Since New Vegas has been patched, had some balancing done, and been patched some more I'm playing through it again. I gotta say its alot better than it was and they worked hard to correct most of the issues the game had upon release.

Fable 3 is crap. If you played and liked any of the other Fable games then you will almost definately hate Fable 3. There are only a few expressions this time around, less customization, no menus, AI actually got worse, and "stores" only have one or two items inside. There is no inventory system or menus, many spells have now been replaced with potions that can only be used inside combat, food as well. I didn't even play an hour in before I quit and vowed never to play it again, for me the game was impossible to enjoy and I honestly believe that this game represents everything thats wrong with the modern RPG.
Its been simplified to the point where I actually believe that a five year old could effectively play through it. The game plays like it was designed with a mental handicap in mind and I really, really hate it. I wouldn't exactly call the first or second Fable game deep roleplaying games but Fable 3 is about as shallow as you can get and doesn't pass for even a second class RPG. Thankfully I followed my insticts on this and only rented it.

QUOTE(Thomas Kaira @ Feb 15 2011, 01:44 PM) I've been spending a good deal of time lately playing the latest sequel full-price expansion pack Halo: Reach. I'm having fun, but I don't think the game was worth $60.00 (American).
Reach an expansion? Most people equate that with ODST (not me mind you, but most).

It's a growing trend in modern online FPSs. You take a solid game (Halo 3, in this case) add a couple new weapons, a couple new features, pretty things up a bit and call it a new game. ODST did that, and so did Reach (and so did New Vegas, as well). If you ask me, the time is soon coming where people are going to try with getting away with re-releasing the exact same game in a different wrapper soon... wait... what's that CoD? You're already doing that? See CoD4 v. WaW, MW2 v. Black Ops. I remember a time when trying to do this got you punished by the consumers, remember the old Tomb Raider series? How stupidly easy to satisfy do people think we are? I've already jumped ship with CoD, and now I'm going to do so with Halo now that Microsoft is blatantly milking their beloved franchise. Many major game developers have been getting lazy over the end of Decade 2000. I'm really hoping they get a nice wake up call now that we're in a fresh new decade. I'm playing Sorority Life on Facebook right now... I'm borderline obsessed with it. I love the outfits and the accessory combinations and of course all the people I play with. QUOTE Fable 3 is crap. Thankfully I followed my insticts on this and only rented it. I liked the second one way better than the third. I was really disappointed in the lack of expressions. I mean, its nice that your character can talk now, but I would rather be able to pick what expression I wanted. I really felt that they were milking the touch aspect, especially the hand holding. It was appropriate in maybe two of the quests that I can think of.

Well, I've decided to fish out and give some time to an old classic I've owned for quite some time now: Age of Mythology. After Age of Empires 2, this game is the crown jewel of Ensemble Studios' RTS library. It is extraordinarily entertaining, the multiplayer gives it a lot of lasting replayability... and best of all, they included the SDK. In fact, the modding community for the game is still pretty active!PS: Acadian, if you're reading this and you have a copy of AoM, you need to check out this campaign. Trust me, it's worth it! AoE2 and AoM!!!!! AoE2 is my favorite RTS!!! I know I have AoE2 around here somewhere and I bet I could find AoM if I looked hard enough.

Ive been playing a lot of dead rising 2 recently. Got to say, the handy chipper is the most gory, messy, brutal weapon ever! ive also been playing a lot of halo reach, since I got the limited edition when it came out and hardly ever played it.

That looks twistedly fun! And has a good eye for physics at the same time. I have taken Fallout 3 out for another spin. This time I am trying my hand at a Shojo, a slightly animeized child race. Nyx is just adorable in her pink dress. But she can kill supermutants with the best of them. The only thing that puzzles her is that protectron floating in the air above Big Town, which she has affectionately named Baar Dau. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Mar 26 2011, 03:15 AM

When I first opened the link I hadn't read that this was for Fallout - LOL at the "Robco" shirt till I figured it out. I would really like to see child races in a TES mod - minus the cleavage. I can make a character smaller, but finding flat chested clothing is hard to do.
