Good, I'll bring forward the plan right now.
Ian is already headed to the Valus Mountains; he'll probably avoid Flint because it's against policy to give an "outsider" the location of a training ground......
But I doubt Flint would let that stop him.
I don't think that the two should meet. Both are doing their best to remain hidden and Flint is not in the position to worry about a single, not-hostile agent.
So, what should Flint find? Lots of burnt out campfires, bottles of booze lying around? Maybe the rear guard? I guess only Florodine knows what can be found up in the Valus mountains.
Okies...I just wonder how to continue, for one the relations between Satyana, Issac and ..well Rann of course..then for the second, the "plot" involving Rahvin and Brianna.....it could and I think should lead to something.....I don´t know what exactly.....
From what I noticed it seemed that Rahvin and Sadril were going to try and find Amrita. But that's just me.
Not me, that's for sure. Green-Root was supposed to be this quite evil character (since the Sil looks like the winning side.) only now he has turned into this mysterious fella who opposes the good guys at one moment yet gives them advise the next. I'm just confused with my own character here.
Hmm, Mallet? He knows a thing or two about how to write evil. Just read Bloodlust. Only if he's willing of course.
Speaking of the Sil, I do hope Florodine gets on soon. I've got two characters who are tied up in a situation with two of Florodine's. (Fervus with Eurod and Green-Root with the Sil respectively.)
Well, I can safely say that MM is evil
I could take a shot at an evil female character as well. Most of my characters are grey anyway (Issac's the only one who is close to white).
I was pretty sure that it was decided that I would assume the role of Amrita until Tellie shows up once again. I've just been keeping her on the backburner until it's required for her to appear. Me and Shogun and Danny were working on it I guess.
But it can't really get anywhere at the moment until the conversation between Rahvin, Sadril and Brianna is done.
Brianna, Rahvin etc. just left the tavern in Chorrol I believe
hey sorry guys, im still in the rp, i just had some things come up and had to travel to where internet didnt exist. I should be actually online later tonight/early tomarrow.
Ok, so the group is planning to go to the IC, Flint is going there too, Ian is meeting up with the agents, Virec and Voltar are discussing their next move, Karn is stalking the group, and Green-Root might get punished........ And the Wandering Sage is in the Great Forest and is waiting for word from someplace...... or just for someone to show up.
And we have no idea where ALtec The Wanderer is.........
Maybe he could meet up with Karn and they can become allies against the party. You know what they say, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Thats a possibility.. Hmm, I'll think about it...
I'm going on passive for a while. Both Fervus and Green-Root require interaction with Florodine's characters and I don't want Flint to arrive at the city before the others. Sure, he's fast. But he's not that fast. He travelled much further after all. First to the Valus mountains, then back.
ok... so of the evil child (her name eludes me continuously), we have to decide where she is before we (sadril, bri, and rahvin) decide where to start looking right?
also i suppose veric will vanish once more for a time, keep him mysterious
my appologies to metal, voltar has been inactive becuase veric was not being controlled.
im really sorry Cloudy, I'm back now so your characters will not be stuck. Where do you want Fervus to go. The whole group is just kinda hanging out, what is the last thing he said to Eurod?
I dunno. I personally thought that Eurod might be charged with finding out where the Reavers came from. Fervus could join him in that case. I copied his last post over to here.
Fervus Noctus, Bruma.
,,Impressive, yes. However, it will take more than a day for my staff to recover. Great power comes at a great price after all." The lich said absently.
,,I'm not a hero. Trust me, I'm not. If I had paid attention to the signs before it was too late, then perhaps I could have done something worthy of the title hero. If only, how often have I said these words? If only. Salina will have to wait. For now, I plan on finding who or what is behind this." He continued, still in the same tone of voice. He wasn't talking to Eurod any longer, yet the man still heard his words.
,,What has the power to command everyone whose hart harbours the shadows of evil?"
He looked up, suddenly realizing that his new friend was still there.
,,Please don't listen to an old man's ramblings. Thank you for your kind words. If there is any way I can help, you have but to ask."
Hey jack, why do you always put your quotes like ,," instead of ""? Just curious really
That's how I learned it at school. Open low, close high. It is rather hard to switch over to open high, close high. I don't think it really matters in the end.
And Ian makes a choice that will change his life forever.
He's decided to let himself become a vampire so he can finally kill Karn.
EDIT: don't worry Jack, we can understand you anyway!
I do hope that Ian understands the consequences of vampirism.
Let's see. I wonder if there's anything for Green-Root to do. Some spying on Bruma perhaps? Find out why the Reavers were beaten?
Fervus is ready to go at any time. And Flint, he'll arrive at the Imperial city later. I just realize that the Breton has flown all across the province. Damn, I love Tarhiel.
I... or rather Serene is mostly concerned about Karn......eww
Oh, yes Ian knows all about vampirism (I can't recall the complicted name for it). He's worked with vampires before....... not all those business relationship turned out well.
Don't try this, kids!
Yes, Karn is very interested in the group now that a legend has joined its ranks....... Thanks alot Rann!!!
Minque, Serene might recognize Dalrus from her aunt, who looks just like her. Her aunt is Dalrus from WoH, and Serene and Dalrus were friends there. Tellie, Dalrus and Serene were the tree mage friends there.
I thought that WOH was an alternate timeline though. Oh well, it's your choice.
So, I'm wondering, where should Karn take Satyana. All that I've said is they go East..... But not where, East. So should he go back to the Valus Mountains..... or just hunker down somewhere in between?
If it's the latter, then there are planty of caves and Aylied ruins...... and forts.
wait, why did he take Satyana, The Sil said to kill all of them, its Veric that wants specifically Satyana and Rann?
Well, I suggested the Valus Mountains because they are the center of the Sil's power, and would make an effective trap for the rest of the group. Karn took Satyana to lure them to a place where he could kill the group easier......
Or Virec could call him......... But Shogun has been off for some time........
ok, well it doesnt matter, wherever you want to kill thim is fine. Mountains work.
Very well, It's because most of the SIlhouete's army is there. It seemed like a likely strategy. So, are we going to get them there now or later?
Oh, and Ian will probably reunite with the group there...... as a vampire, I wonder how everyone will react?
of course the group cant take on his army so it might have to be sneaking.
Naturally, but then the bulk of the army is of conquering. But there should still be a sizable rear-gaurd against Black Marsh and Morrowind.......
Hmm..do we really have to get killed?
No, then there would be no story...... or at least there would be less of a story. But something might happen while everyone is in the Valus Mountains.......
just to remind everyone, Dalrus is unconcious.
vvardenfell is a ways away, perhaps we can run into her (someone remind me of her name again plz) before we get there? we referring to sadril, bri and rahvin
Tamriel is a ways away? the whole continent is Tamriel...
her name is amrita, by the way.
Dantrag is correct, all the provinces make up Tamriel. Cyrodiil is the center of Tamriel (figures, since it's the capital).
yeah yeah lets all laugh at shogun who gets tamriel and vvardenfell mixed up...
sadril suggested vvardenfelll btw because i think someone suggested it earlier and i had no other ideas
eh heh.... um i'm sorry guys, i was doing other stuff. I'll catch up as soon as possible.
Why is nobody going after Karn? Everybody's up now but Rann, and he won't be any time soon, so you all have my permission to either leave him there or throw him on a horse and go.
I'd be much obliged if someone would drag Rann's horse along.
Dalrus will on my next post, since well.. she has a thing for him and all.
I think Fervus is going to sneak out of Bruma and cause mayhem in the Valus mountains. Then Flint won't have to sacrifice himself as a distraction. Fear the power of the Lich! He has rejected the cloak of mortality and embraced the fury of immortal power!
The Silhouette isnt even near the Valus Mountains though, so it will be Karn facing them. The Silhouette is near the coast of black marsh.
Hmmm good we´re just looking for that guy, he´s got something, or someone we would like to get back!
So we´re on our way, unfortunately Rannie is a bit disabled, but hopefully he´ll recover before we meet the mighty Karn......
I hate to say it, but Karn had better keep a huge army nearby. Or he needs to be really uber himself. With the current firepower we have (Dalrus, Serene) and the somewhat less but still capable meleestrenght (Issac, Flogir, Rann, Jonathan if he's back.) we've got quite a powerful force. If Sodsa manages to join us in time, we'll also have an archer among us. Then finally, there is a Telekinesis maniac to annoy the heck out of everyone.
So yes, without the Sil Karn is in for a rough time. Ok, time for Fervus to sneak out of Bruma.
Hmm this could be interesting. Karn VS the whole group. I'm going to have Eurod kinda rally the army of Cyrodiil. Or right now just Bruma, but when the Silhouette returns with something he will ralley the rest of the province.
Arco will lone for a bit - he suspects that Karn doesn't know of him yet, so he'll stay in the shadows in Valus Mountains - killing some troops in silence and jump in when Karn least expects it, to save the day... lol
Anyway... Taking this map: http://www.nfist.ist.utl.pt/~abc/files/misc/Oblivion%20-%20Map%20of%20Cyrodiil%20(from%20elderscrolls.phx.pl).jpg
Where would you place Sil's and Karn's camp?
Wow, that map is lightyears ahead of the one I borrowed from the UESP. Hold on for a moment and I'll come back with my answer.
Edit, how about Fort Scina. It is close to Hero's hill (the perfect name for the place that will have our battle vs Karn.) and is also quite close to Cheydinhall where the Sil attacked personally. The only problem is that it is at the outskirts of the mountains though, not in it.
Good, then let's settle for those two places. Unless someone disagrees in which case they should say it as soon as possible.
Hmm, the group could quite possibly blast their way through the Sil's ragtag army of goblins and Orcs though they'll be worn out at the end in that scenario. With Fervus and Arco going solo though, those two can do a lot of damage.
Maybe it is time for Fervus to meet the group again in a spectacular way. I can already see it.
,,And there's his army. We should be quiet." *massive fireballs tear through said army. A few daedra rush in.*
,,What in Oblivion? Fervey!"
Ok, Fervus is overpowered.
I should probably change that. Even for a nearly 600 years old Lich he's a bit extreme.
Well, to solve the problem of Karn and a horde of beast-folk vs. the group..... I'm considering soem reinforcements. In the form of Karn's fellow ninja (he was a part of a clan), who want to come out and play with the good guys.
I know that Fervey said that but he is infiltrating! If he can make the bad guys underestimate Serene, good news for him. And he's trying to play after the Lich stereotype.
I thought it was humans who liked to look young. At least according to "The Real Berahziah" (curse the fact I can't spell her name). Apparently elves lacked the a human's vanity, and don't go out of their ways to hide signs of age......... Or at least I've read that.
okay for those of you who are wondering why I havn't gotten on to rp, it is because on thursday after school I broken my right arm... It turned out that instead off having surgury Friday it ended up beinging an appointment to schedual the appointment. I just had surgury today at 12, 1 something... yeah i didn't have my watch
but yeah thats why I didn't fulfill my rpg promise. If you guys want a story as to how I broke my arm, pm me. I'll try to get to you asap.
can i play too?!?! please
Well, I'm not much of an authority around here, but there aren't any real restrictions. If you really want to, then read the past threads, and get a feel for the plot. Your character should be balanced (have strengths and weaknesses, not like a god).
This thread, as you may have guessed, is for planning and discussion, the character thread is where we post our characters. And the playgrounds are where we actually Role-play....... Oh, and some of us have to deal with different time-zones, so aside from that just read the guild-lines in the character thread and everything should be fine.
PS: if I left anything out guys, then just fill in the places I missed. By the way, welcome to Chorrol, Cradle of Filth.
I just wanted to add that the balancing is a real issue here. So if you make your character pure human, you're likely to get nothing but trouble unfortunately. I guess we simply have too many demigods around.
Anyone for making Fervus return to the grave? We need to get rid of some firepower and the Lich sounds like a good choice. Destruction, Conjuration, Healing, an awesome staff. He's probably right up there with the likes of Serene when it comes down to power. So, shall we banish the undead?
Hmm ok...now what will Karn do with his prisoner? Satyana is still alive..but not for too long maybe, if not someone does something....
Then how about this? Fervus goes help Sathyana, getting her cured from the poison. (He is a nearly 600 year old healer and Necromancer, he's bound to know a few things about poisons. Not too sure about this one though)
He then gets her out of there (ranged Mark + recall on touch.) Then, Karn and his brothers attack him. Fervus manages to blow up part of Hero's hill and a couple of unfortunate minions with his staff (Creating a neato signal for the good guys saying: ,,We're here!") Then, he dies.
That sounds good, Karn and his three brothers would be happy to oblige with rekilling the undead....... I know that "rekilling" is not an actual word, but it sounds great in this context.
Then that would be the third time he dies! (First time when he became a Lich, second time he was banished by Death but he had a reanimation spell going.)
About the poison, maybe Fervus should only manage to slow it down. Then the rest have a subplot available called: ,,Cure Sathyana before she drops."
Edit: Forgot to say the word. Deal.
Sounds good to me...btw she´s getting weaker!
Alright, so Karn is currently lurking around the cave, while his brothers are assuming duties around the camp........ while keeping Fervus in periphical vision at all times. Karn should probably witness Fervus' actions, but just watch from a shadowy corner or something.
Then he and his brothers go berzerk when he spirits Satyana away....... That lich was such a likable character....... when you got to know him.
Yeah, but he never had any real social contacts. Ah well, wouldn't it be neat if Sathyana is awake and gets a glimpse of her savior? He is not hiding his face anymore. Perhaps then with his death he'll finally be able to prove the existence of noble undead.
Second edit: It's bedtime for me so please don't go too far with the situation. I should be back tomorrow at 4 pm central time. Busy schoolday tomorrow. Well, have fun.
So how close is the group to the Hero Hill? And is Satyana supposed to show up in their midst, or what? Ian's scouting out the border, but he will meet up with the group before they get too far west.
PS: because my post was an edit, it doesn't show up as a new post, so it's there. It just doesn't look like it is unless you go to the playground.
I think that Sathyana should show up in a clearing, away from the army but perhaps close to the group. I'm sure that Serene will be able to 'track' her granddaughter through telepathy, especially if Sathyana is broadcasting for help herself.
Haha....yup Satyana is a radio-transmitter, she will broadcast a program for her granny to receive jk!!
No but she´ll turn up.....if she can move!
Well, she is poisoned but she's also received a major load of Healing Magicka so those two should cancel each other out for the moment. I'd say her biggest problem is her disorientation and a painful bruise in the side. Sorry about that, but Fervus was in a bit of a hurry. With four assassins aiming for him, being gentle would take too long.
Nope, he just sent her to his mark. (Mark on target spell, way better than putting it on yourself.)
I'd say she is at the end of the river, near Swampy cave. Did you download Fuzzy's map? Look for Hero Hill and then move slightly to the south-west. There she is.
Hey guys I haven't dropped out of the RP so don't worry.. But I did have to take a week or so due to exams and what not.. So I should be back posting here in a little bit. I think I'll seperate Jonathan from the group for a bit and develop his character a little more too.
k i just went ahead and edited my last post with the post of a hunter finding satyana
Ok, so Flint and Flogir are both going to Hero Hill, Serene and Issac are going to look for Satyana....... now where in the world is everyone else?
... finally...
Well, after a long break from this, (and a while reading everything...)
was wondering if I'm still welcome around here?
Sure, come on in.
Umm, so is there anyone else who wants to come to Hero hill? If not, Flogir and Flint will get moving. (Tomorrow. Sorry, but it is too late for me to do a lot of rp-ing.)
And now, where do a band of twenty some-odd Merc's fall in?
Defending the Black Marsh, prehaps? Or hired to help take it?
(And yes, despite the fact that I will be developing personalities, and back stories for a few, if not all, of them, they ARE secondary (or tertiary) characters, and can be picked off whenever.)
I dont think defending the black marsh would work, they will arrive in cyrodiil before his band gets there from Morrowind.
gah... i still wanna b in this rp, so can anyone spare me some info about whats going on?
The group is splitting up, one part going to check out the Valus mountains, and the other searching for Satyana. Fervus went out with a bang....... well, more of a show a pyrotechnics. Karn and Veric are talking outside the cavern on the remains of Hero Hill (not Hero's Hill).
Before Fervus died, he sent Satyana somewhere around Swampy Cave (southwest of Hero Hill). There a sixteen-year-old hunter kid who found her...... and they been sitting there for awhile. Ian is pretty close, accidently revealed himself (if Satyana detected his thoughts). The Sil is in Cheydinhal, an unknown army has landed on the coast of Blackmarsh..........
I believe that was mostly everything; I want things to get rolling again!
Yup, me too! even if I may be posting just once per day, I still want it to be going. I wonder if maybe Danny will come back soon, the sidetrack with Rahvin and Brianna is stuck....
So Satyana will sense Ian? Ok, doesn´t he mind then? Some ppl get very angry if their minds are read!
He couldn't help it, he's still grappling with vampirism (I wish I knew the really complicated word for it). At the worst he'd be annoyed that he is making mistakes like this now. He like to mantain a standard of efficiancy. Ian will still be glad that it wasn't some homicidal maniac that detects him.
Edit: where is the group in relation to Swampy Cave and Hero Hill? Are they south, southwest, or just west?
Huzzah! I caught up! took long enough. I'm assuming it would be okay for Sodsa to run into Flint and Flogir? I think his skills would work better in their job, plus they are going east and Sodsa's heading west to them. (at least, i'm pretty sure that's where they're going)
could someone tell me what exactly my characters are in the middle of right now?
I'd be fine with Sodsa catching up with us, hopefully Flogir won't take his head off when he appears though. ![]()
As for your characters, Dantrag. Right now, you could have Rann either catch up with Flogir, Flint, and Sodsa and investigate Hero Hill, or you can join Serene, Ian, and the others and look for Satyana.
As for Rahvin, I guess he's beginning his search of Amrita.
was cheydinhal one of the towns that was sacked by the sil/karn's little escapades?
Yes, along with Leyawiin it is one of the cities that has fallen to the Silhouete.
well..... can i make contact with anybody in the rp? im outa ideas entering the rp.... pluss i keep missing serene everytime it try... pm me with something....
dan, i dont quite get your post. does rahvin want to pass through skyrim before cheydinhal or before morrowind?
morrowind.
k so then head to cheydinhal to get horses, cept its been razed then? cause i was gonna arrive there in my next post with sadril.
yeah, the city is sacked.
i was diggin around in the older rp's earlier today. its amazing how ungodly slow this rp moves when compared to AMU. unless some glitch occured (because this blew me away) the rp, which lasted through 39 threads took place only over the course of the three months of summer break. may, june, july and ending early august. where as you look at THiH, both 1 and 2 have taken place over about the same amount of time yet account for less than half the threads of AMU.
anyway just sharing my findings. we had more players back then too. red, wolfie, bobv, stomach ache, doomedone, megil, gamer, mergirl. though we have gained some new ones, not as many as we have lost. i miss the old days.
Also keep in mind that was in SUMMER not just after winter break when most of us students are bored stiff of exams and schoolwork.....
Well, one should consider the fact that AMU happened over the summer, and quite often people have more spare time over the summer (well, the younger people at least). While I know that the first THiH must've taken place over some of the summer, the fact that there are less rpers probably slows down the RP, and since the second part has only taken place during the fall and winter, people generally have less free time to get on here.
At least, that's my opinion. I sure wished I joined this site back near the beginning to get in on some of this other RP action we had going on here.
I hope that in some future (as in awhile after THIH) I can include Revan and some other characters from the great beyond........ and maybe burst the bubbles of those people who think the heavens are the ends of existence.
indeed it took place over the summer, though the pace has never seemed to have been able to catch up with it yet. those people i named off are not only not part of the rp's anymore but no longer visit the forum to my knowledge; so perhaps the hype of oblivion wearing off has some part to do with it, perhaps luck of the draw as well.
So when are Serene, Rann, and Issac going to find Ian, Soldin, and Satyana? Ian would probably hang back until all the reunion and introductions are made before he reveals himself.
Also, the Sage is making her own way with a group of battle mages, so she'll show up as the group get the ball rolling.
karn said something about 'both liquids' does he want the antidote and the poison or what?
i got lost
He want the antidote, lots of it.
The poison has probably taken root by now, but a single dose of the antidote has delayed its affect...... the only question is: for how long?
Sorry for double post, but if you reread playground 5 was it? The Arcane University was already evacuated (with the rest of the Imperial City).
Good mornooninght, people. Before you ask me 'Who is this ugly person and what's he doing on this forum?' let me introduce myself. Way back, around the time before there was a released Oblivion, I posted on this forums under the uninspired nickname of BobV. I even participated in the very first RP; my credentials include playing a mixed-blood character before it was the cool thing to do and making you all look like better RPers because of the relative ineptitude I then possesed. Ye more experienced may hear the bells ringing by now. Well, I left here one day due to being a tad too busy with school resuming and all (something I would've warned you of if I'd'a knewed it in advance) and not being muchly interested with Oblivion, I stayed away for a long period. Recently though I got back into Morrowind and found my way back onto this forum. And so I registered myself under the uninspired nickname of lord_wanhoop and wrote this post. And now I close with a question: knowing now in some brevity who I am, or maybe not knowing me at all, would you welcome it if I yet again joined the role-playinge scene on the side of (initially) ye evil 'wans?
I have read up, actually. There is little as frustrating as being forced to read it before being able to join in, because something about it makes one want to join in right at the moment.
So, is there anything I need to know about any drastic changes to the world that didn't happen within ye RP?
My character isn't...dark! Just a bastage who's so selfish and opportunistic he's farther up the Evil Scale than a few people who're just evil.
But he could turn on the evils.
For the right reward.
Not that Team Good needs it, with all the heroes them already have.
I'll be going to go be posting him now.
Also, hi Shogun! I remember you.
Awesome another person who might backstab the other evil guys. (the other one would be my evil character).
there wouldnt happen to be a name to this poison would there?
Not as of yet, if you want you could try to come up with something inventive. Nut as long as it's found it doesn't matter, Shogun.
Hmm. Would any of those who're traipsing around the Evil Base mind coming across me within the near unforseenable future?
I'm bored.
That vampire might eventually be her father-in-law
Talking about him that way makes it sound liek he isn't sane!
because of the time i missed here, I don't really know where Rann, Issac, and Serene should even look for Satyana, so it would be nice if one of you guys (minque or Revan) would initiate movement so I don't screw anything up.
Well, it would make sense for them to find Satyana and Soldin at their "camp."
is the noise in the wilderness Ian and his deer?
EDIT: I just read a few previous posts, and I have to say...
WELCOME BACK BOBV!
My internet is working again!
Yes, the noise is Ian and he's not hot on a reunion just yet either. He'd probably lead them (without revealing himself) to the camp.
So umm, what's happening with the Silhouette? Will he find out that one of his ships was sunk? What will he attack first with his new army?
Just want to let you know guys, I´m going to Estonia tomorrow and won´t be back until friday 16th. I have no idea if I can get online over there!
But drag Satyana and Serene along will you? Oh and Bre as well, she´ll do exactly as Rahvin tells her so she´s no problem...I´ll stay online for a while tonight but after that.....
Should the sage first reveal herself to Veric and Voltar (due to their obvious importance), or the heroes (for some sympathetic motivations)? Either is fine in my opinion.
PS: It seems no one refreshes very often, if you don't refresh then you can't see a new post (at least that's how it is for me, but then I just refresh every few minutes). Just a friendly suggestion.
Well, Karn is tied up will the heroes right now. I have school in a few minutes so I'll be back this afternoon.
Hey, welcome back BobV, hope you have a good time.... again. ![]()
but yeah, sorry for my little offness, i dunno why it happened, it just kind of did. I'll read up on everything tomorrow because i'm in a bleh mood for some reason... but yeah, i'll try and get back into the groove as soon as possible..
bit slow the past few days..
Yeah, Ian and Issac aren't likely to get going on their own for awhile. Dantrag has yet to update Rann, the Sage can meet Veric, but is there any premise you'd like her to approach him under? And Karn is still a little shy about a melee with Dalrus and Sodsa........
premise? whatever you think is best... i dont know the character very well but feel free to approach however you see fit. veric and voltar are just kinda milling about...
i might be on for a few minutes if you would go ahead and make a post i could get a reply in.
I'll try and post before school, but I'll think about a premise....... maybe she's just scouting around the place and notices a couple of powerful mages. *shrugs*
I was thinking...about Rahvin and Bree and the dear vamp.....Why not let them run into some reeeeally nasty weather or even something else quite treeible? Should make things a bit more exciting for them.....
what like a complete "white-out" blizzard? I've just rented a game called "Lost Planet." It's set on an ice world, and you have to find thermal energy (collected from your fallen enemies) to keep yourself from freezing to death.
I think that is a very practical explanation for the aliens you have to fight..... and the other humans as well.
Yeah...something like that! So they really have to use all their abilities and skills just to stay alive!
You call it thermal energy, I call it ripping out their hot entrails and wrapping yourself in them.
Brrr..yup, let them wrap themselves in whatever.....still I kinda like severe weather-situations....
it adds something I think...
Hahaha, lord. You've been watching The Empire Strikes Back, haven't you?
Be even more interesting if, should Merethicus and Root continue along the 'let's-get-the-b'vek-out-of-here' line of thinking, they emerge from the caverns in the same area. Or not?
And yes I have. The middle one is always the best in any trilogy.
So you mean thay should pop up where Bree and her pack dwells? Oh aye..you´re most welcome!
No, MM, I'm talking about a video game I just rented. Lost Planet is a CapCom game for the X-box 360. You play as a soldier who was left to die on the planet E.D...... (something) III. You're rescued by a small band of snow pirates, and you have no memory beside the "Green Eye" the Akrid that killed your father.
The Akrid are a species of insectoid creatures native to the planet that have been hostile with the colonization since they were first discovered. Akrid rely on thermal energy (let's just say a huge amount) to survive when they leave their hives.
Humans also rely on thermal energy for the same reasons they wear heat generators power by the thermal energy. Anything that is outside without thermal energy is going toi freeze over in minutes (not actually sure how long it takes).
There's multiple lords out here, Revan.
Ah, I just looked at the last few posts anbd realized that. But in this case thermal energy is used to power vehicles....... you can't do that with tuantuan entrails
Hmm, the battle is paused till Karn gets updated. I hope the fight gets finished soon. The sooner Flint gets back to our resident healer, the sooner he can get his broken arm fixed.
I also hope that the rp moves forward a few days. At least long enough for Semir to get to Cyrodiil with his band of treasure hunters.
About Green-Root and Merethicus, I hope they'll leave after their conversation and the Argonian's meal.
About Thermal energy and Lost Planet, I've heard about the game and saw a trailer. Looks nice and all (giant robots always manage to get my approval.) but there's one storyline flaw I would like to get cleared up. If you need to kill big bugs because they're the only ones that can harvest this hot item (pun intended) which you need to prevent freezing, then why did you come to the damn planet in the first place? It doesn't make sense to me. You managed to cross lightyears once, then do it again and go to a tropical paradise.
Okay, Jacky, allow me to explain. Humans abandoned Earth eighty years before the colonization of the planet. At first the colonization seemed like a success, but then we encountered teh Akrid. The Akrid are a species of insectoid lifeforms, that were immediately identified as hostile threats.
The Akrid's viscous attacks were too much for the colonists and the military....... as the world was evacuated, we discovered that all species of Akrid stored thermal energy (which was a power energy source). With this discovery, we had a reason to fight the Akrid...... but still lacked powerful enough weapons to do so.
Thus the VS (Vital Suit) was created, they are the "giant robots." With the VS to combat the larger species of Akrid colonization resumed........ that was 25 years ago. Now as a young soldier, Wayne, you must fight other snow pirates and Akrid.
This all begins with a battle inside a giant dome, you and your father are among the VS pilots accompanying the normal footsoldiers...... but no plan survives contact with the enemy. You encounter a green eye, a collosal Akrid that is feared by all humanity.
In the insueing fighting, Gale, Wayne's father dies protecting him. A group of snow pirates find Wayne, frozen in his VS. Wayne is plagued by amnesia, only remembering how to pilota VS, use firearms, and the green eye that killed his father.
That pretty much sums it up; most of humanity no longer lives on the planet, only snow pirates (the people who didn't make it of in the evacuation). That enough?
well if this isn't off topic...
anyway, bad weather... where exactly? white out condition would only happen farther north into skyrim i imagine... which i believe it was thought of that bri, rah and sad (lol) would go north to get around the mountains or something....
whatever, im up for it.
so let's say Bree knows this secret passage through the mountains in Skyrim. (think moria rip-off, but colder)
Then they go there and....
yeah.
craploads of snow? nothing for sadril to feed on? brianna falling victim to hypothermia?
yeah whatever happens.
Sounds good.
And what ever happened to the idea of Rann blindly helping Veric? We should probably resume that route a little later.
i've been meaning to watch those movies again... as such i have no idea what this moria-thingy is.
but by all means go for it
I´ll soon post in the line with Bree and her companions, just have to revive the Moria-issue, with the help of my son....just a minute!
The snowfilled mountain path wasn't Moria. Moria was that Dwarven city (conveniently being huge despite never having that much of a population) under the mountains. It was filled with Orcs and a Balrog. Actually, I don't know why they turned around and headed into Moria. I remember something about the mountains themselves opposing them. Ah well, have fun in the snow.
Ooh, I know! In the movies, Saruman called down snow and assorted byproducts to block the mountain passes and generally cause hypothermia. So they decided to go through the mines of Moria which Gimli knew were nearby and thought were still being run by Balin, despite the latter having not sent any christmas cards for the last fifty years or so.
minky, lycanthropy is werewolfism i believe. we (revan and i) can't seem to figure out the scientifc term for vampirism.
I believe it was porphyric homilia or something. I'll check the Uesp, please wait.............*traditional waiting music plays*.............*followed by some hardcore rock*..............Thank you for waiting.
The answer is: Porphyric Hemophilia, so I was quite close. However, the Uesp says that it is the name of the spell effect that gives you the initial stages of vampirism rather than vampirism itself. In other words, this puts you on the waiting list before you truly become a vampire which means it is that disease you can cure within three days after catching it. Still, I suppose it's better than nothing.
My heart feels whole once again.
Hi, long time no see. Been over a (real-life) year since AMU ended, together with me. Well, I guess I'll join the fray.
You may hit me for this, but who'd you played again?
A fella named Rycarin Windwalker, and a little bloke named Caldius Irithius.
T'was in 2005, I don't blame you.
EDIT: What's the status of Bruma, if anyone don't mind me asking?
Bruma has currently gotten rid of the reavers that were plaguing them. Unfortunately Florodine hasn't been on too much lately to futher what's been going on there. So by all means, go ahead and do what you wish to do in Bruma.
by god it worked! i cast a summon old roleplayers spell to get the ball rolling again and look who shows up!
bobv returns as lord_wanhoop, ryuku returns and doomedone was on about a day ago
im so happy.
I've missed you too. :sob:
Surprised that someone still remembers me, considering the short time I spent here, and how long it has been.
Well, time to get some RP done... (later, after school..)
i remember you, just not your characters
The joy. ![]()
Well, am writing in the playground as we speak.
I wonder when Florrodine and Soulseeker get back on. Flint and Flogir are looking for Dalrus and Sodsa so they can get out of there. At the same time, Karn is following though I doubt he'll attack again before finding Serene and the gang.
We might be forced to simiply drag them with us, should they not get back in the near future. Ah, real life, how it always puts a chink in these sorts of things!
Hopefully with Tellie back, Amrita can actually do more than sit in a chair in a Chorrol tavern for....... a month? Two?
Well, I figure she's supposed to be in Morrowind now somewhere. Since Brianna and company are travelling there to look for her. She must've relocated "mysteriously"
I'm just wondering... Is anyone heading for Bruma?
Well, Florodine has a character in Bruma, but lately Florodine hasn't been on. At the moment, I don't think any of our characters will be heading to Bruma anytime soon. Most of busy around Cheydinhal at the moment.
since when has tellie been back? she gets on occasionally but hasn't returned to the rp... i've been thinking of pming her and telling her we need her...
or somebody should at least....
since she updated her fan-fic, yeah somebody should PM her.
I didn't want to double post for the sake of answering Shogun, so I'll just edit here. Let me rephrase the question: "What kind of "man-beast" do vampires hate most and vice versa?"
Werewolves, though I don't really understand why. Different feeding habits (tasty neck vs whatever animal happens to be in the dog's path)
Different living habits. (I don't see a werewolf sit in a comfortable chair and reading a few books on Necromancy or whatever.)
In short, they're not rivals unless there's some sort of pride issue involved. There are exceptions to the rule of course. A Werewolf with exceptional strenght of will might be able to control himself enough and he might go live in an abandoned castle, raising cattle for his needs and reading books on Necromancy. You're average weakminded one though, absolutely not.
well, I haven't ever seen a movie with werewolves and vampire tearing at each other's throats (Underworld: Revolutions or something like that). But both monsters like to target normal humans as easy prey, werewolves are mostly animalistic and maybe hating vampires is an instinct......
Anyway, how does everyone feel about a small pack of werewolves comming after them?
Oh boy....that would be......ehh..scary, but Serene always can use vomica cruor I reckon....
Blegh. Well, I posted my bit. (Yes, my posts are short, but I'm just not as verbose.) My first week off school in the new year and I spend three days sick. And I need to have a book review finished for Wednesday... and I think I may be turning emo.
To keep the rp moving, I'm going to use some elderly authority and drag Dalrus and Sodsa around. They haven't had a new post in days.
cheer up emo kid. thats not the way to go.
Yeah, Shogun's been down that way before...... then we here at Chorrol dragged him back to the true path of happiness.
He owns us, lol!
yes.. i OWN YOU ALL! *evil laughter*
on a more serious note... we need to figure out where the rp is headed as we seem to be getting caught up in the flow again. whatever that means...
sadril, rahvin and brianna are headed to morrowind. there someone will take control of amrita and we'll see what happens. we should see if tellie will come back...
veric and voltar plan to somehow use the inevitable death of the silhouette to further veric's name and somehow by an act of god get him elected to emperor or something along those lines... (once we hit that point i have plans of my own
which i will of course share before putting them into action)
so right now the slihouette needs dealing with. thing is florodine isn't on that often and we need a plan for a battle to happen. thats what the rp needs imo. a nice big skirmish
so yeah... where's florodine?
Darn it! I can't believe I said own istead of owe....... I feel absolutely stupid right now. Anyway, Agents will take part as well, secretly conspiring against Veric's regime (when it comes). Maybe the Vampire clans will get involved with the power-struggle (fighting against the Silhouete and the invading Akaviri, then....... we'll see).
I imagine they like sucking blood from weak humans as opposed to scalely snake-men. And this is their turf!
200, time for the http://chorrol.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3666.
