Things are only futile when I say they are! cool.gif I had to do a bunch of lunges yesterday, and my thighs were almost normal afterward...... until I woke up this morning. I've had to carefully ease myself into chairs and walk like a man twenty times my age, sheesh. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(Zarrexaij @ Sep 20 2007, 12:18 AM) *

I recruited one of the dudes from my CIS class into my DnD group. ASSIMILATE! Ahahahahaha!

Another bloody rogue... sheesh. Paladin would've been be a nice change of pace. Oh well, I'll remember them well once we get owned by clerics of DUUM.

It became very cold last night. It is cold now. My feet are freezing, and I am considering taking 1 more pair of socks.

ARCANUM is treating me like a cheap hooker with AIDS at times. Today I got a LOAD ERROR: FILES CORRUPT and my game just went... insane. I ended up naked, outside the world map. I was so relieved when I restarted the game and saw savegames intact. Bloody RPG's, always come with bugs included.

On a more humorous note, my folks made their own lives miserable and I was woken up this morning by yelling and quarrel. I was nuts for 3 weeks, no one to talk to, and now the same old **** starts all over again. When I'm not worried to my [future] ulcer for their health, I'm stressed out by my father's constant problems with me, mom, entire world. Whoopie.

Anyway, I'm off to do some 30-60 more minutes of quality escapism. Good night folks, may you all [but especially Zarrexaij] have a nice, tranquil day tomorrow.

roflmao

A padalin wouldn't last very long in this campaign. This is just a little bit like Ravenloft. A little bit.

My day was pretty good, I guess. Lots of LULZ. And tomorrow I have an academic team meeting!

Not much homework tonight. Just some editting crap. *sigh*

I know you'all aren't talking about Oblivion, but Cain has made a mod for Oblivion that is an Orc boxer = he uses nothing but his fists, no armor+no weapon, and punches out guards right and left. The only problem with downloading one of Cain's saved game mods is that all the guards in Vvardenfell have a price on your head ... no dead or alive; just DEAD = because of all the guards he attacks when trying out his weapons n enchantments. So I get the new mods fresh off the CD disk he makes and create my own 'virginal chickensh1t characters who don't kill guards".

He is right now making a mod that involves noble personas playing what he's calling "Royal Golf" but it involves 'sleeping tight 4ever' so he's up to some new devilry over there. *Can't wait to download .. laugh.gif

Epic Win.

I had a moderately decent day today, watched some tennis in between insane sessions of ARCANUM. I'm already Lv18 and soon I'll be able to make a Tesla Rod [in theory - in practice, I can't find a bloody Normal Staff now, since I ditched the last one at the starting village  ].

We're going to do some heavy duty worm tomorrow morning. I am already way overdue to sleep. >_<

If so many guys at school have crushes on me, why haven't any of them asked me out?

Well, that's a sudden (and I'm guessing welcome) change of pace, Zar. Some of the girls at the school party tonight kept greeting me as I walked past them from the gym to the cafateria (the same ones did this last year). But I don't ever stop to talk to them even though I'm pretty sure they want me to.

I'm one of the wierd guys that for reasons that other people can't explain hasn't ever dated a girl ,and refuses to until High School (and even then only if I find one I genuinely like, not just a pretty one).

My experience (from mumble-mumble years ago) is that most high school guys are quivering puddles of insecurity. They have trouble talking to females (alien creatures, after all) esp. if they like them.

Find someone who makes you laugh and makes you feel good about being you. Those are the things that matter and that will last.

Add the fact that there were only 3 girls in my HS classes, throughout the entire 4 years of electrotech, and you'll get the picture of just how lonely it was. But **** highschool and entire 90's, in any case.

We finished that tomato juice/sauce/whatever. Only did 7 bottles of it, but it'll be enough for winter. Now, back to tennis, Arcanum and loneliness.

When I started teaching my new American Lit. I class, I didn't get the textbook until the first night of class. So I have been kind of winging it, trying to read just a little ahead of the students so as to have something useful to talk about. Mostly been doing the explorers, the Puritans, etc. It bothered me that I did not remember much about these writers from the class I took in my university days.... I worried that my dachshund memory was slipping a few cogs....

Anyway, I dug my old class notes out (yes, I am an uber-geek- I saved notes from some of my Lit. classes)--- and discovered that the professor had skipped the Puritans, the entire 18th century, and jumped right to Hawthorne and Melville. In other words, I am reading most of what I have been teaching for the first time, myself.

In other English news, I plan to discuss "Our Friend, the Comma" with my writing class. I am sure a grand time will be had by all....

Worm?? I like worms .. at least I did before swedish meatballs, kott .. , hmm ... forget the name! How am I ever gonna order more??

Trey, maybe your teaching will have the fresh edge they can relate to since you are learning the material fresh yourself.

Zarr - hs guys are very insecure. That was my experience and I dated alot. Alot of different guys cause I never went steady and didn't put out .. tehehe (dating myself with that terminology.) Anyway, the best way to set them at ease is to be interested in their activities and let them tell you about it. How many times did I hear about shotput and track and oh, I really liked hearing about the highjump bar. You can tell I dated mostly jocks. laugh.gif

Huh?

And Ibis: work. Yes, I made a funny typo again, silly me.. If I did worms, now that would be... awkward. Not to mention disgusting.

In other news, Tesla Rod is REALLY underpowered and hard to use devilsad.gif
[for now?]

Ohohoh!! Got ya in a typo, I did, aye? I usually do that to Pisces just to be mean. What I really thought that worm was some sort of computer terminology like snaking a circuit (I obviously have no idea what I am trying to talk about ...) but it did make me hungry!! So much for hanging around with birds, huh?

Lord Revan - *short pause* I do believe that the whole discussion about hs boys being shy was a direct result of Zarr's reply to your statement that you are waiting until hs to date (which I think is exemplary btw ... nice that you can see clear like that and not be overcome by angst, hormones or following the crowd philosophy)

Hullo everybody, Tellie is officially back in buisness, trying to be shinin as always (sorry if I seem a bit hyper and in a good mood right now, got promoted on my job a few days ago). Anyways the last months I've been absent I've been either sick, or when I was healthy I was completely bogged down beacuse of RL...(thank the maker for coffe, I'd never have been able to survavie the last months without it)

Hah....yes I understand you perfectly. Getting a boy to go with you on shopping is more diffucult than getting a drivers license I'd say (before someone ask yes I did flunk my examination...TWICE :emberassed: )

So have cake.gifcake.gif everyone...oh an coffe of course biggrin.gif
