OOC: and so it begins...

Rann

Rann trudged in the snow, his hood pulled far over his face to keep the snow off of it. He came upon Bruma's gate, and sighed with relief; the mojority of the trip was over. Unless, of course, the target had already left the city.

The countess had sent him once again to kill someone. This time it was a murderer. His target and another man had killed four children in Stendarr's Chapel in Chorrol. That was enough to make Rann's blood boil.

He stepped into Olav's Tavern and pulled up his sleeve; his tattoo was how the informant would recognize him.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Oct 28 2006, 08:23 PM

Flogir, talking to Olav

"You wouldn't BELIEVE the price this Imperial was asking for these pair of shoes, Olav! Fifthteen septims. FIFTHTEEN!! I asked him if he was trying to rob me, which he replied in that snotty Imperial superiority way, "No." Hmph! Like I was going to let that go. So ya know what I did?" Flogir asked Olav, whose answer was a blank look.

"I told him they're 25 septims, take it or leave it, really emphasising "take it" mind you. And he took 'em ha!" he said, slamming the table in mirth.

A cold gust of wind caught his attention towards the doorway. He noticed the man that trudged in was exposing a tattoo. Realising it was time to get to work, Flogir excused himself from Olav and waved over at the tattooed man.

Rann

Rann covered his arm again upon noticing the nord. He motioned to a table in the back corner of the tavern and sat down in it, waiting for the informant to follow.

Rahvin

Rahvin, on the other hand needed no informant. He had followed the second murderer all the way from Chorrol. The man had managed to stay one step ahead if him so far, but that was about to end.

The man had taken refuge in Leyawiin, more specifically, the Five Claws Lodge. This would be an easy catch.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Oct 28 2006, 08:40 PM

Flogir

Flogir finished off his mug of ale before heading to the back table where his corespondant awaited him. Serious matters were to be discussed and Flogir felt quite certain the man didn't have the time for idle chit chat.

He pulled out the chair opposite of the man and sat down, giving him a level look. He offered his hand.

"The name's Flogir. I hear you want some information."

Posted by: Dantrag Oct 28 2006, 08:45 PM

Rann

"I'm...Sel." he lied, shaking the man's hand. "I need to know about an imperial man coming from Chorrol. The one that kills children."

OOC: I won't be around until later tonight. I'm going to go hang out with some friends.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Oct 28 2006, 08:55 PM

Flogir

Flogir grimaced sourly on the topic of information after shaking the mer's hand. He knew about this character arriving in town.

"Killing children... What is the world coming to," he muttered to himself.

He turned his attention back to the Dark Elf.

"The guy you're looking for is hiding out in the basement of one of his friend's place. The friend is Dovram Rels. His house is to the left of the Jerall View Inn, bottom level."

OOC: No problem, I gotta closeup at work anyways now. And I just realised I've been referring to (basically) a Dark Elf as a man (eek!), I'll remember to call him a mer now. Also, since Flogir has lived in Cyrodil all his live, he doesn't have much of a Nordish accent wink.gif

Flint Ironwood, nearing Chorrol.

A lone wagon rolled forward over the highway. Its lone occupant was a Breton in his late forties. He whistled a simple tune while enjoying the breeze. With an odd smile, he looked at the wares behind him. Two katanas lie on top of a black pile of clothes.

"If you don't use it anymore. Sell it. It is the best piece of work you ever made. Besides, you're too old to run around getting your head knocked off." Flint smiled as he remembered the words his wife had spoken. They were true, yet it still felt odd to sell his old gear. His thoughts wandered off to the bussiness he would do at Chorrol. With some luck, he could get a good deal.
"I will miss my stuff. Yup, a man just loves his sword. Even more when has got two."

Luper Alkad, Skyrim border.

A lone man walked casually through the snow. The air formed a frosty cloud as it left his lungs. He stopped in front of a door placed in the side of a mountain.
,,I know you're in here! Open the door now!" He shouted. There was no answer.

The man displayed a preditorial grin.
"This is going to be fun." He thought to himself as he placed his shoulder against the securely locked door. He pushed and the wood buckled under his strength. He stepped over the remains of the door and looked at the three Nords standing before them.
,,Are you Korhim, also known as the Leinlalten plague? I hate to dissappoint you, but your medicine has arrived." The Darkskinned man said smugly.

The Nord who was known as Korhim laughed.
,,My medicine? You and what army?" He boomed. Luper revealed his grin once more as his right hand rose to point at Korhim's heart.
,,I am my own army. And that line was old back in the time of Nerevar Indoril." He replied. A thin stream of fire shot from his hand and punched through the Nord, coming out of his back and drilling a hole in the rock wall. The Nord sank to the ground, death before he realized what had hit him.
,,As for you two, clean up this mess and then go back to drinking in the taverns." Luper informed the death Nord's companions before swiftly turning around and leaving.

Outside, he yawned.
"Where is the challenge? I can take these simple thugs silenced, drunk, blinded, hands tied to my back and paralyzed."

Satyana, at home in Chorrol

"Ah crap! It´s no use, I can´t concentrate on this anyway" Satyana muttered and closed the book. She rose to her feet and did some stretching to loosen up her muscles.

"Maybe I should go for a walk"

She knew perfectly well it might not be safe walking around downtown this late but just now she didn´t care, she was convinced she could look after herself......she thought she might go outside town to practise that ghastly spell .....

Satyana put on a thick woolen coat, the weather had gotten worse, snow was falling and a cold wind blew around the buildings as she entered the dark street. Thus it was refreshing...

Flint Ironwood, Chorrol.

Flint arrived at Chorrol just before the gates were closed. He looked around at the buildings rising up into the air.
,,First things first. Let's find a place to spend the night." He muttered to himself as he made the wagon move again.

Posted by: minque Oct 28 2006, 10:47 PM

Satyana walking the streets of Chorrol

Satyana heard the sounds of a wagon.....it did not scare her but she wondered who on Nirn would arrive in the city this late. Chorrol usually was a very quiet town, not many visitors were coming.

She stopped for a while; yes the wagon was coming her way. Curiosity made her step out into the street a bit further, just to have a look.....

Posted by: jack cloudy Oct 28 2006, 10:58 PM

Flint Ironwood, Chorrol

Flint saw how someone approached. His old thief instincts kicked in at first but he soon dismissed them. He was sensing curiosity, not a threat. He halted the wagon and waved at the young woman.
,,Hello there. I was just wondering, do you perhaps know a place where I can rent a room for the night?" He asked cheerfully. What he didn't saw, where the two Thieves guild members sneaking in from behind.

(So, should Flint mistake her for Brianna?)

Posted by: minque Oct 29 2006, 12:15 AM

OOC: Why not? She kinda resembles her mother, tall slender with hair that glowes red in the light from the lanterns! tongue.gif

Satyana, Chorrol

The wagon stopped by her side and she noticed someone waving at her, then asking her about accomodations in the city.

"Hail to ser, well there is the Gray Mare Inn of course....but they might be fully booked by now due to the festivities this coming weekend...then there is the Lokken Tavern ....just turn left at the corner here....by the way I´m going there right now so you could follow me if you like!"

Satyana was cheerful, the man sounded nice and she was in for a talk right now after spending almost the entire day alone in her chambers, studying

OOC:yeah yeah I don´t know any Taverns in Chorrol so I made this one up!

QUOTE(The Metal Mallet @ Oct 28 2006, 03:55 PM) *

Rann

Rann nodded. "He won't be killing anyone else." he said flatly. He placed a bulging bag of coins on the table. "From my employer. I don't know you, you don't know me."

That last part was very important; if the Countess of Bruma knew that Countess Valga was going out of her jurisdiction in doling out justice, there would be a pretty large rift in Cyrodiil. A rift that the weakening Empire couldn't handle.

He didn't give or recieve a farewell from Flogir, he merely stood and left, going straight for the target's hiding place. If he was lucky, he'd get back to Chorrol in time for the feast.

Rahvin

Rahvin stepped into the inn, not caring for stealth at the moment. He didn't want to perform the task in an inn.

"How much for a room?" he asked the innkeeper.

"Thirty gold for the night."

Rahvin fiddled around in his pockets until he found the coins. He handed them over in exchange for a room key. He gave a description of his target to the innkeeper and asked where he was staying. She told him what room he was in.

"Have a good night." he told her before going down the hall towards his own room. He had the perfect plan. One that exploited Imperial Law for his own purposes.

Veric

So there are two possible outcomes in the prophecy. he thought to himself, pouring over the pages of the ancient book. It is the choice of the three children. They can join me or oppose me, and that determines the outcome...

He sighed, and instantly changed his appearance to that of Haldin's. Or, more specifically, what Haldin looked like twenty years ago. The man's image was burned into his mind. He was the last person he had seen in twenty years.

OOC: I'm going out again. Be back later tonight.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Oct 29 2006, 01:35 AM

Flogir

Flogir took the bag of coins quickly, and tied it to his waist belt. By the time he had it fastened and he looked up once more, the Dark Elf was all ready walking out the door.

"Good luck," he whispered.

He decided that he would spend the night in Bruma, then take his business elsewhere. Now that he had met with his correspondant, there wasn't much point in sticking around. Business generally wasn't as good up here.

At least, there were always exceptions.

Voltar, at his hideaway north of Anvil along the coastline

Voltar poured through the pages of a rather large book, eyes rapidly scanning the pages, searching for the answers he wanted. He felt so close to discovering what was needed to be done.

He knew he had the tools necessary, now that he possessed the Staff of Worldly Demise, of which he kept nestled between the crook of his arm. Now he needed only to implement his skills correctly and thus would he create a very powerful union.

Soon..., was all he could repeat in his mind.

Posted by: Dantrag Oct 29 2006, 04:10 AM

Rann

Rann came upon the house, and he crept around the outside of it, peeking through the windows to see where its inhabitants were. There were some lanterns burning, but he didn't see anyone.

Must be in the cellar. he thought to himself.

He deftly picked the lock on the front door, and once inside he put out all the lanterns. He didn't want any outsiders seeing a person killed through a window.

He made his way to the cellar door, which was also locked. With a bit more effort this time, he picked the lock and slowly opened the door.

Rahvin

Rahvin never actually went inside his room. He stood in the hallway, waiting for the patrons to start coming from the common area to their beds. He could find a likely helper among them.

"Hey, you." he said to a young breton about his son's age. "I'll give you a hundred gold to tell the guards that a murderer from Chorrol is in that room right there." he said, pointing to the room. Rahvin pulled out his coin pouch and handed the breton twenty pieces. "The rest will come when you do it. Meet me in my room once the guards leave."

He breton took the coins and ran off. Rahvin knew there was a chance that he would take the gold and run, but a person that young would do almost anything for a hundred gold.

Flint Ironwood, chorrol.

,,I'll try this Lokken tavern. Thank you, Brianna." Flint said when the woman got close enough for him to recognize. He fell silent right after.
"Wait, did I just call her Brianna? No, this isn't her. It's been twenty years, Brianna couldn't possibly be this young. But the resemblance is eerie."

The thieves now crouched at the back end of the wagon.

Luper Alkad, Leinlalten.

Luper had just collected his pay and left the city. He saw the ruins of the original Leinlalten just over a nearby hill.
"Whoever did that must have been one big Cliffracerfreak."

He turned south, towards Cyrodiil. According to a few rumours, there was some festival coming soon. A party sounded like fun. He took off at a quick pace.

Posted by: Tellie Oct 29 2006, 11:21 AM

Amrita, chorrol.

Amrita smiled as she walked through the streets of Chorrol. People were so easy to scare away if one onl had a good piece of steel with you.

Without a second thought the young woman entered the tavern. She had a god feeling that something would happen here soon, so she drew her hood over her head, and sat down in a dark corner, listening to conversations, while her greip around one of her concieled daggers fastened.

Posted by: Dantrag Oct 29 2006, 02:26 PM

Rann

Rann crept down the stairs to the cellar. There was a dim glow in the cellar, due to the glow of a single candle slowly burning itself out. His target slept comfortably on a mattress that was thrown on the floor.

Rann pulled a dagger from his belt and crept closer. He whispered in the man's ear, "Die, bastarde."

No sooner had the said the words than a dagger found its way across the murderer's neck. With his grim duty done, Rann went back up the stairs and exited the house through a window.

He ran out of the city unseen. Nobody would know of the murder for at least an hour or two.

Rahvin

It didn't take long for three guards to appear in the hallway telling him loudly to 'stand back'. He did so, and watched the scene unfold.

The man didn't have enough gold to pay the fine, as Rahvin expected, so he had no choice but prison. The guards bound him with iron shackles and began escorting him away. They exited the inn and were walking outside in the dark city.

Rahvin waited awhile before following. He got ahead of the group unseen, running silently behind houses and businesses. He hid in an alley ahead of them, waiting.

When the guards and his target got close enough, he threw a dagger. It hit its mark, burying itself in the man's eye.

The guards panicked, ordering a search, but Rahvin was already halfway out of the city. Once he reached the forest, nobody could find him.

Jonathon Constantine

"Thirty septims?!are you flipping mad Joric?" The big burly Nord simply nodded is head, showing no sign of swaying in his deal. "Curse the Nine! There just a pair of old boots man. Or, wait, are Nords men? Anyways thats trifling 'nother matter. Do you understand that I've no boots, and that I've been wearing this flimsy sandals up in this damnable frigid.. waist land that you call home? No.. no, what do you care, your all holed up in this nice warm shop, unaffected by how the Count wishes to treat us common folk like garbage!"

The Nord simply shrugged, "Do you have the thirty septims or am I going to have to beat it out of you?"

Within moments Jonathan was face first in the snow outside the shop, devoid of any shoe. "honoured user just trying to bring the proletariat down.." He mumbled to himself as he trudged down the frosty streets of Bruma.

Satyana, at Lokken Inn, Chorrol

She stared at the man....

"Did he call just call me Brianna?....That´s...that´s unbelievable! Did he know my mother?

"Ehhrrmm....Ser....My name is Satyana, but my real mother´s name was Brianna...She died when I was born..But...but did you by any chance know her?"

Satyana trembled severely, she never knew her biological mother, but Grandma Serene hed told her about Brianna the mage who together with a couple of men and women ran for her life. Satyana had just heard fragments of their flight but one thing was certain, Brianna did not survive the birth of her child.

Now this stranger called her `Brianna`that meant he probably met her mother, because she had been that kind of person; if you once met her you remembered her!

Satyana put her hand on the stranger´s arm

"Please tell me, did you meet my mother?"

Then she spotted a shadow beneath the wagon....

"Watch it!" she screamed "There´s someone behind you"

OOC: Satyana to the rescue? If you disapprove Jack, I´ll edit!

Flint Ironwood, Chorrol.

Flint had realized his slip-up.
,,Well, I..." He bit off his reply to jump off the wagon and spin around. In a whirl of Magicka, a Daedric bow with matching arrow took shape.
,,Get away from my goods, now! If you want to steal it, fine. Just wait till I've sold it, ok?" He snapped at the two would-be thieves who wisely ran off to search easier prey. Daedric weapons had a bad reputation among those without any armour.

Flint sighed as he allowed the bow and arrow to vanish.
,,Yeah, I knew Brianna. I just didn't know she died after birth. Last time I saw her, she appeared to be sleeping. It must have happened after I left." He spoke as he turned to Satyana.
,,Now I see. You do look like her child. One of the three. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier. Flint Ironwood, smith by trade." He continued with a bow.

(No, I don't disaprove. I was actually rather hoping that Satyana would notice the thieves. If not, I would have let Flint chase them. Now, does she know that she's not Brianna's only child?)

Posted by: minque Oct 29 2006, 05:17 PM

Satyana

"Three???, Oh great divines.....Are you telling me I have two siblings?"

Satyana looked at Flint..then her eyes turned upwards and the world turned black around her and she fell to the ground unconscious..

OOC: As you now understand, Satyana had no idea that she is one of three! Now it´s getting interesting tongue.gif

Flint Ironwood, Lokken Tavern in Chorrol.

Flint looked down on the fallen woman.
,,Oh, this is just great. I meet Brianna's daughter and I cause trouble again. Way to go, Flint." He told himself angrily. He then picked up Satyana and put her in his wagon.
,,Looks like I'll be paying for two rooms tonight."

The Lokken tavern fortunately wasn't full and Flint parked his wagon at the back. He put Satyana in the bed of one room and then brought his goods to the other room. He locked the door behind him and went to Satyana's room where he sat down at the bed and patiently waited for her to regain consciousness.

OOC: It seems things are ready for the next day, so I'm going to start Flogir's day. If your characters are still doing stuff in the night, then just ignore this until it's appropriate.

Flogir

Flogir woke early in the morning to the patrons of the Inn talking with each other. Curious, he asked the nearest person, a Breton, what was going on.

"The town guard found someone murdered in the basement of Dovram's home!" the Breton exclaimed.

Flogir could barely suppress a smile, yet he was able to change his smile to a solemn expression. "That's terrible. Who is it?"

"They don't know, the guard is trying to find Dovram but he's seemed to have disappeared. It's very odd," the Breton answered.

"Well, we'll just have to just in the town guard in figuring this out. I don't think we'll need to fear anything, though," Flogir said in a comforting manner. "I have to be off; I need to leave right away if I intend to get to the shindig in Chorrol in time. I have a feeling I can make a few good sales there."

With that, Flogir gathered up his things and left Olav's to prepare his journey to Chorrol. It wasn't until he was well down the road from Bruma that he showed his happiness that Sel was successful.

Satyana, waking up

Satyana slowly regained consciousness, but seemed rather dizzy and could not focus at first. Then she turned her head and noticed the strange man sitting beside her on....a bed! Apparently he brought her into some room..She felt a sting of fear, but then again he must have been sitting beside her for quite some time. The room was rather dark....Satyana then remembered what made her faint in the first place....

Three babies! So she obviously was not a single child! Why didn´t Serene tell her that? What was the reason to hida such a fact?

"Serjo! " Satyana turned to the man beside her, " Tell me about my mother ..."

She sat up on the bed, tucked the blanket tighter around her and prepared for a long night

OOC: got to go now, work tomorrow! good night!

Flint Ironwood, telling a story.

Flint nodded while his face frowned in deep thought.
,,Hmm, well it all started when A Skyrim lord called Agnar wanted to kill a rival of his, Jadier and his son Gormund. Brianna was in the service of this Jadier. Jadier died but his son escaped with his friends, including your mother. Agnar then hired assassins to go after them. I have to admit to my shame that I was one of those assassins though I bailed out the moment I realized we were doing an assassination here. I ran off and joined up with your mother's group."

Flint paused for a moment.
,,Agnar died later. With their source of payment gone, the assassins either left us or joined up. We then got to find out that Agnar wasn't the bad guy and that Jadier hadn't been the real target. Brianna was the target, and it was because some Breton called Veric wanted to kill her to prevent her children's birth. We ran all the way from Skyrim to Bruma where you and your sister and brother were born. Veric arrived at the same time so we couldn't escape. Don't ask me how, but somehow we managed to beat him. Not even a single bit of ash remained."

Flint gulped, now came the hard part.
,,I don't know about the timing, but it was good. Some girl named Salina arrived and took off with your sister. I don't know why really. Anyway, we decided to split you up for your own safety. Your brother went with a young Dunmer called Rahvin while you went with your grandmother. I myself went back to High Rock to start my own family. I thought that Brianna had come with you, till now."
He looked Satyana straight in her familiar eyes.
,,You are not an only child. You can blame us for what we did but we don't regret our choice. As for Brianna, I never really knew her that well. You should ask Serene when you next meet her. She'll know."

(And I'm off to bed. Wow, that was a long story. I hope I got things right.)

Rann

Rann had run almost all night as far as he could before finally collapsing in a cave that was closer to Chorrol than Bruma. He fell asleep almost instantly as the exhaustion overwhelmed him. He figured he was far enough away from Bruma to be free from any suspicion. Nobody knew who he was or that he had even been in Bruma. Except, of course, the informant. That helped him sleep fairly well.

Rahvin

Rahvin headed through thick forest, heading northwest towards Bravil. He knew it wouldn't take more than a couple of days travel on foot, and luckily he had left his horse in Bravil, making the journey take even less time.

Posted by: Channler Oct 30 2006, 12:38 AM

Jonathan Constantine

"Rotten honoured user.. Whats he think I'm made of money or something?" Jonathan stood brooding by one of the Bruma gates, he was shaken out of his pouting by a nudge on his shoulder. "Aww, Lila, well I suppose if I have you everything is alright?" John was almost wistful that the horse would answer, companions were short now-a-days. After all, being a thief, rogue, robber, drunk, horse thief, gambler, hilly-nilly"--That one was his favorite, earned after he manage to... liberate a couple bottles of brandy from this old ladies kitchen.--poacher and a generally all-round ladies man, which usually only seemed to murder his reputation wherever he went. "Bastards just don't understand."

"So deary, where to now?" He rubbed the soft under belly of the horse, at twelve hands high she was a beaut. Carefully groomed in all, and as graceful any 'pure' Cyrodillic breed. They became close companions during his return trip to his father's stead, and near inseparable. "I'm thinking Chorrol.. Why? Oh, I don't know, possibly my british boat won't be frozen down there. Maybe I could find some shoes?" One glance at Lila's hooves made Jonathan change his prior statement, "Or rather maybe we could find some shoes." The horse snorted indescribably, blinking her big black eyes.

As the two clopped their way outside the gates Jonathan finalized the decision. Chorrol would be good.. and hopefully warm.

Rann

Rann woke up the next day at about noon. Grumbling to himself about sleeping too much, he got dressed again and started back towards Chorrol.

After entering the city, he headed straight for the castle to report to Countess Valga. He noted his father's horse, and couldn't believe that he had getten here first. He entered the throne room to see that Rahvin was already there, speaking with the countess. Both of them turned to regard him as he came in, both asking the same question, thought it was unspoken.

"It's done." he said in answer.

The countess nodded, "Without being seen?"

Rann nodded.

"Good." she answered. "Now I have business to attend to. I'll see you both at the feast tomorrow."

Neither Rann nor Rahvin bowed upon exiting, as was customary; they were too familiar with and to important to the countess for her to complain much about it.

"So what are you doing today?" he heard his father ask.

Rann shrugged. "I don't know. I figure I'll back to my house and get cleaned up before anything else."

"You love saying 'my house' don't you?" Ravhin asked with a laugh.

"Beats saying 'your house'." he retorted before parting ways to go towards his house.

Rahvin

Rahvin was left chuckling as he walked down the road, towards the Lokken Inn. He could always get the best deal on brandy there.

Flogir

The journey from Bruma to Chorrol was pleasant despite the cold. Flogir spent the trip admiring the scenery as the mountains of the Jeralls slowly turned into lush forest as he approached Chorrol. If he left his mind to wander, it would only bring back upsetting memories that would ruin his day.

It'll be interesting to see if there's anything to dig up in Chorrol, Flogir thought to himself, always hoping for something to possible sell. At the moment though, with the payment from Sel, he wasn't in any desparate need.

I think I'll donate some of this to the Orphan and Widows Fund at the Chapel in Chorrol, he mused as the walls of Chorrol began to form in the distance.

Posted by: jack cloudy Oct 30 2006, 08:45 PM

Flint Ironwood, Lokken tavern.

Flint stood up.
,,You probably need some time to think and be alone. If you need me, I'm downstairs with a bottle of Flin. Don't worry about the payment for the room, I took care of that." He told Satyana.
Downstairs, Flint dropped on a stool. He raised his hand to catch the Barkeep's attention.
,,One Flin, please."

Satyana unable to get back to sleep

Satyana pondered for some time about what the strange man just told her. It made the picture of her past a bit more clear but also more confusing. Jadier for instance....which role did he play in this? Could it be him who was her father? Satyana decided it was no point in tossing and turning in this bed anymore, she needed to talk more with the nice stranger, besides she was thirsty and it so happened she was in a Tavern so....

She went downstairs, there was the stranger sitting at the bar sipping some drink. Satyana approached him silently and sat down beside him.

"Ragnar, a glass of comberry-juice please" she addressed the big Nord behind the bar. Ragnar was a good friend of hers, he owned the bar and since Satyana always got him new customers by recommendatins he was quite fond of the young girl.

"Hail stanger" she turned to Flint, since you now know me a bit, I think it would be appropriate if you maybe would tell me your name....

"I think I mentioned my name is Satyana" she continued politely....

Posted by: jack cloudy Oct 30 2006, 10:20 PM

Flint Ironwood, drinking.

Flint smiled and bowed.
,,I believe I informed you that my name is Flint Ironwood, smith by trade. It must have slipped your mind due to the shock I gave you. I apologize for that. Nice to meet you, Satyana."

Jonathan Constitine

Clop, clop, clop, clop.. "Damnable sound is about to drive me bonkers, oh hey, isn't that the Imperial City? Yep.. Thats that tower.. not sure what it does, wonder who lives there? Oh duh, the emperor..."

"Deary could you please stop the "clopping"?" Jonathan patted the horse behind her ear, her neigh was a weary one. Not a tired one, but a 'By the Nine when is this blasted trip going to be over' neigh. "Oh don't worry, we'll be in Chorrol eventually, no rush anyways.. No job after all.." He paused for a moment swat away an insect attempting to steal his blood, "..No food either.. We've got to fix that one deary? Oh sure, you can eat grass but what about me? I'd look incredibly silly if I had my british boat up in the air and my face in the dirt munching on a bit growth."

The scenery had finally changed from the chilly, ugly climate of the north and finally turned into that of the Great Forest. A prayer was said to the earth spirits for safe passage and good speed. Jonathan never embraced the Nine ideology, and found the Deadric Worshipers not quite fancy company either. In fact what he followed was more along the line of the Dunmer's ancestor worship, however a bit more mundane and a few less ghosts. "Creepy buggers" He mumbled, then to himself another prayer, a bit more sincere then the first, "Häncstó eben óten heten pïritssá foén hëten andlá ndäën héten ïráën, eepcë äfésá ouryó hildca ndáën arborhí suén äfesë assagëpá."

Jonathan held his repeater crossbow at the ready whilst descending into the darkening canopy.

Rahvin

Rahvin had been about to sit down at the bar when he saw a familiar face. Flint? He didn't really see the woman he was talking to, all he saw was her eyes. Purple ones.

Instead of appraoching them and making himself known, he slowly turned around and walked back out of the tavern.

He stood beside the door leaning against the wall, trying to figure out what it meant. Were they looking for him, Rann, both, or neither? For what purpose?

What was her name? Saryana? I think that was it. Maybe she is just wanting to meet her brother?

He didn't want to be found. He had almost forgotten that part of his life. Being separated from both his body and the woman he loved weren't exactly his fondest memories. He found himself forgetting about the brandy as he slowly headed back towards his house.

Flogir, pulling into Chorrol

Flogir slowed down his mule as he examined the terance just on the otherside of the entrance gates. He always felt a sense of humbleness and sincerity whenever he visited Chorrol. It was an atmosphere he was particulary fond on.

He gaze fell upon a wagon hitched up by the Lokken Inn and Tavern. His merchant's eye easily told him it belong to a fellow merchant.

"Hmm, perhaps I can strike a deal of some sorts with the owner of that wagon. If not, I'm sure he or she wouldn't mind sharing a drink or five," Flogir said to himself chuckling as he reined in the mule outside the inn.

After securing cart, and tending the mule, he entered the Lokken Inn.

Ahhh the din of a tavern.., Flogir thought as he casually surveyed his surroundings. Noticing an empty barstool, he decided to make that his seat.

"An ale if you will good barkeep!" Flogir said heartily, dropping a few septims onto the table.

Satyana

"That was strange......did you notice?" Satyana looked at Flint in astonishment "Did you see that man, the Dunmer who just came in....approached the bar, then his eyes kinda met mine for a second or two, and it made him turn pale, you know how dunmers look like when they´re pale...like dirty ice....and..and he looked at me as if he´d seen a ghost..then he just...left!"

Satyana shook her head.....something about that Dunmer just got right into her stomach...so weird

That man....I´m sure there´s something about him that is of importance.....but I can´t figure out what, does he know me? Obviously he doesn´t want to be recognised...whoever he is, and I´ll respect that...for now

Flint Ironwood, Lokken tavern.

Flint scanned the room. The Dunmer Satyana spoke of was long gone.
,,I bet it’s nothing. If he comes back, feel free to warn me.”
Flint looked around once more but failed to find anything interesting.

Satyana

"I better be heading back home" Satyana said "I´ll have to study some more before I´ll go to the castle...see I´m one of those who would prepare the food for the feast tomorrow!"

Satyana rose to her feet , planted a kiss on Flint´s cheek, saying: "Bye dear, and thank you for taking care of me, hope to see you at the party tomorrow, it´s up by the big castle, you can´t miss it..oh and just tell the guards you´re friends with Satyana, then they´ll let you in!"

Flint Ironwood, Lokken Tavern.

Flint bowed his head.
,,Thank you very much for leading me to this tavern. I'll be sure to show up tomorrow." He promised and watched her go.

Emptying the last of his Flin, Flint got up and left for his room.
"Maybe I should get past the guards without telling them? Just like the old days."

Dalrus Varus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

Dalrus came woke up up from her nap early in the afternoon. She had been exausted because at about one a group of nords came in ordering a ton of drinks. She walked down stairs and was greeted by a big hug, of course Ragnar.

"Enjoy your sleep?" he asked laughingly and kissing her on the head like a father might do.

"Very much so, though i could have used another three days after having to throw all those nords out" she smiled. Her hair was frizzy fom sleeping on the very soft pillows at the Lokken so she tied it up into a messy pony tail/bun. Her smooth unblemished skin was tan, unusual for it had not been sunny for a long time. She was not very average for an imperial, unusually beautiful and exotic, it was of course the dunmer pigment along with her majority imperial heritage. This made the perfect tan. Customers often enjoyed coming into the bar, men for obvious reasons, and Dalrus had gotten used to being hit on. It was almost a joke with her and Ragnar.

Ragnar had taken her in when she had no money or expirience working. She had been working for nearly a year now and the nice tavern owner had given her a room down stairs all to herself. He was the father-like figure she had never had, her father had never been good to her.

"There you go" she said handing a small bosmer his drink.

"Th..thanks miss" he said trying to keep his eyes away from her chest. She rolled her eyes and smiled to herself as she walked to the back to get some more comberry brandy. She walked past Ragnar on his way to the front with some freshly made bread.

"Oh i forgot to ask you" she said suddenly stopping on her way to the back. "Have you seen Satyana, i wanted to ask her if she was doing anything this sundas" Dalrus said to Ragnar

"Why yes she was just in this morning" he said kindly.

"If she comes in while im out training with the mages guild can you let her know i wanted to see her?" she asked him,

"Of course" ragnar said in an over enthusiastic manner

"Thanks so much" she said laughing and continuing on her way to the storage room.

Satyana

Satyana sat at her desk, trying to get some studying done....but it was fruitless....she just couldn´t focus on alchemical synthesis....she kept thinking of the story Flint had told her earlier.

So I do have a sister and a brother....he said my sister was taken by some .....woman, but my brother, where can he be? What is he doing? Does he know he´s got a sister? Or rather two sisters? And why did never Serene tell her about this? What is the catch? There must be one....Serene always was very clear and honest about things

She continously walked back and forth.......

" No way" she said to herself "This is no good..I´ve got to talk to someone, and that right away!"

She put on her coat and headed for the Lokken, she knew there would be someone she could confide in.....hopefully Dalrus....she must be back by now...oh what joy! Dalrus was one of her very best friends.

Satyana ran through the streets of Chorrol.....towards Lokken Tavern.

"Dalrus! You´re back!!!" Satyana yelled in sheer joy as she entered the Tavern....

She embraced her frien warmly and performed a little dance on the floor, which amused the few guests a lot

Dalrus Varus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

"Satyana!" she said running over to her and laughing as she danced. She gave her a warm hug. Satyana had truley been a blessing for Dalrus. They had been friends for a while now and Dalrus considered her the best friend someone could have.

"I wanted to ask you about something, but apparently what you have to say is more important, judging by your dance" she said laughing.

"So what is it you wanted to say?" she said sitting down at one of the counter chairs. Ragnar walked by and gave a smile of acknowledgment to Satyana as he walked by.

Flogir, in Lokken Tavern

Flogir turned to the proprietor, Ragnar. "So what's this? We get entertainment with our drinks now?," he said chuckling, nodding his head in the direction of a dancing lady who was talking to one of the waitresses.

Ragnar chuckled as well. "She's a regular. A good friend of Dalrus there."

"Ahh..." said Flogir as he returned to his ale.

Satyana

"Oh Dalrus.....I met that extraordinary man last night...ehh Flint Something...and he seemed to know about me..he even called me Brianna, my real mother´s name!...and he told me I have a brother and a sister....Now what puzzles me is why Serene never told me this...You who are so wise and clever Dalrus....could you come up with an explanation to this?"

Satyana sighed......hoping for some counsel from her best friend

OOC: bedtime!

Dalrus Varus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

"Thats impossible, there why would Serene lie to you? My grandmother knew Serene and always talked about her in a great light" she said thinking. "Brianna, though not a popular name, is possibly another person, a coincidence. Tamriel is a big place, maybe its a mistake" Dalrus was calculating the posibility of this.

"If we could get flint to come here then maybe we could ask him somthing that only, someone who would really know you, could answer" she said half unsure herself. "I bet i could convince him" she said letting her hair fall in a sexy cascade(slow motion fall).

Ian, Ian's house, Imperial City

Ian was busy getting his gear together; the call to adventure was flowing through his aging veins. Athough still young, he was nearing the age of becoming sensei and retiring to the dojo that he had been brought up so many years ago. But he was still capable of fighting and of fufilling contracts.

Ian groaned and went through the acrobatic movements that he used to relax. "Time to go," he said to himself. He donned his robes, and slung his bow. Ian strode from his home in the Talos Plaza toward the Market District. One of the guards he passed bowed his head slightly, and continued his rounds. For better or worse, the Imperial City was- had been- his home for several years, and after resting for the last week, Ian was ready for another adventure. He absently lit a hackle-lo and puffed it thoughtfully. Time to speak to an old friend.....

Flint Ironwood, Lokken tavern.

Flint woke up next morning after a good nap.
,,Ah, a brand new day. Now what should I do for today? Hmm, I’ll just take care of my priorities first. Breakfast.”
Flint headed downstairs where he bought a loaf of bread and a bottle of flin. He waved at Satyana for a moment before sitting down in a quiet corner.

(By the way, Flint is married in case you're wondering.)

Satyana

Satyana noticed Flint waving at her and gave im a cheerful smile....

Maybe I could convince him as well.....

She really wanted to believe what Dalrus was telling her but she knew better.....Flint definitely had knowh her mother, he had told the truth...that´s for sure...anyway there really was no time for pondering about the past, Dalrus had been happy to see her and she felt that her friend also wanted to ask her something or tell her something...she could tell from the way Dalrus shook her beautiful hair and moved her body...

"So my dear", she said in a low voice, "You wanted to say something?"

In ger mind she was already planning the menu for the feast.....it must be something special, the Countess had been crystal clear about that...Some important guests were expected and she also wanted to pay gratitude to some of her employees....at least that was what she had told Satyana just the other day...

Satyana knew the Countess had some special "staff" whom she had the greatest confidence in, she never told who those men were but gave some faint hints that they were very special to her.

Anyway, Satyana was happy to work for the Countess who paid well and treated her fair, so if the Lady wanted to have her secrets it was ok....Satyana wouldn´t mind. Thus she was determined to protect her benefactor in every way.....she knew some really powerful magic....

"Well" she said in a distracted voice as she tried to put her hair back up. "I was wondering if you have any freetime, i mean before the festival, remember we planned to go visit Prior Turenel at Weynon Priory? I know you must be busy but he said he had something for us." she said circling Satyana in a impatient kid type manor. "It will be our only chance to get out of the city before the festival, i will be setting up the ale booth, and you will be doing countess errands."

Flogir, in Lokken Tavern

Flogir couldn't help but overhear many discussions about a party that was coming up fairly soon. It seemed the hostess of the event would be the Countess of Chorrol herself.

Well I picked a good time to arrive in town. I wonder if this party is public or if an invitation is required? he mused, taking a sip of his ale.

He then remembered that the correspondant he met in Bruma was from Chorrol. Maybe if he found that young Dunmer once more, he'd be able to get into the party if it wasn't public.

His mug of ale seemed the most inviting aspect for the moment though, he still had time to look around for the Dunmer before the party would start.

Heck, I might even get to speak to nobility...

Dalrus, Chorrol

"Thanks, don't I?" she said in a fake snobby voice. She laughed and put on her coat. She gave a man his spiked comberry juice and then left "I'll be back in a little Ragnar, I'm going to the priory with Satyana" She said yelling up the stairs to Ragnar.

"Alright stay safe" he yelled back down

"Excellent lets go" she said opening the door for Satyana.

They went out into the street, a cold wind blew up some leaves in their faces, Satyana drew her cloak tighter around her.

"So what are we to expect my dear?" she asked.....smiling at Dalrus

Ian, meeting an old friend

The Market District was filled with citizens going about their daily lives. There were several street venders selling jewelry, food, and clothing. Ian was paused for a moment and shook his head. Nineteen years ago, the only shops were indoors. Now vendors have sprouted up, Ian thought to himself. He made his way to the Mystic Emporium. Calendil was speaking to a citizen in middle-class clothes, but when the old elf spotted Ian coming through the door, he shooed the man away.

"Greetings my friend, what do you need of me?" He asked
Ian grinned slightly, Calendil and his wife had been his most prized merchants in this city for years.
"Yes Calendil, I do need some poisons from your lovely wife."

"Ah, yes of course." A elderly Altmer woman came down the stairs and heard her husband and Ian talking. "Hello dear friend, you may buy whatever you need." Calendil sold many enchanted weapons and armor while his wife sold potions and enchanted accesories.

Jonathan Constantine
On the way to Chorrol/Chorrol/Lokken Tavern

Twang, twang-twang

Three bolts from Jonathan's crossbow arced out across the pathway towards a tree nearly fifty meters in front of him.

Thwump, thwump-thwump

The iconic sound of crossbow bolts slamming into a target resounded in the immediate of the woods. "Eh, a little off to the left it seems." Jonathan guided his horse using his thighs towards the tree, "Of course the bugger I'm shootin' at won't be obliged to hope into the bolts.." It took quite a bit of a little tugging match to wrest the bolts from the tree, but in the end Jonathan managed to best it.

During his training he failed to notice how much ground he was covering, and a short glance up revealed that of the walls of Chorrol. Chorrol reminded him of his home stead, to remember was to invoke pang of sorrow for his failing as a son. What little remained of his home lay around his neck, a small medallion of his father's personal treasures was passed from father to son during his last visit. It was simple, but elegant, a testament to the old working of an art long passed.

The cobble streets of the were lined with numerous people and from various sources, being those that lined the streets, he heard of a party that was to happen. "Huh, grand time to show up here, maybe they'll have some free brandy.. Listen girl, I'm going to leave you here for now." Jonathan patted the nose of the horse and walked her to a stable, "You be good for daddy, you hear?"

After dropping the last of his gold off into the caretakers hands, Jonathan decided to meander about and possibly mooch a drink off of a... happy.. local. He decided the Lokken Tavern would be a good start and stepped into the building, waiting for his eyes to re-adjust to the dimness.

Dalrus, Outside Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

Dalrus walked past Jonathan as she headed to Weynon Priory. She liked what she saw, though she did not show any sign of recognition and instead let her hair fall from its bun. It was windy and it blew in the wind as the cool afternoon continued with a slight breeze. She looked over at Jonathan.

Rann

After taking a bath to get the grime and blood off of himself and changing clothes, he walked out of his tiny shack abd into the town to check on the preparations. He was usually able to 'taste test' some food before the actual feast if he sweet-talked the cooks the right way. In the mood for a little light-heartedness after a killing, he headed for the castle.

Rahvin

Rahvin had been a bit flustered by the appearance of one of Brianna's other children, but the confusion in his head was now gone. He now realized that it really didn't matter. As long as the child that Salina took didn't appear, he figured all was well.

He stopped walking back to the castle where he lived and decided to go back to the tavern. Ragnar's brandy was too cheap to pass up.

Sodsa Hekal, At Wynon Priory

Sodsa swung the doors to the Priory open and headed up the worn stairs toward Prior Turenel's 'office'. Upon arrival Sodsa more or less dropped a burlap sack onto the desk, making Turenel jump, snapping his head up to meet Sodsa's.

"By the Divine's, you need to make some sound Hekal, i can hardly hear you coming anymore." Turenel mumbled while reaching for the sack, looking in side of it.

Sodsa let a smirk flash across his face, "You never could hear me old man, besides, I've been forced to be quiet. Its hard to catch you evening meal." Sodsa slouched into a chair, set his bow on the ground, and continued, "Well that should be the regular delivery, if there's something missing then let me know."

Turenel closed the bag and set it behind the desk, "No, no, it looks alright to me, now for your pay..." He trailed off as he turned his attention to a piece of parchment on his desk and started writing on it. "Just hand this to Ildean, the new Redguard."

Sodsa stood up and took the peice of paper from the Prior, "Thanks Prior, I'll see you again in a week or two." Sodsa slung his bow over his shoulder and turned to go back down the stairs.

ooc:Well now that i'm in i'm gonna go to bed, or see if i have stuff to do yet for HW..... (lets hope i don't) well cheers, ttyl

Satyana

"Ok let´s hurry then" Satyana said to Dalrus, "I got to get back to the castle soon and start preparing the food!"

Satyana noticed a good looking man outside the Tavern, speaking to his horse! She smiled, she always liked people who treated animals well....also she was fond of horses, so she often volunteered to help guests with their horses..

Steak.....hmm a lot of steak...I wonder if I can get hold of some fresh vegetables at the market, crabfish..mmm, gotta start with those stews as soon as I get back!

Posted by: Dantrag Nov 2 2006, 09:51 PM

Rahvin

Rahvin got past Satyana unnoticed, not because he was trying to be stealthy, but because her attention was too focused on a young man that enjoyed the company of animals.

Not one to question his luck, he walked into the tavern and sat down.

"Rahvin! It's been quite some time." Ragnar greeted. "What can I get for you?"

Rahvin normally couldn't stand nordic men, mainly because they reminded him of Agnar and his ilk. Ragnar, despite the ironically similar name, didn't. His warm friendliness put down any such thoughts.

"The usual. And some tobacco if you have it." he answered, pulling out his pipe. Ragnar put a bottle of brandy and some shredded tobacco in front of him.

"So who was that woman that was just in here? The one that looked somewhat nordic." Rahvin asked.

"Don't you think she's a little young for you?" Ragnar asked.

Rahvin laughed. "It's not like that." he answered, lighting his pipe. "So do you know her?"

"Satyana? Sure. She came to town a while back to study. Works at the castle."

I was only a letter off. Rahvin thought, priding himself on his excellent memory. "Know where she came from?" Rahvin was pretty sure he knew the answer, but wanted confirmation. He pulled the pipe out of his mouth and took a sip of brandy while Ragnar answered.

"Not sure exactly, but I know that her grandmother is famous. Serene, no less."

"Really? The Serene?" Rahvin asked, pretending to be surprised. As if he didn't know the woman.

Ragnar nodded, taking another puff on his pipe. "I wouldn't have believed it either, except the purple eyes. Even legends talk of those." he paused for a second, as if having a revelation. "Say, doesn't your boy have purple eyes?"

"Yes, but for a different reason." he lied. "Rann was actually born blind. A sorceress cured him of it, but his eyes didn't change color."

Ragnar nodded, but it was obvious that he didn't believe the story.

Rahvin sighed. Yet another rumor to add to the collection. Because of their occupation, too many rumors circulated around he and Rann in Chorrol. Everyone in town knew who they were, even if they didn't know them personally. There were more important things to think about right now. Satyana was here, no doubt. He wondered how it would affect Rann. seeing his sister for the first time.

Ragnar excused himself to speak with other customers. Rahvin just sat, enjoying his drink and smoke, shaking his head at the rather unlikely coincidence of Satyana and Rann being in the same town after twenty years.

Dalrus, Chorrol

"Well we're almost there" she said after they had left the city gates. "I really am interested now in what he's offering us." she said excitedly.

As they neared the priory a beautiful white mare stood next to a large black stallion. Standing next to the two horses was prior Turenel.

"Hello ladies" the old man said smiling. "Remember the other day when you were complaining about not getting out of town much?" he said smiling a big proud smile "Well i thought if you had some proper transportation you would get to know the world better, i knew you were into magic and you can't learn everything about magic in chorrol," he chuckled. "These were given to the priory by a rich man a few weeks ago, i had no idea what to do to them and it would be very greedy of me to forget about your needs. These horses are yours now." he smiled and hugged each of them "I'll miss you guys while im out writing my book in solitude, but i cannot concentrate with chorrol right there, i will visit don't worry, Wetheu is the new head prior" he said as he grabbed his napsack. "Dalrus, I hope you finish your destruction training, you will be a master in less than two years and i wish for the best of luck, Satyana, i hope your alchemy and healing goes very well, and any other magic you might be involved in" With that he walked off.

"Oh by the divines" Dalrus said excitedly hugging Satyana. "I will let you pick which horse you want" dalrus said to her friend.

Flint Ironwood, Lokken tavern.

Flint had finished his breakfast and was about to leave when he heard something interesting.
,,Rahvin?"

Flint took a better look. It was definitely Rahvin. Flint's lips drew into a smile as he passed close to the assassin.
,,Hi Rahvin, don't get drunk." He spoke before vanishing behind an invisibility spell. Flint stiffled a laugh as he sneaked out of the building.

Outside, he inspected his wares. The same odd feeling that had been bothering him during the entire trip caught him again.
,,Alright, I'll walk around with it for today and sell tomorrow. Geez, I'm too nostalgic for my own good." He grumbled. He swiftly redressed in his old armour, with the Dark Brotherhood cloak and two katanas at his sides. He mounted the wagon and made it move.
,,Let's see if there's a market around here where I can sell my stuff."

Luper Alkad, showing off at Chorrol.

Luper was still running when he arrived at Chorrol, breathing only slightly harder than usual.
,,What in the name of Kagrenac? Wow, that is one long line waiting to pass the gate." He commented as he skidded to a halt. Luper grew impatient within just a few seconds.
,,This is crazy. Look over here, flying hero!" He shouted as he soared up into the sky and over the wall. He landed on the other side. Ignoring the stares he received from everyone, including the guards, Luper walked into the city in search of entertainment.

Flogir

Flogir nodded a greeting to the Dunmer who had just been speaking with Ragnar and returned to his drink. After a sip, he made a double-take. Something seemed oddly familiar with the Dunmer.

Frowning thoughtly, it took a few moments to realize why he was getting that odd feeling. This Dunmer resembled his coorespondant, Sel.

Leaning over towards the Dunmer, Flogir quietly said. "I think I know your son, serjo."

Rahvin

Rahvin heard Flint's voice, but didn't move or get panicked. It took quite a bit to get a rise out of him. Especially when he already knew the man was in town.

Rahvin turned to face the man. A nord. He wasn't sure what to think of the statement. Did he know their secret? Was he trying to blackmail him?

Resisting the urge to reach for a dagger, he responded. "I really don't see how that's possible. I have no son."

He figured if the man really did know Rann, he could try to pass him off as his younger brother. Twenty years was not so large a gap for elves.

Flogir

Flogir flushed slightly, fortunately his face was all ready reddened from drinking.

"I'm sorry about that then, serjo," he said politely, "It's just that you look like a Dunmer I just recently met, called himself Sel. That's all."

He then went back to focussing on his drink. Me and my big mouth...

Satyana

Satyana was stunned.....a horse!!!! She couldn´t believe it! She looked at the beauiful animals and almost immediately she felt some kind of vibrations..from the black stallion, it was as if he talked to her...

She went to him and he put his head to her shoulder. She patted his mouth gently, looked into his eyes....

"I....I´ll take him" she whispered, then turned to prior Turenel: "How did you know I so much wanted a horse?"

"Thank you.....thank you both" Tears f happiness rose in her eyes as she swiftly mounted the horse....and swrled away in a cloud of dust..

The horse stopped as by coincidence outside Lokken....Satyana jumped off, stroke th horse once telling him: "Stay here precious, I´ll soon be back" The horse buffed her hand in agreement.

Satyans rushed into the Tavern.....

"Ragnar! come quick...I´ll show you something"...she stopped suddenly noticing a Dunmer sitting quite relaxed sipping from a gass of brandy while smoking a pipe.....somehow the man caught her interests, but she couldn´t figure out why

Ragnar laughed at her enthusiasm and went with her outside. He admired the black stallion and hugged Satyana warmly

"So lassie, got your horse huh? Always wanted one you did.... What´s his name then?"

"I..I don´t know" she said thoughtfully, "He hasn´t told me his name yet"

Ragnar smiled....."Sweet silly girl" he chuckled, "Them horses don´t talk"

"He does! At least to me.." Satyana looked at Ragnar

"Who is that man with a pipe in the corner? Somehow I feel I know him"
"Must be Rahvin then, but I doubt a nice girl like you would know that kind of man" Ragnar stated "Must go back in again"

Satyana stayed outside after Ragnar had returned inside, then she followed him, and headed towards the man with the pipe.

"Good day to you serjo, " she approached him politely " May I join you?"

He sends out vibrations.....but wy? Gosh I like him! I actually like him, and I don´t know why

OOC: She is very grateful...but the stallion just rushed off! And she is a very social girl, always eager to talk to eveyone and try being nice. Of course she dosn´t know Rahvin personally, but she likes his relaxed posture!

Luper Alkad, horse trouble.

Luper was whistling a tune when suddenly a black horse came rushing around the corner.
,,Hey, watch it!" The man shouted angrily as he ducked out of the way. He watched how the horse continued on its path and shrugged.
,,People just don't know how to treat horses."

(What, don't expect him to simply play the hero for nothing. smile.gif )

Rahvin

Rahvin turned away from the nord, shaking his head at the odd situation. Maybe he just met Rann in passing and there was no larger plot.

I'm too paranoid. he thought to himself. After finally getting back to his own business, Satyana approached him. Apparently, she was a curious one. Or maybe just too sociable. Maybe both.

"Sure." he replied, dusting off the stool beside him so she could sit. "What's your name?" he asked. His tone made him seem uninterested, but only because he already knew the answer.

Dalrus, Riding towards Lokken

Dalrus laughed it was perfect, the white mare seemed to be perfect for her, something was different about him. She too felt telepathic vibrations, what was wrong with Satyana and her? Speaking to horses!

Dalrus mounted quickly after Satyana but walked with her mare a little more. She followed quickly and rode in through the city, this was the most special gift someone could give her, a friend, a companion and a helper, a horse was perfect

She rode up to the Lokken and Ragnar smiled. "I knew something big was going to happen" he smiled.
"This is the best day ever!" she said enthusiastically "With maybe a few exceptions like when you took me in and i met Satyana. I still have to decide what I'm going to name her." she said curiously as she walked inside following Satyana. She walked over to the table she was at "Who's this fine gentleman," she said kindly.

Satyana

Satyana smiled at the Dunmer, he really made her feel good

"I´m Satyana," she smiled, "I live here....and you seem a bit familiar....must have seen you around.."

Ragnar said his name was Rahvin, but I´ll have to ask him anyway, maybe he won´t reveal his name and then I´ll have to keep quiet

"So what may your name be serjo?

Posted by: Dantrag Nov 2 2006, 11:23 PM

Rahvin

"Rahvin." he answered. It wasn't as if withholding his name would've done any good; she could find that information out from anyone in town. Probably already had.

Satyana

"Oh....I see...you do live here right? I recognise you I think..Anyway I hope you will attend to the feast tomorrow at the Castle....Countess Valga, who is my employer is a very nice lady and she always wants all of the citizens of Chorrol to come to her parties!"

Satyana smiled at Rahvin, and while she talked to him she very gently just put her hand on his arm, a gesture of friendliness that was......

Oh who am I fooling?

In the corner of her eye she noticed Dalrus also approaching the table greeting Rahvin.....and she wasn´t sure how she felt about that...

Flogir

Flogir watched as the Dunmer he had just finished talking with was pulled away by a nice looking lady. He chuckled, I'm too old for that kind of stuff

He drained the remaining contents of his mug and rose from his seat. He decided he was going to tour the town for a little while. Perhaps he would run into Sel. Or maybe make a sale of some sorts.

Dalrus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

Dalrus walked over to the table Rahvin and Satyana were sitting at. "Hello serjo, I am Dalrus, whom do I owe the pleasure?" she said in her very polite manners. She did not sit down, however, however she stood next to the table. Her firey emerald eyes looked at who she was speaking to and she showed utmost attention to him.

Rahvin

"I usually show up to the feasts." he replied. He became aware of her hand on his arm, but was a bit disturbed. She could have much easily been his daughter; born of the same woman and at the same time as his son. A tad too close to incest for his liking.

"Rahvin." he replied, using the opportunity to move his arm and offer Dalrus a handshake.

Satyana

Satyana smiled, but the smile did not reach her eyes, se felt a bit of resent from his side.....that hurt her, she didn´t understand what she had done wrong.....unless....why, Dalrus always caught the eyes of every male when she was present....she shuld have known better than show some interest in a man when Dalrus was present...that always failed!

"Well....see you at the feast, Rahvin" Satyana withdrew her hand, and walked away, trying not to show how hurt she was.

Outside she buried her face in the thick mane of the black stallion, and wept silently....

Why do I feel this way? What´s wrong with me?

Questions without answers whirled inside her head....

Dalrus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

Dalrus shook his hand heartily, she wondered who this man was, what did he do. "I am a bartender and waitress here, would you like anything?" she said wondering how to ask him what his job was

ooc: yeah this is a bit late.... i got on to late and missed it... forgive me for time warping (a bit)
Sodsa, Wynon

Sodsa stepped outside just in time to see a white mare leave down the road with Turenel walking away. Catching up to Turenel "Someone's going off with those horses you got recently."

"What? Oh, that was Dalrus, a dear friend of mine. Satyana just left a bit earlier with hers. I just gave them those two horses you helped with recently. You should meet them, great girls"

"Oh I see, I could, hey isn't that festival in town tonight?"

"I believe so, you had best hurry up if you want to attend, and," looking at Sodsa's clothes, "mabey a new set of clothes." Turenel chucked, "Well I'd better be leaving soon if I want to finish my book."

"Yeah you better leave, i can't stand any more of you abuse, don't get eaten by any of those wolves Prior." Sodsa waved and started heading up the road toward Chorrol.

Jonathan Constantine

"Feast aye? Might h've to find more information about that.. And those two stunning ladies.."
Jonathan had made his way quitely into the inn after grooming Lila a bit, she was a bit mangy and he didn't trust the caretakers hands.. He reached the conclusion that he would figure out if he could be invited to this feast, after all, no money equaled no food, and no food equaled... Well hunger.

"Ello' sir." He waited a polite moment to garner the individuals attention, "Whats this of a feast I hear? Are the common folk invited?" Just then he imagined his eyes gleamed, the thought of all those ripe empty houses for the looting, all during this festival.. Sure the guards would be out in force but.. "Worth a gambit.."

(That was to you Danny)

"So my dear Dalrus, are you a resident of this wonderful town?" He asked, figuring out in the back of his mind how to pay for a drink with no money. "Can't let her see that I'm piss poor broke, now can I? Hah, I'll run up a tab!"

After a while, Sodsa finally made his way to Chorrol and nodded to the guards as he passed through the gates. Walking into the city and hailed the nearest guard. "Say, were could one find a bar, or a place to buy some clothes, as a friend suggested."

The guard slowly looked Sodsa over and pointed in the direction he was facing. "Well, a great tavern is right around that corner there, The name's Lokken, they serve a great mead." The guard smiled, then pointed to Sodsa's right, "And the clothier is just there, third building from here, and you friend was right, ya do need some new clothes, where have you been living? In the wilds?" The guard started laughing at his own joke.

Sodsa nodded, "For you information, yes, since age ten. I thank you for the directions though." Sodsa walked past the guard, slightly miffed, but smiled when the guard stopped laughing and called out an apology.

Upon seeing the Tavern, Sodsa caught a glimpse of a lady with her head buried in a black horse's main. Sodsa slid into the stable and came up besides the lady, "Excuse me mam, is there a problem?"

Flint Ironwood, Chorrol market.
Flint had parked his wagon and put his wares on display. Already he’d sold quite a bit of his goods. A Redguard approached him and the Breton waited calmly as the man looked over the weapons arrayed in front of the wagon.

Flint frowned when the Redguard displayed a smug grin.
,,See anything you like, sir?” Flint inquired politely. The other man’s grin grew even bigger.
,,Yeah, if I needed something safe for the kids I don’t have. Man, I see you’ve got a lot here. Lookie here, Iron, steel and hey, there’s even an axe lined with silver. Nothing but a rusty pile of junk that not even a Cliffracer would dare pee on. Where’s the good stuff? Like what you’re wearing right now.” He replied with a heavy load of sarcasm.

Flint’s frown deepened.
,,Good stuff? Why, I don’t sell any of the ‘good stuff’ to lousy muscle-bound thugs with rocks for brains and Dwemer oil for manners.” He shot back. The Redguard stepped forward, now angry.
,,Listen, pal. I don’t take those kind of insults from anyone.” The darkskinned man threatened. Flint didn’t flinch.

,,Back off.” He said simply. When the Redguard didn’t listen, Flint rose his hand and fired a telekinetic blast that brought him out of balance. Before the Redguard could recover, Flint had unsheathed one of his katanas and pointed it at his throat.

,,I said, back off.” Flint repeated. To his surprise, the Redguard grinned.
,,Neat trick, just make sure you’ve got some real skill with that toothpick of yours when you’re going to pick a real fight.” He joked before wandering off, whistling. Flint shook his head as he resheathed his sword.
,,Redguards, they’re so weird.” He muttered.

Luper Alkad, Chorrol market.

Luper grinned again. He needed to throw a few good insults. Nothing was better to lighten up his mood than a few sharp words. Though alcohol came close.
Realizing that, Luper walked into the nearest tavern, the Lokken tavern.

Flogir, Chorrol

Flogir breathed deeply, expelling the must and smoke from the tavern. It never was a good idea to stay in a tavern for long periods of time, one tends to get a little flustered.

He walked to the stables to check on his mule, brushing past a Redguard walking the opposite way with a smug look on his face. In the stable, there was man tending to his wagon full of items. It seems Flogir had found a fellow merchant.

"Greetings, fellow vendor!" he said, heartily approaching the man.

Sodsa stood there and started talking, completely forgetting about the hand, "Well uh, my name is Sodsa, Sodsa Hekal. I thank you for inviting me to the feast. Dalrus looked like a blissful teenager thinking about Jonathan. 'Wow, this makes things in Chorrol, much more interesting' she thought. "Ok, twenty-five strong poisons of paralysis and fifteen strongs of silence, may Talos guide you both.' Ian said greatfully. He sat down at the foot of a statue and looked over a large map of Cyrodiil which, after years of exploring, was filled with symbols and abrieviations on every landmark and locale. When I die, I'll donate this to the future sensei and apprentices, Ian thought.

Ian closed his eyes and ran his finger oner the map, and opened his eyes on the location. Chorrol, odd I haven't been there in awhile. I wonder how Countess Valga is doing, he mused. It had been 19 long years since the Oblivion Crisis, and 5 years since he was last in Chorrol....... Then something jogged ian's memory, wait isn't tommarow when Chorrol has its festival. The Countess will certainly allow me to attend, 19 years ago Ian had helped the Countess find a stolen hierloom, a portrat of her late husband.
It would be undoubtably worth my time....... so I guess I'll just drop in.....

Ian casted a teleportation spell to Chorrol, and appeared in the middle of the main street......

OCC: oh, yeah Ian won't succumb to her feminine wiles either (If the women in the Siren's Deception couldn't entice him then no one can........ or can they?) laugh.gif

Rahvin

Rahvin realized that he had hurt Satyana, but sat for a good while trying to decide on what he should do about it. After an annoying Imperial asked him about the feast and then left with Dalrus, he finished off his brandy and walked outside with his pipe.

He didn't have to look far to see Satyana speaking with a bosmer. He stood politely to the side, waiting to speak, as he puffed on his pipe.

Ian, Chorrol town square

Ian glanced around and spotted a couple of mer standing alongside a black horse....... But right now he didn't think this scene should garner his attention, he was going to meet with the Countess. Castle Chorrol hadn't changed much in almost twenty years, the guards in the great hall studied him for a moment and them stood straighter. It must be my clothing, I'll have to remember that next time. The countess' herald stepped forward and seemed to recognize him, and beckoned him forth toward the throne......

Posted by: minque Nov 4 2006, 08:03 PM

Satyana

As Satyana was speaking with the kind bosmer, she felt the smell of tobacco.....and in the corner of her eye she noticed that Rahvin had come out of the tavern and just stood there puffing his pipe..All of a sudden her heart started beating a bit faster, but she decided not to show that she noticed him not yet anyway.

"Oh mister you just come to the castle at loredas eve....I´ll give the guards your name and tell them you´re invited by me! I have to work that night you see, I´m one of the cooks! But you are so welcome!" She fired off one of her most ravishing smiles at the bosmer

Then she turned and looked at Rahvin....she just looked at him, then she tried a smile....a smile that made her look more beautiful than she knew of....Satyana actually had no idea about how gorgeous she really looked, her first priority was always what good she could do to others. That´s also the reason why she is easy to hurt...

"Rahvin?" she said in a very low voice.....and hoped he´d heard her

Rann

"The guards are too busy what with the feast coming up. You have to play messenger boy now. Just find your father and tell him the countess needs him." the herald told him. When a stranger approached, the herald excused himself to attend to him.

Rann made his way towards the exit, giving the stranger a nod as he walked by.

Rann searched his father's house to no avail, but hek new where he would be. He came upon Lokken tavern to see his father speaking with a young nordic girl.

Rahvin

Rahvin nodded at the bosmer as he exited before stepping closer to Satyana.

"Look, about what happened in there..." he paused to take a deep breath. "It's not you, I mean, it's..."

He didn't get to explain himself, as his son interrupted.

"The countess wants you. Now." Rann told his father.

"Sorry." Rahvin said to Satyana apologetically before running towards the castle.

Rann was left standing there awkwardly. "So...I guess I'll see you around." he said to Satyana as he turned around and began to walk away.

Satyana was just about to answer Rahvin in his kind of apologetic remark when they were interrupted by the young man who just came running....

She rose her left hand, then lowered it again...

That young man stood still for a short while beside her, he seemed familiar....yes! She hed seen him before....at the Castle it was!

So when he sort of said goodbye to her and started walking away, she decided she had had enough of men running away from her

"Hey! stop! wait a second! We´ve met, right? You work for the Countess huh? I just know I´ve seen you somewhere.....so my name is Satyana.....and we most certainly will be seeing each other....at least at the feast I´m sure!"

Satyana put her hand on Rann´s arm and turned him around..looking straight into his eyes...then the world started getting blurry.....she swayed a second.....and her jaw dropped

"Who are you.....really??"

Posted by: Dantrag Nov 4 2006, 08:42 PM

Rann

"Uh...Rann?" he answered, unsure of the real question. Then he nodded. "Yep, that's who I really am."

"Are you alright?"

OOC: Sorry, but I won't be around much until later tonight. Feel free to excuse Satyana from this conversation if you want to RP with other characters.

Sodsa, Now in the tavern itself

Sodsa walked right up the the bar and sat down, laying a few coins on the counter, "A Cyrodillic brady please"

Satyana

Satyane looked at Rann, really not grasping what he said, she looked into his eyes.....an image of her own....so strange..

This isn´t happening....his eyes....but he´s a Dunmer....it´s impossible! He can´t be....oh no..

"I..I´m ok, just got a bit dizzy, haven´t eaten that much today"

Satyana let go of >Rann, confused and still dizzy, then she cleared her throat and said:

"Excuse me, what was your name again? And are you from here really?"

OOC: nope I´d like to continue the conversation with Rann, so I just wait....

Flogir

Flogir rummaged through the contents, examining the pieces of steel and iron armor and various weaponry, using his expert eye on craftsmanship.

"Hmm, you got some fine quality steel items here. You make these yourself? Because it certainly looks like you could work on the more expensive stuff and create some high value stuff, know what I mean?" he said, turning back toward Flint to make sure he knew that he was being sincere.

"I'm in need of some good steel that I'm planning to enchant when I get the time. I actually have a few samples of glass ore in my cart. Suppose we can trade?" he inquired.

Jonathan looked upon the ongoing soap opera with bemusement, so much love in the air. "Yuck, what a disgusting word... Love, sure parent child love, friend love, yes all great but not for me. You get involved and then you get dissapointed but some factor. I'd sooner stay away from it." No sooner then he thought that last sentence then a picture of Dalrus came to mind. "Shes a beaut thats for sure, but spending a life with her? I don't think so, I value my freedom I mean."

Lila gave a neigh, a seemingly unaproving neigh, "Well theres always you love, not think I could rightly leave you, nor do I think you'd rightly leave me.." He scratched her behind the ear and watched her foot stamp the ground. "Well stay frosty my dear, I've got to make some cash an honest way first."

In his saddle bag he left his crossbow. It was of exquisite quality, being payed for through the trade of a... "Borrowed" horse from his fathers farm. Custom made for him, and the epitome of crossbow creation, the repeating crossbow was able to fire off five shots before the bow needed to be reloaded. Sure, they were smaller bolts, they needed to be to keep it from being to damnably heavy, but two bolts to your chest should bring down the strongest of men. But Jonathan had his contacts, and so he believed he could pick up another down the road if he needed to.

With the in mind he approached the Nord with the cart, hoping to have a trade in mind.

(Jack I'm comming towards you!!)

Ian, Castle Chorrol

The Countess looked much older, well of course she did, after 19 years everyone looks older, but she'd looked old back then. But Ian kept his thoughts to himself. Countess Valga smiled sweetly at him. "I'm glad to see you again, Ian." Surprised, but unwilling to show it, Ian could hardly believe that the elderly Valga could recognize him and adress him by name. "Good day, M'lady." "Why would a mercenary like yourself want with sleepy old Chorrol?" She asked bemused. "I remembered your offer to your anual festivals, and decided to attend." Ian replied matter-of-factly. "I see," She muttered. "Well, I'll tell the guards to permit you to attend the party."
"Very good, ma'am." And Ian turned to leave. His thoughts drifted toward the Dunmer he'd seen earlier. He carries himself like an assassin, he mused. Nine-teen years ago he'd spent some time with the Dark Brotherhood, an illegal assassins guild, but he had quit because they turned out to be useless. I'll keep an eye on that assassin boy........

Rann

Rann, not having an eye for details such as eye color, still didn't understand her actions. He did have an odd feeling about her though.

"Rann. And yes, I'm from here." Rann felt very odd about this girl. "Uh...listen, I gotta go uh...prepare for the uh, feast. Yeah. I'm a cook. I work at the castle." he lied, trying to politely extricate himself from the conversation.

,,Glass, eh? I like Glass. I need some to patch up my old armour. Sure, let's trade."

"I knew I´ve seen you somewhere" Satyana replied, much steadier on her feet " And what a coincidence...I´m a cook as well! So why don´t we head for the castle-kitchen both of us and get started? I bet Countess Valga is waiting impatiently"

Luper grabbed the mug of Mazte without even paying attention to the young woman wo had given it to him. He peeked into it.
,,Mazte? This is going to take a while." He mumbled before throwing it all back in one big gulp.

,,More please. Know what? Just give me about ten bottles, that should be good enough to start with."

(Yes, he has not succumbed to Dalrus' charmes. Probably because he didn't even notice her presence. smile.gif )

Dalrus Varus, Lokken Tavern, Chorrol

Dalrus and Ragnar brought out five bottles of Mazte, and she smiled at the young brute.

"Here you go" she said sliding the whole group of bottles towards him. "I hope you're able to afford it, that will be fifty- five septims" she said as she served him "Would you like any food with that?" she asked kindly

"What are the chances?" he said aloud, but it had a double meaning. I just had to be a cook today. he berated himself.

He really didn't want to work in the kitchens, but he didn't exactly want to be caught in the middle of his lie either.

"Tell you what - you go ahead and I'll meet you there in a few minutes. I have to stop by my house and get something."

He was under the impression that she was trying to get a date out of him, and for some reason he wasn't attracted to her in that way.

Flint Ironwood, trading.

Flint thought over the offer for just a second.
,,Glass, eh? I like Glass. I need some to patch up my old armour. Sure, let's trade."

Flogir, Trading

"Excellent! Just let me get my glass out of my cart and then I'll see what I want for it," Flogir said, excitment tinging his words as he jumped down from the wagon and went towards his cart.

It was then that he caught on to what Flint just said.

"You all ready have some Glass Armour, eh? Do you happen to have it? I would like to see it."

Karn, Pirating (not the sea kind)

The wagon was almost past the tree when the horse caught whiff of something....... not right. It came to an abrupt halt and swung its head from side to side anxiously. The old Imperial codger that had been directing the coach stood up yelling, and was about to goad it with his whip when something brushed his shoulder. The man turned around and found himself looking up at a tall handsome Dunmer; for reasons he couldn't grasp, he was speechless and felt very afraid. The Dunmer grinned malevolently, and stepped forward, the man felt something sharb stab into his stomach. And looked down panic-stricken, the Dark Elf had impaled him with a deadric sword.
The elder man looked back at the handsome face again and coughed up blood. The Dunmer pulled the blade out and the man fell off the wagon.

Karn glanced in disgust at his now bloody chest Old fool, he thought. And began rumaging through the wagon. After ten minutes of searching, there turned out to be near to nothing valuable in the wagon but food. Then the man's remains had a letter on it.

Grandfather,

I hope you decide to attend the party in Chorrol on Loredas evening. You'll just love it, and Countess valga will most certainly want to meet you.

Mary

Karn looked back at the corpse, Indeed I think I shall, because this could be quite interesting.

OCC: ok first glimsp of Karn, I hope everyone hates him and wants him to be brought to justice laugh.gif

Luper Alkad, tavern.

Luper was drinking, but he wasn't drunk...yet.
He casually threw down fifty-five septims and continued his drinking when he heard a wood elf say something.
,,Wood Elves, they're so annoying." He thought.

,,HEY, DON'T FORGET YOUR RING. THE IMPIES PUT IT IN THE BARREL! NO DRESS IS COMPLETE WITHOUT YOUR STUPID RING!" He shouted at the elf's back.

Flint Ironwood, demonstrating.

Flint nodded.
,,As a matter of fact, I do have it." He said before whipping out a small silver dagger and making a cut in his clothes. The green gleam of Glass revealed itself.
,,Three layers, the first is some soft padding, the second is the actual glass armour itself and the third is some decent clothing for when you don't want to intimidate people. Though maybe I should have picked a different colour than black for that. It has slightly less protection than the traditional Glass armour but it is a lot more silent." He explained before fixing the gap he'd created.

,,I'm a smith now, I haven't always been one."

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Nov 6 2006, 08:29 AM

Flogir

An impressed look crossed Flogir's face. "That is some fine glass there. It does make me curious about why you would need such a thing, but if that bothers you I understand why you wouldn't want to talk about it. I too, have had a past life that is difficult to speak of..." he trailed off, eyes loss in past memories for a moment.

They regained focus once more. "...Oh! The glass! Right, hold on a second and I'll grab it," Flogir said hurrying to his cart and rummaging through his contents. Finally he pulled what looked like rods covered in burlap. Flogir pulled back the burlap to reveal 5 piece of green glass ore.

"So how many do you want?" he asked, smiling.

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 6 2006, 06:15 PM

Flint Ironwood, making his offer.

Flint carefully inspected the glass.
,,Well, I'd say that two pieces should be enough though I think I'd like to take three if you don't mind. Just take whatever you want in return."

He then smiled.
,,And about my previous profession. I was a bodyguard of sorts. I have to thank my armour for getting me through that mess with assassins and spellhappy mages." He said. It was the truth, yet he didn't say that before becoming Brianna's unofficial bodyguard, he was a thief.

Satyana smiled, obviously Rann sthought she wanted to date him or something, she always felt it when a man feared something like that. But her aim was nothing of the sort. Deep inside she was almost certain that he was her brother, but she did not let the knowledge show at all. Strange thing he didn´t notice the similarities beween them! But then again, men, especially young ones normally did not notice things like that.

She realised he felt awkward towards her and that made her sad, all she wanted was to retrieve some kind of family, and finding a brother would be a wonderful thing! She decided to try to make it clear that he had nothing to fear from her in the sense of dating! Not that she would have minded though! She always ve had a soft spot for Dunmers!

"Ok Rann" She said, "I´ll be off then, see you later, oh and make sure to bring in some firewood when you come, we´re always short of it, please?"

She waved goodbye, mounted her black stallion and headed towards the Castle

"Sure." he replied before walking off. He felt bad for lying, since he had no intention of actually going back to the kitchens, but he felt like he had to get out of that situation.

He entered his house (that was closer to the size of a closet) and sat down in his chair. He was fighting himself, debating whether or not he should actually go.

Flogir

Flogir was quite intrigued that the smith had once been a bodyguard, evidently for someone important if he had to deal with assassination attempts and mages. His respect for the Breton grew just from the fact that he was being honest with him. But now, he had a deal to make.

"Hmm... for three pieces I think a fair trade would be 2 of those Steel Longswords, that Iron Spear, and 3 Steel Daggers," he said, listing off his demands.

Satyana

Satyana first went to the stables to see to the horse, there was always someone there who could help out, she felt bad about not naming the horse yet but she´d eventually come up with a name somehow.

Wonder if he really shows up? Somehow I think he wasn´t honest with me, darn it what´s the matter with him? Doesn´t he want to know of his family? Or doesn´t he know at all that he most certainly has a sister..

She decided to slip him out of her mind, there was too much work to do and the other kitchen-maids and cooks were already at work. Satyana went into the kitchen and started out with the hors d´oevres, rolls made from hackle-lo leaves with crabmeat inside. Then there were the desserts to attend to...

Not much time to consider about odd family-relations that perhaps not even is gonna happen!

OOC: Remember she wasn´t at first sure he was her brother! Her thoughts about not minding dating him was not related to their kinship! Just the fact that he´s a good looking dunmer, nothing else! tongue.gif

Rann

Rann ended up deciding not to go. He did, however, leave some firewood in the kitchen and still managed to get out unnoticed.

While he was in the castle, he decided to pay the countess and his father a visit. He wanted to know what was going on.

He saw the same stranger again, this time their roles were reversed. He was entering while the other was exiting.

Rahvin was already speaking with the countess, and Rann couldn't get close enough to hear without being scolded for eavesdropping. That thought made him realize the fact that he needed a clever excuse to explain his presence other than sheer curiosity.

He continued to wait, straining to hear what they were saying.

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan grew rather bored a grooming his horse, sure she enjoyed it, but he sure didn't. "Why can't you groom yourself?"He thought to
himself rather wistfully and then stored the brush away. It was getting darker and he supposed the party would be beginning sooner, then later.

With the money he got from his sold crossbow he purchased a set of much finer clothes then what he would normally wear, however they were still fairly utilitarian. A straight fronted jerkin with matching pants, and a belt to ad a bit of flavor. He thought he looked rather dashing, but figured he still couldn't leave his sword behind and quickly strapped that on as well.

After suiting up, Jonathan made his way to the castle, and after a short engagement with the guards he managed himself in the courtyard, aware that few people had arrived.

That commant was so off-target that Ian managed to clench his fist harder (to stop himself from burst into laughter). Oh, by Akatosh, that boy has quite a bit to learn. The regaining his composure he returned to the matter of Karn.

Yes, he is definitly coming, but not for me this time....... maybe it would be best to keep my silence and wait until the time is right. Then nodding to himself, Ian walked through a small bedroom in the Great hall to change, the room was clearly unused so there would be no unwelcome guests.

,,Oh, but it isn't you. Sorry, I thought you were someone else. Someone like your bignosed criminal brother. Whatever, you treekissing bugfaced shorties all look the same. And you're all as annoying as a Cliffracer with Telvanni Bug Musk." He said in a mocking tone.
,,And maybe you want to go to sleep? I'd love to hear those insults of yours."

Flint Ironwood, finishing the trade.

,,Deal. I'll throw in this bag with throwing darts, they're on the house. I always use them for pinning paper to the wall, rather odd really." He said as he collected the various goods Flogir desired.

After receiving the glass, Flint looked at the sun.
,,Well, it appears that the event is about to start. I've got to be going. Perhaps we'll meet again at the castle?"

Sodsa saw the grin and forced himself not to bring one of his own into the fray. Satyana was finished with most of her duties and was allowed to get into something nicer to wear, that is a waitress dress of course! She had promised to help out with that as well. A lot of people were mingling in the courtyard, Ragnar and Dalrus had set up the bar, maybe she could sneak out to say hallo to Dal´at least!

She slip into the black dress and put on her white apron and headed for the bar.

"Hey Dal! How´s it going? ...."she stopped, Dalrus was kissing that man....she recognised him from Lokken...hmmm Satyana sighed, that was Dal´alright! Always trying to seduce anything wearing trousers!

She looked around....no Rann! Oh yes she had noticed the firewoods....so he had been there but obviously he was avoiding her at all costs! That annoyed her a lot.

Maybe I´d try to speak to Rahvin..at least e seem to be decent enough to tell me what this is about

Satyana turned around and decided to see the Countess, maye there was some special tasks that were expected of her.

As she came closer to Countess Valga´s chambers she noticed Rann! And another man, staring at each other, then the man went into the small bedroom that was rarely used at all, merely for putting away sleepy children when necessary. Rann remained, and Satyana hid beneath a mannequin wearing a shiny armor and watched.......

Ian

He walked out of the door, and payed the young Dunmer assassin little heed. However Ian did notice a young Dunmer maiden hiding behind a suit of armor. He stared for a moment, then moved on to the courtyard....

Once outside, Ian spotted two young adults kissing beside the bartable. Mephala take me, do they even care how much attention their drawing to themselves? Sure enough, there were a few early arrivals who were staring at the couple...... Ian rolled his eyes, these days children have no subtlety. he walked up to the barkeeper and ordered some simple juice (Ian detested drinking)........

-----

Karn

Chorrol was a pretty sleepy and complacent town (meaning that the townsfolk weren't very vigilant). That was how Karn had easily snuck on top of a building over looking Castle Chorrol. The courtyard was full of activity, weak nobles, their only strength is in their treasury. Suddenly a blue gleam caught Karn's attention, and he was instantly full of rage. Ian..........

OCC: ok, this is pretty much the calm before the storm.....

Jonathan Constantine

"Shady looking honoured user.." Jonathan thought to himself, and then thought something caught the corner of his eye. "Just a bird" He mumbled to himself. The kiss was pleasant, but he felt it and didn't FEEL it, but he took her offer and approached the counter and received a mug of ale. It was nice and strong, Jonathan nursed it for a while and then turned to Dalrus.

"So whats the occasion for the party, éáútifulbú?"

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Nov 8 2006, 12:14 AM

Dalrus, Chorrol

"To be honest, I have no idea, however, its a nice excuse to hang out with everyone so it's fine with me." Dalrus was quite confused with everyone. She kissed him on the cheek, was that such a big deal? She had done worse in public a few years ago when she was living in the Imperial City. She rolled her eyes at the people who stared at her and when one asked for ale she replied coldly. "Its in the barrel."

Music was now playing as troubadours and bards sang and played. Dalrus tried to resist having a drink, being sought after by almost every guy in town meant whenever she did something, it was usually talked about. Dalrus did not really mind this attention, if it benefitted her or the bar, or especiall Satyana, however, most of the time it was just talking about something she did in a romantic or general degrading way for her.

She looked around for someone and wished she could have talked with Satyana more, she just had time to give satyana a friendly "Hey Yana, i hope to see you later on in the party."

Karn, now delighted

It doesn't matter that Ian is here, it only makes this all the more fun. Karn held out his open hand, and five throwing stars appeared in his hands. Now, who to kill? A young man and a woman stood out at the bar. But Ian would be such a sweet bonus, and then there would be one problem out of the way....

An evil grin full of malice spread across Karn's face, ok, lover boy. Here's the price for your lack of vigilance. Karn let loose a flock of shurikan, guided by his thoughts toward the young man........

OCC: the party is about to crash.......

Jonathan Constantine

Something felt wrong, like the air was wrong, it was as though the spirits were attempting to tell Jonathan something. "Oh well.." He reached over for his ale and tumbled out of his seat, it finally seemed to be getting him. Then a several solid "thunks" resounded against the wood backing of his seat.

"Ónófäsé-Ítchbä!" Jonathan exclaimed as he realized that several shurkins missed his body by more inches, "Dalrus! Get away!" A table in front of him became a shield in a solid second and he scanned the surrounding buildings for the source of the assault.

Ian

There was faint whisper and several thudding sounds that sounded like metal and wood. Ian spun around and saw the man take cover as a swarm of shurikan embedded themselves into the wooden bar and dissappear moments later. The partygoers were screaming and running around in blind panic...... Then he ran his gaze over the nearby rooftops for Karn. He has to be close, or that attack wouldn't have been possible.

Karn, show yourself! This is our fight not their's! Ian shouted mentally into the air. There was an instant reply. Hello Ian, you must realize that I came here for my own amusment, not our own fued. But if you really want to face me then so be it.

Ian was releaved and tense, ok, so he's going to fight me. Good, but I wish I had some back-up for this one.......

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan noticed the Imperial bring out his weapon and pull out towards the.. assailant.

"Friend of yours?" He growled, and unsheathed his own back sword.

Flogir

Flogir had all ready made his trade with Flint and decided that he would attend this party that was going on at the Countess' Estate. So he quickly took his purchases, placed them in his cart and decided to put on his finer clothing he kept on him just in case he dealt with a nobel of some sorts.

By the time he arrived in the Courtyard, Flogir knew something was wrong. Most people were running past him, faces frightened with fear. It was then that he saw an Imperial taking cover behind an overturned table, shurikens embedded into the wood.

Flogir immediately crouched into a defensive position, his soldier's instincts taking over. He pulled out his belt knife that he always carried, silently cursing the fact that he wished he had Iceshard with him right now. He quickly strafed his way across the yard to get behind the table. He turned to Imperial.

"Why is it that I never get to go to any of the nice parties? What seems to be going on here, sir?" he said, trying to make light the situation.

OOC: Ack! replace "Imperial" with "Breton", I meant to be speaking to Constantine

Dalrus, Chorrol Party

Dalrus gave Jonathan a reassuring look and suddenly rose from her hiding place. Electricity flowed around her, and her hair was waving wildly as electric shocks seemed to writhe through them. Her firey emerald eyes became focused and powerful looking. "Eck nol biau ne osh!" she shouted as lightning shot from her palm towards Karn.

The Silhouette, Forest near the Morrowind border

A dark figure sat on his midnight black horse. The horse was not a normal one, abnormally large and not well groomed, it seemed to have anger in it's eyes. The horse alone would be a scary site and it was much more menacing with the hooded figured with black metal gauntlets sitting on it's back. The figure had purple glowing eyes at night, though during the day these were invisible. He sat looking over Cyrodiil not with a smile, for he never showed emotion, plus you would not be able to see it anyway, but with a steel gaze. Six more of these figures sat on their horses near him, all identicle by their black cloaks, however, the Silhouette had something they did not, his morning star mace. He was about six foot nine, two inches taller than the others, and he spoke with more evil, though they all sounded similar.

"Bring me an army" he said in the most horrible voice. His voice was half whisper half hiss, and it was one of the most terrifying voices ever. The six other Möldåirê hissed in reply to his order and road off in different directions, black shadows through the forest.

Jonathan Constantine

"Damned if I know... Bad blood between those two possibly." He motioned over towards the Imperial, "Bloody wonderful if I didn't get in the middle of..." Jonathan began to notice Dalrus.. seemingly glow, electricity rippled across her toned body and lashed out towards the figure upon the buildings.

"Hmm, someone just got a whole lot more attractive.."

Flogir

Flogir followed the Breton's motion to an Imperial, staring off in the distance, his face deep in concentration. Flogir could tell the man was not happy with the situation at all, but yet he still expressed determination.

"Well it definately seems he knows something..." Flogir mused while maintaining his cover. He had no idea where the attacker was at the moment so he thought this would be the best thing to do at the moment.

He then noticed out of the corner of his eye the light emanating from the waitress that worked at the Lokken Tavern. Upon hearing the Breton's remark, Flogir chuckled and clapped him on the shoulder heartily.

"Well, if either the two of us had a chance, it would likely be you. I'm far too old for a lass like that. Now if you'll excuse me..." Flogir said, quickly making his way towards the Imperial to figure out the situation.

Ian

Suddenly there were plenty of people that seemed ready to fight. Note to self: pay more attention to 'normal' folk Ian berated himself. At least I have that back up now, but none of them look like stealth specialists. Oh well, I can't really complain.... Ian snapped his fingers and two bound daggers appeared in the air as Ian caught them. He's on the roof of that on tower in the main square! He yelled telepathically to the others..... I hope they know what their arts like I do, he mused.......

------

Karn

Karn shook with anticipation, ah, look how they all arrayed against me. Then there was a flash of lightning from that one girl which he sidestepped. Not bad, but can you fight hand-to-hand as well as cast spells? He burst of the tower and landed in the road to look over his opponents...... "This will be fun," He muttered aloud, as he stabbed a guard who tried to sneak up on him...... Better luck next time......

Rann

Rann, didn't overhear anything except the commotion outside. He looked towards the door, to make sure nobody was coming in, and when he looked back towards his father and Countess Valga, they were gone. Rahvin was taking her someplace safe. It was his job, after all.

He pulled his katana from its sheath on his back and strode out the door, not seeing Satyana as he passed her.

He walked right into an odd scene. People standing at the ready, with a strange man being their apparent target.

He found himself beside the man that was staring at him earlier. "We may not be on the best of terms, but I would like to know what the hell is going on." he said to him.

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan interjected, "Seems his friend over their is in the mood for a party, and not quite the one we were at.." He stopped talking and inched closer to the target gripping his back sword in one hand, absently groping the pommel of his dirk in the other, ready to whip it out in a moments notice.

Flogir

Flogir was quite surprised to hear a voice inside his head telling him where the attacker was. In all of his years of battle, this was a first.

Brushing off the odd sensation, Flogir noticed the Dunmer he met in Bruma, named Sel, appear from out of the castle. Flogir intended to acknowledge him but he noticed that Sel instead asked the Imperial to figure out what was going on. Curious himself, Flogir listened intently as he kept a wary eye on the surroundings.

Luper Alkad, dealing with clichés.

Luper continued his grin.
,,Well, aren't you lucky that I'm not your average Redguard. You see, I love Magicka." He said before knocking Sodsa of his feet with a wave of Telekinesis. Luper then marched for the door.
,,It's getting late and I want to try out the booze at the party. See you around, shortie."
,,Oh, one more thing. Your pants are on fire." He added after having 'accidentally' flicked a small fireball at the Bosmer.

(The fire isn't anything serious, just a little bit of smoke. I bet that Sodsa is quite angry now though.)

Flint Ironwood, the party.

Flint had remained behind while figuring out whether or not he should change clothes. He decided not to. Now, he was happy for that.
,,What is going on here?" He muttered when he arrived. He cast his jumps spell followed by invisibility and flew up to the castle wall. Once there, he unsheathed his two katanas, the Storm and the Blade. He was aware that he'd turned visible again. It didn't matter. With his hood drawn over his face, he looked exactly like a Dark Brotherhood assassin.

,,The brotherhood of the night has arrived! Pray for your souls, mortals!" He shouted to hopefully get the attention of everyone. If they would start aiming for him, he could always escape. Flint coughed under his breath.
,,Creepy voices are bad for my throat. Now let's hope that no one realizes that a real assassin wouldn't go yelling at people."

Satyana, following after Rann, without being seen

Satyana overheard the commotion outside, and hoped the Countess was taken to a safe place. She noticed Rann coming out of the chambers of Her Highness and head towards the scene of the noise.

She followed him just as far from him not to be noticed, and went into the same odd scene as Rann. She put her hand over her mouth and quickly stepped farther into the shadows. She feared that some kind of fight would start soon, and prepared in her mind to cast some healing-spells if necessary.

Dalrus....I hope you are OK....and Rann....be careful...

"So, assassin boy, you want to be a hero?" Karn evaluated all of them with cold eyes...... "Be ready for anything." Then, in a quieter voice. "Why didn't I bring my bow?"

Karn

A young Dunmer in dark clothes stepped beside Ian and whispered something to him. Ian muttered a quiet reply, and the Dunmer nodded slightly. And then some fool was shouting from atop the battlements, odd, one would think the Dark Brotherhood knew how to accomplish silent kills...... Oh, well...

"Seven against one," He shouted. "That seems a little unfair." Then grinning malevolently. "So I shall make it even less equal!" Karn made several rapid hand signs and felt a tearing sensation. He opened his eyes, and beheld six of his carbon copies (each with his power and knowledge). "Now prey," he chuckled. "Face your death."

Sodsa Hekal, Tavern

Sodsa saw the smoke and patted it out. He stood up and his hand made a slight twitch toward his arrows. He stood there and waited for a minute after the Redguard left the tavern and then headed out himself. Sodsa looked around when he got out side and saw the Redguard walking down the road to the party.

"Well, I'm goin' to other way, shouldn't run into him for a while." Sodsa walked down the road to the clothier and counted his gold, "Should be enough for a good pair clothes and maybe a cloak if I'm lucky."

Stepping into the shop, Sodsa walked up to the man behind the counter, "Uh yeah, I'd like to get something a bit more good looking then this." Sodsa signaled to his present ones.

The man behind the counter grimaced and turned to the wall behind him, "So do you want some thing specially tailored or decorative?"

It was Sodsa's turn to grimace, "No, just a good set of clothes will be fine, besides i doubt i have enough money for anything else."

"Suit yourself, changing room's in back, but you'll never get yourself a girl tonight with those clothes."

Sodsa shrugged, "There are things more important than clothes ya know, like staying alive." Sodsa took a mound into the back, leaving the man standing there looking over his expensive silks.

A few minutes later Sodsa came out with a shirt and pants, "This will be good, How much?"

The man looked over the clothes and then looked squarely at Sodsa, "That will be 50 septims."

"What!? 50 septems!? if anything i'd give you 40 for this, and thats generous!"

"Sorry ser, but the price is 50, take it or leave it."

Sodsa sighed and grabbed a cloak from beside the door, make it 55 and throw in the cloak."

The retailer shrugged and nodded as Sodsa threw the coins across the counter. "thank you for your generosity ser."

"Yeah whatever" Sodsa went back in to the back room and changed, tossing his old clothes in his pack. "well now time to join the party." Sodsa headed out the door towards the town square.

Dalrus, Chorrol

Dalrus rolled her eyes when the man sidestepped her attack and gloated. She was merely trying to warn him, and hopefully hit him, though it was not a big deal. With her great supply of magic she needn't worry. She was very comforted to see Satyana standing near, her healing power was very useful and rarely did Dalrus go someplace with out her. She fired off another blast of electricity at the attacker.

The Silhouette, Near lake Canulus

The Silhouette rode through the dense forests of middle-eastern cyrodiil. His horse's hooves were the only noise that could be heard. He came upon a small encampment filled with bandits who had just returned from a raid. Suddenly before he was within one hundred feet of him they were drawn towards him by his power. Those with wicked intentions were naturally drawn to the Silhouette and the rest of the Möldåirê.
"Ccomme to mee!" he said in his whispering voice(keep in mind it sounds like a whisper but can still be loud).

The bandits followed him, they had control of themselves, however, they seemed to have utmost loyalty to him. One bandit, however, was not like the others, Lithnoa, a high elf, did not have a completely wicked heart, he suddenly grabbed a dagger and charged at the Silhouette.

"Fool," the Silhouette said angrily. The man stabbed towards him, however, he was met with the huge morning star of the Silhouette. Lithnoa's entire body was crushed under the huge weight of the mace. The small group of eight bandits follwed the Silhouette as he rode through the forest. They went up into the mountains and there he left them in a large cave, filled with suplies for thousands. Another Möldåirê was coming up into the cave with around one hundred goblins following him.

Flogir, starting to feel like he's getting into something over his head...

Flogir's eyes darted to the Dark Brotherhood assassin on top of the castle walls. He found it odd that an assassin would purposefully draw attention to himself. Evidently, they were up to something, or very stupid.

Is he aiding this attacker or something? Seems like something the Brotherhood would do... he thought as he returned his attention to the Dunmer that intiated the attack.

To his horror, there now stood several look alikes of the Dunmer, each as menancing as the original, whichever that was.

"Now I REALLY wished I had Iceshard... and my armour," Flogir muttered as his eyes narrowed. He prepared his knife, knowing quite well that he didn't stand much of a chance with the weapon he possessed. Still, there was no way he could escape, so like the soldier he was, he planned to stay and fight until death or victory befell him.

He bristled, that's a new trick; wonder where he learned THAT. Karn had used some sort of ninja skill to create copies of himself, and they didn't seem like simple illusion, they looked solid. I don't think the watch can break fight this up. One Karn can kill five guards, so seven could kill....... two entire garrisons!!! This is going to get ugly.....

"Thanks. I was always a sucker for the ice embued weapons. Always thought it fitting of my heritage," he said dryly, "I'll make sure to get this back to you after this is over."

His training in Kvatch had been extensive enough that he had learnt how to fight with multiple weapons. With the dirk and his knife, he felt more confident in surviving this ordeal now. Despite the fact that they were facing several versions of one person. He noticed that the Imperial was taken aback by this trick.

"Is there any tips you might wanna tell us before we start fighting this guy?" Flogir asked the Imperial, anxious to get this over with, "I at least want to have one drink tonight."

Ian

Realizing that the others were looking to him for advise, Ian racked his memory for all the times he'd fought Karn in the past. Karn is fast, but only in bursts, and those tend to tire him over time. So keep him moving until he tire outs, and the more of these copies we take out the less we have to work. I think a little teamwork would be the best tactic in this fight not fighting one on one. Ian advised telepathically. Then he turned to the Dunmer beside him and held out his hand. "Want to work together?" He asked, he could guess that the boy was a loner, but he could probably use the experience in group combat..... That and karn seemed to be getting impatient.

Rann

"It's completely unnecessary, but sure." he answered, not taking the time to shake the man's hand. "You've apparently fought him before, so lead on."

He cursed the fact that someone could put messages into his head. Not fun. There had to be a way to put a stop to that.

Flogir

Paying heed to the Imperial's advice, Flogir turned to the Breton.

"Well, since those two are pairing up, it seems best for us to pair up. Besides, you seem to be more enjoyable company than those two wet blankets," Flogir said, a wry smile appearing across his face.

The smile was replaced by a grim expression rather quickly though. It was time to get to business.

Jonathan Constantine

"Yes, quite. Shall we?" Jonathan answered, and then began to charge forward. He was never quite the up and front fighter, but he prided himself in the bit of sword work he possessed.

He reached about three arm lengths from one of the copies...

(What are these things using?)

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 9 2006, 03:05 PM

Flint Ironwood, the castle wall.

Flint drew attention, as he'd hoped. Unfortunately, the single man suddenly created copies of himself somehow.
,,I'll be damned if I let anyone get killed here." He muttered to himself and swung the Storm once. A bolt of Telekinesis shot towards one of the clones.

(Note: The Storm's fires bolts that throw people off their feet, nothing more. The Blade though, fires Telekinetic blades that can actually cut through and kill stuff.)

Luper Alkad, arriving.

Luper stepped through the gates and took in the scene. He then shrugged and casually walked over to a barrel where he tapped himself a cup of brandy. With the cup in hand, he stood on the sidelines, watching the show.
,,Now this is quality entertainment! In one corner, we have the colourful band of partygoers. In the other, we have one big guy with his many identical twin brothers. Place your bets now!" He joked.

Satyana

Satyana "heard" Rann cursing the fact that he had telepathic ability, and she smiled, not a happy smile though. She also had this ability and she was sure it was from her mother´s bloodline, so there was another proof Rann was her brother. She understood he didn´t like that whole thing so she decided to help out. Serene had taught her how to "control the mind" of oneself and shut off the ability to receive unwanted messages, ther was some kind of filtering-technique as well.....and she knew it well!

Rann, if you want to be able to control your mind, and control the ability of others putting unwanted messages into it, come see me, I know how you can do it and I also know some other things you might find ....interesting!

Her head ached, she focused on getting through to him.....

Dalrus, Chorrol

Dalrus looked at the group of fighters who suddenly started attacking the clones. She conjured up a deadroth and then charged into the fight with electricity shooting at three of the clones. Her hair was wild and blew with the electricity.

The Silhouette, Eastern Cyrodiil

A small village was nestled in the heart of a small river valley, north east of Leyawiin.

"I've heard of strange happenings in the mountains by morrowind Tee-Nien" said a plump imperial man to his argonian friend. "Folks say there are riders, all black, whispering things in the forest, no one has seen one up close, though some have disappeared mysteriously"he said in a worried voice

"I thiink somethiing is brewwing, somethiing bad my friend" the argonian said after laying his pitchfork in a shed.

"I don't like these stories, scare me to death, thats what they do" he said shaking his head.

The Silhouette called out in a whispering voice that carried with the wind. It called those of wicked hearts to come.

Posted by: Lord Revan Nov 9 2006, 11:08 PM

Karn, Original

The flirting man rushed forward first, the girl summoned deadra to fight for them, and a Redguard swigged a mug of ale and made snide comments. Don't worry, when I kill these ' colorful partygoers' I'll kill you. Before any of the clones could engage the enemy, however, something blasted several off their feet, but Karn slid only a short distance.
A lightning bolt struck some of the clones while they were off-balance, however it did only minor damage. Still the cheap shot had successfully earned his fury. Attack! Leave no one alive, I'll take the one on the wall Karn shouted telepathically to his copies. He leaped onto the battlements and faced the D. Brotherhood assassin. "Time to die," he whispered to the Breton.

OCC: the copies weild the same skills and weapos that Karn does, so they have Dreadric shortswords and bound shurikan......

-----

Ian

The six copies lunged forward, but Karn jumped toward the battlements. Ian payed the Dunmer's- Rann's- discomfort for telepathy no heed. We'll use a flanking stratagy for now, until he gets tired. But save your energy, and keep him dodging. He braced himself for the oncoming attack, as the shadow Karns closed in......

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Nov 9 2006, 11:32 PM

Flogir

Flogir followed quickly behind the Imperial who had given him the dirk. He noticed that the clones were swept off their feet by a telepathic attack, unfortunately he didn't see the origin of the attack.

He stayed close to the Imperial as he engaged the nearest clone, ready to attack an exposed back when the chance arrived. It was the best thing he thought he'd be able to do, given the length of the blades he was using.

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan had about a foot more of weapon reach then the clone did, and he'd use that to his advantage. Normally he was quite offensive with his sword play, and he stepped it up a notche. However the clone managed to parry his blows. They circled around a bit, each trading a jab, for the clone, a slash for Jonathan, but not doing much good.
His eyes, however, stayed ever apperent of the Nord he had grouped with, "So my frie--" He grunted as he parried the short sword off to the side, "--nd.. By what should I call you?" He took a moment to slash at the clones mid-section, missing, but causing it to wobble off balance. His following strike was solidly blocked however.. "Cunning little buggers these are.." He thought and resumed his deadly dance.

Sodsa Hekal, Close to the fun

Sodsa stepped into the square and saw the ruckus, "Damn, well, there goes the party." Sodsa scanned to area for anyone he knew that was in immediate danger (he looks after his friends biggrin.gif) and saw the redguard from the tavern drinking away while everyone else fought. As much as Sodsa wanted to talk to some extent, he knew that unless he helped there would be no party if this didn't end soon, even though the chances of a party now were slim as they were. Sodsa took the bow off of his shoulder and set an arrow, letting it loose into the back of one of the people that looked strangely like the others.

ooc:I guess i got the wrong impression, i thought the party was in the castle. And as you can see, he is assuming who to attack biggrin.gif the copies look a bit more suspicious then the party goers. So how much of a beating can these guys take before dieing?

Posted by: Lord Revan Nov 10 2006, 12:58 AM

OCC: well,........ they can take more than most can (but a few accurate shots 'fatalities' would destroy them). Of course Karn doesn't have dying very high on list of things to do....... **jots down a list of Karn's favorite things to do**

Now that I think of it, i probably should have put that in the planning thread, oh well.

Flogir

Flogir circled around the two combatants, waiting for his moment to strike. When he heard the Imperial's question, he couldn't supress a grim smirk.

"The name is Flogir. But I suggest you try to focus on the task at hand," Flogir said and decided to lunge in a quick strike with the dirk. The dirk strike was a glancing blow but the magicka imbued within it enhanced the damage done. It was enough to draw the clone's attention towards him. At least momentarily.

Flogir went back into a defensive position that would allow him to move more freely. "C'mon, you s'wit!" he taunted the clone.

Posted by: Channler Nov 10 2006, 01:37 AM

Jonathan Constantine

After a strike that came to dangerously close to his head, he decided to heed Flogir's advice, and focus.

"So.. where is your weakness... Hah, bad footing, twas always a killer.."

Jonathan noticed the clones, constant, mistake. It's footing was just so, his earlier blow towards the clone knocked it off balance, if he could just repeat..

He pulled his weight behind one swing, it'd be a gambit, but he was always a gambler. If it suceeded he could have this fight over in seconds.. If not, well the fight would be over in seconds regardless, just not with the intended outcome. His sword arched horizontally towards the copy, which in turn put it's flat part of the sword against his hand and attempt to reinforce the block.

The swords connected, but with Jonathan's breaking the guard and throwing the clone to the ground. Jonathan quickly stepped on it's sword arm to keep it supressed and plunged his sword down between the neck of the clone. The body twiched for a few seconds, and then went coldly limp, disenigrating before his very eyes. "Ha, I win.."

After his gloat over the fading body, Jonathan rushed to reinforce Flogir...

Rann

The strategy didn't fit his style. Keep him dodging? That was his own main strong point; using speed and agility rather than brute force to gain advantage. He was usually the one that kept to dodging. He'd die any other way.

It soon didn't matter, as the real target ran away and left his copies to do the real work. "hamster." was all he had to say as he put his back to Ian's as the circle of cpoies around them grew smaller.

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Nov 10 2006, 02:24 PM

Dalrus, Chorrol

Dalrus fired one last blast at one of the copies and it fell apart. Suddenly she stopped with the electric flow through her body and the area suddenly became less windy. "Well that was interesting. What could have drawn him away?" she said aloud. "I don't think we've seen the last of him," she said to herself. She grabbed a drink of comberry punch and gave a sigh of relief. "Satyana, what should we do now?" she asked her friend.

The Silhouette, Near Cheydinhal

Darkness, it was spreading in the east. The Silhouette had already been to morrowind, he had burnt many villages on the border and goblins and bandits from the Valus mountains started to receive his call, coming down and setting up camps on the Cyrodiil side. Dark things from caves, that should not be seen in daylight came. Ogres, trolls, vampires, necromancers, daedra, and many others, all came to him. Word of this has not reached everyone, only rumors, many many rumors of what was going on.

"Sir!" said a robed mage as he rode into the Arcane University.

"What is it Vadonus" barked Silnder, the leader of the Mages guild.

"You have heard of those rumors, those ones about the evil in the east?" he said getting off as a guard took his horse to the stables.

"Yes i have heard them!" he yelled in an evil whisper-voice, his eyes were dark and he did not look at Vadonus in the eye.

"Sir, the necromancers we were sent to root out left, at least a day before we arrived. Not only that we came upon a shrine and we saw the daedra and cultists leaving, all going east," Vadonus said worriedly.

"Many things go east Vadonus, many things." he said as seven mages with dark robes on came out of the building. "We have business east, in Cheydinhal" he said putting on his hood and calling for their horses

"I will look after things while you are gone" said vadonus "as usual"

"NO!" Silnder yelled. "No you will not, Mintriel, the librarian will" he said smiling. Mintriel, was not a warrier and only cared about history and the books.

Luper Alkad, having fun.

Luper was merrily drinking as he watched the show. When one of the clones came too close though, He dashed forward, grabbed the clone with one hand and smacked it against a nearby wall. The blade of Chrysamere plunged into the thing's back a moment later, pinning it to the wall.
,,Well, maybe I can get my share of the fun?"

Flint Ironwood, pessimistic.

Flint noticed satisfied that his blast did have the result of knocking the clones of their feet. However, that just seemed to spark the battle which was something he had wished to avoid. Worst of all, the original had now taken interest in him.
"Oh, great. I'm death" He thought as he went into a defensive stance. It had been literally years since the last time he'd really fought.
"Point-blank telekinetic barrage, that might work. Long enough for me to hop away." Flint thought and took one step forwards. He raised both of his blades and then cut downward, unleashing both of the sword's powers as he did so. Then, he jumped back to see how it worked.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Nov 10 2006, 04:07 PM

ooc:Yeah i probably should have helped a bit more during the fight...

Sodsa Hekal, the party

Sodsa crouched down in front of a clone and pulled out a dagger, slicing the clone up the front with it. With the Clone still recovering from the slash, Sodsa grabbed another dagger and tossed it right at the clone's chest, causing him to fall over backwards. As Sodsa was looking over his kill and bent down to retrieve his dagger, he felt an excruciating pain in his right arm and looked back to see another clone bring down its deadric shortsword onto his shoulder. Sodsa yelled out in pain and clasped the mutilated shoulder.

edit: ooc: wait, how many are there again? I took out one, Luper just got one, Floro got one, i have another attacking me... that leaves?

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 10 2006, 04:12 PM

Luper Alkad, to the resque!

The clone raised its shortsword and brought it down once more on the Bosmer. The sword though was stopped by the pure blade of Chrysamere.
,,Not that fast, pal. Never forget about your surroundings." Luper grinned as he smacked an armoured fist into the clone's face, making it stagger. He then fired a lance of fire through its heart.

Turning to the Bosmer, Luper crouched down.
,,Need help? That shoulder is pretty much busted unless we can find a decent healer."

(Yeah, surprising considering their 'brawl' earlier. But that's just how Luper is. He's decided that the clones are the bad guys and therefore helps anyone who's fighting them.)

Edit: Err, there were six. With this one gone, that leaves two? And Karn himself of course.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Nov 10 2006, 04:19 PM

Sodsa Hekal, saved...

Sodsa looked up at the redguard and pulled on him to stand up with his good arm. "Yeah, i figured, i had best get this thing fixed or else I'm a good as dead in the long run, even if i do live through this." Sodsa looked around and saw that the other two clones preoccupied. "Well, thanks, I guess you aren't a total honoured user after all." Sodsa tried to pull out a chuckle and managed a weak one. "So where's this healer your talkin' about?"

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 10 2006, 04:25 PM

Luper Alkad, helping.

Luper though about the question. Did he know some good healers? Well, he did know a few back in Morrowind, his Morrowind. However, that was a bit too far right now.
,,Well, I'm proud of my reputation so don't tell anyone. Now about that shoulder. I'd say there should be a healer in the nearest temple. Wanna fly there? I'm a real fast flyer." He said and extended his hand.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Nov 10 2006, 05:10 PM

Sodsa Hekal, in pain

"Fly? I've never flown before." Sodsa looked at the hand, "And i don't think i've properly introduced myself, I'm Sodsa Hekal, a rogue of sorts."

Posted by: minque Nov 10 2006, 09:18 PM

Satyana, to the rescue

Trouble ahead, Satyana thought seeing at least the nice Bosmer being hurt....and Flint? wasn´t he..ah well, and when Dalrus asked her what was to be done, there was only one answer:

"Helping those who are wounded"

Satyana didn´t realy grasp the battle but basicall sneaked her way into it, trying to get close to the Bosmer since she reckoned he was the first to need help.

She noticed the handsome Breton who Dalrus kissed before....and she gave him a quick glance before she fell on her knee beside Sodsa the Bosmer.

His shoulder looked nasty, and she pulled out some foul-smelling grime which she put directly on the wound.

"Yes it will hurt at first but be patient, it will help you in a short while"

She looked around all the time hoping that nobody would try to kill her ......and searched for more wounded...

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 10 2006, 09:41 PM

Luper Alkad, getting out of here.

Luper stepped back to let the woman do her job.

,,Assassins here and strange talks of necromancers and bandits heading east. What's going on with this place?" A nearby guard said. He seemed rather reluctant to join the battle. Luper shrugged as he shook the Wood elf's hand.
,,Luper Alkad, swordswinger and battlemage of sorts."

After the introductions, Luper walked away, without looking back.
"Bad guys are heading east? I should take a look then." He thought, his hand gripping Chrysamere's handle.

(Alright, the Silhouette might notice some death bad guys lying around. Those have been taken care of by Luper before he dissappeared. Nothing but a minor nuisance to the Silhouette really. Consider Luper to be out of the RP, he was simply too powerful.)

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Nov 10 2006, 10:28 PM

Flogir

It seemed the battle was winding down as the clone he and the Imperial had engaged was defeated. He looked around and saw that there were significantly lower numbers of clones.

Puffing deeply, Flogir wiped the sweat from his brow. I'm getting too old for this... he mused in his head as he turned back to the Imperial.

"Now that we have a bit of time, I can finially get your name. Mr...?" Flogir said, extending his hand.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Nov 10 2006, 10:32 PM

Sodsa, being treated

Sodsa saw Luper walk off and was about to say something but Satyana just placed the gunk into his wound and he grimaced. "Hrm, Satyana right? Well I thank you, i don't know what i'd do if this thing was crippled." Sodsa leaned up against a wall and started to wrap this shoulder with his old shirt.

ooc:Figures he buys something new and its already ruined tongue.gif

"Constantine, Jonathan Constantine" Jonathan replied, returning the gesture. He smirked a little, "Quite a little exercise aye?" He planted his sword in the ground.

Flogir

"Aye. I haven't worked as hard as that since that one time a group of bandits thought they could rob me. That was.... five years ago," he said, laughing dryly. Finally he caught his breath.

"Let's go have some ale, Jonathan. It better be on the house now," he said to Jonathan, waving the Imperial to follow him along.

OCC: Oh god! I called him an Imperial again! Sorry!

Jonathan Constantine

"One second, I'm going to find out if anyone needs anymore help.. That Bosmer looks pretty torn up.." Jonathan trotted over towards Satyana and the little elf.

"Madam, sir? Do you require any assistance?" He asked, eying the woman a fraction of a second longer then the Bosmer.

"Thank you Sir, I´d appreciate a hand with this poor man here, he´ll be better off a bit out of the heat..maybe you could help me move him inside so he can get some rest"

Karn

The "deaths" of his clones caused Karn to flich, and the Breton's telekenetic wave blasted him of the wall.
Just before Karn hit the ground, though, he righted himself and slammed onto his feet and felt a dull pain in his legs.
Then he looked up and watched as the fools were already thinking that this was over. Now furious Karn was about to cast a powerful technique, when suddenly a quiet whispering voice flowed through his mind.
Come...... Come to me The voice was tantalizing, and now that Karn stopped to think about it, he realized this battle was a lost cause. Next time, He said telepathically. Next time will be different.

And with that he turned and departed moving so fast that he wasn't visible anymore........

Ian

That was quick, Ian thought. Maybe I should tag along with these young ones for awhile, especially Rann. He's got some potential...... He reminds me of Issac. How long has it been since I've talked to you son? He knew that it had been several months ago since he'd seen Issac. Karn was gone, for now. The others were already addressing their wounds. Smart kids, they'll do fine. he thought to himself. Might as well get my stuff, could be moving on by tommarow......... And Ian walked toward the castle doors. Matbe I should send for Issac, It's been far too long since I last saw him.........

Jonathan Constantine

"It is, it is.." Jonathan grinned a bit, and pushed a thought out of his mind, "So shall we get you inside?" He said to particularly no one, and moved to help the Bosmer up. With an arm around his neck and his supporting the mer they began to hobble towards the building.

"So Ms.. Is is it Mrs.?.. Satyana, what are you studying at the University?" Jonathan already knew the answer to the first question, but asked anyways. Perhaps it was just required of him, but he relished in the first of the catch.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Nov 11 2006, 12:44 AM

Sodsa Hekal, being helped inside

Sodsa was hobbling into the building with the two's help and before Satyana could say anything, Sodsa jumped into the conversation for a second, "Thanks for the help, Jonathan. The name's Sodsa, Sodsa Hekal."
