Chorrol.com _ Skyrim _ First Skyrim Character

Posted by: Zalphon Sep 2 2011, 12:34 AM

What's everyone's first Skyrim Character going to be?

I'm personally debating Evangeline Amelion (from my fanfics) or a heavily-armored dark elf wizard (pure wizard, as in almost only magic skills)

My khajiit Aravi! She's a general fighter that can do a bit of everything.

I am debating between a Dunmer of some magical knowledge named Teran Ralis, and a recreation of Silver-Tongue my Argonian trained in the arts of stealth. Might lean him away from the Assassin this go around.

I usually start off as a Bosmer archer with a little illusion, who becomes a thief and sometimes assassin.

I always try to go with the native race for a first playthrough. In Morrowind that was the Dunmer Thief and Assassin, Dalos Golathyn. In Oblivion it was the Imperial Knight-Errant, Castus Artorius. I think Skyrim calls for a change in gender so I think I am toying with the idea of a Nord Ranger named Esta True-Flight.

Rowen my Imperial all-rounder is ready to go. I think she will easily share the clueless outsider feeling that will surely be a big part of my first venture into Skyrim. She was my first character through Oblivion, and it’s still fun to go back and play with her. Her willingness to adapt should work well for a first playthrough.

My first will be the grandson or great-grandson of my Knight Commander Robert McWylde. And either him or the generation before had been taken to Skyrim by two of my other characters, J'Drell the Argonian and Kelleryn (nephew of Modryn) Oreyn the Dark-Elf. Both of whom I'll be making and using on Skyrim at some point...

I'll be doing the Main Quest™ with J'Drell as he's (apparently, so he told me) helped rescue Uriel Septim the first time...Then he turned up in time to save Cyrodill with McWylde and now it turns out fate has him in Skyrim just in time to save the world again...On his own this time!!...

Booyah!! The time of J'Drell is now!!!...Well...Soon!!...-Ish!!...

Well, in every TES game I've played (all of them except Arena, Battlespire and Travels) I've started out with a Nord.

In Daggerfall I was a battlemage. Morrowind I went a Knight and in Oblivion I was a Crusader.

Since classes are removed, I can't choose a class. But, I'll still play like a Barbarian. smile.gif

My second characters have always been Dunmer. I see no reason to break tradition now. tongue.gif

My oblivion character will be moving into (returning I should say) to skyrim. His name is Skor Axehound and he will have his revenge!

Hardware-willing, it will be a local boy, yet-to-shave warrior that shares bloodline with a long dead (presumed dead?) half-Nord.

Dunmer, Male.

Specializing in Daggers, Bows, and Destruction magic, with Restoration, Alchemy, and Lockpicking, and Sneaking thrown in.

So you could say my major skills are: One Hand, Archery, Destruction, Restoration, Alchemy, Lockpick, and Sneak. 7 Skills, just like Oblivion. tongue.gif

Since he's on the side of good, I wouldn't call him an Assassin. Personally, I would go with Ranger.

Bouncing between two.

1) Bosmer, female. Sneaky, Archery alchemical destroyer in light armor

2) Khajiti, Female. Dagger wielding, fire casting, lock picking pad-foot who makes plenty use of restoration.

I've been playing so far with a sturdy dunmer who I suppose you could call a battlemage. Or I expect he eventually will be one. Relies heavily on destruction spells and war axes. A little bit of archery thrown in when hunting and stealth call for it.
