QUOTE(milanius @ Jul 4 2009, 01:55 PM) IIRC, we were both born on the same day, eh NTQ? Welcome back. Yep, we share our most unfortunate day. Good to see you again. Did you change your MSN address, or do you just not go on much any more? QUOTE(stargelman @ Jul 4 2009, 02:43 PM) Oh, I remember you, NTK. I remember you. Is that your face for "Oh God, and JUST when I'd thought I'd gotten rid of him for good?"

The latter, combined with not getting Trillian back after getting new PC. Right now I can't even remember all of my accounts or passwords for anything.

Well I'm back. (Wierd smilies and all). Essentially I moved flat and my ISP wouldn't pull the finger and move the connection over for over two weeks so I was stuck offline, except for when I was visiting parents where my setup is dreadful. I got bored with this five days ago and took myself off up North on my bike for an impromptu cycling holiday. As it turns out the bivvy bag I took leaks horrifically and this being scotland... well I used hostels instead. Much comfier anyway. It was a good five days too, I've seen a lot of hills: pyrenees, alps, himalayas, snowdonia but I still think Scotland has some of the best. Glen Coe down into Ranoch Moor is just fabulous. There might be some pictures, but not tonight as I cycled over 200km (120 miles) today and am rather tired. Anyway it's good to be back online, I'll try to catch up with everyting I missed tomorrow.

So, I'm in England now. Have my job interview tomorrow, hopefully I shall find myself gainfully employed. Otherwise much shall be the suckage.

QUOTE Anyway it's good to be back online It *was* good to be back online. Looks like I have a job for the next two or three weeks which will most likely involve living away from an internet connection. Not exactly sure when I'm likely to start but soon (next couple of days probably) so that's me afk again... Not sure how I feel about it, I'd planned that I wouldn't need to work this summer and the holiday would have been nice, but equally it will pay towards going somewhere in August. Just thought I'd explain my repeated disappearances, if any of my RP characters need to do anything feel free to control them.

Bought myself an SKS about a week ago and got to shoot it today, loving this beautiful rifle. I own several rifles I use for target practice, hunting, and of course home defense. I love collecting weapons, its something that has always interested me since as far as I can remeber, anyone else keep any firearms around?
Lots of people think they're dangerous, can't say I disagree with them but as long as people are careful with them and keep them out of the hands of criminals, I think they can be pretty fun.

All I have is a battered Linder-Solingen lockback tanto, my trusty ol' homemade oak baseball bat and 1/2 bottle of liquid courage (ouzo). I think I'm well-equipped.

Well right now I have a British 303 dated 1944, an old 7.62 Russian from 1943, a Chinese SKS and a Raven mp25. That last one is probably one of the worst handguns ever made but its one of my favorite ones as well...dunno why.
Anyways I mostly collect older rifles and such, love WWII era weapons, hoping to expand my collection sooner or later.

QUOTE(Burnt Sierra @ Jul 17 2009, 02:50 PM) Yo, Wolfie! How did it go?
Have a job, but have to wait for there to actually be work available, in which case they'll call me up and, from what I've gathered, say something like "We have work available doing <work> for the next X weeks. Want it?" So far, I have not received such a call, so there is much sitting around my aunt's house doing nothing all day XD

Dang to think you mall had a discusion about guns and I wasn't around. I love the SKS my dad and I have. Sometime I'd like to put synthetic furniture on one. Of the few guns that are "mine" my favorite is a Remington 870 Express; it put me into my enduring love affair with pump-action shotguns. Second to the Remington is my SIG P226 .40 caliber, which has never jammed in the thousands of rounds I've put through it. Aside from the SKS, my favorite rifle right now, I perfer my shotgun and pistol to Dad's stuff. Think what you want of George Bush, but that man broke down walls to let Texans carry concealed handguns for self-defense. I'm glad my family moved there, otherwise I'd probably never realized how fun shooting is. Did I mention I my pump? It's so versatile in what you can put through the smoothbore, like the Swiss army knife of firearms. So yeah, I like the Second Amendment. My first shotgun! (The youth model, no less. Need to upgrade that to 'adult' status, now that you remind me) and yes, 2nd Amendment ftw.
