Well, I did a little digging in my PM inbox and rediscovered a plan Shogunsniper and I came up with a long time ago for Part 3. I like this idea a lot, as it takes a lot of things we've put into the plot and makes sense out of them. Such as the three kids' importance, and Veric's reason for wanting to become emperor. It also creates a pretty dark setting, which I like. Anyway, just read:
Veric's purpose in becoming sole ruler of the empire is a very selfish one. He learned that in the foundation of the White Gold Tower is a magical power source that only the ruler of Tamriel can even use. Its existence has been forgotten, but it grants the Emperor the ability to exert complete control over his subjects. At least those subjects who have sworn an oath of allegiance. As soon as those subjects swear the oath, they give up their free will to Altair, or Veric.
The twist is that this power also extends to the dead. Everyone that ever swore an oath to past Emperors (blades, guards, etc.) can now be used in Veric's evil plots.
After a long period of peace, Veric will come to power, and soon after, undead armies will start popping up as they will become Veric's main force. He will probably also create a special police force of some kind to force people to swear the oath.
The three kids (Satyana, Amrita, Rann) are important because they have the power to break Veric's hold on those that have sworn the oath.
The heroes will be content for a while, as there will be a long period of peace, but soon they will realize that something has gone horribly wrong. They will probably be forced into exile until they figure out about Rann, Amrita, and Satyana's ability to break the curse. So they will start underground resistance, etc. until they finally overthrow Veric.
That's my (and Shogun's) idea.
I like that idea. It also gives Flint a chance to return. (Who is there to say that the effects are only visible in Cyrodiil?)
What about the snakemen? Or do we assume they scattered and died?
Otherwise sounds good.
Thats cool.. I'll hop on.. Def be active till at least may 9th.. lol
Sounds good though.
I'm down. I suspect that Agrippa would personally lead this "special police force" you speak of.
Hopefully my idea of the Home Guard doesn't get turned down. I think it would be cool to have a bit of a subtle rivalry going on within the Imperial City.
Hey, Cloudy, do you want to keep controlling Vasha and help out with the Narza'Tai a bit?
I wouldn't mind to pick up Vasha again. I don't know if she would count as NPC or PC though. In last rp, she was more like a hybrid. Reminds me of Odrik the Siegemaster.
As for when the playground goes up. I'm ready to go at anytime.
Ok, here I am again...(been away for a few days) So Satyana will be an important charachter now..hmmm suits me fine! But I still wish to involve Brianna a tiny bit.....After all...she's their mother
Well I suppose that Altair would think of an excuse to keep Rahvin and Brianna close. After all, they are the parents of Rann and (in Brianna's case) the other siblings. That alone should hold his interest, with the prophecy and all.
If not that, Rahvin and Brianna could stick around to keep an eye on the kids. Perhaps they're trying to fix the gap that has grown between Rahvin and Sathyana and Issac?
Brianna and Rahvin will live a quiet life to start with. They need to consolidate their relation, to develop it, because there has been so many obstacles during the time. Now at least they have a life together...hopefully life will let them have just that!
Satyana and Issac are married apparently and that is exactly what I was planning as well!!
They are working on the relations to Brianna and Rahvin...and Satyana still have hope for a reconciliation with Rann, her beloved brother...
I'm good to go whenever. My week break has begun so as long as I'm not at work or a concert, I should be available.
looks good...Yeah I plan on having Agrippa despise Flogir, not like open hostility, but they really see eye to eye on absolutely nothing. He will be the leader of the Secret Police who will root out "Anti-Republic scum" which is anyone who does not support Veric.
Dalrus and Rann will, of course, start going out and Dalrus is one of the most powerful/influential people in the Empire, besides Veric, along with Voltar because the three of them are famous for their epic magic duel. Dalrus is also leader of the mages guild and I think I will have her work with Karn later on helping the people, if you think that's okay Revan?
Hmm, lessee.
At the start, Flint will be working with Odrik on developing a new kind of Siege engine specifically designed towards defending a city from massive armies. I think he'll exchange letters with Flogir on the project. Seeing as how Flogir is the captain of the Home Guard, he would be very interested in it. Flint faces slight pressure from Aggrippa (who I bet would rather see the Home Guard absorbed into his Legions), but nothing major so he doesn't really hate the man.
Flint does not know about Flogir's interactions with the Narza'Tai. If he knew of it however, it would not harm his friendship with Flogir. He would not approve of it, but he realizes that if it works, it works.
As for Sorian, he could go in all directions really. Just as with Flint at the start of THIH 1, he is neutral and can be taken in by both Agrippa and the people. It really just depends on it. One quick word about 'scum living in villages and preying on traveling merchants' could put him under Aggrippa's thumb, without realizing the truth. On the other hand, I don't see what use Aggrippa would have for him. He is nothing special, just a self-proclaimed hero.
I have no qualms with anyone interacting with the Narza'Tai, since POS is not available at the moment, it's either myself or Cloudy that show the Narza'Tai side of the story.
Dalrus can help the people the Narza'Tai are helping. Their magically inclined members will be concentrated in a few places due to their lack of quantity.
I remember making Vasha and her comrades to give the Narza'Tai a few faces other than Karn and Patholos, now whatever they become is largely up to you. Ask any questions you need about how the 'Tai have changed since the war you need, Jack.
The letters between Flogir and Flint definitely work for me. He'd certainly be interested in that. I'm also glad to see that Florodine and I are on the same terms about how Flogir and Agrippa will interact.
I suppose that since Flogir looks after the protection of The Imperial City, he'll be involved in any meetings involving the Council?
Hmm, ok. First questions on the Tai. (Tai...hmm...does that mean they eat Thai food?
)
The trademark 'poof of smoke' teleportation, can every Narza'Tai do that (implying it comes from an enchanted ring or other small object), or is it something only the few mages can do?
Also, the protection of outlying settlements. How exactly do you imagine that? Do they ambush Legion patrols who come too close? (Sounds bad, as that would draw Aggrippa's attention) I'm afraid I'm a bit confused on the matter.
During the war the teleportation was strictly just the magical members, but since then members can teleport to a point where a mage has set a Narza'Tai "mark" spell.
The mages can teleport freely, but normal assassins are restricted to a few points (which tend to be strategically placed near protected settlements or gathering places).
As for their protection, early on the Narza'Tai would kill the legionaires who tried to take advantage of the settlers (before the legion had a real leader).
Now they don't kill (most of the time) they simply ambush the offenders, steal back and otherwise dish out justice, which entirely up to the assassins involved.
Any military action attemtped is normally intercepted and the survivors are sent back minus their equipment. Eventually it was realized that it wasn't worth wasting resources on the Narza'Tai's territory since they were so modile.
Mostly the Narza'Tai function like the old legion's foresters, keeping dangerous creature populations under control, and rooting out bandits and raiders.
The Narza'Tai are so experienced on this land now that they always choose the battlegrounds and the legion can't fight effectively (think about a Vietnam kind of situation for the legions). So yes, they have the good general's eye, but I don't think Altair would let him waste assets when there are easier targets to extort, for now at least.
Ah, ok. That clears up a lot. Thanks.
Next question, though this is more of a general one. Who gets to open the playground thread? It looks to me that we are all set to get started. All of the still active rp-ers from last time have posted their characters, so all cleared to go.
Oh..I'll post Brianna-revamped later...but I think Danny will start? Or Jackie.....or was it Revie? jeez I dunno....I know how to start Satyana anyway....hehe
Heh, I guess I'll be the one to kick this one off.
Let's go! CCCHHHAAAANGGEE GETTER...ONE!!! SWITCH...ON!!!!
Eh, oops. Wrong show.
Think I'm going to give this one a go. Will post character later
Are there any specific plans on how the characters will be brought back together? I was wandering what the best way to write Indor in would be.
Not at the moment, for as far as I know.
I think that at the moment we're still setting the stage. Once we've determined what everyone is up to, then we can go and start the real story.
As for Indor he might run into the Plys'Iea or some Narza'Tai while out in the countryside.
Edit: Nevermind, I had the wrong character in mind. Countryside stuff sounds more like it belongs to Fuzzy's character. For Indor, perhaps he's trying to make Altair sponsor his research?
Speaking of the Plys'Iea, he was the helmeted being at Pell's Gate, right? If so, that's awfully close to Cyrodiil. Oh, I can see a conspiracy-theory growing.
Think I understand the role of the Narza'Tai, but does the Legion still function and where do they stand in all of this? And the Home Guard mostly protects the Imperial City and the other villages in Cyrodiil?
Anyway, my character running into the Narza'Tai sounds good for me.
Yes that was the Plys'Iea, he's just doing what he did during the siege: making people afraid. And he isn't working for anyone at the moment, he's the only unbiased character, he hates everyone, only some more than others. ![]()
We're just starting and wek?e already got a plot twist!
Dantrag (almost called him Rann there
) suggested that the Akaviri should make some sort of secret pact with Veric, giving him their allegiance. Since one of my characters (Savirien) is the current leader of the snake-men, I concur. It would be only natural for them to follow one whom they would perceive as the most powerful in the land, now that the Silhouette is gone.
Besides, not many of the Akaviri really liked the Silhouette, he inspired more dread in them than he did loyalty. Of course, loyalty can come from fear just as well as it can come from compassion.
well they liked him, afterall the Silhouette was their champion, but he was very demanding, and they were more attracted to his power than his benefits.
Well, because undead armies can be pretty fun to bludgeon one's way through, this looks like fun.
Yes, I'm here, and I know, shucks. If anyone is in the need of a sword slinger to act as a body guard or whatnot and wants throw me into the fray, please, go for it. I find that getting into things is the hardest thing.
I can RP Amili as wandering through town looking for a job.
Oh yea, Jack. I'm going to have Flogir get the messenger pigeon after the council meeting and the private chat with Agrippa. I shall not be forgotten!
Well, you would know better Florodine, but at least from my character's viewpoint, the Silhouette was admired for his strength, power and unwavering will.
Anyway, give me the word Dantrag, and the snake-men will exit the marshes and go out of hiding, openly declaring themselves.
That's nice to hear, Mallet.
Anyway, Sorian has worked himself into trouble. Now I've had some pm-ing going on with Fuzzy, but so far we haven't found a proper conclusion yet. Griff has volunteered to help as well, as did Soulseeker. (Although in Soulseeker's case I'm not sure. Amili is according to her profile in Cyrodiil after all, not Chorrol.)
So my question is this. What should happen to Sorian? Should he be saved someone else (Dan or Savras) , should he miraculously defeat both guards with style? (Please, don't make him win.) Or should he get beat up and tossed in jail? For that matter, should he lose his sword?
Savras himself have no plans on having his weapons confiscated if he is staying in Chorrol as he doesn't care about such rules. Maybe we could just beat up the guards and head for Hackdirt, the small settlement which ain't that far south from Chorrol - that way Savras could meet up and get to know the Narza'Tai and maybe get involved with them and stuff.
That sounds good enough. Sorian won't like it too much, but he is being forced to fight pretty much. As long as the guards aren't killed, it's fine.
Shall we wait till Griff says his word before moving on?
Yeah let's wait
so can anyone help me place my character into this rp? i dont have much of an idea of what to really do... seing as how everyone is all over the place.... anyones character in the imperial city? i dont try to make my characters all 'drifter' like, but i wouldnt know how to approach the city in its current state...
Jack, Fuzzy, as suggested by Jack, I could have Amili be running an errand (for the fighter's guild perhaps) and could stumble upon the scene. Now that I'm thinking, that could prove to be a non violent alternative to beating up the guards and while Savras might not like it, Sorian might.
Ps. Jack, please disregard my PMs. All they will be is confusing.
Every option is alright to me, although Savras doesn't give compassion about laws and regulations he would simply like to avoid the guards more than anything unless they try to take his weapons
So you guys can just go ahead and post, I'll just follow the flow and we'll see what happens. Savras will get to Hackdirt or any other settlement one time or another so he can learn about the Narza'Tai.
I don't mind if Sorian makes off with Savras. Dan, after all, isn't the most compassionate individual out there, and he wouldn't care much for Sorian but he would like it if the guards weren't killed, or seriously wounded for that matter. I don't know how he would react if Savras, Sorian and the guards were to start fighting, however. I think he would join in and try to stop them from fighting.
OK Revie! How do we get our love-birds into action?
Danny, I'm going to make a "Brianna-post" in the nearest future, no strings attached....
Just wondering if we should use the reserved combat posting system thing we did a while back? So that everyone post reserved and then edit - as it's much easier for those involved to not post conflicting things or at the same time. You just simply wait til the guy above have edited his post then you post etc.
Jack - Is Sin still active and if so is he still in the IC? I can't see Indor running into anyone in the arcane university (though he might) and if Sin is active then Indor might try to find him simply because he's investigating magic.
If the situation is permitting, Issac can arrive soon. He is a member of the Countess' Court, he also knows Dan. Perhaps he could nogotiate some compromise (even though the guards have been rouched up a bit). ![]()
As for Issac, he'll soon be on his way to Chorrol to notify Arriana Valga that he won't be able to work a representative for awhile. He also has some letters to pass along with the news.
Well... I think the guards are done. Now that they are in the minority anyhow.
Does anyone mind my character dropping into chorrol? I don't know too much about everyones character, but I've read a lot of the last rp, and everyones updated profile, so ill try not to wing it too much.
Ooh! Ooh! Can I get in on this one?
It's still early on, so the more the merrier I say.
Can I join? I haven't been in the first or second chapters but I think I can catch along. I only read the first post, so if you ever mentioned anything about no more room on the second page then I apologize.
Personally, I don't see a problem in you joining. Create a character, post him/her in the character thread and join in the charade.
Mallet and Florodine:
Do you want to play out the council meeting or just skip it?
Sorry Minque, but I can't move Issac forward until Satyana responds.
Alot of people seem to be at Chorrol's gate, so I'll just start there.
Ian will inform only a few people about Umbranox's murder: Karn, Countess Valga, and Issac (not Satyana).
The Countess doesn't usually travel, but it will increase the security inside the castle. But aside from that the truth won't really affect the plot except for galvanizing the Narza'Tai and giving more fuel to Ian and Kirana's eventual tirade with Rann during the climax of the RP (not even they can keep their cool for long).
Hehe, even if Ian told Rann that Amrita murdered the Countess, he might not care if he truly believed that she was a threat to Altair. By then, Altair could possibly have Rann completely under his wing. We'll see I suppose.
I know that, it will just be something of an emotional release for Ian and Kirana, not to mention myself!
I would at least think Rann could be surprised (not necessarily turned away from Veric) that Kirana hasn't been "dead" after all.
Ok so I've been thinking! (don't laugh!) I'm considering to let Brianna be the co-owner of that bar/inn we all met in in THIH II, Lokken Tavern! I mean Ragnar is not getting younger and he'll need someone to take over after him. Brianna could step in, she could also to start with, rent a corner or something to set up some kind of apothecary! She would sell herbs, plants, potions and stuff.....Then she could be in the middle of things without being so in the frontline. Rahvin would maybe find it OK, then he could be around, he could help out somehow...but not take a very active part...unless he wants to!
What do you say?
I don't see why not, it doesn't mess up anyone else's plans. Go for it minque!
I fully endorse such actions.
And to answer a previous question, I don't mind skipping the meeting if nothing truly significant is expressed (I doubt any of them but Altair would know of the Countess' death).
So, should I go ahead and pull Agrippa aside now?
It's the Oak and Crossier by the way. Anyway, Ian will be heading for Chorrol, Karn is just overseeing his followers' progress, and Issac and Satyana might be able to catch up with Dan....... *crosses fingers*
yeah agrippa is free.
Dan isn't really going anywhere. As I said, he's just waiting around at the gate. I'm sure Issac and Satyana could catch up with him.
Ok, so let's move the youngsters, Revie, shall we? Let's catch up with Dan....I don't know in detail what that will lead to, but Satyana is fit for walking and also a bit of fighting/healing, I mean she's not that long gone....she's in her 6th week os something, it doesn't show, but she might suffer from a slight morning-sickness from time to time.
Will you make the "move-out-post" Revie?
So how long time jump have we done this time (i need to know so that I can alter the ages of my two characters).
We've moved forward one year, Tellie.
When does the gate open?
Hey kids, this weekend I discovered that my computer has a corrupt file.... a file that is quite important.... And with it being prom weekend, I haven't been able to reinstall Windows, as of yet. So yeah, my normal computer is out of commision and it has been surprisingly difficult to get online. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get the computer up and running quite soon.
Edit. As for when the gates open.... I don't think the guards are controlled by one forumite.... as in, if you want to rp the guards as opening the gate, then go for it. (And, of course, if I'm wrong, someone yell at me
)
Flogir, Danny, sorry I haven't posted, I'll post later today! I haven't been home.
I'll wait for something big to happen.
Why has everything been so slow? I know I've been part of the problem since it's been my turn to post for a week, but where is everyone?
Exams are probably taking their toll. Other than that, vacations maybe?
I've been vaguely waiting for someone to pass though either the imperial city or the arcane university.
Just finished my exams so perhaps I'll get a post done at some point.
Minque been a little inconsistant, no offense to her of course, and I don't know if we want Dan and the others to meet Issac and Satyana yet.
I've been checking back every day, but no one had replied.
There, I continued our conversation Florodine. Sorry 'bout the wait. School life and work just leaves me so drained at the end of the day that I forget to check up on this place.
School and training takes up most of my time at the moment. Savras will just wander around in Chorrol trying to learn more about what happen and how things are meanwhile.
Hmmm I'll post something with Satyana....but I'm not really sure where she's going....
Then I'working (in my head) on something concerning Brianna.....see what it leads to
Thanks Mallet, and Dan, I'll reply to both your posts.
errr.... well i just moved into a new duty station.... so ive been adjusting with the new north carolina weather and work.... plus.... ive been pondering on a way to get into play with the main characters.... so far ive been going back and forth with the argonian
Two things.
1) 'pologies for my absence. For one I graduated, and another, getting a replacement computer took longer then I expected it to.
and 2) I'll have Amili open the gates. If anyone is willing to give the lass a hand in opening these huge oaken doors so that the travelers can enter..... be my guest ![]()
Before my post with Issac the gates were already partially open, so they should be open even more now. And didn't someone come from the Oak & Crossier? and now is outside in the crowd, that means the gates were open all along.
... I blame other people.
But yeah, Okay, I wasn't totally sure. I was reading people's posts and was confuzzled. Heh... should have asked instead of just assuming.
Anyhow, Revan, If'n you want, Issac and Amili can get into a small bickeringness. If not, you can just say they push past a pissed Dunmer or whatnot.
Minque, I don't understand, jealous of what? Issac chewing someone out? Not that it will be doing too bad since Satyana is expected.
OK..hehe just thought Issac would appreciate another woman coming along and so...but NP....
Maybe if she were less pissed off. Perhaps later, Issac isn't exactly this RP's Rahvin.... at least not yet, but anything could happen.
Haha, no Minque. I hadn't though of Amli moving onto Issac, but if you want me too...
No, I'm just trying to spice things up and kill time before all hell breaks loose again.
OMG..will hell break loose..again???? jeez I'd just got to post soon.....hrrmm
Hahaha, I'm assuming hell will break loose, Minque. Something tells me this rpg isn't *just* a tea party. ![]()
Edit: I should have just had Amili be head of the guards or some such like that.....
Oh, well maybe a promotion is in order.......
Issac is in Valga's Court after all. Ian is going to make his appearance a little (a day) after the couple's meeting with the countess.
I don't see why there couldn't be. And is this going to be a good, or bad, appearance?
Both actually, it's good because Ian will be in Chorrol to get the good news from Issac and Satyana in person, bad because he believes Altair is silencing those who don't totally agree with the democracy he's started.
Ahhh, I wonder what the countess will say when she finds out Satyana is pregnant....or will she find out?
Does anyone want to control the countess of should I? The point of this meeting is for Issac to ask the countess to relegate him to domestic work so he can be present for the baby's birth and to raise her (plans which could get derailed later on).
I'm thoroughly stuck just now. Are there any definate plans as to where the action is going to kick off? It sort of looks like chorrol just now in which case I might move Indor there.
Unless there's anyone in the Imperial city looking to meet up with someone? Dalrus and Rann seem rather busy with eachother just now.
Well, Ian's going to meet with the countess awhile after Issac and Satyana do. Things might get tense, but I don't know if that's where things boil over..... And who will be the Plys'Iea's next victim?
Jack's been kinda missing hasn't he? ![]()
I'll move Issac and 'Tyana o the countess if Minque doesn't want to say goodbye to Amili.
It's cool with me! Just move them, I'll catch up...
To clarify, they live on a homestead near Chorrol, just south, not as far as Hackdirt. Being reassigned could work is fine.
To clarify, they live on a homestead near Chorrol, just south, not as far as Hackdirt. Being reassigned could work is fine, make it the IC.
Crap, the handhaeld glitched. Minque, could you delete the other post?
Ahhh good! I think I'll let Revie decide where Satyana and Issac will be doing for now, As for Rahvin and Brianna I do have some thoughts about them. Now I'll be a bit absent for a few days due to graduation festivities, but I'll come back and my plan is to post Brianna pretty soon...
Alright, Ian will arrive a little before the second meeting. And I'll make some post with the Plys'Iea, but all that will wait until tomorrow.
EDIT: Can someone else post so I don't double-post, please?
yeah, they're in the arboretum still, but florodine hasn't been around much lately, so I don't know how to get around that.
Did somebody say Shogun? Im back in Florida for the summer which means that i have internet access for the summer. So wassup? Hows the RP business?
Welcome back Shogun! RP business is slow right now, but I'm sure it's only temporary. It was moving pretty fast for a while there.
And coincidentally, I'll be moving to FL this July.
ooh cool. where at? and i plan on catching up soon, you mind if i jump back in? at least as good ole sadril?
Well, mostly everyone's just going about their post-invasion lives. WIth the exception of Rann, who just returned from Summerset after investigating his tatoo's origins, Ian, who believes Amrita had a hand in the death of Countess Umbranox, and the Plys'Iea (not sure you were present when I started him) has been terroizing the countryside, massacring travaelors, small villages, and executing Veric's legionnaires.
By the way, Satyana is pregnant with a child now (not sure if the child will have any role in this story). There's also a few interest groups who defend the traditional ways in the face of Veric's democrasy. Rann and Dalrus are sharing a budding romance, as are Issac (the father of the unborn child) and Satyana.
PS: I don't know why, but I'm going to post a link to this incredibly popular evil laugh video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_S_AZrxQGg&feature=related
cool i will catch up when i can. i should be getting internet permenantly soon, but i will at least have it until july 22nd so hopefully i will join you guys until then.
I'm going to allow some more in RP time pass beore posting Issac and Satyana again. Same with Ian and the Plys'Iea.
I'm off tomorrow, to another graduation party. Hopefully I'll be ablo to come online sometimes during the weekend but I can't promise!
Anyway it's ok if we let Satyana and Ian rest for a while....I'm more into Brianna now..
I'm gonna let Amili chill at Chorrol. Revan and Minque, if you two want to do shtuff with her some time (Yeah, I dunnno) just pm me or some such.
im really lazy guys
there wouldnt happen to be anybody who would enjoy writing me a brief summary?
just one that entails the state of tamriel and how the siege of the imperial city concluded.
The Silhouette was banished (by Veric in the guise of Altair) and the Akaviri army fell apart: some going back to Akavir, so biding their time for a chance to continue the fight anew. So far Veric's been preparing for a "2nd Akaviri invasion" that will give him an excuse to assume "emergency powers."
With the exception of some, Tamriel had adopted the democratic council that Altair has suggested. The foremost traditionalists would be Countess Umbranox (deceased), Countess Valga, the Narza'Tai, my characters (lol), Satyana, and I'm sure I'm missing a couple others.
But Veric does have the majority of Cyrodiil in his pocket.
how much time has passed since the siege on the imperial city?
Approximately 1 year
I'll be in Finland next week. Hopefully I can get online but...well.
Haha. Just my luck. Things look like they are slowly starting to pick up and I have to leave. I'm going to be up in New York for the next two weeks (give or take a few days) and I'm certain I'll have little to no internet during my stay. (grand folks have dial up and only one phone line..... so yeah....)
So I guess Amili is going to do random errands for the Fighter's guild while I'm gone. I'll see you guys some time July.
Sorry for not appearing, apparently my family's modem is gradually dying and it just took a call by my mom to an expert and it's working again.... for now. Regardless, I'm fine with Brianna and Rahvin meeting Satyana and Issac at Lokken (never got around to making a post for them, sorry).
Olen, I think we need a creative way to end this conversation because we can't really get anywhere without Florodine. I feel like eventually we're going to get trapped since Dalrus is the one with the connections Indor needs, not Rann.
Maybe something could happen at the mages guild (like an emergency of some sort that would take some time to resolve) that would require her immediate attention? Then we would have an excuse to take Dalrus out of the picture for awhile, and it still makes it easy for Florodine to come back. I'm planning on having Rann travel to Chorrol now, since that seems to be the happening place, and Indor could come too, if you want.
Right that sounds good. I'll leave the best way to distract Dalrus up to you but something at the mages guild would be fine. And if you bring up that you're going to Chorrol Indor will come as he pretty much needs to get out of the IC anyway.
Dantrag, not sure if you want to RP them having a drink, if you have more to say then by all means do otherwise you could arrange somewhere for them to meet the next morning to leave as Indor will want to go home and pick up his gear (and find his home looted).
PS I don't think this really counts as double post as its not about the same thing and there's been 3 days but if it does feel free to disembowel me.
nah, we won't actually play through it.
on another note, I'm moving officially today so it may be a day or two before I'm back on.
Ok ....I'm kinda stuck with Brianna now...or shall I just move them both forwards?
Okay, Minque, Satyana can point out Lokken nearby and the two generations can meet up and talk.
Sure! Let's go to Lokken....hopefully Bree and Rahvin are still there, maybe Rahvin's getting a bit drunk???
ohhh I'd like that, then Bree could be as well ...what fun they'd have!
well, it was less like a day or two and more like a week, but I'm back. My apartment is all set up and after 45 mins with tech support, I now have internet.
Great, Dantrag. Unfortunately, I likely won't be posting between 1630 today and next saturday evening.
Yay Danny! congrats to your new apartment, and it's very god you've got internet....so let's move some guys forward a bit shall we?
How do i get in on this, i am just reading through the thread...
i have been reading up on the various characters but i thaught i could sort of be a stand alone character for a bit so everyone gets to know mine.. if that makes sense
I don't know how or even if this fits into your plan for your character, but you could have Mork chance upon Rann and Indor on the road if you wanted.
I'm fine with that.
Dantrag - how long is it going to take them to reach the ruin (ie will night fall before they do?) And what will be living in it (IIRC the game has undead but this is set somewhat after oblivion). I don't know how long you want to continue this conversation.
I'm thinking that the ruin should either have undead or deadra inside, but I'm not picky. As far as the specifics, I don't really know what should happen in the ruin. What exactly is it that Indor is studying about ayleid stones? maybe we could have it relate somehow to the power source voltar and veric are trying to activate?
I'll leave the inhabitants up to you. Either's fine, deadra could raise a skeliton from Indor's past but equally keeping some secrets hidden is good.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Lindai that has a plan of the ruin if you want to use it, or just make it up as we go along, again I'm easy.
Basically he'll find a few stones and make a few notes, possibly find some (rather dead) other mage's notes. He is just studying how they work and what they're made from. It could relate to what Veric and Valtar are trying to activate.
Revie! Does Issac know anything about Rann's whereabouts? In my last post Brianna asked him and Satyana if they had heard anything from Rannie or if they know where he is...
I'd prefer Issac to respond so I don't have to rp with myself....
Sorry, Minque. I just got around to posting, I plan to have Ian show up very shortly. Dantrag, The Countess already knew of Umbranox's death, so shall I say Ian got there early and has been out of sight up until now?
Is the tavern going to be relatively mellow or is something going to happen that requires the aid of a Dunmer lass?
Sooo, what do you think guys, should anything happen at the Tavern? Satyana, Issac, Brianna and Rahvin are there, trying their best to get drunk I suppose
Well probably not Satyana...
Amili has arrived I gather so....anyone has a brilliant idea?
Remember Issac and Ian are almost religious about not getting drunk. If we draw a blank with the tavern I can have Ian show up. Nothing like a semi-disguised vampire to liven things up.
sounds good to me.
sorry about the double post. in my defense, they're five days apart.
I think that something needs to happen at the lokken. Nothing big, you know, but maybe a small sign of danger in the future and some way to include amili. she's been sitting there for a while. (sorry soulseeker)
That's okay, I haven't been able to really get on much lately anyhow with the whole "adjusting to college" thing.
Dantrag/ Jack - It might be best if we have some idea of what will happen with Sorian, Indor and Rann (and the guards). I can't really post without repeating whats already been said without making having the guards do something.
What's the plan?
alright, here I am back again. I always feel like such a jerk when I stop coming on. In this case it was end of the year stuff and then during the summer I don't have a computer since I'm a councilor at a camp.
Again, I feel awful about leaving. It seems like this RP has gone really really slow though, so I suppose I haven't missed an incredible amount.
Where should I jump back in?
Ah, sorry everyone. I'll try to be more active from now on.
Regarding Sorian, it really depends on whether or not the guards will accept his offer. I'm not sure myself on if they would do that actually. Anyway, if they accept, Sorian basically becomes the Legion's unknowing lackey/messenger. In some situations, he might be better than an official messenger, simply because he isn't known to be involved with the legion and because his code of honour means he won't read the letters he carries. (That, and he's practically illiterate.)
While I'm on the subject of guards, the following is regarding Antus. I've thought about it a bit more and realized that there is no reason for Flint to make contact with the lad. There are plenty of unknown faces among the Bruma guards, so he won't notice yet another one. Instead, perhaps Antus' commander could assign Antus to Flint? All in the name of getting experience or something like that.
alright, I'll see how I can fit back into it easily.
Well I read everything and apparently it has only been 2 days that have passed in this RP so it should be very easy for both of us to get into it. I think people just need to post more. I usually checked every day but then I would forget once it never picked up and I eventually would remember a few months later. I think this RP has a ton of potential.
yeah, I want to get things going again.
.
Are Indor and Rann going to approach Sorian? I don't really mind either way so it depends on what plans anyone else has.
yeah, that's what i was waiting on.
Ok so I guess i'll just have to try another approach...I'm thinking of entering a new charachter....one that will fit in more with the others
Anyway I'm thinking about it
does anyone want to keep going, or are we done?
why it would be a shame to just quit..so I'm in for a continuation...
I'm on for continuing but I think if its going to work it needs a definate direction of whats going to happen and where so people can get back in and work towards something, at least in the short term.
I think the problem is, there isn't as many different plots going on, I mean we need a central one definitely, otherwise we will have another WoH. We also need to maybe email people and ask if they still want to do this.
Is it okay if I join in on this game? Also, just some input:
A central plot is definitely a good idea to start with!
