Here we go again!

Rahvin
Rahvin held his nose when Deagan opened the vial filled with Brianna's homemade cure. The stuff smelled like rotting fish.
When Deagan finally drank the disgusting stuff, Rahvin could breathe easier.
"We should be able to get to Lainlalten by tomorrow night if we don't rest on the way. If we do rest, though, I think we should wait another hour or two to put some distance between Haafingar and us."
Brianna
Brianna made sure Deagan downed the entire potion, the smell of it was terrible and Deagan frowned and complained about both the taste and the smell, but Brianna insisted...
"Youīll feel ok in half an hour" she said to Deagan. The assassin just stared at her, trying to keep the dreadful liquid down in his stomach, it almost made him vomit seversal times! After a while he felt some improvement anyway and at least stopped complaining.
"Lainlalten?" Brianna looked at Rahvin, "What is that, I havenīt heard of it before, but if you think we should go there, letīs go, Deagan will soon be quite alright, I donīt think we need to stop quite yet, so ok....letīs continue for a couple of hours!"
Deagan, with Brianna, Sadril, and Rahvin
Deagan choked down the putrid "medicine" that Brianna had given him and they continued on, his headache seemed to fade away and the sickness in his stomach was no more.
"That stuff was vile...but at least it works..." Deagan said as he looked at Brianna
Sadril opened a map and started planning their journey...but where would they go? More importantly, why was he still sticking with this bunch? He didn't know exactly and this bothered him.
He stepped up and peered over the vampire's shoulder as he heard something about Lainlalten.
"Wait...I can't be seen near Lainlalten...I had a misunderstanding with a few guards there and they might not be too happy to see me return..." He said cautiously
"I'd have to be careful not to get sighted if we went there..." He added as he scratched his shoulder
OOC: I'm hoping we have more than like three posts on the weekends in the future...
Hecate
Located in North Hall, Skyrim
Hecate leaned over the now dead victim, the victim still having death cramps. The Nord was hard to bring down, even thought he had the element of surprise. He wanted to take him down fast, but was resisting the batrachotoxin in the beginning. Hecate had been moving in a circle around him, unleashing several thrusts with his daggers, inflicting deadly wounds to the huge Nord. In the end, Hecate sat his dagger straight in the spine of the Nord, the toxin did it's job quickly and the Nord got paralysed within a moment, in the end the lungs and heart stopped working as he tried to catch a breath lying on the floor having cramps...
Another job done, another kill to the list. Hecate gently took the dagger out of the Nords spine and sheathed it. He leaped through the window, landing with a role then he took of into the shadows.
Arygon woke up, because of the innkeeper poking him with a broom, and wandered downstairs. Down there was, a wise woman? What was she doing away from Morrowind? , Arygon wondered. The wise woman turned to him,"Have you heard of the profecy (Sp)?" Arygon looked at here in confusion, "I suppose you haven't then," The wise woman said since Arygon didn't anwser. She proceded to tell him about a Skyrim Lord's son, who was yet to be born, who would slay a great, and evil, wizard. Arygon just watched her talk as he drank his flin. Most amusing thing I've seen in days Arygon thought to himself...
OOC: There, without detail, the profecy (sp...) has entered the story
Deagan, you should know by now...
Deagan looked to Brianna and nodded his head,
"Much better now, thanks."
Even if it did taste...and smell like rotting horse meat it's quite useful for headaches...
He ran his hand upward on his cheek, he needed to shave soon...a hot bed and some good food would be great as well but it seemed as if all three were out of his reach at the moment, perhaps in the next town...
Deagan reached into his pocket and felt around for a moment in search of what gold he had left. He pulled out a few coins and counted them in his hand.
five...six...seven...only seven coins left...not even enough for a slice of bread, let alone a room...guess I'll have to find some more somewhere...
He put the coins back into his pocket and continued walking beside the others for a while before taking a deep breath and looking around.
Where the hell are we?
"How close are we to the town?" He asked out loud
Rahvin
"Well, our proirity isn't keeping away from Lainlalten, it's getting as far away from Haafingar as possible."
And the colony. he reminded himself.
"So you two can stuff any objections you have, because you need to be tucked away in an inn so you aren't completely killed by the sun, vampire, and Brianna doesn't look like she can go on too much longer. Lainlalten is far enough away to escape Haafingar's notice, yet close enough so that we all don't die trying to get away."
"We have about a day of travel, which is probably too much, but if you all decide you won't go, I'll go alone."
Telina...is BAAAACK
Hi, sorry for not keeping up, RL have gona on a direct assault on me for the last week...so I was wondering if any of you could...you know fit Telina back in...and maby give me a short recap of the last playground.
*posting*
Arygon stood up out of his chair, ignoring the wise womans shouts about him ignoring her , and walked out the door. He travel down the street to the closest Trader. Arygon looked down into his pack, searched through for a moment, and finding a few hundred septims, decided to buy himself a breakfast (supper, lunch, w/e). The trader was an obnoxious man, who was slowly walking back and forth in his Trollbone armour. Arygon decided then and there not to pay the man. Arygon reached into the nearest barrel and, pulled out the entire content. There was some bread, a few Corkbulbs, about 11 Saltrice, and a ash yam. Arygon left the shop chewing on the ash yam...
Hecate
Located in North Hall, Skyrim
Hecate made it swiftly back to his small shack not far outside of North Hall, moving in a shade and unnoticed even by the animals around him as he moved through the small woodarea before he came up by the shack he had rented. He was about to open the door when his eyes glided down, he noticed a small, sealed letter by the door. It was marked, that could only mean another job.
Hecate sighed, he was just finished - He enjoyed his job as an assassin and got well paid but even he needed his rest. He grabbed the letter unwilling and opened it. Apparently someone wanted to arrange a meeting in Lainlalten. Interesting Hecate thought, didn't look like a job but a meeting about something.
Hecate grabbed his sleepingbag and stuffed in into his backpack along with some other items he had around in the shack. He left and went around to his black steed behind the shack and rode against Lainlalten.
OOC: Looks like someone is going to meet, Kiln
Arygon was walking down the street, when yet another wise woman walked past him. Why couldn't they stay in Morrowind, Arygon wondered. He walked back to the hotel, just to find that his room had been taken. Arygon asked the innkeeper about it, but she said she would rent him a ... cottage... in the woods if he would go get the key from the other renter, Arygon smiled, at last something easy...
Hecate
Located riding north from North Hall
Hecate made his way north, heading for the town Lainlalten where someone had arranged a meeting with him. His horse was fast and it went quickly. The cold winds whipped his face as he rode north. He reached Granitehall, here the road went long west before making a turn then going back east against Lainlalten. It would take to much time, Hecate never wanted to waste time riding all the way around because of a silly road.
He rode into Granitehall, he left his horse in the stables since he couldn't make it through the harsh terrain on horseback.
He moved through the wilderness, heading north west so he wouldn't miss the road if he would miss Lainlalten. His knowledge about living in the wilderness wasn't something he could be proud of, but still it wasn't a real problem for him to make his way north. Only large trees, logs, snow and wild animals stood in his way, none of these were a challange at all.
Arygon wandered the streets of the town, wondering what to do. It wasn't his proudest moment, letting the women go with the assassins, but he really couldn't do anything about it now. Arygon wandered around until he found a larger, more prosperous house. Arygon went inside, talked to the noble within, as not to arouse suspicion, and then entered the nobles empty study. The desk was weakly locked so Arygon didn't even bother with magic, he just used a normal lockpick. Within the desk was 324 septims which he gladly took.
Hecate
Entering Lainlalten
Hecate entered Lainlalten, freezing and full of snow. The road was tough and the weather hadn't been on his side too, but it wasn't much of a deal. Hecate made his way up north in the town to the small and warm tavern by the north gate. He walked into the tavern, whipping the snow of him and sitting down on a table just relaxing.
He ordered only some ale before leaning back with the feet on the table and drinking, with many sinister thoughts in his head.
Brianna, heading towards Lainlalten
Brianna was feeling more and more exhausted, even though she wouldnīt admit it....no way! She glanced at Sadril.....convinced that the sun and daylight would really harm him even though it was not apparent...yet!
Then suddenly she remembered being just here before! On a hunting-party, a long time go, with Jadier....and they were caught in a very sudden snowstorm and had to rapidly find shelter.....
The cave they eventually found all those years ago should be here....just have to find the three upright standing boulders, in a triangular pattern, thatīll be the landmark....
"There" Brianna said happily, "Look there are the three boulders, then thereīs a really nice cave just to the left of them....I know this place..Iīve been here...."
Brianna silenced....hmm always rushing off...as usual. How could possibly Rahvin and the others know what she was on about?
"Itīs like this" she continued" I know of a very nice cave, right over there, we could have a rest....I think we need that, yes even you Rahvin, youīre not quite as hard as youīd like to be, I can see that!. The cave is very convenient, it provides shelter and we have a good view of everything that approach...from above..and the best thing is, the entrance is completely hidden....itīs right over there"
Brianna pointed at the hillside....but nothing was to be seen....
Rahvin
Rahvin looked for this cave that Brianna was talking about, but didn't see anything. Instead of voicing the thought that there was nothing there, he merely shrugged.
"Lead the way, then."
Deagan, next to Rahvin
As Deagan walked along beside Rahvin, who despite his best efforts at concealing it, looked quite tired as well. Just about everyone looked as if they needed a rest and Brianna started to ramble about some cave she'd been to before.
Deagan wondered briefly if she was losing it from the cold but it seemed as if she were sure of the location of a cave nearby.
"I was hoping for a soft bed in town but I suppose a cave will do...I'm exhausted..." He admitted
He looked between Rahvin and Brianna.
"Right, lets get moving then..." He said out loud but since he had no idea where they were going, he stood still, waiting for Brianna to take them to the cave.
Brianna, leading the guys ....
Brianna smiled..
"Youīre not supposed to see it, silly..come on, follow me"
She ran off towards the hillside, all of a sudden she got that extra energy that sometimes you just get when having a certain goal....
Brianna was a fast runner when necessary..and soon she left the guys a bit behind, then she disappeared...just like that! She was not to be found, but they could hear her, when she called for them to follow....
The cave in question was situated a bit up the hillside, the undergrowth was really thick here and covered the entrance completely. You actually had to know exactly where to go to find the cave.
Brianna did know.....
Telina, back at last...just behind Rhavin&co.
Telina, and Gorrmund, who had been walking a little behind the others, suddenly saw that Brianna dissapeared, so Telina guessed there was some secret entrance, so she and Gorrmund just kept walking, and suddenly they came right through the ground or something, and they stood in a cave.
Telina whisteled..."Brianna, how did you ever get to know this place"?
Arygon, of course, wasn't as lucky as to get away with stealing sevral hundred septims and not get caught. The guard came in, and yelled at Arygon to surrender. Arygon drove his glass dagger into the guards voicebox, causing him to lose his ability to speak, then Arygon backflipped out the window landing in the cold courtyard below. A place to stay would be nice Arygon thought to himself, as he whisled (sp) and walked down the street...
Rahvin
Rahvin stepped inside the cave and found a comfortable spot by the cave wall. He sat on the floor, leaning against the wall of the cave.
He was asleep by the time Gorrmund and Telina walked in.
Brianna
The first thing Brianna did when they entered the small but dry and relatively warm cave was to make sure they would have a chance to see the road below so they could spot enemies coming along.
Rahvin was obviously totally worn out, he just sank down by the wall, then fell asleep. Brianna took off her coat and put it over him, with the hood neatly tucked in behind his head to make it comfortable to him.
Deagan also sat down, but watched her poking around with a faint smile on his face. Brianna offered him her big scarf that she usually wore tied around her waist, then asked him if he was ok. Deagan nodded and closed his eyes.
Sadril had gone further into the cave where it was darker.....maybe the daylight did bother him a bit after all.
Suddenly Brianna heard a cheerful voice just outside the cave:
"Brianna, how did you ever get to know this place"?
It was Telina! Brianna gasped....she had not given the young girl a thought since they left Arygonīs place, she had assumed that Telina and Gorrmund went another way and didnīt want to interfere. And now they were here!.....A trickle of fear ran down her spine, if Telina could find them that easy......so might others do and that worried her a great deal.
"Telina?" she croaked.." How did you find us? Is Gorrmund with you?"
"Dumb question.....obviously he is, so what happens now? Iīm not sure these two will approve of my newly achieved friendship with Rahvin and Deagan So how shall I explain my premonitions and visions for them? Will they understand or will they just kill me as a traitor?"
Telina, and Gorrmund, in teh new cave
"Gorrmund is still here with me, and finding you was easy, you forgot to whipe away the tracks, so I did it for you...but what are THEY doing here"?, she said a bit sharply, empathising the word THEY...while pointing at Ravhin and Deagan.
Hecate
Tavern by the North Gate, Lainlalten
Hecate leaned back in the wooden chair and stretched his arms out in all directions. It was funny, relaxing in a tavern with some ale was actually something Hecate hadn't done in a long time. He took up the letter he'd gotten, he read through it a couple of times before putting it in his pocket. Didn't stand where to meet, only Lainlalten. He drank the little ale that was left before leaving some coins and going out into the now cold and dark streets of Lainlalten.
He headed to the blacksmith right next to the north gate, he'd been there before, was good quality weapons and he knew the smith well, but the smith didn't know Hecate. Hecate had always been lying to everyone, he was a known assassin and his name would set the guards on alert. Most knew him as a vampire hunter, Hecate himself didn't have anything against vampires but judging on how he looked, that was something else.
Hecate stepped into the blacksmith, it was time to repair the good old katana. Hopefully it wouldn't take too much time, it wasn't very damaged since it was a long time since he ever had to use it.
Rahvin
Ironically, Brianna's insistent 'shush' woke him up. He noticed a strange coat covering him, so he took it off of himself and put it down beside him in a bundle.
"So, what's going on?" he asked groggily. It hadn't been a long enough nap.
Brianna
"Oh..sorry I didnīt mean to wake you up......Telina and Gorrmund just came here, apparently Iīve missed covering our tracks properly"
Brianna hung her head down.....she didnīt know what would happen right now.....Suddenly a sharp pain went through her......emanating from her stomach..
"Oh nooo......the baby!....I just canīt loose the baby now"
OOC: No she wonīt loose her baby....it just wants to get some attention!
Esethir
An old, weary figure shuffled out from the shadows, smiling at the group. He had a familiar sense about him, and his voice reminded all present of the man who had left them barely a day before.
"So...you heard it too. I should know, I suppose, I saw it in progress." the old man told Brianna, chuckling slightly.
"Hello again Deagan, friend. Such a long time it has been."
Ranes, Teh cave
Ranes sighed and sat down, leaning his back against the wall. He watched the others for a few moments before noticing the entrace of the weary looking old man, and raised a eyebrow, staring at the man. "Who in Oblivion are you, and what are you talking about?"
he asked - he hadn't known Esethir nearly long enough to recognize him.
Esethir
"I am...I am Riseth. I know not of my former name - the God's changed my mind in mysterious ways, but I remember all of you. I left you 80 years ago....but you do not seem to have gotten very far now do you?
Hecate
In Lainlalten
The Blacksmith told Hecate that it would take a little longer to repair the katana than normal since he had to preserve the top quality on the blade, he was quite intimidated by Hecate and didn't want ruin the blade.
Even thought he hadn't used the blade in a long while, he always felt kinda naked going around without it. He felt safer with the instrument of death on his back. Hecate sighed as he usually did and left the blacksmith. Yet again he walked out into the cold and narrow streets of Lainlalten. Knowing the one who summoned him had to be here he started wandering around, with his hands resting on his daggers inside his cloak.
Hecate
In Lainlalten
Hecate looked at the Breton and ignored the first question, insted he wanted to get to the point, he thought this was just another mission and wanted to get over with it quickly.
"So... What is this about?"
Arygon watched a pair of men cut into an alley, it was thier problem if they wanted to fight, so Arygon continued on past. He exited Lainlalten
and wandered south. Prehaps there would be something to do there...
Brianna, cave
The pain vanished as sudden as it came over her. She wiped sweat from her forehead and sat down.
An elderly man appeared at the entrance.....and addressed Deagan.....apparently they knew each other. Ranes seemed to be present as well...
"Gosh itīs like a crowd in here, and this cave should be a hidingplace? Seems as half the population of Skyrim is present here"
Brianna watched the others......unsure of what actions should be taken......A weird feeling came over her....as if something evil was nearby or at least....where they were heading....
Another vision was coming over her and the content of it scared her almost to death....
Arygon wandered across the snowy plains, until he came to a small mound. He climbed on top, and spotting his meal in the form of a rabbit, he started forward and was surprised when he fell through a cave roof down into the middle of a familiar crowd...
Brianna, cave
With a thud the body of a man almost fell right upon Brianna as she was resting against the wall. Just in the very last minute she managed to flung herself aside to avoid getting crushed by......
"Arygon!!" Brianna yelled, " What are you doing here?"
She crawled to her feet and stood panting beside the rugged wall....
"We gotta get out of her.....now..immediately, this place is not safe anymore!"
Arygon turned, brianna was just to the side of where he had landed, "Sorry." Then he noticed Ethsier who had returned from... where-ever. "Ummm.. Ethsier, do you have my Dwemer-Shortsword... it's been missing since you left..." Arygon looked around, everyone but the vampire was there... except Flint...
The old man smiled, withdrawing a worn box from within his cloak.
"I thought you would ask about that." he told the man, grinning wickedly.
He opened the box, and inside was a pile of dust.
"The sands of time my friend, reduce all back from whence we came." he said, passing the box to the man.
Arygon stared down at the box of dust which had been Dwemer at one point. "Ah, well I'll reasearch the Earth-Bones later and have this fixed by Yagrum back in Morrowind..."
Deagan, Cave
Deagan looked to the old man as he made himself known. After a few seconds he realized who it was, his old friend Esethir. His former friend stood before him, his body was old and withered now. As he listened to the words the old man spoke it was clear that the body was Esethir's but it was like his mind was different, like they'd been separated for years.
80 years? How?
"My friend...what has happened to you?" Deagan asked as he stood, looking at Esethir
"You've been gone little more than a day...yet you've changed so much..." He added
The confusion was clear upon his face, his young companion Esethir was no more, an older and much more experienced looking man had replaced him.
Sadril; In a Cave
Sadril emerged from the shadows of the back of the cave, slipping a yellow amulet into his pocket. He was feeling a bit better after he had rested in the darkness, but upon all of the commotion he sided with Brianna, "I agree, we should get going. This place isn't a secret anymore," he said, glaring at Arygon, "Lainlalten shouldn't be much farther now."
Brianna, cave
Brianna looked curiously at Sadril....the vampire agreed with her....well that was odd but not totally unpleasant.....now she had heard stories about vampires who were kinda nice..or at least not just evil.
She immediately started gathering her things, the coat, the pouch and her bow and dagger. Checking her belongings..all was there, scrolls, potions.....mmmm good.
" Shall we?" Brianna looked outside to see if the coast was clear. It was....they could get out and head towards Lainlalten
"Lainlalten? Why am I all of a sudden scared of going there? What will await for me there? "
Arygon looked up from his box of Dwemer dust, "Well, if were going to Lainlalten then I know a good inn." Arygon decided to set up his set of equipment at the inn when they got there. He would have to ask Yagrum to find out more about Earth-Bones and thier properties, as so he could create a time-proof weapon.
Rahvin
Rahvin stood up and handed Brianna her coat back. With one last mournful glance back at his comfortable spot, he walked a short way out of the cave. Why was he even going with them?
I don't want to be with any of these people; Esethir shows up eighty years older, Arygon annoys the hell out of me, Brianna is, well, pregnant, Sadril's motives are more than questionable, Deagan never ceases to bring up my prisoner status, I've never even heard Ranes say a word before a minute ago...I always get stuck with the weird ones. he thought up something he hated for each person, and still decided to go with them.
Maybe they aren't too bad...
Esethir, cave
"Haha!" Esethir laughed aloud. "I would rather not speak of it, lest the Daedra strike me down. But I have not been on the mortal plane for a long time."
He looked around at the group. "I have been told your futures...every one of you. I now understand we merely tread a path given to us by the Daedra - and I shall not ruin the 'surprises' you will face." he stood somberely.
"I have lived through this journey once through my dreams, and we should get going now before the bears return." he told them. A loud scuffling was audible a few yards from the mouth of the cave.
"We should go now, so we can prove ourselves against the evil tracking us."
Brianna, cave
She was ready to leave. The old man who arrived last said some very sensible words...and she felt that they should listen to him.
Rahvin puzzled her....he came to bring death....but somehow did not do it...
"He keeps avoiding getting close to me.....why? We both saved each others life....I donīt understand it. He knows about the baby.....but thatīs no reason to act weird....and Deagan....I know he killed Jad....but thatīs history now....I do like these guys.....in some way, but I donīt know why. It feels like my future is dependant on them.....then again ...the old man knows, but i dare not ask him about my future or the future of my unborn child!"
When she heard the noise from outside......she went to the door urging the others to follow
Telina, Teh cavezorz
Telina, who had accepted Briannas answeer why the other guy's was with them. listened carefully to the old man. So he knew the future of each and everyone of them, even as much as Telina wanted to know her future, she felt that it was best not to know it...it could lead her into some heavy aspect of paranoia.
"Ok..."she wispered, "I think we should go silently, and for Azura's sake, let's cover our tracks good ok".
Telina took up her bow, and placed an arrow on it, just to be ready. She had a bad feeling when she wwas walking towards the hidden entrance of the cave...a bad feeling of someone wanting to hurt Brianna...but that would never happen, not if Telina had something to say about it.
OOC:Let's get out of this cave, mkay.
Arygon looked around at everyone getting ready to leave, he jumped out of the hole he had made falling through the roof, and landed in front of the small exit-hole that Brianna was exiting from...
Rahvin
Rahvin stood, listening to Esethir speak, and somehow keeping his hysterical laughter inside.
That's the biggest load I've ever heard; sure something odd happened to him, but he's no god.
He smiled at Esethir as if they had some hidden joke before speaking to the others. "So are we leaving or not? If not, I'll just go back in the cave and get some sleep..."
Deagan, with teh others
Deagan looked strangely at Esethir.
Perhaps the gods have played too many tricks with his mind...he seems to be a little out of it...
He saw Brianna leave the cave and honestly, he wondered why he was still with all these people. There was no purpose for him to stay with them, nor was there any reason for Rahvin to stay with them...perhaps their reasons were the same and neither one knew.
He tried not to keep that thought in his mind for too long as he did not like to be confused, instead he shifted his attention back to Brianna and followed her down the path, pushing past anyone in the way of the entrance of the cavern.
Why is it that Brianna trusts us? She knows one of us killed Jadier...but does she know which one?
He pulled the hood over his head and walked on behind her.
Why am I with these people? Part of them are witnesses to Jadier's death...they could get me into a lot of trouble...but something tells me to stay with them, and I will not deny my instincts no matter how much I fail to understand them.
Rahvin
His question was answered, if through actions instead of words. He sighed and fell in line with Brianna and Deagan, still laughing at Esethir, and still ignoring whatever it was that had made those noises nearby...
"I could do with some hot soup and a nap." he mumbled to no one in particular.
Brianna, walking the line
She laughed about Sadril making fun of Rahvin....the vamp amused her, yet he also scared her....she was convinced he suspected her of being able to read minds, vamps are more sensitive to supernatural things than normal humans.
She also was unsure about him..would he come to the rescue if needed?
As they continued the walk , it started raining, a heavy wet rain was pouring down, wetting everything and everybody. Brianna wrapped her coat closer around her, really happy she still had it. There was a small bunch of trees a bit further on, it might serve as shelter for a while
" Come on, letīs go for the trees over there" She said and started running ahead of the group
Rahvin
Rahvin followed Brianna, totally ignoring Sadril's taunting; if he wanted to be childish, he could do it alone. He had looked at the soup that Brianna had given him, and saw that it was cold.
Kind of defeats the purpose of soup.
When he made it under the trees, he messed his own hair to get the icy water out of it, and handed Brianna her soup back.
"Maybe I'll try again when we have a fire going."
Arygon, walked to the impromtu campsite. "So, Rahvin you nedd it heated?" Arygon took out his dagger sawed a tree branch off, and light it up with a fireball, " I suppose magic is good for something." Arygon glanced at Brianna, What WAS she doing leading her lovers killers around?
Brianna, under a tree
Brianna smiled and put the jar back in her pouch.
"Ok...nevermind then....hmm isnīt that Lainlalten over there?" she pointed to the right, where there were some silhouettes of buildings visible ....
"If so then we better get going as soon as this darn rain stops"
She sighed....then she felt dizzy all of a sudden...
"Damn it...I havenīt eaten enough...."
She bent forwards to prevent herself from fainting, the blood rushed back in her head and she soon felt better, apart from the normal nausea from the pregnancy
Rahvin
Rahvin let Brianna take the soup, not taking Arygon up on his offer.
"Why wait for the rain to stop? We'll have plenty of time to dry once we're in an inn."
Brianna, walking
Itīs easy..itīs just to put one foot in front of the other...and then the other way around
Brianna tried to think that way as she walked together with Rahvin and Deagan, tired, hungry and soaked
"A warm bed, a cup of hot tea......I really donīt ask for anything else"
OOC: Got to go now, Iīll not be online tomorrow....huuge party!
OOC: Lemme speed this trip up a little
Rahvin
Rahvin walked with the others, except for Sadril, who was running far ahead of them, quickly going out of sight.
It wasn't long before they reached the city gates. RAhvin was hesitant to speak with a guard, but he did anyway to ask about an inn.
"Take a left onto that street right there, and it's the third building on the right. It's called The Traveller's Rest." the guard answered.
Rahvin turned around to face the others, "I hope someone has some money. I have yet to be paid for...uh...yeah..." he trailed off there, suddenly remembering who his company was.
Telina, Lainlalten
Telina who had followed the others, not saying anything...instead she had been on guard for something dangerous, took Gorrmund a little away from the rest of the group, to talk to him in private.
"Gorrmund, you have to leave us, you must get back to Falkreath, to take up your place as lord there".
Gorrmund stared at her for a second. "Yes, I will, but will you go with me"?, suddenly there waas a tear emnating from his eye, as he aleready knew the answer.
"No, I will not...I must saty and protect Brianna, but remember...I...I will never forget you". Then she gave him a kiss on the cheek, and turned, running as fast as she could towards the group that was entering Lainlalten.
Suddenly she slipped, on a wet rock, and flew headlong into Rahvin...![]()
OOC: Red told me to control his character, so I'll send him back to Falkreath...in case Red decides to return to us.
Arygon follow the group along, heard Rahvin talking about a lack of money when Telina fell into him, " Well, now Rahvin I guess someone owes you a little." Arygon said, "But anyway, here's the septims you need." Arygon tossed a bag at Rahvin.
Deagan, yeah...
Deagan walked behind the others and hung his head when he passed guards in the city. Some time ago he'd been caught stealing from the treasury and there were wanted posters everywhere. The group would surely recognize him but if any attempted to turn him in, he would be forced to kill them.
This was not a good idea...
He decided to follow the group silently as if he was a servant to one of them, trying not to focus on the pictures of him that were posted around the city...at least they seemed to be a little generous with his appearance in their drawings...
"Lets find an inn...quickly." Deagan whispered to no one in particular
Hecate
Hecate took of into the shadows, the meeting between him and the mysterious Breton was over, he would surely be visited again, at least he hoped - to claim his reward. Hecate knew he would have to get near the gates, he walked out of the alley taking his hood further down and started wandering slowly against the Traveller's Rest.
Coming up close to the Inn he suddenly spotted a large group of travellers. He got a wicked smile, he knew this had to be the group. He knew he would have to supervise them until he would even think about making a move. He picked up speed as he walked fast into the inn. He suddenly froze in the doorway, he looked back at the group. His eyes simply zoomed in one of them, he seemed... familiar, it was Deagan. The flashback brought him years back, there was a strong friendship between him and Deagan, he thought.
He could feel it all, the stinning and burning pain of the deadly poisoned dagger right in his spine. Deagan betrayed me, for the gold, I should have seen that cominb back then.
Hecate's dear friend Deagan didn't even hesitate to putt a dagger in his back when he found out that one of the nobles they had been hired to kill, left a nearly unthinkable amount of gold and items in his house. Greedy bastarde Hecate thought, before quickly moving into the inn, he positioned himself near the stairway which led upstairs, beyond the stairs was a window which led out to the small yard behind the inn - it was a good escape route, if anything should go wrong.
Arygon stepped inside, and being tired from all of the exerise the last few days, pushed the man in front of the stairs out of his way and climbed up to the nearest room and collasped onto the bed, Rahvin would have to be paying for it all, with the money that had just been given to him of course Arygon rolled over and set up his small alchemists set, along with a few Dwemer things. How was he going to fix his sword?
Rahvin
Before the innkeeper could stop Arygon for not paying, Rahvin shoved a few coins in his hand.
"I want as many rooms as you can spare, and a meal for all of us." he said to the innkeeper. He paid the innkeeper, and realized that he only had about ten coins left.
He noticed that there was one less meal than there was people, and looked around the room. Where was Gorrmund?
I guess there's one person that would know better than any one. he thought to himself.
"Hey, Telina; where's Gorrmund? Did he get lost or something?"
Deagan, Traveller's Rest Inn
The Traveller's Rest? Sounds like as good a place as any to hole up for the night...
Deagan caught a glimpse of someone heading into the inn right before them but thought nothing of it, instead he continued walking normally beside the others and going inside. As he walked inside and felt immediately at home, around the bar were lots of people drinking and laughing.
After nearly falling because of the ale on the floor he made his way to the bar for a drink, it seemed that Rahvin had paid for their drinks, food, and beds for the night...good thing too, Deagan searched his pockets and found the gold he'd had before gone.
Where is it? What could have happened to it?
He wondered about it for a few minutes and ordered some of the cheapest brandy to go with his meal. Deagan sat there, eating and drinking near the fire with his legs stretched out.
Finally a bit of peace...
Brianna, Travellerīs Rest, Lainlalten
Brianna was far too tired to pay much attention to the commotion involving Rahvin, Telina and in a way Gorrmund.
She noticed Telina sent Gorrmund away under the excuse she was to stay here protecting her; Brianna! She smirked......she very much liked the girl....but the thought of her as a bodyguard was somewhat odd. Brianna Sarethi had always been able to take care of herself, and intended to do so this time as well. And the way the girl just flung herself onto Rahvin!!! It looked very weird in Briannaīs eyes...it looked as if she did it on purpose..
"Telina, dear" Brianna smiled, "If youīre going to protect me, you need to stand on your feet....in the first place!"
She then addressed Rahvin:
"Telina sent him back to Falcreath" she said dryly, "Can we get some food now?"
OOC: Is Ranes also together with the others?
Rahvin
Rahvin raised an eyebrow, more clueless than he'd ever been before. He didn't have much time to think about it, though, because just then a waitress came from the kitchens, their tray of food in hand.
"Where do you want this?" the woman asked, and Rahvin pointed to an empty table in reply.
He sat down at the table and immediately began devouring the food, only pausing occasionally to take a sip of water.
Brianna, at the table, Travellerīs Rest Lainlalten[U]
Brianna smiled happily as the waitress brought their food, then helped herself to a fairly sturdy meal.
Brianna , eating
Even though she was very occupied eating, Brianna noticed Ranes joining them. That pleased her a lot.
"At last...heīs sensible, heīs good.....but why has he been following us from behind?"
Rahvin
Rahvin slowed down his eating a bit, mainly because wo women had put themselves down beside him. He slowly chewed his venison while Ranes sat down.
I still haven't heard that one say a word... he thought, but left it at that.
He ate an ear of corn and another slice of venison before deciding that he was full. He pushed the remaining food away from himself before leaning back in his chair.
He was still curious about Gorrmund though. Not that he minded that the man was gone; (Gorrmund seemed the type to think ill of all assassins, no matter the circumstances) he was just curious.
"I can see why Gorrmund would go back to Falcreath, but why did he leave you two behind?" he asked Telina and Brianna.
Arygon woke, when the smells of cooking finally reached his nose. He stumbled down the stairs, crashed into to the man standing by them, a mumbled apology later he was siting with Brianna and Telina, eating evrything he could on his plate, "So Brianna, now what?" Arygon asked as he stopped to lift a bottle of Flin...
Sadril
Sadril walked into the inn, hood over his head, a somber, relaxed look on his face. He sat at the table with the others but declined any offerings of food.
He sat in silence for a while, when he noticed Brianna seemingly getting tired, "Brianna you really shouldn't push yourself so hard in your condition. Why don't you get some rest?" Sadril said as kindly as he could. By condition of course, he was hinting at Brianna's pregnancy, "As for me, I am going to get some rest," he said to everyone as he stod up from the table. He walked towards the stairway and began to climb the steps, not before looking an inconspicuous Hecate in the eye and nodding approvingly.
Sadril opened the door to his room, entered and locked the door behind. Sleeping was hardly what he had in mind. A second story window? In my room? How fortunate.
Hecate
Hecate satt calmly and quiet by his table, he watched the group through the reflection on the mug of ale. He could see the half-breed... the pregnant woman was sitting only feet away. He observed them all, including Deagan. He seemed to be apart of this group, so far it was at least six, seven with the man which went upstairs who had apparently been walking with the group as well. It was going to be hard. Deagan was a thief, the dunmer was clearly a warrior judging from his huge claymore, the two women looked like bow users, a elderly man was also along with the group, the breton had a nice looking Dwemer Crossbow and the last dunmer, looked rather like himself, theif or assassin.
He knew he would have to take the woman while she was alone, or at least with less than all seven of them.
Deagan, Inn
"Time to turn in..." Deagan said to the others
Deagan stood from his place at the table and thanked the barkeep for the meal, as he was walking to the stairs he looked around to make sure nobody was watching and then pinched a pouch full of gold off one of the patrons sitting at the bar. He tossed the gold and caught it before putting it into his pocket.
All too easy...
With a smile he climbed the stairs and entered one of the rooms, he took his weapons and stashed them in the dresser beside the bed. He kept with him a dagger which he slid under his pillow. He counted the twelve coins he'd just found and sat them in the chair beside the bed.
A full night of sleep would do him some good, he drifted off and fell asleep after only a few minutes...(but will it last till morning?)
Deagan, Inn
Deagan sat up from his bed quickly, shaking off the disorientation and pulling the dagger from under his pillow, nearly falling out of bed. He pointed the dagger toward the man stading in the corner but he couldn't see him clearly enough to tell who he was.
"What do you want? These are my private quarters." Deagan said angrily
Who the hell? It looks like...no it can't be...
Deagan breathed heavily as he stared at the silent man in the corner, waiting for him to say something...anything.
Telina, inn
Telina, who had been lost in her own thoughts, when Rahvin had asked her about Gorrmund, suddenly got back to reality again
.
"I sent Gorrmund back to Falkreath, simply beacuse, he can take care of himself, and Falkreath needs a ruler...and the fact that Agnar might send mroe assassins, after him, and Brianna, would force them to split up, giving the rest of us a batter chance to survive".
Telina looked around the room, feeling that her eyes started to slip, and then suddenly she was lost in the world of dreams.
OOC: Yes, for those who wonders, she is indeed sleeping.
Arygon was uncomfortable in such a quiet room, so he stood and walked over to the corner and picked up the Lute in the corner. He began playing a soulful song, with a quick beat and a happy tune. He Played quick and fast, sad and slow, happy, rapturous. He played his feelings, his thoughts his dreams, he played until the patrons were crying. He stopped bowed, and started again with a quick song quickly have the crowd pick up the beat, keeping tempo with his playing, I may be the worst in Valenwood right now, but here I'm probably the best they've seen... Arygon stopped "That was Wild Run from
Valenwood, in fact it's being played by me right now... I mean... I played it when I was there..." Arygon swore, he shouldn't have said anything about being in Valenwood right now, it would make them wonder...
Telina, with Rahvin
Telina, suddenly felt...something strange, even though she was sleeping, and suddenly it was as this inner voice talked to her..."Wake up", and then she sat herself upright.
She looked around a bit, and then in a chair sat..."Rahvin", she said..."what are you doing here".
Rahvin
Rahvin opened one eye. "You fell asleep at the table, so I carried you up here."
"And then I figured I'd sleep here for the night, unless you have any objections."
Rahvin
Rahvin pulled a nearby chair towards himself to use as a footrest. He propped his feet on it before replying.
"If anything happens, I'm sure you can just put an arrow to the back of his head." he said with a laugh, referring to the earlier battle between them.
Deagan, Inn
As Deagan's vision adjusted he could see exactly who stood before him yet he couldn't bring himself to believe it. As the man withdrew his hood Deagan was sure, his old partner had somehow survived the deadly blow he'd dealt so long ago.
What the hell? How can this be?
Deagan rolled to the side of the bed and stood quickly, still pointing his dagger toward Hecate.
"I thought you were dead...how did you..." Deagan was incredibly confused now and he remained on his guard
His main source of weapons was in the dresser beside Hecate and he didn't dare try to make it to them, he remembered the toxins that his old partner used on his blades.
Damn...didn't I kill you good enough the first time?
"So...how have you been old friend?" Deagan said with a short laugh, knowing that there was little else he could do right now he was giving up
Even now Deagan felt no guilt for stabbing Hecate, it seemed like the best thing to do at the time...
Rahvin
"What did you have in mind for me to tell you?" he asked, both taken aback and confused by the question.
What does she know? he asked himself silently.
Rahvin
"How do you know about any of that?" he asked a little more defensively than he had wanted.
Rahvin
"Emotions run high when fighting; I was probably just angry at that Arygon fellow for putting a bolt through my arm." he lied, not really wanting to tell his life story to an almost complete stranger. No matter how pretty that stranger might be.
Arygon stayed up on the stage playing music, and dancing until finally the bartender came over and paid him for entertaining the patrons. Arygon decided to get some more sleep and went up the stairs to the closest room with an unclosed door, and came upon Deagan looking furitive, and a man standing just in the door. " What are you doing here?" Arygon asked the man as he leveled his crossbow to the man's back. "I don't think you should move friend, I've been known to have a.. twitchy trigger finger..."
Rahvin
Rahvin nodded, glad that Telina dropped the subject without trying to force anything out of him.
"Good night." he said before drifting off into sleep.
Arygon stepped out of the way watching the man walk toward the door, " Next time, you should visit during the day. It might have... fatal consecqueses (sp) otherwise..." Arygon said watching the man carefully for anything that would be a scabbard or a knife holster...
Deagan, Inn
Deagan lowered his dagger, there would be no sleep for him tonight...even with Hecate gone he might come back during the night and take his revenge. Hecate didn't seem angered by the fact that he'd been betrayed by him...thats what bothered Deagan so much.
What the hell was that? There's no way I can sleep now...
As Deagan sat back on the edge of the bed he sighed and then stood quickly, moving around the bed and to the dresser. He took out his belongings and put them in their appropriate locations before heading for the door.
"Thanks Arygon, I owe ya one." Deagan said as he pushed past him and climbed down the stairs
Perhaps Hecate is still here...I need to find out what his reason is for being here...
Deagan, Inn
Deagan looked around the first floor of the Inn with no luck, Hecate was gone. He sat on a stool in front of the bar and ordered another drink.
"I'll have your finest...actually...better make that your cheapest." Deagan said to the barkeep with a slight laugh
He drank pretty heavily for a while and talked to the keep...it was likely that Hecate would return soon...he must have wanted something.
Arygon followed Deagan back down to the 1st floor, and went back to the stage to play the lute. Soon enough a rythmic melody was playing across the inn. Arygon considered inviting Brianna up to sing, as he had no talent in singing, but changed his mind after considering Brianna's sense of propritaries... (I can't remember the right spelling... even if that IS the word it supposed to be...)
OOC: The word is priorities.
Rahvin
Rahvin found himself crouching in a familiar corridor, the floor was lined with a plush red carpet that only served to absorb the sound of his footsteps. The torches around him didn't make him fear capture, because he knew exactly where the guards were.
He had the lock to his destination open in mere seconds, and poked his head in the door. He saw around him a lavish room with ornate furniture and fine belongings, but he ignored them all. He wasn't there for those.
He made his way to a door in the back corner that led to the washroom. He heard humming from behind the door that gave away his taret's position. After slowly opening the door, he continued in his stealthy fashion towards the bathing figure.
Rahvin was crouched behind the man for a few seconds before tightening his resolve. He put his dagger to the man's throat with one hand, and cupped his hand over the lord's mouth with the other.
"You won't order another death, now will you?" was all he said before dunking the man under the water of his own bath. He held on, keeping the man under despite all of the flailing, panic, and splashing. Soon, the movements slowed, and then stopped altogether.
-----
He awoked with a start, finding himself in the same chair in the inn, Telina sleeping soundly in the bed across the room. He stood and washed the sweat from his face in the nearby water basin. He was becoming worried, those dreams hadn't haunted him in years....
OOC: Not that... the word that has something to do with manners...
Arygon finished playing the song, and was extremely tired so he left the stage to head for the bedrooms. He climbed the stairs and having bad luck wth open doors, he opened a closed one. He looked in to see Rahvin washing his face off and Telina asleep in bed. If those two have a romance it's not my problem Arygon thought to himself. He continued on to the next room, and he dived into it and fell asleep.
Deagan, outside teh inn
Deagan stepped outside and looked around briefly before walking to a nearby house, he glanced around him and then climbed the trellis like he'd done so many times before. The window wasn't too high of the ground but it was just out of his reach from the ground, he slid the window up and crawled through slowly.
A man slept in the bed and there was a wanted poster on the desk next to a candle.
Damn posters...I'm practically famous in this town...not exactly famous I guess...
He searched carefully through the desk and grabbed a few gold coins before leaving out the window, there wasn't much in that place...just enough for another night at an inn somewhere.
Deagan considered leaving and going off on his own but decided against it as he climbed back down into the streets...he wouldn't be as safe alone, perhaps Hecate wanted trouble.
He stood on the street considering leaving...if he did he would have nowhere to go...and he decided that he might as well stay with them.
Deagan, streets
"Does anyone?" He said as he turned to Hecate with a forced smile
He shook his head slowly,
"Tell me my friend why have you gone through the trouble of tracking me down after all these years?" he asked
He looked around the dark streets, he knew that a fight would not be easy here and hoped it would not come to that but he kept his hand near his blade just in case.
Hopefully Hecate is over that little incident after all these years...but who in their right mind would forgive someone that tried to kill them?
Deagan, streets
"Yeah...the old days...what I wouldn't give..." He started but then stopped when Hecate continued
"You mean to tell me that you haven't been searching for me? You're probably the only one not out for me then..." Deagan asked with a slight hint of disbelief and sarcasm on the last bit
He slowly moved his hand away from his weapon, not a smart action but Deagan truly believed that this man didn't plan on hurting him...not now anyways.
"I don't plan to betray anyone...but I have had the opportunity several times already...it has been tempting. But still I resisted, perhaps I am different than when I worked with you." Deagan said unsure if he was being honest or just making a convincing lie
A guard was walking their way and Deagan stepped off into an alleyway to avoid being sighted, two hooded men talking in the street might arouse suspicion...and Deagan had a high bounty.
Deagan
Deagan leaned against the wall of the alley as the guard slowly passed in the street with a torch, he relaxed again after a few moments.
"Why am I still with them?" Deagan re-asked the question
He waited for a moment before answering since in reality he had no idea.
"I'll tell you when I figure that out...because I honestly don't know." Deagan said with a smile
I don't see how he doesn't hold a grudge against me...if I were him I would've tried killing myself by now...wait...killing me...errr...ah forget it.
"What exactly brings you around these parts anyways?" Deagan asked
Arygon was restless, and sleepless, a dream had woken him up. Of course like all dreams after the beginning it had falled into senselessness. Arygon stood, it seemed he would get no sleep these days. He wandered down the hall, looked into Telina's room to see Rahvin and Sadril talking Not my problem if thier planning... Arygon thought to himself. He continued on to the first floor, to find Brianna asleep in a chair. Isn't this familiar... Arygon thought as he picked up Brianna, and carried heer up the stairs to the room he was just in. He tossed her on the bed and went searching for Deagan, maybe since he owed him one Arygon would be able to make a ... profit out of it.
Deagan, streets
Deagan stared at Hecate and rubbed his unshaven chin. It wasn't hard to believe the accusations against either of the men within the group and Hecate probably was really here on business.
The vampire had gotten rather close with both of the women in the past few days and it seemed like he and Rahvin were on the verge of a clash the last few times they were all together.
"I'll take care of the vampire..." he said before pausing for a moment
"As for the dunmer...he is an assassin hired by the same man as I am. I will not raise my hand against him and I warn you not to either." Deagan said in a deep voice
He turned walked angrily toward the tavern before turning back to Hecate once again.
"You are sure that this is the same vampire?" He asked
I'll kill that bastarde vampire so I don't have to worry about him later...
Deagan, headed for teh inn
Deagan stood for a moment before responding.
"No...no you wouldn't." Deagan said knowing that Hecate was never wrong about a target, he never was
Damn...what the hell am I supposed to do? I can't just let the vampire stay with us without the others knowing what he might do...Hecate says that he's too powerful for me to take alone...
He walked to the inn and slowly pushed open the heavy door.
A quick glimpse of the vampire caused his heartbeat to rush. He restrained himself, forcing his hand away from his blade. He headed upstairs to seek out Rahvin, ignoring the fact that he was one of Hecate's targets.
If there was one person here that would understand and help him it would be Rahvin, even if he did have a disregard for life.
I have to tell somebody...Rahvin might know what to do...at least I sorta trust him...
Deagan knocked gently on the door that he'd seen Rahvin go in earlier and waited for some response before entering. He knew that Rahvin wouldn't be happy about being disturbed at this time of night but this was important.
Arygon watched Deagan walk back up the stairs, he had managed to heard some of the accusations and by warrant posters and Legionare talk most of what the other man had said was true. Arygon lifted his crossbow and followed Deagan up the stairs. How interesting...
Rahvin
Rahvin woke yet again, but this time to a quiet knock on his door. Grumbling, he stood and walked over to open the door.
"What do you want?" he asked upon seeing Deagan in the doorway.
Sadril; Tavern
Sadril made his way back down the stairs into the tavern area. As the night had grown on people had left the tavern. There were perhaps a few drunks lingering about, not including those of their own party who had not gone to their room yet.
Sadril passed Deagon and made eye contact as he made his way downstairs, There's suspicious look in his eye, fear ... desperation. Odd, but I'll drop it for now, I need a drink. He treated himself to some Nordic Mead, commonplace in Skyrim, and sat down at a table.
Telina, teh inn
Telina, heard the faint knock on the door, and awoke entirely, she had been almost woken, as she could remember someone having a terrible dream...Rahvin had a terrible dream, and she shivered, by the fact that she had unkowingly seen what happened in his dream.
She heard Rahvin asking Daegan, what he wanted, just in case, she grasped the hilt of her dagger, and pretended to be asleep.
Deagan, Inn
"I'm sorry to disturb you but this couldn't wait..." Deagan said, pushing past Rahvin into his room
Deagan stood in the corner of the room and glanced to Telina for a moment before returning his eyes to Rahvin.
At least she's safe...
"I ran into a sort of bounty hunter earlier...an old contact of mine. I thought he was dead...anyways that not the point...whats important is what he told me. Apparently he's been tracking Sadril for some time now...and not only because he's a vampire." Deagan stopped for a moment
"He told me that the reason he's been following our little vampire friend is because he's been tavelling around killing unsuspecting women...but he doesn't just outright kill them. My contact told me that Sadril becomes close friends with his victims first, getting them to trust him before he kills them...like a sport." Deagan paused again
"I think that might explain his reasons for sticking with us...I wanted to tell you first...I knew the others might panic." Deagan said as he took a breath and sighed
Deagan knew that his half thought out ramblings probably sounded insane but he hoped that Rahvin would get it and he wouldn't have to go over it again. He sat down on the edge of the bed facing Rahvin, waiting for him to speak.
Ranes, teh Tavern
Ranes sipped his mead quietly as he surveyed the tavern. He was begining to grow a bit suspiscious, as he constantly saw people from the party leaving and entering the tavern and going up or down stairs. And it was the folks he didn't trust too well, too. Maybe they were plotting something. Or maybe they just kept going out for fresh air or something.
Ranes sighed and shook his head. It was going to be a long trip, where ever they were going.
Deagan, Inn
"So you think its true then?" Deagan asked
Deagan scratched his head for a moment and watched Rahvin pull his dagger from the door.
Wonder how that dagger got there...probably best not to ask...
"I'll help you take care of him...but what do we do about him until we're ready?" Deagan asked
He planned out the death of the vampire in his mind but also kept in mind that Sadril had been granted many strengths through his disease...it wouldn't be as easy as Rahvin made it sound.
Deagan went beside the door as he waited for Rahvin's reply.
Rahvin
"Waiting until the right moment is the most important part; say, when he's stranded outside in daylight?"
"We'll discuss more later, but right now I would love to get a moment's sleep without another interruption."
Deagan, Inn
"Yeah I understand I haven't slept much within the last few days either..." Deagan said as he stepped out, closing the door behind him.
And I don't think I'll be able to sleep...I'm gonna keep an eye on that vampire for now...
Deagan went back downstairs and sat down at the bar to keep an eye out for Sadril. Before he knew it his head was down on the bar and he was catching up on lost sleep.
The only dreams that visited him were of the times that he'd worked with both Esethir and Hecate...he'd never betrayed Esethir...maybe he was different now.
Deagan found himself in a room with a dead noble on the bed, jewels and golden wares all around. He marveled at the riches before him...Hecate stood beside the bed and closed the nobles eyes.
The riches around the room taunted Deagan and he couldn't stand the thought of sharing the wealth...not even with his partner.
Now was the moment of betrayal, Deagan pulled his dagger and walked up behind his partner quietly. He grabbed Hecate and stabbed the dagger into his side, pushing upwards under his ribcage, he groaned and struggled but Deagan covered his mouth. Deagan slowly let Hecate to the floor and left him there alone to die.
He spoke to Hecate before packing up the wares around the room and exiting the window, his partner lay there dying on the floor as Deagan spoke what he thought would be his final words to Hecate.
"Sorry old friend...but sometimes partnerships must end." those last words echoed throughout Deagan's mind as he sat up from the counter sweating, his own words that night haunted him now after all these years.
It had only been a few hours and exhaustion was showing its effects clearly upon him.
I can't take much more of this...I need to sleep...
Deagan, Inn
Deagan half jumped at the sound of the vampire's voice. He withheld the words he really wanted to say, Sadril seemed friendly enough but perhaps that was the point.
"I can't sleep...or else I would..." Deagan said as he rubbed his eyes
"Damn dreams...not the good ones." He said
He looked around the room slowly, either he hadn't been asleep long or the people at this tavern simply haven't moved...it could've been either.
"You ever think of the people you've killed? They ever haunt you?" Deagan asked, trying to arouse some emotion in the vampire
Deagan only trying to make conversation with him to keep him within sight. Sadril seemed like a good enough guy but Rahvin said he'd threatened the women...that on top of what Hecate had told him made a convincing case against him.
The best thing to do is to keep him here...
Deagan, Inn
A couple more rounds from the barkeep and he was awakened a bit more, it seemed that the more he drank the less tired he was...something about the Inn's specially made booze. It still didn't make up for his lack of sleep but it did help.
Unfortunately he drank so much that it also made him rather intoxicated and he started speaking freely about his thoughts with the vampire.
"Sometimes I think back and wonder if the people I killed might have...invented a better rat trap or something...they might have done something that changed the world for the better and I killed them for bag of gold...sometimes two...rather large bags usually...and pies...yes, yes....the pies..." Deagan rattled on and on about random thoughts that passed through his mind as he stared at Sadril
He didn't know if the vampire was listening and he didn't really think about it either...he just needed to talk.
"Lots of people hunting you then? Must be hard being a vampire...without pies and such...you know I saw someone earlier that was looking for you...an old partner of mine...yes he likes pies as well...man I wonder whats in this drink..." Deagan said
This was worse than any booze he'd ever had in his life, like there was some special ingrediant in the drink.
Hecate
Hecate watched as Deagan went into the tavern with a smile on his face.
This might work, as long as Deagan plays along.
Hopefully thought, Deagan wouldn't screw things up. He really didn't want Deagan to attack the Vampire, what he wanted less was that Deagan would be killed in the attempt. He would have to stick close to the group, but without drawing any attention.
That could work... Hecate thought and started walking against the alleyway where he'd seen the Breton that gave him the job...
Arygon stood off to the side as Deagan left Rahvin's room, glanced in the door to check on Rahvin, and was happily surprised to see him asleep. Arygon went downt the stairs and watched Deagan down liqour as if his life depended on it. Sadril soon joined him, and Arygon decided that it would be a good time to find Deagan's informant. Arygon left the Inn and headed toward the alley, in which, he had seen Deagan talking to the other man...
Cerpin
Cerpin dismounted his black horse and inspected the area. There was a cave, footprints everywhere, and there was a large amount of blood staining the boulder he was inspecting. It almost looked as if someone died on that rock.
The trail ended here. Or that's what he thought until he looked a little harder.
Southeast. he thought. Towards Lainlalten. Damn, they can cover their tracks...a challenge, at last?
Cerpin shivered in the cold; his usual tactic did have its dowsides. His current body was so small and frail. He hated it, but he endured it, for when he decided to switch bodies with a strong opponent, that opponent would find himself very weak indeed.
Rahvin
Rahvin tried to sleep, but it wasn't happening. his brain was too active. There were so many worries, so many questions.
Why were his dreams returning? What side was Sadril really on? Would he really try to hurt Telina or Brianna?
Eventually, he gave up on sleep and just sat in the chair, looking around the room.
Arygon watched a shadowy man step out to talk to Deagan's Friend Arygon crept closer, activated his chameleon and walked to a house and climbed up, and stood above the two as they talked. Arygon decided it would be interesting to hear what Deagan's friend's boss would have to say. Arygon made sure that he was in a position to see where each went after talking...
Deagan, Inn
He stopped rambling for a moment as Sadril talked with him about pies and asked a question about his partner.
"Oh...Hecate, once I stabbed him...long time ago...didn't kill him though...." Deagan said in a slurred tone
He took a few more drinks before the barkeep cut off his supply of liquor.
"I'm telling you there's somethin in the booze...oh my partner? Just met him again today...hunting a vampire in town...(Mumbles)...murderer...(mumbles)...Sadril...man I need some sleep..." Deagan's mind was clouded now and his vision was blurred badly, he could hardly tell what he was saying after that, Sadril didn't seem to understand what he said last but he continued anyways
It took all he had to remain on the stool. He stared at Sadril, which had become a constantly swaying blob before him.
"You know what I mean?" He asked
"There's always something wrong!" Arygon called from the rooftop down to the pair standing together. "Now, now don't you slink away on me." Arygon slid down the side of the housing as he did this and landed just in front of the alley entrance. Seeing his fellow thiefs drawn dagger, Arygon pulled out his own glass dagger, and left his other hand hanging where it could reach the Ebony throwing stars on his belt...
Hecate
"Why so aggressive, Breton?" Hecate said sheathing his dagger before turning to the Breton who already had his blades drawn...
"Something wrong?"
Arygon watched the man sheath his blades, Sucker to him if he has to fight me Arygon thought to himself. "I was wondering, what exatly are you trying to do by informing Deagan of... motives... of the other people he was with? Oh, yes I wouldn't mind if you killed the vampire." Arygon watched carefully, if the man moved in the wrong way the throwing star would be in the air before you could say "Kiiewdi"...
"Of, course if I was a coward I would run... So SUPRISE!" Arygon threw a fireball, then a Dwemer blasting charge and RAN FOR HIS LIFE! I might protect the ladies, but I'm not a knight, just a thief with a problem.. Arygon thought to himself as he ran...
Brianna, tavern
Brianna was awakened by sudden movements inside her....."the baby", but wasnīt it a bit too early to feel movements already? The pregnancy really didnīt show yet....not at all, her body was thin and slender as it always had been....
She felt an urge to go to the bathroom so she went outside the room and walked down the corridor. A door a bit further down was not properly closed so she pushed it opened and noticed Telina sleeping on a bed with Rahvin sitting in a chair beside.....he was staring right into the air....
"Heīs haunted.....by his past, and that past is not very pleasant......but heīs innocent!"
Brianna shrugged, another premonition....she had grown tired of always being able to look into peopleīs minds....unvoluntarily!
"Why is he innocent? Innocent of what? Ahhh I canīt get it!"
"Rahvin!.....are you ok?" she said in a low voice, not wanting to wake Telina....
Hecate
Hecate swiftly went down, only feeling the immense heat of the hurling fireball going above him before he stood up, he didn't not run after the man thought.
Telina, the innzrz
"There is no need to talk low, Brianna, I'm aleready awake", Telina said with a slight grin.
"I feel like I want some fresh air, so I wont be long", then she dressed up, and walked into the cold night.
There was something...somethign unusual, a tense atmosphere, like something was happening.
Arygon came around the last corner and ran, almost, into Telina. "Oh, hello, Bit buzy, come back upstairs! Bye!" Arygon said as he ran past, stopped in the main section, "Come up here Sadril!" Arygon called as he ran up the stairs, tripped and fell into Rahvin/Telina's room...
"Hello Rahvin, it seems your bounty for the penal colony is a bit higher than expected. There's a pair of people looking for you and the..." Arygon stopped talking as so he could yell "Sadril get up here you lazy cur!" Arygon turned back to Brianna and Rahvin "...as I was saying the men ae after you and Sadril... and one of them appear to be a friend of Deagan's." Arygon turned waiting for Sadril to get up the stairs...
Brianna, in the doorway of the room where Rahvin is and Telina is exiting
"Arygon? what is it? why are you so upset?"
Then as Telina walked past her she felt something warm and wet run down her legs.....
"NOOOOOO, it canīt be .....not now!"
OOC: The unborn child senses the evil threat....
Rahvin
Rahvin didn't move from his current position except to look at Arygon who had just entered his room unasked and uninvited.
"So do you want me to get up and run out of town or something? Because quite frankly, two men don't seem like much of a threat, and I'm too damned tired to leave right now."
Arygon blinked, Oh, right. Rahvin the lazy assassin. Arygon thought to himself. "Well, Sadril. Rahvin can fill you in I'm gone looking for them... again." Arygon stepped around Sadril, and walked down the stairs, out the door and into the street. He traveled back to the alley way, and followed the footprints into the slums, where there were dozens of paths going in all directions. This is going to take a while Arygon thought to himself.
Brianna
"Could you please give me that blanket over there?" Brianna slowly sank down on the floor pressing her legt tightly together....
"Donīt show anything.....donīt let them see whatīs happening...Itīs gonna be ok...Itīs gonna be ok"
Rahvin
"Here." he said, reaching towards the bed, and taking a blanket off it. He figured that Brianna was just cold; it would account for her holding her legs so close together.
He tossed her the blanket and didn't give it another thought.
Brianna
"Thanks" she muttered, wrapping the blanket tightly around her legs and back. The dark blanket was very convenient, the blood-stains wouldnīt show!
"Stanna där du är lilla barn, det är inget att vara rädd för...stanna kvar bara...stanna kvar"
Brianna whispered the spell in such a low voice that nobody could hear, the spell that would calm things down inside her.....the spell that made the bleeding stop and the unborn child to calm down again.
"So what now?" she asked calmly "Whatīs this about two men coming?"
Her eyes were dim from lack of sleep and so was her brain.....
Brianna, sitting on the floor trying to hide.......things
Brianna went cold when she hears Sadril asking her if she was OK..
"Darn it.....the vampire! He surely smells the blood.....God help me.....this is the end!"
"I...Iīm ok, thank you" she answered with a trembling voice, "Just need to sit down for a while"
Rahvin
After watching the exchange between Sadril and Brianna, he figured that she was hiding a wound under that blanket. If she wanted it hidden though, he wasn't going to bring it up.
"Apparently, there's two men after me." he said in answer to Sadril. "As if that's something to worry about. And Arygon? Hopefully he's far away by now."
MAZE
Maze was making his way towards the city of Lainlalten... he had no idea why... it was as if he was being summon there... witch realy did not bother him at the moment... as long as he got to kill...and kill soon... since his blades have not tasted blood in a long time now...
Maze took a deep breath... the moist and cold air filled his lungs... he stared at his black cloak... it was covered in snow... god how much he wished it was covered in blood... he started to make his way down the road... and by morning he would have arrived at the city of Lainlalten...
Deagan, Inn
In all the confusion inside the tavern Deagan grew uncomfortable, as Sadril left him he waited for a few minutes before standing. He struggled to stand and slowly climbed the stairs, falling forward on his hands several times along the way.
When he reached the top of the stairs he leaned into the room that seemed to contain nearly the entire group. He supported himself with his hands on opposite sides of the door frame.
I need to kick this drinking habit...
He blinked and shook his head slightly as his eyes adjusted to the light in the room.
"Whud I miss?" Deagan said unsure of exactly what was happening
Everyone seemed nervous and tired...
Arygon after breaking into sevral houses decided that the next one would be the last for the night, as the previous one had a guard-dog that nearly chewed through his chitin glove. He opened the door to a small room with a dresser in the corner, a bed, a small table and a few boxes. How useless this search is. Arygon thought to himself. And decided to take his rage out on the dresser by kicking the side of the dresser. A dull thump, and Arygon walked out of the shack fuming with hurting toes...
Ranes, Tavarn!!1!1!11 (
)
Ranes decided to head upstairs, things were way to quiet down here, aside from a few drunken Nords, and everyone and their grandmother seemed to be going up and down from the upstairs. Something was going on, and he really didn't trust some of those he had seen going back and forth from it.
The Dunmer's metal-clad feet made audible thumps as he proceded up the stairs and to where everyone had gathered - with a drunken looking Deagan hanging around just outside of it. He stood beside Deagan and leaned into the room.
"We got some kind of party going on in here I wasn't invited too? I thought we got seperate rooms for a reason folks..."
Rahvin
"So Ranes does speak. Deagan, you owe me a hundred gold coins." he said, both making a joke and trying to take advantage of Deagan's intoxicated state.
Deagan, Inn
Deagan looked at Rahvin with a confused look on his face, he seemed deep in thought and lost at the same time.
I don't remember making a bet...ah I probably did...
"I don't seem to have any money on me..." Deagan said in a slurred voice, he didn't seem to realize that Rahvin was toying with him
"Another time perhaps...for now lets go downstairs and buy a drink shall we? You buy...the barkeep cut me off..." Deagan said slowly and seriously
Sasal Valor, proceding to inn
Sasal hummed a hymn he had recited once on a book about ashlanders in vvardenfel as he walked in on the road. Snow was falling, and it melted as soon as it hit sasal's cloak. His smile was shrouded and confined to him self as he walked, crunching the snow as he took each step. Soon he noticed in the horizon a man in the falling white and black twilight of the trees around, thus breaking his smile to a cautious stare with lips pursed.
