Behold http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a434102/skyrim-premium-edition-outed-by-amazon-releasing-december.html...
Well, as we're still waiting on the PS3 for the DLC, then maybe Bethesda's holding out until this is out, hoping we're all going to flock and buy it...
As we here at chez-Robert are still umming and ahhhing about Dawnguard at all...Not for any previously expressed opinions on vampires (the wife and daughter aren't ars*d either way) but simply that as we're all high level characters these are the ones that seem to fall foul of the glitch where the vamp attacks continue even if you complete the questline...So you wind up with ghost towns...Um...Oh yeah, we're not sure about this with the characters we've got, and none of us are up for abandoning them just to start all over again...So you see, that may be one reason to not get it...
Ach, I rambled...
Je suis desole...
Damned out of practice...
Aaaamywho, if it's cheap enough, it might just be worth it for the novel...Otherwise...*Shrug*...
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the news about the Premium edition. It offers nothing new, not even the DLC that they have refused to release on PS3. It is such an obvious cash grab.
Hearing the Ca-ching's already, aren't ya, Bethe$da?
Yeah, not really interested. Might have been, but I already have the game, not going to shell out more for the extras.
When I need a new copy I will be very interested. This edition does not have the DLC that I don’t want. I played Oblivion with Knights of the Nine (Anvil chapel trashed, prophet yelling) for a long time before I found it without the DLC. I’d hate to see that happen with my Skyrim games. So I hope they make a lot of Premium Editions!
Sadly it does not work that way on the PS3.
There's gotta be a way to uninstall it... I did that on my Xbox before I got into PC.
I’m told you can delete and later re-download individual add-ons, but not when they come all together. My Oblivion game data just shows Oblivion, the add-ons are not separate. Unless I’m missing something? It was just one disc when I bought it.
Oblivion and KotN are on the same disc for consoles, and I think it's impossible to seperate one from the other. SI is on a different disc, and I imagine it's possible to un-install this but still have OB and KotN still going.
The only option would be to somehow get a pre-KotN disc and install that version. Good luck with that!
Wow, that is weird. I wonder why they don't give you the option of choosing what plugins you want to use? I guess that would fall under the heading of customer support, something Bethesda desperately wants to avoid ever doing for all PS3 users.
Nope SI is on the same GOTY disc as Oblivion and KOTN for the PS3...So no, you can't have one without the others...
The only option for a pretty Anvil chapel is to actually do the KOTN quest...
...
MUAHAHAHAAA!!...
...
Some walk in the light, others have to be dragged into it!
I thought KotN was kind of boring. Played it once and then never felt the need to do it again.
The more I'm involved with RP in TES, the more I find I can play a good character, an evil one, or someone in between. I'm all about diversity. Therefore, I'm just as apt to enjoy KotN as I am the TG or DB questlines.
In Skyrim, I am just as apt to enjoy being a vampire during the DG questlines as a vampire hunter.
It's weird that PS3 only uses 1 disc. I wonder why the Xbox requires 2.
