QUOTE(Alexander @ Jan 22 2008, 04:01 PM) I'm pretty happy, I finished the first draft of my story. I figure about 90% of my work is done now, I do want to make a few adjustments and rewrite small bits before it goes up on the forums and such, but I've no doubt that will be easy. Feels good though, so far every story I started working on, I did not finish, but now finally a finished tale. Yay! I can't wait til it gets up on the forums! Well done dear Alex! QUOTE(canis216 @ Jan 24 2008, 09:44 PM) I'm on a roll! Been rejected for two jobs today and I haven't even eaten lunch yet!
Awww, poor Canis, I'm so sorry for you. I'll give you a big hug to make you feel better!

Ehh, hey. It's just me here. I'd be thankful if someone could help me with this question of mine.
Well, it's a rather silly story, but namely, I forgot how a chat program I used to use was called. I can't remember no matter how hard I try... I'm sure it was popular. So, I'd be thankful if someone could lsit me several popular chat programs. Im pretty sure I would remember it upon hearing the name.
Thanks in advance...

QUOTE It's very important to know what to say. For example, one time I was staying at a hotel, and a dog in the room next to mine started barking at 5 AM... I walked out, opened my mouth, and realized I didn't know what to say. So I just proclaimed 'I've killed before!'

Well, I have officially sold out.
That is. I now have my own XBox 360, and the GOTY edition of Oblivion.
Now, I don't expect most folks to know that I have had my grumblings with ES4, but I have. I have loved morrowind to the point that I have written my own Fan Fic about my main character on that installment on the series.
But here is the thing. After playing Morrowind for the last two or three years straight, and dabbling here and there in Oblivion at my brothers, I think I am starting to like Oblivion a bit more.
Granted the two have nothing to do with one another, but the truth is Oblivion is simply different. Any and all negative perceptions of it are carried with the player. What I love most about the series is a good dungeon crawl with my assassin, and here are the points I enjoy more in OB then Morrowind:
1.) While alot of the dungeons are look-alikes in OB, the loot is 100x better,. Morrowinds was like: Fortify willpower 1-10 points for 5 seconds. I mean really, who would use that? The only thing Willpower was good for in Morrowind was an increased chance for resisting magic, and the sin the time you used that, you could cast a fireball of doomzors@!@
2.)The stealth system is much more inuitive. That is you have walk slowly under a certain skill level, and light actually affects your stealthiness. My only real grumble is that they made it too easy to level it up. Whereas with Morrow, it was nearly impossible to level up sneak under 50, then it just got ridiculously easy to level it.
3.) Poison for my assassin! Yes now I can create those poisons and bring someone down before they reach me! Besides. Poison...for my assassin! No?.....fine...
4.) Hoods! For my assassin looks soooo much more badass then just netch leather cuirass.
Granted most of these points are just superficial, I regradless seem to enjoy them nonetheless, and have come to terms with Beth's job with OB, and have decided to enjoy what I can out of it until VI comes out. IF it comes out.
Besides, this means I will probably have a Fan Fic for OB, for my two or three fans out there.
Who will it be? I aint tellin'....in this sentence.
My next Fan Fic will not feature Sethyas, but the Breton Assassin (What else did you think?) Astor Devereaux, the most interesting character that has survived my manic delete + create 300 characters.
Also, don't expect Sethyas' honor in this guy, he's more: "Murder,...with a touch of class."

Well, its not an IMMEDIATE material thats going to be written. I still have a lot of character development to delve into. I mean one of my problems with OB is the fact that the main storyline's moral compass is far too rigid. At least with Morrowind, you could still save the world for selfish or evil reasons.
I mean Vivec is the real "Bad Guy", though very well disguised. Hell, there are subtle aspects to the Game Im STILL picking up on. Thats why I like these series, because they are literally alternate worlds I can delve into. I am NOT a gamer, I dont like D&D. Therefore my interest into these genre's are very strange.
Sure I like some video games, and play them a little bit. Mass Effect was actually pretty cool. I was an 'Infiltrator' actually, a futuristic assassin, if people understand the blending of Engineer and Soldier to be the blending of Warrior and Thief archetypes.
But most of all I play these games because they can hold my interest more then any others I play.

Pits of despair can be only so deep, Canis. If nothing, go back home, drink some wine or anything that gives you pleasure, eat some chocolate, watch a good movie. Really, just enjoy a moment or two. I learned the hard way how valuable good moments in life are and how good and worthwhile even a cheap laugh is. Life is easy on me. Most of the time.
