Here I sit...drinking my coffee and trying uselessly to psych myself up for work. I want to work today almost as bad as I want bubonic plague. unsure.gif But work has been so slow that I know I should be grateful for any, no matter what day it is...

My mom's good friend's mom is in hawaii and she sent a message saying 'i love you' and they haven't heard from her since! sad.gif

I hope everyone's alright, esp. the people on Chorrol. Because we know them. Heck, I just hope that, like Olen said that no one else dies.

:*(

Apparently it hit the west coast of America, where I live, but not too much harm done I think. At least, I haven't drowned yet kvright.gif .

Yes- was just "resting my eyes" on the front porch for an hour or so. Daffodils and snowdrops have bloomed- pears and plums are starting. The red maple in back is setting leaf buds. Ahhhh-

You and TK are making me feel like a computer potato. laugh.gif I do work outside during the week though, and spring is definitely in the air...finally. The future MrsOtherRick is content to spend a Sunday lazing around the house. She has her Facebook, and I have Chorrol.com. wink.gif So spring can take a backseat today...

Just got back from the Geek Squad, had to leave it at the shop $255. just to diagnose the problem and sell me an external hard drive to copy files to so they don't lose them. (however, I have to sign a waiver saying if they lose my files I am USCWAP.

Then I bought a laptop, thinking they would nicely give me a copy of my documents so I'd have something to do while they have my pc - that was a fail.

So right now I am on my HUNDRED YEAR OLD HP that I had to keep reformating every couple days. The monitor is round, the pc is very slow. The mouse doesn't have a wheel on it. I can't read anything on this monitor. Too tired to set up the laptop yet.

I'm going to eat something and will get back on here later.

UPDATE:

I just played Oblivion at high graphics on it without a hitch, not one !!! My desktop with that upgraded graphics card and power system ran it at medium, when I tried to put it on high it stuttered the game - GAAAAH !!!! I am pretty excited about it (today anyway, lol).

OH !!!! And the tilde key works on the laptop - it never did on the PC, I had to get the "Ring of Console" on the PC !!! WOO HOO !!!!

Here is what it has:

Intel I7 2.0 Ghz
8 gig ram
1 gig dedicated to graphics
64 bit
Windows 7 Home Premium
NVidia GE Force GTX 460 M graphics card
2.0 Webcam
Intel WIFI Wimax6250
700 gig hard drive (7200 rpm)

I know it is a major story, but do you think we could get Anderson Cooper and his ilk to lay off the doom-n-gloom sensationalism in their reporting of the situation in Japan. I swear that some of those reporters are praying that the reactors melt through the earth's crust and cause another earthquake. Ok...I'm done ranting. tongue.gif

So last night someone in my household awakened me by taking a shower in the middle of the night. At breakfast we had a quick recap of events.

Grits: Why did you take a shower in the middle of the night?

Crazy Person: Because I thought it was morning.

Grits: It was pitch dark and your clock said one a.m. So, why did you take a shower in the middle of the night?

Crazy Person (puts hand on Grits’ shoulder and says with exquisite patience): Because I thought it was morning.

Am I missing something??
