Dawnguard was just released on steam!
And it sounds like Bethesda's having problems with the PS3 version. http://www.bethblog.com/2012/08/02/dawnguard-ps3-update/
Yikes, the PS3 people get the snotty end of the stick again. They still have not gotten the 1.6 patch either if I recall, let alone the 1.7. Gee, I guess we know whose money Bethesda does not care about?
I cannot say I am really interested in it though. It does not seem to add anything that I care about.
I will go insane if Dawnguard doesn't come to the PS3. It truly is the best DLC next to Bloodmoon in my opinion and it would absolutely suck(no pun) if we didn't get it.
That's gotta be embarrassing.
Wolfie Perks added by DLC:
Beastial Strength - 4 Levels (+25% damage each level)
Totem of Ice Brothers - Howl that summons Ice Wolves
Totem of the Moon - Howl that summons Werewolves
Totem of the Predator - Werewolf totem of the hunt howl has extended range, and shows whether the targets are not in combat, searching, or actively in combat.
Totem of Terror - Howl of terror affects even higher level creatures
Animal Vigor - 100 point bonus to health and stamina in beast form
Gorging - Feeding helas 2x health
Savage Feeding - Able to feed off most dead creatures. Feeding off creatures instead of people only provides half the extended time.
I've had Dawnguard on Xbox for over a month now (thereabouts) and finally I'm going to see what it's about. My spellsword dark elf, who has mostly been a shiftless adventurer, has decided to finally take up interest in the "fort outside Riften".
I'm psyched!
mALX: I heard there's supposed to be a
On the PS3 issues: I recently got into a tiff with some folks over at Bethsoft. It got kinda bad, and the staff censored up the entire discussion.
My opinion is Bethesda is doing the best they can, with what they have to work with. I don't think they're being lazy; it seems more like they're being safe. They don't want to push that system as much, because it's the one that suffers the most glitch-wise.
One thing, though. I'm betting that TES: VI will not be on PS3 (assuming PS4 is not out yet). It's just too much of a headache for them. If PS4 does get to market by that time, I would hope Bethesda takes the time not to do a port from Xbox.
