to kill him... again. Arygon finished diving, climbed up on the oppisite bank of the pond, and was drying off, when he was reminded that he was in Skyrim, a blast of chilling cold wind blew through the cavern, he shivered. Then dived back into the water, he swam across and saw Brianna sitting on the bank, along with his clothes and armour. He climbed up, "Good Morning Brianna." Arygon said as he pulled his armour on, "if you would come with me we can find some more suitable clothing for you." He lead Brianna to piles of nobles, robes, skirts, shirts, and pants. "When you're done crawl thorugh the hole thats over there" Arygon pointed to the hole he was talking about, it was just below the platform the women had been sleeping on. Arygon entered the hole, climbed the corresponding staircase, and exited a trapdoor. He looked from his obervatory, high in the mountian, and saw the snow covered trees, the road, and very distantly Agnor's Manor. He enjoyed the view awhile longer, leaned against the railing and waited for Brianna...
OOC: Sure is
Telina, Arygons cave...
Telina heard the sound of Briannas voice, coming through the darkness, and then she sat herself upright...
"What, where are we...what happened"...at least she felt better though, and the wound on her forehead was a bit smaller now.
OOC: Gorrmund is coming...
:D
Arygon was leaning on his observatory railing when he realised, that he hadn't woken Telina, that and he didn't want to have to explain twice. He climbed down, and saw Brianna trying to wake a sleepy Telina. He decided to save them both some time. Arygon climbed the stairs to the clothing pile, chose the more 'feminine' things, carried them down, a great many of them there was too, and dropped them by Brianna. Arygon then tossed his armour aside, dived off the end of the platform and resumed his interupted swim.
Forrest in near skyrim
"hmm... thats fine, i could use the help. What with all the bandits here" Juliano smiled as he shaked the mixed elf's hand. He had sheathed his heavy blade as he collected the bandit's knives.
Juliano mounted apolllo and readied him self for the next few hours of traveling. As he had finished his preperations, he eyed Galadaile as he stood; and said "Hey! arent you getting on?" He smiled "it'tle be quite a way to falcreath if i wait for you to catch up!" He said playfuly.
Skoll Yggdrasil
Somewhere, not far from Jadier's Cave
Skoll and Fenrir made they're way through the deep snow like it was a road. Skoll had lived out in the wilds for so long that snow to his knees nearly didn't slow his speed at all. The trees got tighter as he continued wandering.
Then Fenrir caught the scent of something, Skoll could tell. Scent of either creature or man, Skoll let Fenrir lead the way through the forest heading from where the scent came from...
(OOC: Fenrir is Skoll's wolf for those who might not know - He's making his way near the location of Arygon. And I'm very sure Minque's character will be dressed when he arrives
)
Arygon climbed out of the pond, shook himself, and went to climb the stairs, when he saw Telina and Brianna getting dressed. Arygon turned, blinked sevral times, and decided he could wait until they were done, but it was cold sitting there in soaked pants, so he ran to the clothing ladder, climbed up, and looked through the clothing for something his style, instead of all the frills. Arygon managed to find Cauis' Pants and Shirt, which were nicely enchanted with chameleon. Arygon pulled them on and glanced out of the clothing 'section.' He had a nice view of the entire place which meant that once again he glimpsed Brianna and Telina, 'Wow' ,he thought to himself, 'They take forever to get dressed...'
OOC: Fuzzy it appears that at the rate thier going they'll never get dressed
Brianna, getting dressed(!)
She looked through the clothes, found a pair of leather-pants that looked very nice, tried them on...yes, excellent....Now then a shirt would be nice, it was a bit cold and she didnīt fancy standing half-naked when that man returned.
The first shirt was too small..she frowned, but of course due to her pregnancy her breasts had grown bigger.....She chose a soft linen-shirt, big and comfortable....then ended it all up with a broad leather-belt.....thatīs it then!
"Telina, are you ready?" Brianna could hear some commotion from outside...someone was coming.....and coming fast...
Thiras, Stalking Gormmund
Thiras followed behind the man whose boot had been in a threatining position above him not too long ago. However, this situation seemed to be getting more and more interesting as time passed.
"Where is he going?" Thiras whispered to himself as he followed behind, as quietly as possible.
(OOC: The last few pages have really confused me, so I'm just tagging along if no one objects.
)
Arygon was finished organizing everything up in the clothing 'section', so he glanced back down at the women to see if they were dressed, yet. As soon as he looked down, Brianna had finished dressing, and Telina was still sifting thorugh the clothes, Arygon watched her for a little then decided not to watch, as Telina was rumored to be able to read your mind, so he went to the very back of the clothing section and dug out his old collection of weapons and armour, prehaps the women would like to arm themselves?
OOC: So, planning on taking some armour, or a trusty foot-and-a-half of steel?
Flint Ironwood, following Gorrmund. (Who isn't?)
Flint noticed someone else following Gorrmund. The man was one of Gorrmund's gang, so Flint decided not to go for a confrontation yet. He could see they were getting close to a cave. Who knew what kind of nasty critters could lie in wait there. The other man had Gorrmund's back covered, so Flint went to his trusty invisibility and ran ahead.
He crawled inside the cave and took a good look. He rounded a corner and immediately turned around again, blushing behind his mask.
"Oops"
Flint sat near the entrance. It was probably best to wait with his entrance till the occupants of the cave had finished their current activity. He wasn't exactly the most civilized Breton, but he still had some sort of decency.
Brianna, Arygonīs cave
"Ok Telins..you ready?" She decided to go outside for a while, and when she rounded the corner she bumped into another man....
"Ohhhh.....you scared me....who might you be?" Brianna smiled when she spoke so the stranger could see she was friendly
"Oh but he must be ..hmm but..I remember him!"
OOC: Nope, no armour for Brianna.....just leather pants, a shirt, maybe a cloak..
Arygon, in the rocks above Flint noticed him right away, put the things he held down, and climbed down slowly as not to make a sound, then landed behind him. Arygon pressed the side of a glass dagger against the back of Flint's neck, "You're dead Flint" Arygon said smiling, "try listening more carefully, I dropped my shoe back there, and thought you'd hear me, ah I see why not. Nice view isn't it?" Arygon asked without a hint of modesty, or anything, except contained glee. Then he noticed Brianna standing just in fornt of Flint "Ummmmmmmm.... hello Brianna"
Flint Ironwood, at the entrance of Arygon's cave.
,,Flint Ironwood, mylady. I apologize, I did not mean to intrude." The Breton said as he stood up. He then pointed at the entrance were the aproaching Gorrmund could be seen in the distance.
,,This man appears to be a friend of lord Jadier. I have taken it upon me to protect him, but I am not quite sure if he knows that. Also I regret to inform you, but the lord walks this land no more. I tried to save his body, but the assassins forced me to withdraw. I am terribly sorry." Flint continued.
If necessary, he could still talk the way he was raised. Being the son of the local crime boss meant that you acted a lot more lordly than the actual lord.
,,I hope I did not startle you. Are you alright? It's been a while since we last met."
Suddenly, Flint could feel the tip of a dagger against his neck.
,,Are you so sure about that, Arygon? I am not deaf." He said before swiping the dagger with his arm while drawing his katana with the other. Not an advisable maneouvre normally, but the glass plating he hid under his clothes made it doable. Flint pointed his katana at Arygon before lowering it to the ground.
,,Nice to see you. Man, you sure get lucky with the ladies. What is your secret trick?" Flint said and laughed.
(Yes, he can talk polite if he has to. Thank Aureus, I got in some practice with the old fellow.)
"The trick is to wait until they can't do anything about it have something to transport the bunch of you, and teleport out, the only bad side to this is you land in a pile." Arygon said, then glanced past Flint at Brianna, just to make sure she wasn't going to slap him for that.
Brianna, entrance of cave, talking to Flint
"Flint Ironwood!! yes! I remember..Lord Jadier used to hold you very high, and I do remember our last meetig, even though it was short......and yes I know heīs past away..killed by those filthy assassins..who think theyīre gonna get away with it!" Brianna took a deep breath, talking about Jadier made tears run down her face, but she succeeded in composing herself rather quickly.
She looked in the direction Flint showed and.....was it really..? yes..it was!
"GORRMUND!....oh itīs Gorrmund......TELINA, hurry, Gorrmund is on his way!" Brianna shouted out loud..then realised it was not a good idea to shout out here....
OOC: oh no she has not put on weight......sheīs only about 2 months gone....
but her breasts are bigger, now that wouldnīt Arygon notice because he doesnīt know how big they were before!
Arygon winced as she shouted, the assassins would've been trailing Flint so they'd be close behind Gormmund... close behind... "Get in here you Fool!" Arygon shouted out at Gormmund, as he said that he began pushing the heavy door into the doorframe, with Flint's help Arygon moved it all of three feet, not fast enough to close it if the assassins' were close behind.
Gorrmund ran towards the cave with his sword pointing the ground. According to one of his sword mastery books, this showed any and all parties you were armed and dangerous, but not an enemy. He reached the door and helped the strangers with the door, as it was the least he could do before he helps his friends and slays the kidnapper.
"I hope you know kidnapping is a crime punishable by death, even by a vigalante. I am a reasonable man, fair and just, and I'll let you show me you're side of the story, but you still abducted two people " Gorrmund was shocked by what he knew about the situation. How could he possibly know about Arygon?
Telina, Arygons cave
Telina jumped down from the hammock, and watched the large pile of clothes at the floor...after a little deciding, she took an exquisite robe, along with an exquicite, shirt, shoes, and pants.
Hearing the commotion from outside her "room"...she picked up her bow, and walked out, and there in the middle of the hallway stood...GORRMUND.
Arygon, once again, was being blamed, for saving someones life. Aryogn stopped pushing, lashed out with a kick aimed for the head, spun for a second kick that was aimed for the knees...
OOC: Red, before you complain, or anything else, notice that I didn't mention touching you at all... just trying to.
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's place
Flint looked at it all. He knew that Arygon wasn't trying to kill the man. And Gorrmund might have had a point, but there was something else. Despite Arygon's attitude, they were safer with him than anywhere else at the moment.
,,Hmm, I should try that one someday. Too bad I don't have a cave to recall to. I am a man of the road." The Breton muttered.
,,look, sir. I know that Arygon might not have been the most polite fellow, but at least he saved them from what might have been a horrible death. There are assassins outside, you know. Arygon, give the man a break, ok?" Flint said in an attempt to diffuse the whole situation. Fighting amongst themselves was the last thing they should do.
,,Now before we all get comfortable here, I suspect we might have been followed or have otherwise drawn attention to ourselves." He looked at Brianna during the last words. ,,So, is there a lookout anywhere in this cave? I hate to get caught with my guard down."
Arygon turned toward Flint, "Over there under the platform, take the tunnel all the way up, to the right the left is trapped with a sliding grate the size of the tunnel, so I don't even know whats up there." Arygon pointed to the corresponding tunnel, and went back to trying to push the stone door closed.
Telina, with Gorrmund Brianna...etc.
"Gorrmund, it's really you"...she flung herself around his neck and kissed him..."I missed you so, I was beginning to get worried", she said and then kissed him again.
OOC: So, when are we going to get the H**l out of that cave?
Skoll Yggdrasil
Somewhere, moving towards Arygon's Cave
Skoll followed Fenrir who was following his nose after picking up a scent of something. Skoll had his bow up and a enchanted arrow ready as he ran after Fenrir.
As the came closer to the scent, Skoll heard someone crying out a name. Skoll stopped and moved stealthy to the snow. He took cover behind a tree quite far away, with his keen eyes and good ears he pointed out the direction and moved closer. As he came behind a huge tree he could see someone in the distant. He could at least point out five people, three men and two women near a cave.
As a wolf he prowled in a circle quite far away from the cave to get a better advantage point and he kept looking at the people. He could both see and hear that something was wrong (refeering to Arygon knowing someone might follow Gorrmund).
Skoll took snow in his mouth so it was very hard to see his breath and went down in his stomach and kept watching, Fenrir lurking not far away.
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's cave
Flint followed Arygon's directions and soon enough found the grate. He knew that their top priority was to stay alive and he needed to go to the lookout, but his curiosity took control. Using all his efforts, he cast a telekinesis spell and pushed the grate out of the way. He then rolled through the opening before the grate sealed it off again.
It was dark on the other side, and Flint couldn't see a thing.
Flint turned around only to notice that the grate was shut and he had no way to open it.
,,Damn, I knew that wasting all my Magicka on that spell was a mistake. Now there is only one thing for me to do. Forward." Flint muttered amidst a couple of colourful curses and crept further into the tunnel with a hand on the wall.
(Alright, Arygon. What's behind the grate?)
Arygon heard the curses of Flint, it seemd that his curiousity got the better if him. Arygon had the key to the grate, but there was a soild Deadric door beyond it so it was useless to him. Well, he had to save Flint, so Arygon left the door. Walked over to the tunnel, climbed up to the grate, inserted the key and opened the grate, "So Flint decided to find out what up here? I told you there wasn't anything to find, really."
OOC: Deadric wall, that all that's up there. So...
Telina: Were probably going to take the back entrance since were closing the one we're at, the crossroads both lead to the cave entrances...
Flint Ironwood, feeling very stupid.
,,Sorry, must have been the after effect of the alcohol I drunk back in town. I've been too busy to get a decent hangover. Thanks for the help. Next time we get past a tavern, I'll steal the drinks for everyone." The Breton muttered and ascended to the lookout. He made himself comfortable with his katana in his lap.
Arygon looked at the man and blinked, it seemed that stupidity was at an all time high these last few days. "Think about it Gormmund, if the three of us have this much trouble closing the door, then they will have a much harder time opening it." Arygon said " And stop being angry at me for ... Jadier's death, it ain't my fault. Besides that you're angry at me for saving your, and your fathers, lovers. Gimme some credit here."
OOC: Damn thats rude... I should have shut Gormmund out... Wait.... Telina and Brianna would've killed me for that...
Brianna, Arygonīs cave
"Hello Gorrmund!" Brianna smiled when she noticed the affection between Telina and Gorrmund. "Iīm afraid Jadier is dead, but I reckon you know already. Now his main concern was that no harm should be made to you.Jadier did one major mistake...and for that he had paid it+s price...his own life! Now if I would allow myself to think closely about this I would probably break down to pieces. WQe have to concentrate on your safety....because now YOU are first on the list"
Brianna turned to Arygon;
"Arygon, Iīm sorry Iīve misjudged you.......Telina and I owe you our lives.....if Jadier had been alive heīd gived you credit for that....now heīs not so Iīll give you credit for it..will you accept my apology and my friendship?"
She gave him her hand, well knowing she took some kind of risk, but .....fact remained...the man actually DID save them...
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's lookout.
Flint didn't see anyone from his lookout. Still, he just kept having this feeling he was being watched. Flint calmly meditated tille he had gathered enough Magicka to perform a detect life spell with reasonable range.
With the help of the spell, he could see the people back in the cave as well as two people outside and something that seemed to shimmer in and out of his view. A summoned creature?
,,Well I'll be." Flint muttered. He climbed back into the cave and found himself intruding what looked like a romantic scene.
,,Sorry for disturbing you two, but there are some funny people hiding outside behind the trees. Just so you know." The Breton said before ascending back to his lookout.
Arygon looked down at Brianna's hand... oh, yes. There was something about these situations in a Noble's Code for the Redoran's. Right, Arygon lightly kissed the top of her hand, " I shall die defending you, my lady, to the last" Ah, that sounded about right " My blood will be spilled before harm comes to you or your kin." Yes, that was exactly what in said in that 'Nobles' Book. Arygon looked upward, wondering if he would see a sign from Azura, he had promised Azura that the first time he did ANYthing that had to do with Redoran, besides killing folks, that Azura could smite him... No lighting or pillars of flame... so she must not have noticed... "Let me see Flint" Arygon bounded for the small tunnel and climbed upward.
OOC: getting close to the 200 post limit...
The three assassins and one Sadril approached the cave (still relatively hidden in the forest) where supposedly Flint was, which meant that Gorrmund was there as well as who knows else. Sadril noticed a large stone door being closed on the entrance, and so acting quickly turned to Esethir, Rahvin and Deagon and said, "Wait here, I'm gonna try something; Stay hidden!"
With that he cast a hasty invisibility spell on himself and took off on a dead sprint towards the entreance of the cave. There wasn't enough room to squeeze through once he reached it, but there was still a space between the door. "Wait, wait! Stop!... Gorrmund!" he said, peering through the gap, smiling with his invisibility wearing off, "You remember me from your camp, right? I wish an audience with you, please don't shut me out," Sadril finished in a sincere tone.
OOC: if this aint ok, ill edit
Arygon made it to the top of the tunnel, just in time to look down on the entrance. He saw a man standing there, he was quite pale, and was wearing Dark Brotherhood armour. The light absorbing material, in the morning sun, made a perfect target. If there so so much as a sword swing the pale man would have a Dwemer bolt inside his head...
OOC: heh heh heh, no tricky buisness there Sadril
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's lookout.
Flint pointed into the distance.
,,Over there, I believe some guy, or woman is lying out there with a summoned creature."
Flint frowned. This constant focussing to gather enough Magicka after his little adventure with the grate gave him a headache. When he got enough, he cast another detection spell.
,,Odd, there are now more people. We've got company." Flint muttered as he took out one of his throwing stars. He then looked down right into the side of the hill.
,,Now who is chatting up with the girls and good old Gorrmund? I'm going to take a look. I'll be right back."
Flint climbed down and went back to the entrance.
,,You?!" He said when he saw their visitor and drew his katana.
Vampires always gave him the creeps.
(No, he is not going to attack, but he will be carefull.)
Deagan, Outside of Cave
Deagan nodded briefly to Sadril and took position behind a rock to watch how the man's plan would unfold.
We need to get the witnesses...at least they're trapped in the cave now...
He began to relax now, even if the stone door was closed, the people inside would have to come out some time.
Flint had drawn his katana, but there was no fighting yet so Arygon held his fire. It could be that Flint just didn't trust this person, but the shimmer out there had some animal with him, it looked like... a dog.
Arygon decided that he would keep his crossbow trained on the pale man. Wait... pale, seemed not to like sunlight Arygon knew that because he wore the Dark Brotherhood armour. Wait that described, a vampire!
Brianna, cave
She was worried.....if those guys outside were the ones who killed Jadier....then she and Telina were in big trouble. They would never let them live long enough to be able to tell about the asassination......Besides Gorrmund was here too.....
It looked like the entire bloodline of Jadier was very much in danger
Brianna covered her belly with her hands.......She was prepared to do anything to save her unborn child.....and Gorrmund!!!
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's cave.
,,Tens?" The Breton repeated with a frown.
,,Last time I checked there were maybe ten at most, not tens."
He then reached out and took Sadril's sword.
,,Alright, come in." He said as he handed the sword over to the women and began pushing the door. Somehow he just had a bad feeling about this.
(Yes, you tricked the guy!)
Arygon watched the Vampire enter the cave, well someone down there trusts him. Just as the Vamp entered Arygon saw movemnt out in the bushes, 'aw, just that guy's dog.' Arygon though to himself as he started climbing back down the tunnel.
Brianna, cave
Brianna accepted the sword......she was watching carefully.....honestly she did not really trust.....most of the men....
Arygon got down the tunnel just in time to see Brianna taking the vampire's sword from Flint, how interesting. Arygon continued closer, but decided to stay back, just to make sure the vampire didn't notice the others... hidden help.
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's cave.
,,Alright buddy, I still don't trust you so don't try to act like we're the best of friends. What do you want?" Flint said. His katana pointed at the ground, but that could change in an instant.
Arygon walked forward, out of his shadows, "Hello, Vampire. And who are you claiming to be, not a name, but What." Arygon pointed his blade against the vampires chest, "try it, I was a vampire at one point, Malog Bal did me a ... favor. I know all about you and what you will probably try."Arygon said this but really he only knew about vampires in general, about thier intense speed, strenght and magicka. He stepped between the vampire and the women. "Try it, brother of the night."
OOC: I'll take care of interrigations, Ladies stand back and avert your eyes this won't be pretty... (light spell? would that count as sunlight
)
Flint Ironwood, Arygon's cave.
So Arygon had been a vampire? Flint had never suspected this.
,,Gorrmund, keep an eye out, ok? Ladies, don't let your guard down. I'm going to take a leak." He said.
Instead of taking a leak though, Flint went back to the lookout. No need to tell a vampire he didn't trust exactly what he was going to do.
Brianna, cave
"It would be wise not to kill him??"...Brianna couldīt utter a word, her mouth was dry and she was shivering....
"Why should Jadier use a vampiric informant? That doesnīt make sense!..Or were there more dark corners in Jadīs life that she didnīt know of?"
Brianna smiled, still holding the katana....
Rahvin, Outside Arygon's cave
Rahvin saw that Sadril was admitted inside, and almost gagged at the amount of luck he apparently had; the door was definately too heavy to be opening and closing all the time, so they had left it open.
With a small wave to Deagan behind the rock, Rahvin made his way towards the entrance. He had been about to enter when a man came inbetween Sadril and his targets, claiming to be a 'brother of the night'.
Rahvin quickly moved to the side of the entrance, putting his back against the wall. He continued listening, ready to turn the corner at any second, should the vampire's story not hold up. He pulled out a dagger and began twirling it around his fingers in anticipation.
Arygon looked at the vampire, " Ha! Don't tell me you haven't figured it out. It's all about the ladies, you know they don't like the whole 'blank eye thing'" Arygon smiled, jokes were fun but his was politics, a real game "I have recived a few more gifts from Malog Bal than the removal of Vampirism, like this..." Arygon drew a dagger shine-ing in a multi-tude of colours, "this dagger can cure Vampirism, scared yet, Vampire?"
Arygon, laugh inwardly, the dagger did no such thing, it was weakly enchanted with a multitude of things so he could claim it was a weapon of Gods. Forget that the vamp had information, from what Arygon had seen of Jadier's family there was too much of the 'Redoran' way, honour and all that riff-raff. The Dwemer blade was securely in his left hand while his dominate right hand, held the 'Cure of Vampirism'.
OOC: Lol, good thing Sadril can't read thoughts.
And don't tell me he can, thats just not in the game.
Sadril, Cave or Something
Sadril turned to Arygon, "Why do you threaten me? I came in here surrendering my sword and with information on the encroaching assassination, and yet without reason you draw your blade at me?! On top of this, you challenge my knowledge of vampiric artifacts?!" Sadril's eyes shown with fury as the whole cave seemed to light up with his voice, "I have lived longer than all of you put together and yet you come at me with a 'cure vampirism dagger?"
To be honost Sadril wasn't one hundred percent on this dagger. True, his knowledge of vampirism was great. Combined with Arygon's overconfidence in telling Sadril he had a dagger that could cure vampirism indiciated that this was a ruse. But Sadril still remained careful, for if he was 'cured' it was possible he would simply fall to ashes. Sadril felt the urge to grab his sword from Brianna, but he stood his ground because he was a 'friend' and he was greatly outnumbered....
Or was he?
Deagan, Outside the Cave
As Deagan sat behind the rock in wait he saw Rahvin make a small hand motion toward him in the direction of the entrance of the cave. Deagan took this as a sign to move forward and slowly made his way around the rock and toward the cave entrance, careful not to get in line with the door so he wouldn't be seen.
He arrived at his destination seconds later and pushed his back to the stone around the entrance before looking to Rahvin who was on the opposite side.
Deagan slowly drew his blade and waited...just in case.
OOC: i was skipped, so I'm moving it
Arygon looked at him "Who'd you take lessons from Marinasa up in Sithis, Morrowind? She had the same kind of thing, 'I'm a helpless little woman, please don't kill me!', you turn you're back on her and she stabs you. Sounds familliar to you doesn't it?" Arygon stepped closer to the Vampire, dagger moving closer to his neck, " How about I just gently push this through, and 'pop', if you are as ancient as you claim to be ... well you'd probably be dust and ashes, unless you were an Elf at some point." Arygon, knowing that this was an easy to see through ruse, was actually setting up for something else. A small burst of Telekinesis, the best he could do, pushed the rest of his 'party' back. "Now, Vampire come here to do what you meant to do."
Rahvin, Outside Cave
After hearing the conversation, and of Sadril's possible danger, Rahvin came up with a quick solution that wouldn't compromise Sadril's story, and would keep this small duel from taking place...
He held his palm out to Deagan telling him not to move for the moment.
He strode into the entrance and tossed his dagger, purposefully missing Sadril's head by less than an inch.
"You aren't going anywhere, Vampire." he spat. "You didn't expect to live after getting in my way of killing Jadier, did you? Not even your new friends can protect you."
He pulled another dagger from his left sleeve to continue the act. Sure, he might be captured by these people, but he was in no danger with Sadril and Deagan on his side...
Brianna, cave
Brianna was confused....now she didnīt have a clue whoīs who.....maybe it was best to let those maniacs do their own fighting......she quite silent went backwards into the shadows...still holding that cursed katana....if somone would threaten her...she very well knew how to use it. She was not solely an archer......
Hopfully nobody noticed her vanishing....
Deagan, Outside the Cave
Deagan followed Rahvin's command to stay put, obviously his companion had some sort of plan and he wasn't about to compromise it.
Hope he knows what he's doing...
As Rahvin stepped inside and threw the dagger Deagan watched the scene unfold before him, the people within the cavern were too distracted to notice him slightly peeking around the corner.
I hope I don't have to play hero and get them out of this...
Deagan waited, if something unplanned were to occur he was right there for backup...
OOC: Figured I might as well post since nobody knows I'm outside...
Arygon turned even as the dagger blew past him, a glass knife already leaving it's throwing holster. The dagger was slightly wieghted, of course to make sure the blade always struck first. Arygon turned and saw Rahvin stepping out, ans the vampire diving toward him. Arygon stepped back loaded his crossbow and aimed.
OOC: You can still dodge, i didn't mention the blade hitting yet. See, I'm getting better at this
Ranes, Riding to the rescue! Or something like that
Ranes cursed under his breath. And he knew more than his fair share of curses. He had to track Gorrmund's trail after the Nord had left, alone. So much for travel-companions and safety in numbers, he thought as his horse pushed onward through the snow. "Hopefully he didn't get in trouble..."
The trail eventually led Ranes closer to the cave. And he could easily see someone outside the cave. And the door the cave was ajar. He though for a moment the man might have just left it, but he was looking rather sneaky, wasn't exactly walking away from the cave. Still, he might know something.
"Uh, Hello there sir!" he called he rode up.
got to close this now......
