I'm okay with spiders, so long as they kill the cockroaches. Cockroaches.. Grrrr. Those creepy little busterds gives me the fear of death itself! And I'm 5'7 in height! Can you believe a giant could be so afraid of tiny little things? Well, my relatives and friends don't! Their crue japes of 'Let's-Prank-The-Giant-By-Bombarding-Him-With-Dead-Roaches!' will be come back at them tenfold I tell you!
Errr, point being I am a giant among my peers and have a shameful fear of roaches. And even if I have a bug-slaying spray in my hand, I'd rather take flight than fight.

@stargelman: What happened, exactly?

Djinn: What wish would you like to have, young master? Random dude: SUPA POWAZ! -- Djinn: Is there anything I could make true, lord? Old guy: .. Youth and charisma. -- Djinn: Your heart speaks of wanting. I could make it true, milord. Me: Hmmm. I wish to know what I want. Then you could hook me up in some insidious deal, spirit.

What saddens me is that this terrorist, like other terrorists of the right, left, and both-at-the-same-time before him...AS WELL AS terrorists of the non-political kind, such as mass murderers, serial killers, child molesters...are slowly, case by case, turning human societies into societies based upon suspicion of one's fellow man, and societies in which the power of government to police, regulate, and investigate its citizens keeps growing - as it must, to fight terrorism in all its forms.

Bless you, Tellie- and all who are affected by this tragedy. My thoughts have been of you and our other Norwegian friends these last days. I have always hoped that, in its own way, Chorrol can be part of the process of bringing all of us closer together. It has been my great joy to have made friends from across the world- and as close as my own backyard- through the magic of this community.
The flip side of that is that terrible events no longer just happen to "other people," but to my friends. Perhaps, with more of that sense of community encompassing the world, there will be fewer tragedies. For now, we hold you and your family in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to our fellow Nords for the terrible events that unfolded in Oslo today. Anyways, on a lighter note, I just finished with importing my Fallout 3 install back to my hard drive. Again, all is exactly as I left it when my previous PC was lost, it was just a matter of reinstalling the game (to put all the needed APIs and registry entries back in) and replacing the old game data folder my previous game data folder. Now, starting the game the normal way is likely going to lead to the famous "Ordinal 5360" error at this point because I have not installed the GFWL update needed, but I'm not going to because I can simply use FOSE to bypass the GFWL functionality. No reason to use it at all, since I purchased my copy GOTY. So far, performance has seen the usual increase due to the massively improved CPU in my machine (Sandy Bridge vs. Core 2 architecture, it makes a helluva difference) and the game reloaded my previous save without fuss and didn't experience any terrible instability during my 10 minute romp in the Wasteland, so I think I'm solid here. By the way Beth, thank you for fixing the HDR + AA issue in Fallout 3! I know, I could bypass it in Oblivion by forcing AA through my video drivers, but now even that is off the table due to OBGE's presence. Simple story, OBGE needs the depth buffer to work, and that conflicts with GPU Anti-Aliasing, since it need the depth buffer, too. DX9 only allows for one program at a time to use the depth buffer, so that means no more AA in Oblivion ever for me aside from shader solutions, which tend to blur the image as a side-effect.

That was a horrible thing that happened, if only the police had been able to react faster. The sickest part is that Norway has no death penalty to properly punish the sadistic prick.

Actually Norway has death penalty. For High Treason and Crimes against the people, the government or King can order the prisoner to be brought to trial under military law (crimes during wartime/judged by military law). Then he can potentially found guilty and have to face death by firing squad. They are already discussing whether to try him under peacetime laws or wartime, (longest sentece during war time is 30 years, after that firing squad). Me I say that he is locked up for the rest of his life. Keeping someone locked up is far more inhumane than a quick death, and he deserves it. Rant over. Again thank you so much for your support, it is great to see how many friends we truly have here at chorrol.

Chorrol is and always has been my favorite fan forum, I just wish it was more active these days. It actually has picked up a little from what it was like a year ago or so but isn't and won't be as active as before OB came out.

Personally, I like our little community. Get too big and you end up with the dreaded trolls and flamers, since we'd be so big. Right now were a small, close community. Everyone gets along well and we have no flamers. But lately...
Anyone else notice some of our recent new members being banned? Good to know we have active moderators and stuff!
