So, my stepdad has decided to throw a huge temper tantrum over... forks.

Why can't this [censored McCensored] just grow the hell up and buy some more [censored] forks?! Where is is [censored] brain?! If you're short on forks... YOU BUY SOME MORE!!! We only have about one fork per day of the week right now for three people, why can't he figure the [censored] out we need more? But no, he'd rather just blame everybody and toss swearwords around all over the place. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Well, at least it's amusing to listen to my mum give him the cold shoulder. Is he five? He is such a [censored] moron sometimes.

Who doesn't throw one every now and then? Better to blow your top over something simple, an easy fix.

I got to agree with Lord Revan, it is much less healthy to hold anger in till it blows sky high then to let it out over something like a fork ... or as my dad does, a vitamin pill. "Are you sure you gave me the blah-bla-blah ?" (pulls out magnifying glass and begins inspecting his vitamins)

And oddly enough, my husband raised a fuss last night over (not forks)... SPORKS !!!

I was sitting at the PC, minding my own business and innocent as ever ... and suddenly he walks up, obviously in a snit ... and bellows out, "I HATE SPORKS!"

I thought he said, "I hate sports" ... so I said, "You're lying! You watch them all the time!"

He thought I said "wash" and said "I do not! You wash them when I bring them home from work! I want you to STOP!"

"What are you talking about, I don't watch sports!"

(husband stomps into kitchen, grabs handful of sporks, shoves them under my nose) "Then what do you call these?"

"Huh?"

Both true.

ROFL !!! Not sure if my husband and I both need our ears checked or if we have just hit old age, ROFL !!!

Reminds me of the Far Side cartoon- where Larson has "What we say" versus "What the dog hears"

Basically they hear- "Blah blah blah, Trey. Blah blah."

Or like this morning. Mrs. Treydog was looking at an art book pretty intently. So I say, "You are awfully deep into that book."

She responds- "No- I'm only on page 23!"

Good to see a new face, welcome.

I just finished a large bit of work which is nice so have the weekend off for the first time since January. Needless to say I am enjoying it.

So many new faces here. Maybe I should remind everyone about the irc channel (chat thing) at irc.chatspike.net #chorrol (the link in the forum is dead now, but there are online clients elsewhere (or a multitude of free ones which aren't java based)). I idle there intermittantly.

EDIT: For those not acquainted with IRC, it's an old internet chat system. One way to use it online is at chat.mibbit.net which is javascript based and runs in browser, and is fairly easy to use. Click the little server link next to the drop down list and enter irc.chatspike.net there, enter what you want to be called in the box next to 'Nick' and #chorrol in the box next to channel.
