Thanks Revvie, I've missed you and your reviews, hopefully you'll continue writing stories yourself. See you in the RP section at least.

QUOTE(TheOtherRick @ Feb 12 2011, 09:49 AM) Ah yes...the Saturday morning head...to paraphrase Olfand, "...Please excuse me. I had a little drink-up last night. Still a little muzzy..."
I'm muzzy too, but without the benefit of the fun night before. I blame mine on dogs that partied last night till the wee hours and kept me awake with their racket - then got up early this morning for a little (hair of the dog). It starts like this: A neighbor lets their dog out to roam about. (BFE, this is what happens here). My dogs feel an urgent need to go out and defend their territory from these marauders. (Or just brag about how many bones they got today). Mine have to be seperated because the female is in heat - so only one dog is let out to bark it up with his buddies. The one left inside has to shout their encouragement to the lucky one who gets to party. My female puppy is turning into a barkaholic...and she is a LOUD drunk.

Gotta love a big dog. So Saturday I dragged Grits the Youngers out to a dairy farm to visit the baby goats. This required a long trek to break free of our suburban enclave. IPods were approved for the first part of the journey, then I expected human contact from the Youngers once there was something interesting to look at out the window. Like Oreo cows and a cinderblock building that is both a game room and a bait shop. A brick ranch-style house that offers hair styling and taxidermy is another favorite. Anyway, here’s how it went: “All right, we’re out of the city now. I suggest you quit playing your games and take in the rural sights,” says Grits. “What are rural sites?” asks Grits the Youngest. “Country. Rural means we’re in the country, take a look at the country sights.” “I can’t.” She’s getting frustrated. “What? Why?! Just look around!” I would gesture, but I need both hands to keep the wagon on this bumpy road. Now she’s really ticked off. “I can't because I don’t have an internet connection!!” D’oh! Kids these days.

I had to laugh at the shops. Reminded me of a place of business in the small hamlet of Smokerise, AL. They offer videos, tanning beds, and pizza. They even deliver! ( I am assuming that pizza is all they deliver, not tanning beds ) The "no internet connection" comment is priceless!

I guess Li'l Grits needs a refresher on that bamboozling technology known as "windows?" And not that Windows, windows, as in the strange transparent thingamajigs you can see the scenery through in your car.

Hmm I hope that goes for me too? QUOTE(TheOtherRick @ Feb 13 2011, 04:40 PM) Is there a cat whisperer out there that can explain the concept of "sleeping in on Sunday" to my cats?
hehe I could give it a try! My furballs know when it's sleeping time....sort of The scandinavian (Swedish) winter has been and still is....severe! The snow started to fall in late November and we've had that white stuff ever since! It's still cold even though we've had some days with temperatures over 0 celsius. The thich snow layer did not melt very much, and there have been refills. Nope my cats refuse to go outside, no way they'll step out into the great white. We've had another re-organization at work so now everything is upside down, before it all settles and we could have some peace. I'm sick and tired of re-organizations, blahhh

I would say that I agree with you Minque...fortunately I've missed the dreadful scandinavian winter for the most part (I've been at sea the last four months) Still now that I've returned home I spend most of my days wrapped in a thick blanket a few feet away from the oven where I have a continous campfire going on Well that's me signing off, havesome updates to finish.
