I'm thinking doggie diapers- supersized ones. Just saying. ROFL!! Or perhaps some seat covers for the SUV...? Today was a work day for me...but it was a light duty day and the work portion is over now. Removed 4 cu. yds. of junk from a client's basement and took it to the dump. Yes, the dump IS open on President's Day...

And don't forget one of those neat pine trees hanging off the rearview mirror... ...or twelve. Perhaps its time to look into a re-upholstery?

Nothing wrong with using car seats outside of their natural habitat. To clean the seats if they're still nasty I'd approch the cloth like a carpet. There's stuff called 'vanish' here (faomy stuff in a pink aerosol) which works wonders on removing stains and smell of most things (wine, vomit, blood, oil), though I haven't had need to try it on poo. And no holiday here

QUOTE(mALX @ Feb 15 2011, 06:01 PM) For everyone who has stories up - it may take me another week, but I will eventually get caught up - just with everything going on right now it is very hard to concentrate.
The puppy is back to her old hyper self - and having to be contained inside at least another week with a cone on her head - and kept as inactive as possible. It is like trying to contain a volcano as it is erupting. I am also hyper, so we are bouncing off each other while I get cabin fever from being shut in while the sun is shining outside. GAAAAH !!! Anyway, I look forward to catching up on the stories I've been missing as soon as things settle down here a bit.

I don't envy you the task of trying to keep the dog calm. I know first hand how much they just LOVE those upside-down lampshades around their necks. But soon enough, you and Dixie will be able to shed your cabin fever and enjoy the sunshine of BFE TN. Three cheers for the UT Veternary Hospital!!

QUOTE(Grits @ Feb 23 2011, 12:53 PM) I feel for you, mALX! I’m so glad she’s feeling well enough to be a real pain. I had a very exuberant dog who bloated years ago, the last part of his recovery was the worst! I was so glad he was alive, but I was ready to strangle him!!! Maybe she'll take a nap. AHA! You know exactly how I feel, lol. She is destroying the inside of the house step by step too. She has shredded the furniture, I don't know how many bottles of perfume/nail polish/etc. she has eaten, a twelve pack of TP shredded, towels ripped, cords eaten through, two carpets chewed, a small chain saw has gone missing, and my cat may have had some form of stroke from being chased.

I will sing their praises forever for their Awesome care of Dixie (and they gave my old Rottie an extra 5 years of life when he had his stroke (he finally passed at age 19 a number of years ago) I have always bragged on Cornell College for treating horses - but UT Vet College has def got my bid on dogs !!!

Yay! I donated blood But oh my goodness my arm hurts like a... well you get the idea I forgot how thick the "needles" are. More like a hollowed out nail... and the nurse started wiggling it around while it was still deep in my arm! Me duele!! Sergeant got like that during her recovery She had the bright idea of trying to hop the backyard fence and wound up impaling her lung. So once she returned she was put in the bathroom at night so she could "go" on the tile freely. Well she didn't like that. She destroyed part of the wall by the door and messed up the cabinets under the sink real bad

Now my X-best cutting board is nailed in and several pails wedged around the guest toidy to keep her out. Oh, eat peanut butter and drink Coka-Cola (not Pepsi or Brand-X) to build your red blood cells back up quickly. It is what the hospitals give hemophelia patients who have had a bleeding episode (and what Arch Mage Traven doles out to Arena fighters or vampire victims who have lost a lot of blood).

Blood drives I've been to also stock a lot of orange juice, so I'd suggest that, too. Vitamin C is very helpful at bolstering your red count.

Fresh Squeezed Florida Orange Juice is good for anything and everything !!! QUOTE(bbqplatypus @ Feb 24 2011, 02:53 AM) I may or may not have partially torn a ligament in my leg tonight. I slipped on a teeny tiny piece of ice barely larger than my right foot and hyperextended my right leg. Couldn't walk home, so I went to the hospital and ended up getting a set of crutches and a knee brace. If it still hurts in a few days, I'm to call orthopedics.
Bless your heart !!! Hope that gets feeling better before the 3 days is up then !! This post has been edited by mALX: Feb 24 2011, 01:05 PM
