Intro

Small guilds. It takes many, many years if ever they are to be known on Tamriel. One, of these few, would perhaps, get a topic or two in the courier. Maybe even get up to the size of the fighters guild. That’s unlikely. Guilds can seem small, but when you think about it, they are greater than what you could have ever imagined. There’s about five or ten members in one guild house, and one guild house in each city. There are more than sixty members in one country. That’s six hundred guild members in Tamriel.

It was built into the side of a small mountain in Morrowind, just on the shore of the big “O” of water around Vvardenfel. It was built with dwemer metal and bronze. This came to the name The Bronze Guild.

Archers, knights, wizards, all are accepted into this guild. One would become an initiate by simply finding the place, or being chosen, if by chance seen doing something the guild approves of highly. Once an initiate, he or she would have to train for three months until they are full-fledged members, and gain entrance to a small area.

It was all training equipment. Nothing else. No way to describe the plain, dirty and loud room. Blood on punch bags from over-practicing the fists. Doesn’t even look like anything was ever replaced. It was like most training grounds.

One’s initiation is approved by the chairman, Mayuhns Sayn, a strange dark elf with an odd personality. The whole reason this guild was formed was so he could somehow end this other guild. This other guild, that he had a strong hate for, was big. It was monstrously big, compared to his. Though it’s size is great, it isn’t known. It isn’t existent to the people of Tamriel. Only Mayuhns Sayn, and his close friend, an imperial. Hanadam Hitius.

Would this soon be leaked out to the other guild members of The Bronze Guild?

“I’d like to be left alone for the night. I have a lot on my mind.”

Hitius nodded. He was somewhat depressed.

“Goodnight, then.”

“Goodbye.”

This confused him. As Hitius sat at his desk, he wondered what he could of possibly meant by “Goodbye.” This made him feel no better. Mayuhns didn’t feel too grand either. He sighed as he looked up to a dark corner on the ceiling. A light reflected off his gold goblet. It was quick, a sliver arrow in his chest. Mayuhns made almost no sound. His killer jumped down and left the room. She quickly climbed down the cliff, and ran off on the water after casting a spell.

The next day…

Hitius set up a meeting with all members of The Bronze Guild. It was a small room with about thirty chairs. It was mid section with multiple doors that led elsewhere. They were all to meet him at around eleven in the morning. He would come in around that time.

He would soon reveal the secret that was kept. As well as a long quest they would have to take with him.

Plot

It starts out with seven or nine characters. First there’s a meeting with Hitius where he explains to us what’s happened to Mayuhns and his secret, saying that this one guild is called Red Altar Worshippers, and a ritual will take place in which their head leader, name unknown, would become immortal, and almost half of Morrowind could be either destroyed or under the power of him. He also tells us that we cannot let anyone know of this. If word were to get to them that they would be attacked, the ritual would start sooner (We have four days to defeat them). Then changes the name of the guild to Keepers of the Secret. After that, we get ready and leave.

(More to be decided)

Uh, we're in the middle of another RP atm. From what I've seen, usually two RPs at a time don't normally work out. Sorry GNA.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 27 2007, 04:58 AM

Damnit.

Posted by: Dantrag May 27 2007, 05:24 AM

Man, I always feel like a jerk when we say two RPs won't work and automatically dismiss so many good ideas. We worked two RPs before, I think, and this one looks kinda cool...

I'd give it a try.

EDIT: also, feel free to join the current one, if you want.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 27 2007, 05:31 AM

Really? I'm not sure. It's so far into the RP that I don't think I would be able to get in somehow.

Posted by: Dantrag May 27 2007, 05:32 AM

we definately need more people, and a lot of our current members came in pretty late. You'll be fine.

Posted by: Lord Revan May 27 2007, 06:35 AM

Tell me about; you have no idea how long I was hovering about waiting for Cerpin's reply. rolleyes.gif

Posted by: jack cloudy May 27 2007, 11:52 AM

Heh, I'm in. I don't think I have any ideas for characters that I could work into THIH, unless there was another timewarp.

So meet the Orcish knight, Gro-Bolg Madrukh.
*dodges a big green fist.*
,,You shall adress me as SIR Madrukh! And it is Orsimer, not Orc!"

Posted by: ShogunSniper May 27 2007, 11:31 PM

indeed. two rps dont usually last long 'round here. i'll pass until this starts to show a little promise, then i shall contribute.

Posted by: DungeonHunter May 29 2007, 03:46 AM

wow give it a chance people...its worked many times. we only need a handful of people anyway..

Posted by: ShogunSniper May 29 2007, 03:50 AM

QUOTE(DungeonHunter @ May 28 2007, 10:46 PM) *

has it? almost a single thread of "A Forgotten Khajiit".

no one's stopping you from trying. simply pointing out a point is all. incorporating new people to an already started RP is not that hard really, but do as you wish.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 29 2007, 03:59 AM

"A Forgotten Khajiit" was a complete flop. Back then I was new to Roleplaying and was horrible at stories, plots and ideas which is the reason almost no one joined.

This is new, and better. I plan on making this one work. I'm also getting a headstart on the plot before actually beginning the roleplay.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet May 29 2007, 04:03 AM

I hope you plan to keep it fairly free form though. Probably the main reason why our main RPs last so long (for better or for worse) is because our plot is very loose and fairly easy to adapt. Sure, we do have main goals to accomplish, but we seem to definitely take our time to get to it.

Heck, we're all ready at our 11th Playground and the main conflict hasn't even arisen yet! tongue.gif

Posted by: ShogunSniper May 29 2007, 04:06 AM

21st if you count the first part of the rp... indifferent.gif

but yeah if you plan on heading an rp, perhaps you should only stick to one.. up to you though.

i might make a character for this one later. the plot seems entertaining.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 30 2007, 04:27 AM

I also have a map showing starting location for us. After that you can go anywhere with any plan you have to defeat each other. I'm planning on having either side win.

Posted by: ShogunSniper May 30 2007, 04:29 AM

well if we're going to do it that free form... well no one is going to want their character to die... so, we might just need to agree as a whole to not allow our characters be immortal...

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 30 2007, 04:32 AM

Yeah, eventualy someone will die. It can't be "U MISSED LOL" all the time, so none of that.

Posted by: DungeonHunter May 30 2007, 04:33 AM

im so very confused.

QUOTE(DungeonHunter @ May 29 2007, 11:33 PM) *

im so very confused.

since the story is going to unfold unplanned, either side can win, this means you have to be fair with your character and you may actually ahve to allow them to die at some point.

Posted by: DungeonHunter May 30 2007, 04:39 AM

raggard wolfbite fears not death.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 30 2007, 04:45 AM

Only thing planned is there will be some big battles and if the Red Altar wins, we skip some months, the members of the Bronze Guild either dead, cowaring in hiding or manipulated on the enemies side. All of Morrowind is under their control, and most of it's people fighting the other countries, slowly taking over Tamriel. If the Bronze Huild wins, all of the guild is dead, and no one knows anything about it. All they know is that there was some big unkown war. Theres also more guild houses in the country.

Posted by: GunsnArmor May 30 2007, 05:05 AM

I will start the RP tommorow, because theres more to explain but I'm too tired.

Posted by: ShogunSniper May 31 2007, 05:21 PM

on the map, the color closest resembling red 'worshipers of the red altar'... what are those? like minibases?

Posted by: minque May 31 2007, 07:08 PM

So I just added one kind of a woman! I hope she will fit in! blink.gif

Pretty much, yes. The main base is the actual guild house, which is dug in from the bottom of a mountain. The one in the middle of the western mountains is a large camp, no actual buildings besides tents and the such. The third, north, by the bay is a small military base, one being a weapons shed, another being a barracks, a couple of tents and in the middle a small manor; it appears bigger than the guild house from the outside, but size does not compare.

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 1 2007, 04:10 AM

haha yeah it was only two or three, dan.

btw i totally accidentally made reggard look really dumb lol

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 1 2007, 04:12 AM

that happens alot with my characters.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 1 2007, 04:15 AM

It's wasn't as much that Reggard was being dumb as it was Ahn being racist; he hates nords.

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 1 2007, 04:23 AM

ah yes, but still.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 1 2007, 06:08 AM

I perfer OCC: Out (of) Character Comment. Anyway, THIH II can go for twelve hours (has on several occassions) without new posts so it's not that remarkable for an hour's absence on part of everyone. *Is secretly smug in the fact that he has more grammatically correct post than most than most*

sneaky revan. that escaped my eyes the first time i read it.

Crap, I don't make a small mistake like that too often. Normally I catch myself..... Oh well, life goes on regardless. *I suppose this trick only works on people with the space ship wreck skin selected rather than the boring tower*

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 2 2007, 03:34 AM

are phiona and the army right outside the bronze guild?

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 2 2007, 03:49 AM

They are in the same mountain range, but not in the immediate vicinity. Phiona was the assassin who slew the leader of the Bronze Guild. Therefore, she is to provide the army with the whereabouts of the Guildhall. Look at the map, there is a small army of the Red Altar near the KOTS Guildhall.

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 2 2007, 03:55 AM

yeah.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 2 2007, 05:53 AM

Interesting idea here:

the Red Altar gets the location of the Bronze Guildhall, and sends the army after it. The KOTS loses the battle and scatters throughout the countryside in small camps, but the Red Altar thinks that they are eradicated...

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 2 2007, 06:13 AM

CURSE YOU, FLOOD CONTROL!!!

Anyway, Phi and Dagon will be in Mournhold for awhile. Then Phi will probably go back into the wilderness, but play the part of an innocent Bosmeri scout who has an.... erm, weakness for certain mer (not particularly men).

Dagon will keep storytelling or lounging around Mournhold until someone stumbles onto him.

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 2 2007, 06:46 AM

Does it sometimes take three days for someone to post? Not to sounds impatient, but it's been a long time, and the RP cannot move on unless we figure something out.

I am usualy willing to wait longer if I knew what the reason was that someone isn't logging on for a while. But I have no information on the whereabouts of minque, so it's hard. Should I wait a little longer, or should we make it so she comes in late and we tell her/ she comes in latter after we are scattered from the loss of the battle with the Red Altar?

By the way, did you make a freakishly long post in the playground and due to flood control you lost all of it?

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 2 2007, 06:49 AM

you can usually hit back on the browser and you don't lose your message...

But anyway, you can go ahead without minque. For one, her character's allegiance was never established, and if she turns out to be part of the kots, then one of our characters can fill her in.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 2 2007, 06:51 AM

No I didn't lose a post, I just got very annoyed that I can't just jump from one thread to the other at lightning speed and start posting again.....

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 2 2007, 07:19 AM

Alright then. Tommorow Hitius will break the news.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 2 2007, 07:43 PM

I see no reason why Reggard can't. Just a friendly tip, capitalize and bold-face the name of your character; it helps if you write for multiple characters in one post.

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 2 2007, 07:46 PM

cool, then unless i hear otherwise, ill make it happen. i just need hitius to say so....

and yeah ill remember to

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 2 2007, 08:05 PM

also... let's let everyone in the bronze guild have time to react before the attack happens, or as gunsnarmor would say:

GunsnArmor says:
"Okay, let's go out there and fight!"

"But I haven't even reacted to the news hes dead yet-"

"That's your problem."

Will someone drag Lexie along while I´m away? Danny? You normally have a good interpretation of my charachters! tongue.gif

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 3 2007, 10:19 PM

Hey, when does this all take place?

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 3 2007, 11:40 PM

E 358

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 4 2007, 02:06 AM

Before Oblivion or after Oblivion (how far?)

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 4 2007, 04:07 AM

Wait...was Oblivion 433 or 344? Becuase it's supposed to be about 14-15 years after it.

Anyways, I was thinking that maybe Hitius is interupted by Reggard when Reggard sees the Red Altar army approaching, perhaps? After we're scattered all over Morrowind (after the battle we could skip one or two days) and we are regrouped, he tells us, and also renames the guild The Keepers of the Secret.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 4 2007, 08:40 PM

just some random questions :

why are all the characters panicking? And how does Lexie not count? She was included...

Posted by: jack cloudy Jun 4 2007, 08:45 PM

Who is panicking? I don't see any panic. And yeah, Lexie was included for as far as I knew. Hitius said five as in 'the five of you here'. That would be Jo'Puma, Ahn, Lexie, Madrukh and....Reggard I guess. Did I miss anyone? I don't think Hitius included himself when he mentioned five.

Posted by: minque Jun 4 2007, 09:47 PM

Hmm..my bad, I thought he ment five men....anyway, she doesn't panic ....

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 4 2007, 09:52 PM

He isn't includiong himself when he says five....and he meant everyone in the room, including Reggard, who I forgot was not in the room. I'll edit it.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 4 2007, 09:54 PM

don't worry about editing now; we've already gotten past it. Then the next few posts won't make sense.

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 4 2007, 10:31 PM

Ok. I'm working on a picture to show what the traditional Red Altar armor looks like.

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 4 2007, 11:28 PM

the ball's pretty much in my court as far as if the guild members escape or not, any suggestions?

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 4 2007, 11:29 PM

btw: id be panicking if my guildmaster was mysteriously assasinated

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 8 2007, 04:20 PM

i think we should start this attack soon...

Posted by: DungeonHunter Jun 8 2007, 08:50 PM

it's jack's call

Posted by: jack cloudy Jun 8 2007, 08:55 PM

Ok, I'll accelerate forward and have all three parts of the army gather at the door. Or wait, the coast bit will be a bit behind due to the storm.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 10 2007, 05:11 PM

wheres gunsnarmor?

Posted by: jack cloudy Jun 10 2007, 08:00 PM

I dunno. He tends to leave for a while at times. I'd say we wait till tomorrow. If he isn't on then, we'll simply have to fight without Hitius.

Posted by: GunsnArmor Jun 12 2007, 09:51 PM

I'm not going to read the posts in the Playground because I don't have time. But I wanted to say that I have not been posting because I've been on vacation. And since this is the only chance I can get on the computer, I will not post again until the 15 or 16.

I'm a little disapointed you went on without me.

Posted by: Priest of Sithis Jun 14 2007, 02:58 PM

Is it alright for the Priest to join?

I have a few ideas, but i am really rather confused about the main idea of this rp.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 14 2007, 06:20 PM

Yes, the basic plot is a guild war. One guild (the Bronze Guild, AKA The Keepers of the Secret) was founded to combat a mysterious guild/cult called the Red Altar. The leader of the Red Altar desires imortality, and the KOTS are trying to stop that goal from being fulfilled.

Btw, where is this shack. Phiona might stumble upon it on her way to Mournhold.

Posted by: Priest of Sithis Jun 14 2007, 10:58 PM

a little inlet above the "o" in Morrowind

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 14 2007, 11:05 PM

Most of the locations are on mainland Morrowind, not Vvardenfell.

Posted by: Priest of Sithis Jun 15 2007, 01:25 PM

Is there any way for the KOTS to suddenly, shall we say, stumble upon Lucien, because if there isn't , i might have to write him a really crappy reason to leave his home.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 15 2007, 05:05 PM

The KOTS are currently in their guildhall trying to fight off the invaders. It is possible a member might dstumble on the shack, but that will be after the battle. Phiona is from the Red Altar, but she's leaving the guildhall of the KOTS to go to Mournhold.

Posted by: Dantrag Jun 15 2007, 05:10 PM

Ahn is going to Mournhold too...

would be funny to have them start travelling together, not knowing their on opposite sides.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jun 15 2007, 05:50 PM

Yeah, maybe that should happen. Phiona will probably take her time when traveling to the city.

Posted by: ShogunSniper Jun 19 2007, 09:20 PM

even though i only made one post i did have plans to participate in this rp... im dropping out for now though, i can barely post in THiH..

Posted by: jack cloudy Jun 21 2007, 04:49 PM

Umm, is anyone going to post so we can wrap up this battle?

Posted by: Lord Revan Jul 18 2007, 03:44 AM

So, shall Lucien have an encounter with our playfully treacherous Bosmer thief?

Posted by: Priest of Sithis Jul 18 2007, 02:14 PM

Why not?

Lucien will be around the town, shopping mostly

Posted by: jack cloudy Jul 18 2007, 02:57 PM

Ok, so Ahn and Lexie are escaping, Madrukh has jumped off a cliff (and landed in water, so he's not dead yet.)

But all the other guildmembers are frozen. Since I'm leaving saturday for three weeks, I'll let things continue. If however, I come back and the situation hasn't changed yet, Deryll will capture all the guildmembers still in the hall and put them in a cell, somewhere in Mournhold or another city probably. From there, any returning members can escape and whatnot. But, this is only a worst case scenario.

Posted by: Lord Revan Jul 19 2007, 03:09 AM

Despite (or maybe completely true to) what Dagon predicts, Phiona will probably extend this relationship with Lucien. Instead of just steal from him from the get-go (possible) *hint-hint*

Posted by: Priest of Sithis Jul 19 2007, 03:17 AM

Lucien is dirt poor

Posted by: Lord Revan Jul 19 2007, 03:33 AM

Could be one among many reasons for my previous comment......

Posted by: Tellie Sep 27 2007, 01:41 PM

I think this one looks promising...I'll join I think.

Most likely it'l be James that I'll join up, but I'll have to see.

Posted by: Agent Griff Sep 27 2007, 06:13 PM

What exactly is the current situation?

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 27 2007, 06:34 PM

For as far as I know. (my memory is kinda hazy, sorry.)

The Bronze guild has pretty much been destroyed. Only Lexie, Ahn and Gro-Bolg remain free. Lexie and Ahn are together while Gro-Bolg has been separated from everyone else after he jumped off a cliff and into the sea. Deryll Farfing is now sitting in the Bronze guild's office, celebrating victory while the captured guild members are being taken away by the army.

Then there are Phiona and Dagon who are in Mournhold (I think.) And finally there is Lucien, who is somewhere.

Posted by: Agent Griff Sep 27 2007, 07:19 PM

So, can your Orc for example "randomly" pluck an Imperial Battlemage on the road? I mean, my Imperial Battlemage could help your Orc right? He could give him a few healing potions to get him back on his feet and join him, or something like that. What about it?

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 27 2007, 07:38 PM

That would work. Gro-Bolg will be sitting in a ditch beside the road, trying to warm himself at a small fire.

Posted by: Tellie Sep 27 2007, 07:38 PM

Say, perhaps if that is the case, your orc cloudy after he have picked up the battlemage, pick up James...I imagine it could be quite funny that (after he have tried to rob you, which he will), that he ends up blowing up a stupid ogre or something, and the three decide to journey together...after all one never know when a shotgun or home made molotov cocktail can come in handy. biggrin.gif

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 27 2007, 07:43 PM

Lol, the noble knight wannabe, one Imperial Battlemage and a triggerhappy badmouthed gangster? That sounds like it could lead to some funny situations.

So, care to put your characters into the character thread? smile.gif

Posted by: Tellie Sep 27 2007, 07:50 PM

Doing it now...so I guess that James shall start heading towards the orc then eh...although the orc have to find it amusing to see a young man stand there with a stick with two holes in, demanding whatever he wants. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Agent Griff Sep 27 2007, 08:09 PM

I've already made Trebonius.

Posted by: minque Sep 27 2007, 08:16 PM

Well if Danny decides to continue this I´ll also do it...

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 28 2007, 07:36 PM

Alright. Griff suggested planning and I agree. Seeing as how the Plys'Iea will be fighting against three characters, we could use some planning to ensure proper coöperation between James, Dan and Flint.

So, Revan, Tellie, Griff. Any ideas on how to do it?

As for me, I see Dan rushing to meet the alien in melee while Flint does his best to support him with Telekinesis. (Like he did with Rann a while back, slowing the Plys'Iea's blow long enough for Rann to dodge.)
The only problem I see with this plan is James. All of his offense appears to be area effect here and so far, not very effective either. While the shotgun might prove to be a good distraction, I fear Dan would get ripped up by any stray pebbles.

Posted by: minque Sep 28 2007, 08:31 PM

My god....always fights! Don´t you guys ever get tired of the continous fighting that goes on in our RP:s??? kvright.gif

Posted by: Agent Griff Sep 28 2007, 08:51 PM

Well, we're guys after all. If we can't write about killing and fighting then we can't really feel like guys. You know the whole testosterone thing. Anyway, the only glitch I can see with your plan is that you posted it in the wrong planning thread. This is the thread for Secrets of the Red Altar, not To Heir is Human.

As for the actual plan I like it. It does seem to be typical of Dan to charge the enemy without any thought whatsoever to his own safety. I agree. Let's hear what Tellie says about it.

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 28 2007, 09:07 PM

Sorry. I'll copy and paste both yours and mine stuff to it.

And as for the fighting. Well I rarely start it, but I rarely seem to avoid it as well. Yup, let's blame good old Testosterone. But what about Tellie? She seems to be the aggressive sort and I thinks she's a woman.

Posted by: minque Sep 28 2007, 09:38 PM

I post in the right thread, Griffie! Or really it doesn´t matter, there are continous fights in both RP:s....for all that matters.

I understand the testosterone-thing, but still, wouldn´t you like to really play sometimes? Not just describing how much damage you do....?

Oh aye Tellie is female, but she´s become very aggressive after her return...don´t really know why... mellow.gif

I just wish there was more roleplay and less fighting! I don´t mean to exclude all fights...it´s just too much, that´s all!

Posted by: Tellie Sep 28 2007, 10:14 PM

hehe...the reason I've become more agressive, is propably due to the fact that I've been overworked and stressed the last months, and any form of agression, even in written form is always a bit soothing, beside, I've always been a bit of a tomboy in my life, and so, I guess the male attidute of violence have somewhat affected me.

But I agree with minque, we propably should tone down on the fighting a little bit soon, after all we need other thigns than fights too. smile.gif

And as for James, remember he have two very fancy daggers that he likes to use when things get close and personal...so if he can manage to go onto the Plys'ea from the side or rear he can at least do some damage hopefully...alternatively he can pick up a sword, but most likely he's going to end up badly wounded then...

Posted by: jack cloudy Sep 28 2007, 10:15 PM

Hmm, I see what you mean. The rps are simply too heavily biased towards combat here. I mean, just look at how we build the character thread. Do we describe our character's love of poetry or skill at flower arrangement? No, we describe weapons and other stuff like that.

I hope we get done with the siege in To Heir is Human pretty soon, it's beginning to get old. Part three sounds more interesting to me right now, what with the political intrige of a mind-controlling Altair and all. In the case of this rp here, I don't know what will happen. I do know I want Madrukh to continue his quest at becoming the perfect knight while Deryl will try to find Lexie and Ahn, in a more subtle way than simply swarming the countryside with grunts.

Ahhh....I thought you still had a female touch in you Tel! I´m so glad!

Oh but Jackie there´s no need for flower-arrangements, we can still describe our weaponry and armor...it is a violent world we are rp-ing in, so fighting is normal..but you who participated in AMU maybe remember that we had a lot of very good interactions between charachters as well as good fights and stuff....I think we still can achieve that....if we want to.. smile.gif

Of course we can...and I at least want's to, so let's just take it slow and easy, and try not to rush things...I find the Rp'ing much more enjoyable and it lasts longer as well.

And thanks minqy, it's good to hear I haven't completely betrayed my gender...(and I guess that the fact that I can still giggle, is a good sign tongue.gif )
