Tread, lol, Milanius. Anyway, I am elated, because....... I don't have any homework/projects! Woohoo! It's the second week of the school year and three different classes wanted us to write an essay/make a pop-up book on safety procedures (This is jr. high not second grade!) And lastly, we had to make a personal mandala on the "sun and shadow" parts of our personalities (I hate having to go introverted and write it down). All of this was in the same week, and school just started. BTW, they had boy/girl orientations today (dress code, rules, sport ettiqutte, how not to interact with students of the opposite gender, etc.) most of this stuff we've already heard over the announcements, and it's not the first week anymore, a little late isn't it? ------- Now, can I ask for someone to critique my last update in Revan made last week (or so). If it wasn't interesting than tell me so I know to work more on the next (hasn't even started yet, I depend on you guys for love and support, lol).

My week: Monday, I was going to go snowboarding with my cousin but it was too windy, and the summit was closed. Instead I went back to sleep (decision was made in the morning). Then aside from listening to classical music and making cookies I went to a Buddhist meeting, which was cool, we have the SGI (Mahayana) regulars (like me), then a couple of zen dudes and this time a muslim, he was coming to find out more about other faiths.
Tuesday: I was going to go wine tasting with my friend to teach her about good wine, but it was too cold so she suggested a chocolate pudding night instead, which was a much better idea, I did bring a bottle of wine. We watched Sin city on her laptop while sitting on her bed and it was raining and hailing outside and I had to walk home in it. I was glad I brought my expensive snowboarding jacket as it did hail on me.
Wednesday disappeared.
Thursday I took one of my friends/acquintances snowboarding. It was lots of fun, right after a 30cm dump so the snow was great, it was suprisingly busy though, especially for a Thursday. I taught her to snowboard in exchange for $20 worth of beer, I think she may have bought me more than $20 though, which was nice. She learnt how to go fast very quickly but still needs to practice going slow, she had loads of fun and is addicted now. She also got a couple of photos of me which she will get to me sometime, and I took a bunch of photos from the summit and I made a video while holding onto the camera and snowboarding down, I doubt it would have turned out well though, because of the vibrating of the board and the resolution may not be high enough to see anything.
Friday followed Thursday. Made more cookies, this time with cinnamon which made them taste less doughy and so they were very nice. Drunk a couple of bottles of beer and caught up with a couple of close friends who I hadn't seen for a few days over msn. I really forgot it was a Friday so I didn't go out.
Saturday (today). Got up, showered, had breakfast, went on computer, here, soon going out for training to work on a special World Vision (whom I volunteer with) project.

I...would never dream of making fun of your writing! After all we europeans, non-native english speaking, must sort of stick together, huh? Gosh I remember I at a time wrote something really funny in my story...I was going to let someone, maybe Serene, long for greener pastures, but instead I wrote "greener pastries" You bet there was laughter throughout the community...but just one made a very sweet and polite remark ...oh aye...I still laugh at myself when thinking of it!

QUOTE(Dantrag @ Sep 9 2007, 05:16 AM) I think the lack of thousands of active members is what makes this place so great. It's like a dysfunctional little family here.
Speaking of dysfunctional families... I just can't convince my relatives I am not about to starve to death. With my old folks gone for a week now, with the prospect of 7-10 more days away in the country, I am being bombarded by daily calls from my aunts, with one single question: "Do you have enough food to eat??" . After a while I get used to it, but I still get angry when one of them, whom I *have* to visit [after all, she's good people, although she tends to be pushy], overloads me with stuffed peppers, tomatoes, several kilos of fruits, the works. And I can't say NO. Now I am seriously worried some of that food might get rotten in 4-5 days, since my stomach can only stomach so much food per day. I wish I could be more active here than I have been in the last months- I feel a certain responsibility to the other writers (and to my readers). But various R.L. circumstances have rather painted us into a corner, such that I must work 6 days a week.... I love the teaching that I am doing now, but, since I want to do it right, my "spare" time is taken up with reading, researching, and preparing lecture notes.
I much prefer our unique (O.K.- "dysfunctional" probably is the better word) little family here, as well. I do drop by several times a day, even if I rarely say anything. And, as some of you know, I always respond to P.M.s or email if ever there is something someone wants me to read/ respond to directly.
Now back to Anne Bradstreet and Mary Rowlandson....

Revie and Mallie!I have to agree with Mallie, there are quite a few new writers, and also some newer RP-ers, and good ones as well! I enjoy every story, I read them all but I confess I might be a bad commenter....but rest assure..I do read! DannyYou´re so right old friend! This place is a nice somewhat intimate community...but the funny thing is, you and me have been here since this place started, and we have been pretty active all the time! . Now that makes both of us a tad special...don´t you think? Of course we mustn´t forget Wolfie and Soulseeker! They´ve been here long as well...and Milanius!, and treydog Milaniushe..you just have to eat...and eat! You might wanna put some things in the freezer....but I think you´ll need to eat like....h*** treydogI know...I, too have a RL that tampers with my ability to be as active as I want to be, besides I´m still struggling with my writing....gah! StargieOh what a wonderful sound of a running washing-machine! Sorry mate, couldn´t resist, ´cause my wm has been working the whole weekend
