Mage
Arcyakt chuckled at Alton's explanation for the missing Nord. What a refreshing change from the honorable Falx!
Sel
Sel stood, controlling his urge to do a thousand things to Niran - all involving a sword. Instead, he wiped the blood from his lip and turned to face Sasal, the one who he could take out all his rage on.
"Now that that's taken care of..." he said while listening to all the conversations around him. He waited for Sasal to make the first move.
OOC: Good character, btw Kiln.
"Hmm. It appears you didn't kill passenger, Alton. So what really happened between you and this Nord?" Osano said curiously. He didn't believed that Falx would kill someone for no reason; even if he had changed.
Niran sat down and leaned against a tree, taking a good look at the map and muttering the directions to himself. If he lost his map, he would need to remember them.
Arneth leaned back by the camp fire resting...
"So who are you all.. I haven't really got to know you?" he questioned as he waitied for the duel to start with his sword by his side..
(OOC: Ok guys, its 31st July over here so I'll come back tomorrow
Wait, I'll be back in around 10 hours after my beauty sleep)
"I.. well.." Falx felt ashamed, but wouldn't give in to the truth, "The Nord was drunk, and he approached me in a way that would seem.. inappropriate?" Falx felt that his.. lie, was coming out quiet well, "I warned him, and he began to get angry, a volital concoction if I might say, heh, a.. happy, drunken Nord. Not something that I'd want to deal with" Falx, or Alton, looked up at the two, "The man wouldn't turn, so I quickly brought his demise. Pity he couldn't put up more of a fight. Anyways I figured that I was somehow protected by some law, and therefor had the right to defend myself.."
"There, you have it. Yes, I guess that makes me a murderer" Alton put his hands up, and pretended to have them cuffed, "Please mister officer, I didn't mean it, don't send me to jail" He let a sly grin escape his mouth.
"Its odd, I seem to remeber everything now.. kind of chilling at the same time"
Osano laughed. He was unsure whether or not he belived Alton, but it didn't matter.
He sat down in one of the beds and put his hands behind his head. "It wasn't really murder if you he was going to attack you. More like self-defense...Anyway I hope we reach our destination soon, this is really boring," Osano said.
He stood up and walked up on deck and spotted the man who had come down looking for the Nord. "Excuse me but, where is your captain?" he asked.
There I edited...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
York stood from scrubbing the decks and answered the man,
"I could care less where that moron is at the moment...his commands have become more and more ridiculous, I don't know if I can bare to work for him another day...at the next stop, I'm out of here."
He paused for a moment and examined the man.
"Hmmm...where are you and your friends headed after we reach the port?" York asked him
"Your right, it wasn't murder, because why would a hounorable soldier such as my self slaughter those I am sworn to protect?"
Alton shuffled under the blanket, shifting the gauntlets to a more comfortable position..
"Besides, it wasn't like he had anything of value on him"
York stood for a moment looking at nothing in particular thinking,
Rebels? Hmmm...there are so few of these men to fight them, perhaps the leader will accept my help if I should ask carefully.
"I might just have a word with him if the opportunity should present itself...thanks." York said
"Oh yes and you probably won't have much luck finding the captain either, his second in command is in charge after his dissappearance...but I think we're near the port...of course I could be wrong though, I'm not really much of a sailor." he added
Mage
Arcyakt came above decks, leaving Alton to his newfound self.
"How much longer?" Arcyakt asked York, the nearest crew member. "No more than a day and a half, I hope."
OOC: Yay! The bad guys get to post!
Kiln was startled by his voice as he hadn't seen him come up the stairway but tried to stay calm as he answered,
"It shouldn't be much longer, I've taken this voyage before and we're slightly overdue at the port. I'll finally be off this god forsaken ship." York said
Kiln used the same approach he'd used on the other man that had spoken to him.
"So where are you heading after you leave the port?" York asked hoping to start a conversation
Mage
"Not sure." Arcyakt replied, not revealing any information. "We need to track down some people."
He began pacing about the deck impatiently - due to Alton, he couldn't reveal his true power and just teleport them, at least not yet.
Ships were just so slow, he felt like his time was wasting away for no purpose at all.
OOC: bedtime. Have to wake up bright and early.
York stood for a moment,
I figured he wouldn't tell me right away, I've got to be careful about what I say, at least my thoughts are safe.
"You don't know where you're going?" York said trying to seem surprised
I've got probably one more full day and part of another to convince him that I could be of some help...it would be best not to tell them about the captain either.
"The people you are trying to track down, are there alot of them then?" York asked hoping not to annoy him but pressing his luck
OOC: Alright, later
Celia looked up at the Redguard. "Eh?" She held out a hand, smiling brightly. "Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier. I'm Celia, Altmer healer-in-training."
She then tried naming the people in the group off of the top of her head and gestured to them, "There is Sel, silly Dunmer. The person I healed is named Megil. Then, there is Otik, and there's Jonacin. There's Konrad, and I'm sure you know Niran..." She gestured towards the shrine's enterance. "Serene, the mage woman of the group, is inside, getting some sleep right now." She scratched her head. "And I think that's everybody..."
She then turned to where Sel and Sasal were still facing off. "So," she said casually as she watched, her hand tightening on her hammer, "what kinds of stuff does a Grandmaster-whatchama-callit like you do for a living?"
Jonacin dimly heard Arneth speaking as he concentreated on the two men facing off for the duel.
"Oh, I'm Jonacin, a Blademaster and Master Ansei" he said to Arneth.
Arneth looked over at Jonacin raising an eyebrow...
"Master Ansei... You wouldn't be able to summon a spirit sword would you? Sehai or whats it called." Arneth said, Ansei reminded him of one Redguard he once met in a duel who was able to summon upon a spirit sword from his hand, powerful opponent...
Arneth had actually been looking for one, at least a Master. He had been teached little about the power..
"You mean a Shehai? Yes, i can, but i don't want to at the moment because it could be taken as a sign from that fool Sasal that i intend to interfere in the duel"
Arneth just nodded to Jonacin before facing over to the duel that seemed to start soon...
(OOC: Hope it will start soon..)
"I have to meet someone." Arcyakt answered. What else could he say? That he tracked people down using magic mirrors? Arcyakt took a moment to delve into York's mind - he wanted to come along. Fine with him.
"You can come along, if you like." Arcyakt offered. "Always more room for one more traveller. What do you say?" Arcyakt asked, extending his hand.
OOC: I hope so too....not much else I can do as Sel.
and what's up with the inactivity? There have been three posts since last night - and it's the weekend!!! ![]()
OOC: that's because we can't do anything til yo and Dagoth Carlos finish your blasted duel!
A day and a half?! I can't take much more of this. Osano sighed and walked towards the front of the ship. He sat down and looked out at the water in front of the boat. "This sucks," he stated plainly. Arcyakt had gotten him used to fast travel so the long voyage by boat was like hell.
OOC: if we get there sooner we can interupt the duel.
Arcyakt smiled at York, ignoring Osano's complaints, even though he shared them.
Take all the time you need, though you and I both know the answer. he thought to himself.
"Yes, of course." he said in answer to York. "These decisions do take time."
"I'm glad you understand." York said dismissing himself and walked to where Osano was sitting,
"Bored eh? Not to worry, we should arrive soon...I hope." York said to the man as he stood nearby staring into the water, seemingly as bored as Osano.
After a few minutes York stood and walked away, staring at the water was even more boring than walking about the deck.
Alton climbed up to the deck, it was mid-morning by his best estamits.
After yawning he looked at the group, "So Arcyakt, how many of these rebels are there? And does anyone happen to know a Sel? I remeber the name, someone called it out right before I fell from the mountain..."
"There are about ten or so rebels, but I'm not sure of the exact number." he said, feinging ignorace. He couldn't be seen as an all-powerful mage by Alton yet. "It's rumoured that they have some measure of the legion secretly working against the Empire. And not just low ranks, but people very high up the chain."
Arcyakt stroked his chin at the question of Sel, feinging ignorance as he had done all along. "Sel...Sel....Selenil!" he said, as if he finally made the connection. "A young dark elf. A murderer, no less. He has quite a bounty on him."
"Well... I beleive it was that honoured user who killed Darius, perhaps he might meet his doom by my blade" He smiled at the thought
Alton stretched out his sword arm, flexing it and popping the joints, "We might need to pick up some equiptment though, being as I have no sheild, or a curiass(SP)."
Sasal obviously had the same idea as Sel - let the opponent make the first move.
Sel stepped up to the task. He ran a few paces towards Sasal before springing towards him, his sword slashing downwards at an angle, aimed for Sasal's neck.
OOC: it has begun!
Niran looked up, his map in hand as he continued walking forward. He was taking his time, for he did not have much of an idea as to where he was located right now. The forest was still dense, and not much could be seen ahead.
York walked about the deck, but stopped in front of Arcyact,
"Arcyact, I considered it and I'd like to travel with your group. I can help you guys in fights and I won't be any trouble...I promise." York said
Wow...ten minutes without giving him my decision...it really seems like I had to think it over... York thought sarcastically
"I overheard you talking about rebels? Are these the people you are searching for?" York asked hoping for a more clear picture of the situation
OOC:I'll try not to be a problem...I wouldn't want York to get killed...
York was happy someone had finally shed some light on the situation for him,
"Finally I understand whats going on...are there many of these rebels?" York asked
Emperor huh? I'll fight beside these men to the death if they support such a noble quest...
Glad to be part of a group of some importance York was ready to serve the Emperor.
Mage
There are about ten leaders, we don't know how far the rebellion has spread yet. All we know is that some higher-ups in the military are in on it, as well as some of their subordinates.
"I see..." York said
Satisfied with Arcyact's information, York turned to the man standing beside him,
The man beside him stood there silently, York felt strange, like he was being examined.
"Have we met? Nah...I guess not...nevermind...anyways the name's York, I didn't catch your name." he said thrusting his hand forth to shake
OOC: Darn it Channler just got off...
Alton raised an eye brow at his hand, but then gripped it with a bit of force, "Names Alton, another sword his always better.. I suppose"
Niran had accidentally wandered back to camp. He could see them a little off in the distance.
Slapping a hand to his forehead, he sighed.
"How the hell am I supposed to get anywhere if I can't use this map properly," he muttered.
Megil ignored Konrad's obvious observation and looked up to Otik in the tree.
"anything exciting happening up there?"
OOC: I'm about to get this back off the ground...
Sel realized something about mid-way into his swing - this was stupid.
He stopped the swing, and landed on the ground, rolling away from Sasal.
"This is ridiculous." he said, sheathing his sword. "Why don't we focus on Arcyakt?"
OOC:You should've killed him...
York awoke later in the day, the ship was rocking too intensely for him to sleep any longer. He walked back up on deck and toward the captain's office, stopping and looking around before entering.
Once inside he took the finest brandy from a chest,
The captain won't need it anymore...since his unfortunate accident.
York tilted the bottle up drinking half the bottle of flin the captain kept stashed away and sat in the captain's chair mocking him pretending to sign the papers and drink. He leaned back in the chair and put relaxed, drinking the expensive brandy.
"I hope we arrive soon...this is borin' the ell outa me." York said in a slurred voice
OOC: omg. has there only been like 10 posts in 2 days!?
Osano stood up and looked around for something to do. After finding nothing he drew his sword and held it up to the sunlight, examining it. He had killed a small amount of people during his life, especially for a warrior. And now he was joining forces with an evil mage. How did I end up here? It's not that he wasn't happy with his choice, rather confused by it. He ran his fingers along the Daedric Claymore feeling the details on it. The sword was almost mint. It had seen very little battle since he acquired it. Osano sat back down on the deck and lied the sword next to him....
Konrad sat there, cross legged on a rock. He had his eyes shut, and listened carefully to Sel. He sighed and replied slowly, "Why don't we just wait for him to come to us? He wants to kill us, so he's definitely coming. How about you follow up on that duel I asked you for?" he asked, uncrossing his legs and leaping off the rock. He drew his silver longsword in mid-air and landed gracefully, placing the flat side on the ground and rolling to spread the force.
He stood up again and pointed his sword at Sel.
Konrad growled, and took out his dagger from his boot. "Give that back, thief..." he said, as he levitated the sword high in the air and threw the dagger to his back.
Niran dropped to the ground and caught the dagger as it fell down at him.
"Thanks,"
Sel walked over to Celia and sat down beside her.
"I quit one duel, only to be offered another, and then I get to see this." he said, pointing to Konrad and Niran.
To Sel's thinking, they were closer to Arcyakt than they had ever been since the Telvanni-Redoran battle. Sasal would get what was coming to him soon enough, and Konrad would get his duel - after Arcyakt was taken care of.
Konrad sighed. He just lay down in the dirt and stared at the sky, his sword rested across his chest after it had flown back to him.
Niran raised an eyebrow, and tossed the dagger to Konrad.
"Whatever," he said before walking away.
"This is stupid, This group can't even hold itself up, let alone banding together to defeat a common enemy."
"indeed," Megil glared at Niran, "But it seems that you are the main problem."
"Yeah, so I've been told. By everyone, so you can keep your mouth shut."
Stupid bastarde.
Niran returned the glare, he refused to be the first to look away or back down.
(OOC: Slow internet connect, my bad.)
Celia sighed in exasperation, her head felt like bursting. "Megil's right, Niran!" She glanced at him, her eyes serious. "Whose side are you on?" she growled, frustrated. She grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at Niran's direction. "All you've been doing is antagonizing the group, especially the sensible ones. Taunting, threatening, hurting--- Well, I'm sick of it!"
She glared at Niran and leaned over, her voice low. "And if you ever," she hissed through gritted teeth, "ever hurt my friends again, I will take it that you are an enemy, and I will personally kill you."
Celia smiled tightly and then calmly walked away from the group to find a more quiet spot to think and to be alone.
Sel had been about to say something around the same lines - Niran had, after all cut him with that dagger of his twice, but Celia had beat him to it.
He stared wide-eyed as she threatened Niran. That was...not normal for Celia to say the least.
He let her go, he understood the need to be alone.
"So, instead of slashing each others backs," he said with another glare towards Niran. "Why don't we plan our next move?"
Not on your side, apparently.
With a glare at Celia this time, Niran spat in her direction.
"How much did Sel pay for you, you stupid-!" Niran was going to add more, but decided against it.
So kill me.
And with that he took a step towards Sel and punched him in the face, voicing his thoughts.
"So kill me!"
"Oh really," Niran said,
With nothing to hit Sel with, he took his heavy pouch and threw it at Sel's head.
Though it missed, because Sel was long gone.
Niran sighed, and kicked the sand.
It wasn't that he didn't feel any guilt or remorse for what he did.
It was that he didn't like apologizing. . .
Niran wandered upon Celia, putting his hand on her shoulder he leaned towards her and whispered.
"Hate me all you want, but I've told you before that I love you, it may not show but I do."
No response came so he continued:
"Celia, okay you want me to admit it, I know you do. I'm a jerk, a hateful stupid and arrogant Imperial." And he spun her around and brought her hand up to his face.
"So hit me, kill me. Do whatever you like, let out your frustration at my arrogance, hurt me. I deserve it."
Konrad arched an eyebrow at Celia in her outburst, then chuckled. He got up again, sheathed his sword, and went to the beach to swim for Vvardenfell. He took off his boots and dived in, slowly making his way to the bigger Island.
What doesn't stop this Arcyakt by just coming here now and corrupting us.. Arneth thought, the group was falling apart - fast. How long could we even survive if we dont know that someone would cover your back...
Arneth looked over, seeing this young boy Konrad diving into the waters heading south and Niran asking for beeing punched in the face. Arneth sighed, this wasn't going to go well. If who ever gave them this quest had done a mistake he thought, without knowing about Azura...
"I agree with Sel! Either, we can all just unleash each others anger on each other, making a massacre(sp?) something that this Arcyakt maybe would have liked..." Arneth admitted, sharing his doubts in the group to stand up against Arcyakt, then he lowered his voice "Or... We can find Arcyakt, kill him, send him back to Oblivion where he will be locked for ever and then we can go our seprate ways! If I join you, and we go against Arcyakt as a group, knowing that the one behind you will cover your back.. and not stab you then we have a chance" with that said Arneth started walking against the south end, trying to catch Konrad before he was long out in the water...
OOC: internet crashed last night -.-
IC: "Well I trust everyon except for him," Megil said pointing in the direction Niran went.
Sel had started coming back baout the time Arneth had started his speech.
"Uhh...you guys are forgetting Serene, you know." He said to them though they were long gone.
"Ehm... I haven't met anyone named Serene so far..." Arneth pointed out...
OTik must have dosed off in the tree because he woke up sharply at the sounds of yelling from his friends, he looked around and saw that NIran was walking off again and the others were talking. so Otik climbed some of the way down the tree and jumped off the rest, without leaving a scratch and ran off tward Niran, hiddden by the trees.
OOC:sorry was at 6 flags and about Otik, you guys might have seen him leep out of the tree but don't know were he went after that.
"She's in the ruin." Sel answered. "I'll go get her."
Konrad stopped aruptly, then just floated in the middle of the sea. He was cold, btu he had been colder. The fish were nibbling at him, though it was not that painful.
Celia's cheeks reddened and she became speechless as she listened to Niran. She felt awkward and confused. After all, she never had experienced this kind of situation before: A male admitting his love for her. Not to mention, she also felt a little embarassed and suddenly shy...
Not sure what to do, and having mixed overwhelming feelings, she slapped Niran several times across the face and ran away towards the group, her cheeks still red.
Niran watched her run off, his hand still in the air where he had taken hold of her's.
"Wow . ." he muttered, at a loss for words as he dropped his hands to his side.
Wow . . .
Well what else did you expect?
Taking a step forward, Niran headed back to the group as well, doing his best to avoid Celia's eyes.
Otik saw what happened and was equally shocked at what happened as Celia and Niran were and walked over to Niran, "uhhh so how'v you been?"
Otik stood there for a moment and desided to catch up to Niran, and try to understand him better
He acts like a complete spotted owl and then is shocked when Celia rejects him
Otick shook his head and caught up to Niran, "If you don't mind me asking, what happened. To your family that is."
Otik continued walking "ahh, i see. My whole town was slautered by the nords from Skyrim. Every one, my friends, family, every one. took me a while, for at least a year or two I sayed in the town, But finnaly I decided it was time to move on and get a life. There is always the pain." Otik stopped as the memories started to come back, He still didn't know why he told Niran that story when he didn't even think about it to hiself. He shook his again, and continued walking.
"yeah The nords were part of a raiding party or something. What did you do to piss the empire off?"
"So what are you planing on doing? Revenge? overthrowing the empire? I'd try and help, just don't turn on us all"
(OOC:I don't know what i'm doing quite frankly)
"ok sorry" Otik then ran ahead jumped in a tree, and moments later he dropped down in the clearing. He then whiped himself off, looked back, and then jogged over to the group.
Niran didn't follow him.
Instead he leaned against a tree, and stayed silent.
"Where have you been?" he asked as Otik joined the group once again.
"dancing with death." Otik paused, seeing that nobody knew waht he was talking about he added "I was talking with Niran, I think I almost pissed him off. So waht do you need me to do?"
" ah I see," Megil shrugged " Well I'm not sure, just sit tight for a bit, until we decide what to do,"
"ok then, I will just jump into this tree. yell at me if you need me" and with that Otik lcimp the tree and moments later he was at the top
"right," Megil watched with a raised eyebrow. Otik liked trees it seemed.
OOC: MONKEY
Sel spotted Celia returning to camp, and judging by the lok on her face, Sel decided to give her some time alone. (OOC:
)
"So, Megil," he began. "How did everyone get on this island anyway? I know you didn't swim."
"Serene has a collection of levitation enchanted objects. so we flew over here," Megil replied.
"Honestly, I just want to leave this island - we've been here far too long. Look, the sun's already going down." he said, pointing at the horizon.
"We are wasting our time."
OOC: a newcomer is lurking around the RP....
A Dunmer was walking silently on the road to Balmora in the darkness of the night. He was tall, but not skinny. He wore a dark grey cloak, with a hood covering most of his face. His bow was strapped around his right should, and he had a quiver on his back, with a sheath for his shortblade. The moonlight barely illuminated the road, but the dunmer could see just fine. His silver shortsword glittered in the moonlight as he walked.
As he approached Balmora, he was stopped by a guard.
"Hey you! What are you doing out here this late at night?", the guard asked, having a quite sleepy expression on his face.
"Oh pardon me, sir. I am on my way to Shakur. I'm a hired bodyguard from the Fighter's Guild. I hope that is alright with you?", the dunmer replied politely and smiled.
The guard simply nodded and mumbled, "On your way then.", before continuing his patrols.
The dunmer took out a map from underneath his cloak, and watched it quickly. His put it back in, and proceeded towards Shakur's house. He walked up to the door, and knocked on it, and then proceeded to wait for an answer.
OOC: It's cool if you want to join, but two things.
1. Post your character in the characters thread. i'll go make a new one, seeing as the other was locked.
2. Might want to start somewhere else, seeing as Red isn't really in the RP to control SHakur.
Konrad was tired by now, and at last he decided to swim back to the island. On his way he was caught ina thunderstorm, and nearly drowned. He called out for help, his mouth filling with seawater. He was eventually washed up on the western beach of the island, close to death.
"Yes, sort of disturbing isn't it, sitting around and awaiting for something to happen, but you don't know what. "
he watched the sun setting,
"Two days we have been here, and not a moment of rest until now, it is very unnerving. The quiet before the storm"
He said watching his tempest shred at the seas, waiting for it to dissipate its energy.
(OOC:
1) I've already posted my char in the Characters thread, Rycarin Windwalker. Just haven't come to the place where I "introduce" myself yet.
2) Red is going to come back, as he told me to be his .. bodyguard.
3) Nothing more, but 3 is a lucky number, no?)
"Hmm yes, left overs from this morning's events. been raging out there most of the day.," Megil commented.
"Perhaps we should find some sort of shelter?" Niran looked at Megil.
"Or can you use your water control ability to sway the storm away?" He asked with a grin.
"Last time i created a storm, I couldn't control it. This one will probably be the same. Perhaps shelter is the better option." Megil replied, thinking back to the storm he started 13 years before.
Otik saw the storm aproching and jumped out of the tree, "hey a storms coming, and by the looks on your faces you already knew that. So have any I dea were to go? Back to the shrine?"
"The shrine would be the best idea." Sel said. "Besides, we need to get Serene so we can leave anyway."
"Well i'll come in and tell you when its over." Megil said. He stayed seated and felt the wind pick up.
"Yes I've always enjoyed the risk of watching storms. You can stay if you want but it is going to be a nasty one."
"Okay then."
Niran sat down and looked towards the sky.
"so no one is going in? Oh well I'll watch too."
Otik sat down and atarted watching the sky
"Fine by me, by the way has anyone seen konrad?" Megil said. half expecting Otik to climb the nearest tree.
"don't know haven't seen him sense.... before I fell alseep in the tree"
Megil shrugged, "We will look for him after the storm"
And then the rain started....
Niran stood up and walked to Celia, looking down as he reached her.
He stayed silent, standing beside her and then looking at the sky as it started to rain.
"Celia, I don't know about you but I'm not much for the rain. However, I sometimes find it soothing . . ." He then walked off, going down to the beach.
As he got there, he noticed a body.
"Konrad?"
He picked the young imperial up and ran up the beach to Celia, dropping the body on the ground.
"He doesn't look very well."
The dunmer still stood outside Shakur's door, after waiting a few hours. He had grown tired, and decided to head to the Fighter's Guild hall in Balmora. It wasn't really far away, it only took him a few minutes to get there.
He entered the guild hall, and just as he entered, a dunmer female looked at him curiously.
"Might I ask who you are, it is quite late for a midnight stroll, don't you think?", she asked.
"I am Rycarin Windwalker, member of the Fighter's Guild. I'm seeking a warm bed for the night.", he said, politely as ever.
"Of course, members of the Guild can stay anytime. And a Windwalker eh? Been quite a while since I've seen one. You look very much like your father.", the dunmer woman said and smiled. "The bedroom are that way.", she said and pointed towards a set of stairs leading downstairs.
"Thank you.", Rycarin said, and walked downstairs, to the bedroom. It was awfully late, and he was quite tired. He walked inside, and noticed that there already were someone lying on a few of the beds, sleeping soundly. Rycarin walked towards one of the empty beds and unequipped his equipment, and put his sword under his pillow, by habit. He lay down and closed his eyes, drifting into sleep not long after.
(Meanwhile)
"WHAT IN OBLIVION DO YOU MEAN BY THAT!?!?" shouted Jace belligerently at the hostess. "What I mean is you have no more money and frankly I think your a freeloader, so pay off your tab or I won't let you stay at the Eight Plates a single night more" replied the hostess calmly "and if you keep yelling like that I'll have to call the guards!"
"Hey I'm sorry, alright?" Jace apologized "But my party left me and I have no money and now nowhere to sleep! I've got a feeling I'm going to come on to a big job sometime soon and that means I can pay you!, just one night more then I'll loot some bandits or whatever tommarrow ok?"
"No deal" the Hostess declined "Your unreliable and now your a liar, get out of here and don't show your face until you have some septims in your pocket"
Jace got up off the bar stool and walked slowly out the door and into the rainy Balmora night.
Konrad lay silent in front of Celia, bleeding profusely from fish bites and being thrown on the rocks.
Celia had been ready to go inside to keep Serene company when Niran brought Konrad who seemed to be terribly injured. She immediately kneeled in front of the battered boy, and started healing. She muttered, "Of course, I can see that Konrad is hurt, Niran. What am I, blind?"
She continued warming up Konrad's body with her healing powers, stitching muscle tissue and closing large wounds. Once she finished, she stood up abruptly, avoiding Niran's eyes. "He's fine, now, so leave me alone," she blurted briskly, walking back into the shrine.
Niran turned around and continued watching the storm as Celia left, not sure of what response to give to what she had just said.
Leave you alone, allright fine.
"Damnit" Jace swore to himself as he walked about the plaza in front of the main gate to Balmora "I have to get money somewhere!" he thought to himself.
"No work, no money, no shelter, Jace you've hit rock bottom" whispered a strange cloaked individual.
"Who are you and how do you know my name!?" demanded Jace comepletly oblivious to the fact the man also knew he was also poor now.
"Who in Tamriel hasn't heard of the famous Jace Moonblade" chuckled the man obviously playing to Jace's ego.
"You make a good point", "Well, what do you want... Do you have a job!?" asked Jace eagerly septims in his eyes.
"Yes indeed I do, I have information on a 1 million septim bounty for my favorite hero" said the strange individual ever so slowly
"1 million septims!?!?! Who? Where!?" Jace cried happily
"On the head of a dangerous fugitive and a menace to Morrowind" smiled the cloaked man
"I could pay off all of my debts!, and then some!" Jace thought to himself widly "If I brought down this terrible indvidual not only would I be rich, I'd be hailed a hero and become famous!"
And with that he got the information he needed and ventured off to find the infamous outlaw and fugitive he heard so much from the strange man.
Megil, his hair sticking to his forehead, and his clothes heavy with rain walked up next to Niran,
"Give her time Niran."Watching Celia dissapear into the shrine.
The wind was picking up, whistling as it passed through the forest canopy. already smaller trees were bowing over. The rain had started to fall in sideways sheets. and the sky was lighting up with lightning.
"Maybe we should move konrad inside, or he might get sick."
Konrad mumbled a bit in his sleep about Mara, and Azura. Nothing relevant could be heard.
After 2 days of traversing across Vvardenfell toward Ald'Daedroth, his ultimate destination and and location of his new bounty head, Jace arrived intact but a little tired in what he considered "A spooky monster rock" otherwise known as Ald'Daedroth
"Oh wow... I'm actually here" Jace panted wiping the sweat and dust from his forehead "Now is my bounty head?"
He circled around the island and at last sighted his prey at last.
He recognised the red hair and (in his oppinion) almost malevolent appearince.
He stood atop a hill for a little dramatic flair then brandished his sword the Moonblade and yelled
"Megil Tel-Zeke prepare to die!"
Megil turned with Niran and looked down on the man standing dramatically on a boulder,
"Yes I suppose we do, doesn't look like much of a threat though."
He continued yelling "- YOU SHALL PAY FOR..... WHATEVER IT IS YOU HAVE DONE!"
And raced in a mad dash down the boulder, blade in hand, and let out a slash at his seemingly unimpressed oppenent.
Konrad woke slightly, glancing around dreary eyed and spying a fight. He croaked a battle cry and stumbled to a standing position, drawing his sword.
"This is great, I don't have a sword. My fists should do just fine for this opponent."
Megil stepped sideways letting his assailant fall past him into the mud.
"You would help me?" he turned to face Niran, a look of confusion and surprise on his face.
"Konrad, you can barely stand, and this is my battle, just sit tight 'kay."
Niran brought his boot to contact the assailants side, before stepping back and laughing.
"He's all yours." he said with a grin to Megil.
(OOC: Intestine Dude,
, Niran wears ebony boots.)
posting
as sel hit sasal at his helmet's back, it pearced his helmet and sasal dropped face first into the floor and layed there, left with thoughts in his head and a paralyzed body
feeling as though he struck his spine, sasal weaped as he layed on the floor paralyzed and loss grip of his blade and his shield
Jace sputtered pulling his face from the mud and yelled dramaticly "Villain!, you may think you have shamed me but it'll take more than a blow to my pride to make me fail!"
then rolled to his side and sprung up slashing at Megil wildly.
(OOC: Like I said, Jace can't help but play the hero
)
Megil grinned, this should be an interesting fight.
He leaped backwards onto the boulder, out of reach of the man's wild blows.
"Who are you anyways and what do you want from me?" Megil asked the stranger.
"I'm the one and only Jace Moonblade!" roared Jace in a reply "Does not my very name make you tremble!?!?, I have come to collect the bounty on your head and to add you to the my impressive list of those I have defeated!"
Konrad grinned a bit when he heard the man. "I have heard of you friend. My father was a great friend of yours." he told him, walking over to him. Well, stumbling.
Jace wheeled back from the man who had apparently known of him
"Yes even surly bandits such as you must have heard of my name!, whispered in the backs of bars in hushed fear, yelled through out the streets in joy from the citizen's of Morrowind, lovingly escaping the lips of beatiful maidens and damsels alike!"
Megil couldn't help but laugh. then jokingly pretended to tremble,
"Oh yes what a frightening name," he joked, " and my bounty you say? My news does travel fast."
Megil awaited the next move this moonblade would make. Megil had no short range weapon on him, and he couldn't use his bow in the rain.
OOC: sorry, will use posting rule. go ahead and edit your post int. chaos. i'll edit as fits.
Konrad got even closer. "No, friend. You knew him veyr well. Went by the name of Kizma azz!" he cried, thrusting his sword at the man's foot.
"Yes I belive I heard it from some cloaked man.... I don't belive I caught his name... No matter! Steel yourself vile...um.. VILLAIN!"
Jace lunged forward firmly planted his foot on the ground and did a spinning slash at his ,what appeared to be, trembling foe.
OOC: posting rule lol.
IC: Megil saw moonblade come spinning at him, he jumped backwards hoping to avoid the spinning blades. He landed on a muddy slope and nearly lost his balance, but staying standing Megil slid the rest of the way down t the bottom of the hill.
[Just stabbed your planted foot.]
The stab from the man with the odd named father entered into Jace's boot but was slowed down and did not completly enter Jace's foot because of the chain plating sewn inside the leather of his boot.
Stumbling a bit from just nearly being impaled in the foot, Jace ran to the side of the hill and slid down the muddy surface nearly falling over but making himself vulnerable while unbalanced.
Megil looked up to see Moonblade sliding down after him. He crouched down, his back to the sliding moonblade. When the man was almost on him, Megil sent out both his legs and caught the man in the gut, then using the man's inertia Megil lifted the man over him and threw him backwards into the sand. Megil quickly bounced back up and awaited his opponent to stand. he was only toying around with this man.
Jace whinced and and held his stomach painfully while lying upon the wet daedric stone. He stood back up and lifted his blade to his side "No more heroics" he thought to himself "Time to really fight"
He ran toward his target feeling a little shamed for being toyed with, did a duck roll to the right and while standing up from his roll did a quick spring jump to the left and slashed at the one called Megil.
Otik stood on his rock and tried to aim, but the wind and rain was messing with his skills. After shooting one arrow and completely missing, Otik ran over to Konrad. "Hey Konrad. because you and I are both useless in this battle lets get inside."
Ah so now he is going to really fight, hmm let's see i'll need some weapons, or will I.
Megil did a backhand stand to dodge the slash, but also to kick the sword out of moondblades hand.
Jace now being disarmed rolled to the right but he wasn't close enough to his blade to be able pick it up fast enough without taking a hit, so he did what he does best, he stalled.
"Say....." he said with a smile while slowly edging over to his sword "Just what did you do to get such an enourmous bounty on your head anyways?"
At that moment, Niran slammed into Jace, having followed him and Megil.
Pushing the man into the mud, Niran grabbed his sword and put it at Jace's throat.
"That was fun," he said, handing the sword to Megil and walking back.
OOC: grumble grumble.
Megil saw the man edging for his sword, seeing that Niran had got the sword, he simply responded to the question.
"Look around you, see the wreckage, I sank all the ships and the imperial soldiers aboard them."
Taking the sword he threw it out as far as he could, seeing it splash near the shoreline.
"Damn it all!" swore Jace flipping over to his side while whiping the mud from his face "You've bested me, but at least you could leave me with my life, you have showed more skill in combat than a life as a bandit could warrant."
OOC: not what I was expecting, go get your sword
.
IC:Megil was surprised.
was that all this bounty hunter had in him.
"Well that was enjoyable, hurry up if you want your sword back, the backcurrent is strong, and if you don't hurry it may be swept away, never to be found again." he said with a sinister smile.
Niran had crept down to the shore and swum a small bit out, though the waters were rough.
Diving down, he recovered the sword and sheathed. Then he swam back.
Now he had a sword at least.
(OOC: MWAHAHAHA!
)
Damn that Niran he ruined my plans, ah well he will jsut ahve to be involved now
Niran was launched skyward as a pillar of water threw him into the air. a thin tendril sprang out of the water and as if alive wrapped itself around the sword and peeled it fro Niran's grasp and sheath.
the tendril then came speeding towards Megil and moonblade only to stop directly in between them, Megil grasped the swords handle and said "Why thank you," the tendril returned to the water.
As for Niran the pillar slowly dropped down and set him down gently on the shore.
He held the sword by the blade, handle towards moonblade. "I believe this is yours"
"Listen" Jace said while standing up "I have fought bandits before, and you are no bandit. If you sank these ships then I would at least like to have a reason. A fighter of your caliber doesn't just kill for no reason, your skill is refined. I am done fighting because obviously I have been lied to... I'm not even sure if you truly have a bounty on your head, and if I'm not out too kill who I belive I'm out to kill then I do not wish to senslessly fight."
At that moment the Moonblade crackled with energy as the hilt combusted into blue flame.
(OOC: only Jace can wield the Moonblade. The fire is magic, its harmless but very painful.)
Niran's eyes were wide but his facial features turned from one of shock to annoyance.
He walked up to Megil, and kicked the Dunmer in the groin.
He then pulled an arrow from Megil's quiver and broke it in two, before throwing the pieces on the ground.
Then he walked away.
Jace accepeted the blade "You have fought with more honor than any outlaw I have come across. Just what is your real name and why did you sink these ships?"
OOC: had you let moonblade get it, it would have been him instead of you
IC: Megil collapsed in pain, when Niran kicked him, his face a grimace of pain and surprise.
Of all the....arg... he does the most cowardly move in the book, damn him
"Gwah...Damn him...that queer coward" was all he could say for several minutes,
He eventually was capable of standing up again though he was still grimacing in pain.
"So what were we talking about again. Ah yes, well my name is the same as the one given to you. now the reason for sinking the fleet. well they came searching for a fellow companion and swarmd the island with orc battlemages, dremora, and dragons. i tried to send them away in self defense, but they instead fled and tried to use my spell to sink the island. i turned it around and sank the ships." Megil replied, excluding mention of the sylphs.
(oops... damnit didn't mean to make that next post... ignore this)
"Obviously you are not a bad person" Jace smiled "I understand that perhaps I was sent here by a personal enemey of yours? None the less you have bested me in combat to an extent and thus I will gladly offer my services as a warrior to you and your party"
"Hmm well, we have no objections to you joining the group, just watch out for Niran. as you saw he is quite eomtionally unstable." Megil said, and headed back to the camp.
The storm was clearing up now.
Jace was both confused and disoriented at this strange turn of events and felt ashamed for making such a fool of himself. He sheathed his blade and followed Megil back to what looked like a camp.
After helping konrad into the shrine, Otik stepped out side and returned to his place at the camp.
"Oh um Hello" said Jace quietly as he stepped into the camp "I'm Jace Moonblade.... I have decided to join your group and help in any way I can"
"Say... umm.. Just what am I helping you do?"
Otik eyed Jace over, "Hey and you are helping us over-thow the empire and assasinate all of those that have done us wrong in the years and to remove all debts from our names" said Otik trying to keep a strait face.
Sel laughed as he watched the events unfold - Megil was now an experienced warrior, and this "moonblade" didn't seem to be the brightest fellow. An act? He shrugged because it didn't really matter.
He began walking into the shrine before he noticed Sasal lying on the ground. He didn't notice that he had actually hit the crazed dunmer...
"Come on in once you're ready to move." he said with a wink as he walked into the shrine to find Serene.
"!!!!!" Blasted though Jace's mind "Oh-ho-oh.... I seeee.." said Jace as he silently thought to himself he has taken up with a bunch of crazy people "I'm not sure If can do thaaaat"
"Saaaaay, your not messing with me by any chance because.... well... I don't really think I could help you with that all that well"
"Ah yes, and welcome to Hell" he said slapping Moonblade on the back, playing along, for now.
" Yes well ummm" Jace stuttered out obviously stalling while looking for good escape routes.
Niran walked into the shrine as well, covering his mouth as he coughed several times.
"Do watch out for the horde of mudcrabs on you way out," Megil said raising his eyebrows then let out a little laugh. "They will take over all of vvardenfell you know"he added in as madmanish(just amde up the word lol) of a voice as he could make.
He waited to see if Moonblade would figure out they were messing with his mind.
"You alright?" Sel asked Niran as he walked into the shrine coughing. "That cough doesn't sound too good."
"Well, I'll... uh I'll try" said Jace nervously but somewhat catching on.
"You know... something leads me to belive your not being completly serious about this"
Sel shrugged. "Suit yourself." he said before separating himself from Niran to go speak with one of the ashlanders.
He whispered something and handed the old dunmer a few septims, and the elderly ashlander presented Sel with a silver longsword.
Sel nodded his thanks to the man before thinking about what he had just done. Was it smart to give Niran any kind of weapon? Yes, he decided. He would rather be attacked outright, rather than the random punches Niran seemed to throw.
That way, Sel wouldn't feel bad about drawing a sword on him.
He walked over to Niran and held out the sword hilt to Niran. "Don't expect to get another." he said, waiting for Niran to take it.
"well you aren't as supid as that last guy that walked though here. Well i'm not to keen on letting you into the group as you just tried to kill one of uor memebrs but if Megil can forgive you enough well, I guess i can get used to it."
Otik stuck out his hand "welcome aboard"
Jace gladly accepeted the handshake "Hey, you don't have to worry about me" he replied finally realising he was being messed with "I was misled to belive you were all a bunch of bandits, and I was pretty poor at the time and needed the gold."
Then Jace stopped and thought for a few seconds
"Oh wait... I'm still poor....."
Niran nearly refused . . he definitely didn't want to be in debt to Sel.
Instead, he took hold of it, and swirled it about.
He handn't used a silver longsword for nearly a decade.
Niran grinned, ever since he busted into those Nord's house and had it taken from him.
"Thanks," he said searching around in his small bag for somethin in return. He pulled a random piece of paper out and handed it to Sel, not even paying attention to what it said.
(OOC: It was a love letter for Faili, he was going to visit her before all this happened..
Perhaps Sel would want to return it.)
"Not to worry, I think most of us here, don't have much money. but together we make due, so I wouldn't worry about money."
OOC: umm dunno lol, somehow i thought we were all in teh shrine. will edit
OOC: when did megil get inside to witness the giving of the sword?
Sel looked at the note out of curiosity. "What the hell is this?" he asked. "Who is Faili?"
Suddenly realizing what it was, he folded it up and handed it back to Niran. "I thought you were repaying me or something." he said with a laugh.
"yes we are all poor but i'm a good hunter, with the help of Hircine and Megil and I can cook so i think we get along alright. Oh and by the way, my name's Otik"
Niran's eyes widened and he grabbed the note from Sel, tearing it into several pieces and throwing it on the ground before smothering it with his muddy boots. Making it impossible to read.
"Shutup-don't tell anyone-" Niran was cut off by a fit of coughs, and he leaned against the wall of the ruin as he covered his mouth.
"It's very fine and well sitting here and chatting but shouldn't we be doing something?" Jace said anxiously "And just what is that?, I don't believe I was told earlier"
Sel raised an eyebrow at Niran's outburst.
Why the hell did he even give it to me? he asked himself.
When Niran went into a fit of coughing, Sel stood there, unsure of what to do.
"You said you were alright." he said. "I'll take your word for it." he added before walking off to find Serene.
Niran collapsed to a sitting position and took several deep breaths, before leaning his head back.
"Darn it . . ."
"Ah yes, well the task is to bring down a deranged mage who has some plans to do something that we aren't entirely sure what it is that he intends to do." Megil told moonblade, "And we were just getting ready to leave after the storm outside is over."
"I see, evil wizards is it? That reminds me of my brother.... though I don't think he's evil.... just really evil" said Jace "I'm willing to help
OOC: got to go! Bye!
Niran stood up and continued farther into the shrine, following Sel from even farther a distance.
Celia gently patted Serene's hand as she sat on the floor next to the Imperial woman. Serene had been sleeping for some time now, and Celia was starting to get worried. However, she tried to assure herself that perhaps Serene was simply exhausted. "Yes, that's it," she whispered as Serene continued sleeping.
Celia's ears picked up loud coughing coming from a distance and stood up. Sounds like someone's been in the rain for too long, she thought. Then she heard several footsteps approaching. Here comes the rest of them... Hopefully, Niran is less crazy...
Sel continued his path, and soon came upon Celia and Serene.
"Well hello." he greeted, but immediately quieted his voice as he noticed that Serene was still asleep. "Are you okay?" he asked Celia. He had been worried ever since he saw her storm back to camp...
OOC:Yay!!! New people...darn they're good guys...
York sat up, rubbing his throbbing head, the last thing he remembered was that he was sitting in a chair and drinking the captain's brandy. The pain in his head was either a hangover or when he fell asleep while leaning back in the chair.
He stood, and walked out on deck searching for his companions,
"I'll be happy when I get off this blasted ship..." York sighed and continued looking
Something is wrong we should've arrived by now... York thought as he continued searching for the others.
OOC:When are we gonna arrive?
as the rain seaped into his armor and soaked the bandages apon sasal body, he layed with his face down and said to sel as he walked away: "can you at least let my dragon go? id rather it die by nature than by some bandits and a bafoon of a warrior"
OOC: pretend this is before all my other posts....
Sel shrugged and released the dragon, honoring Sasal despite the fact that he called him a buffoon.
"I'll come back with a healer." he said as he walked into the shrine.
OOC: after my last post....
Sel looked at Celia. "Do you mind helping Sasal? He's dying outside - I honestly tried to miss him, and somehow, my sword got him."
Mage
Arcyakt had gone below decks to get a bit of sleep, and he awoke to see that land was nearby. In a matter of minutes, they were walking off the boat and into the small town of Seyda Neen.
Konrad was lain, unconscious again, behind the healers. He again mumbled something about Mara and Azura, but they were the only words decipherable.
York rushed downstairs to gather his belongings as the group stepped off the boat and into the small port village of Seyda Neen. He collected his belongings and said his goodbyes to the sailors before climbing back up the stairs.
Finally, off on an adventure...like in my younger days...
York ran down to catch up with Arcyact,
"How long are we gonna stay here?" York asked
Mage
"For as long as it takes to leave." Arcyakt replied as he walked through the town.
Rycarin opened his eyes. He was still in the Balmora Fighter's Guild. He stood up, and strapped on his equipment. Rycarin looked around, no one was in the bedroom anymore, as they had probably left to do missions. He walked out of the room, and up to the entrance. There, he met one of the Fighter's Guild members.
"Hi there, what time is it?", Rycarin asked and smiled. "Oh hello there, it's almost noon, why do you ask?", she said. "Oh, I'm leaving Balmora for the time being. Would you be so kind to leave a message to Shakur, and try to get in contact with me when he gets back? I'll be headed to Ebonheart." "Alright. Have a nice journey.", she said, and walked away.
Rycarin walked out the door, and looked up at the sky. It was cloudy, but he could take the siltstrider most of the way, and just walk a little bit. Deep inside, he was hoping to get some action, as the last few days had been utterly boring.
Rycarin walked up the stairs to the small Siltstrider platform, where he was met by a rather skinny rider. "Good day to you, where do you want to go?", he asked with his rugged voice, obviously used alot during the years. "I'll go to Vivec. Please.", Rycarin said and smiled. The rider simply nodded and showed Rycarin to the Siltstrider, as if he was blind. Rycarin sat down inside, and leant back, anticipating the bumpy ride.
Celia raised at Sel's strange (to her, at least) request. "I'm fine, and Serene's sleeping quite heavily lately, but I must ask if you're allright... Why in the world would you help an enemy...?" She paused and then sighed.
"I might as well ask myself why I bother healing ungrateful peoples all the time..." Her eyes glanced in Niran's and Konrad's direction as she said so.
Growling softly, she briskly (and quietly so as not to wake Serene) stalked annoyedly out of the room to the passage-way leading to outside.
As she got close to Sasal, she kneeled beside him. Several seconds of awkward silence went by before Celia spoke up. "Here is the plan: I heal you," she said sharply as she held out her hands, "and you leave us alone, m'kay? I have too much of a headache and not enough sleep to be a good girl right now, just so you are warned..."
Healing slowly, Celia concentrated as her head pounded mercilessly.
Sel had followed Celia outside, just to be there if Sasal tried anything.
He hadn't forgotten what he had tried to do to Celia, and had no idea why he felt the need to have Sasal healed. It was something he just couldn't explain.
OOC: Sel's going soft....AND I HAVE MY LICENSE!
Brief intermission at #200.
