If you didn't like the mussel part, they probably weren't prepared right. Well prepared mussels are succulent and sweet, badly prepared, and they tend to be bitter.

The only cheese that tastes terrible in this world is that fake imitation stuff you find in the budget dairy aisle in the supermarket. tongue.gif

Well I didn't know about the cottage cheese. All I saw was cheddar on the mussel. When I bit into it, all that nasty cottage cheese flooded right into my mouth....

It did not end very pretty, though the actual mussel wasn't bad. It was mainly a cottage cheese/texture issue

This whole thread reminds me of a challenge I was once issued.

Find three things that taste great. Items A, B, & C.

A & B have to taste great together.

B & C have to taste great together.

A & C have to taste great together.

BUT, A, B & C have to taste horrible when all three are eaten/drunk together.

Peanut butter, cheese (American), and mayonaise sandwich (whole wheat bread)

Feel ... funny ... URG !!!

QUOTE(Grits @ Apr 13 2011, 07:03 PM) *

Toast the bread and hold the cheese, please! Peanut butter, banana, and mayo is even better.

It actually is good if you use those Vlasic pickles. Everyone around me says "URG!" when they see me with it though, lol.

Claussen's are better, but more expensive. Vlasic is a very close second best.

You may be right. I had Claussen's once and they were pretty Awesome !! It is hard to find them around here, only one store I could find carried them and they went out of business.

A bag of sour cream and onion and cheddar flavored crickets. No lie here. It tasted like cheetos and sunflower seeds, but they were still dried crickets. Hehe.

The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

It's not a food combination but it beats the lentil soup and yogurt. Yesterday I accidentally drank rancid milk. I couldn't stop throwing up and it tasted disgusting. It's so damn sour, blink.gif

I have been known to stir plain yogurt into soup, but the mere thought of accidentally using vanilla might be the end of that practice. wacko.gif

Gross! Does that taste good to you? I still get nauseous at the thought of yogurt and soup together, but since yesterday's rancid milk incident, I think I'd rather eat a combo of yogurt and soup.

Cold, cooked spaghetti, gummy lifesavers, M&Ms, pickles and warheads.

I was the only one who didn't puke.

Oops, sorry I didnt see this before! Plain yogurt is great in soups that would taste good with a swirl of sour cream, like black bean soup or chilled pea soup with mint.

I made brownies with butterscotch chips today. They are delicious, but the name my darling children have given them is truly disgusting. They call them:
