So I went to Fort Strand, near Anvil looking for my friends Aravi, Vilja, Maxical and Jerric. I guess I missed them by a few days; Acadian thinks it was because I dawdle too much and have a short attention span. I'm sure he's mistaken. I mean, if you find a nirnroot, you have to go see Sinderion right away before it wilts, right? And just because you're in a hurry to go somewhere, doesn't mean you won't encounter a Legion rider who needs to have his horse healed up from a fight. Oh, and well, there was a waterfall along the way and - where was I? Superian and I got chased by a wolf! Isn't Anvil a beautiful place? Oh, yes, Fort Strand - Acadian took some pictures for my scrapbook:
Will you wait here, precious girl?
Oh, don't look at me like that!
And don't stamp your hoof!
More two legged varmints - likely marauders like those two outside.
You sleep rather soundly for a marauder. Hee! Do I sound like Lucien?
I'll just warm myself here for a moment. No food - I guess Jerric's been here.
Why send an elf where an arrow can go?
Say hello to my friend, Nightshade. Ooh, I learned that line from Teresa!
Another level? More marauders and a rat.
Come, feed Slayer. See, Maxical? I got up real close to make sure it wasn't Alix!
Warlord, meet Spike.
Take a well-deserved bow, my trusty friend. And to think at one time, you were the stuff of my nightmares. Let's get out of here.
Nice to get that armor off. Superian, do you think I think I need a bath? I saw a mud crab along the beach the other day. I wonder what's for dinner at the guild tonight? Oooh, Acadian- look! if we hurry we can catch the Abecean sunset! Do you know what kind of sound the sun makes when it touches the water? Let's ride out to listen . . . . Can't stay on topic can she? Talking to Superian is just adorable. I doubt that soundly sleeping Marauder ever woke. Aravi doesn't eat anything she finds in dungeons, but I guess Jerric isn't so picky is he? Buffy got through without a scratch didn't she?! Brilliant! I'm glad you posted these. I've been champing at the bit to see them! So what does the the sun sound like when it touches the water?

Some sass from Superian, how funny! KC said it, those two are adorable together. Oh no, Jerric didn’t even leave a sliver of cheese and a crumb of bread? I doubt he’s ever passed a bandit’s cook pot without taking a look under the lid. That’s a great shot into the pit area. I can imagine the swearing that those walls have heard over the years. And, um, more recently. But shaky boards are no problem here. That long-range life detection makes such a difference. It must let Buffy really plan her path through a ruin, rather than just follow the walls. Woo hoo, Spike!! I think these are my favorites, especially the one with Buffy on the stairs!! Need a bath?! She probably didn’t even get sweaty! Still, I hear Anvil’s guild hall has a spectacular if busy bathing chamber. A lovely Abecean sunset. Buffy, what did you add to the water-walk so that you would know before the spell runs out? I would hate to send a horse unexpectedly swimming. How fun to ride along with Buffy as she makes County Anvil a little safer!

Thank you all for the nice comments regarding Buffy’s picture-trek through Fort Strand! KC - To be honest, Buffy did get the stuffing knocked out of her by a swinging log trap. I was gracious enough not to take a picture of her crying. That's the trouble with navigating in the dark by pink glows; as careful as she is, she can still sometimes miss one of those darn traps. On chasing the sun, Buffy got scared that she might fall off the edge of Nirn and turned us around. Rider - One time long ago, her spell did wear off out in the middle of the river and you're right, Superian was not happy! Now she casts a similar spell on herself first because she can tell how long that one has left; when the timing is running low, she hops off onto the water and recasts the spells before the mare can get wet (and mad). Before she had the magic to do all that, she had a tiny 'feather on self’ component on Superian's water walk spell so she could tell how long was left on it and wore a waterwalking ring when riding on the water. She got rid of most of her 'utility' rings as she gained more magic and mostly uses spells instead of rings now. In fact, the only rings she normally carries are a pair of detect life rings, a resist cold ring (for cold weather) and a resist fire ring (for hot places like, well, Julian knows much better than we do). Grits - Hee! Buffy just loves her mare! We figured by the empty stewpot, that Jerric had recently been through Fort Strand. Yes, that's Buffy’s world - navigating by pink glows. I'm sure Lildereth knows what that's like. It's a long ways into the future of our story before Buffy meets Spike, but how ironic is that? The terror of her nightmare becoming a trusted savior! mALX – I’m so glad you enjoyed Buffy’s captions! * By Mara, we had quite a scare last week. Buffy’s home had the magicka sucked right out of it – probably a will-o-the-wisp attack we figure. Poor puter had to go to the chapel and have new stained glass windows put in. The healers there even added a couple sigil stones that fortify puter’s magicka. Fortunately, all of Buffy’s mystic bits were happily archived in several types of safe storage containers. It took us a week of frustration, wryeing and bashing to get her house rebuilt. I almost cried when my little elf came back up and said, “Well, we’re not out of the woods, yet.” Then she giggled and added, “Oh wait! We are!”

Hello Buffy! I Don't think we have met before, anyway my name is Riften, my friend Raminus Polus has ordered me to set up a new uild hall in the newly made city, Frostcrag. The guild hall is pretty much a tower up in the Jerall Mounatains, I would be very happy if you would pay me and Arcleus a visit there! Maybe we can have a little fun in my private quarters after eh?...... This post has been edited by Riften: Oct 16 2011, 11:43 PM

Welcome back, Lissa! How am I doing? Well, I’ve been working on my Journal and writing about all the stuff that happened at Kvatch. Just writing it fills me again with every emotion under the moons and everything just sort of spills out of me. Acadian keeps trying to edit all the juicy bits so they’re not so, um, juicy. I need to have a stern chat with him. Oh, I know all about photo shoots! What wonderful screenshots you provided. After those last three spoilery ones, you look like you could use some of Angel’s apple berry juice!
Dearest TK, I got here as fast as I could. Oh my, that is indeed quite the fashion disaster! Bear in mind that Delphine calls me the elf who wears animal skins, but I think I can help. Clearly, this lovely Dunmer must choose to build from either her skirt or blouse, but certainly not the two of them together. My recommendation is to dump the skirt and build from the blouse. The skirt is entirely to ‘heavy’, dark and formal for such a beautiful daytime stroll. The blouse, on the other hand really sets off her beautiful skin without overly matching it. Oh, and she already has those beautiful green silk slippers! Those are surely keepers! So. . . she just really needs a new skirt. By all means, go for a cream silk with a pale green delicate print. The silk of course just goes with that blouse and slippers. The cream will both contrast with the darker green of her blouse and provide the perfect palette background for the pale green that ties everything together. The resulting outfit would be very much like the one often worn by the beautiful Kud-Ei. And after all, her fashion advisor is none other than the bubbling Bretonic Bravilian fashion diva herself, Delphine Jend.
Riften! Well met, and welcome to my little tavern! Would you like a sweet roll? Maybe some mulled cider? I’m so delighted that you made the trip from the big city. There are so many people over there! And it’s so dark! Can you believe they use black parchment instead of the pretty pale gray we use here? I think you’ll be very happy here. I’m so looking forward to reading of your adventures. How exciting that Raminus has approved a new guild hall! You must be a skilled mage and feel very honored to have been selected to set it up. Forgive me, but I’m not sure who Arcleus is. Is he in the guild? Oh, a visit sounds fun. It’s not cold there, is it? Do you have a heated stable for Superian, or maybe you don’t mind if she comes inside? Do you have Tamikas, sweet rolls and strawberries? Oh, and bread and cheese? Fun in your private quarters? Hee! I know how to summon a scamp and disappear. Is that what you mean? Is Frostcrag near Bruma? Do you know Jeanne Frasoric? She’s fun. I don’t know why everyone picks on her. I mean it’s not like she has blond hair or anything. Oh wait! Do you suppose she dyes it?
Thank you for dropping in friends! BuffyThis post has been edited by Acadian: Oct 17 2011, 03:05 AM

Thank you for dropping in friends! Buffy Sweet rolls?!?! of course, sweet rolls all around! Yes, I'm loving it here at Frostcrag Spire. Many of my apprentices have steeds so we have a stable outside the guild hall. Oh, Arcleus is a very good friend of mine, I have been friends with him ever since I was an apprentice, he was my mentor after all! he leads the guild with me. It is actually very warm here, well, at least in the guild hall, I have only visited Frostcrag once or twice, we have fireplaces all over the hall, we have enchanting and spellmaking alters, Alchemy station and garden etc......
And Tamikas? My favourite, we have a crate full of em in the vault. And fun in my private quaters? Of course! I can teach you some new illusion spells to This post has been edited by Riften: Oct 17 2011, 05:38 PM

Have you ever wondered what Umbra looks like under the ebony helm seen here? Years after the events of Kvatch, Buffy learned from residents of Pell Gate that the Bosmeri warrior named Lenwin had been seduced by the foul blade called Umbra. The story tugged at the curious mystic archer’s heart. After some careful research, preparation and planning, she managed to free Lenwin of the cursed blade without injuring the formidable elven warrior. Although Buffy understands that the Daedra Lord Clavicus Vile may have had an interest in the cursed sword, she could care less and fed the foul blade to a lava flow. Good riddance. Eternally grateful, Lenwin has pledged the service of her new katana and considerable skills to protecting Buffy and traveling with her whenever asked. Buffy’s path is that of bow, illusion and stealth - and best travelled alone. Nevertheless, there may be times in her future when the company of a mighty steel-clad hero will surely be of both need and comfort. For the moment however, Buffy will leave her new friend at Pells Gate. Lenwin's homecoming: Screenshot1 Screenshot2Buffy then sought the familiar comfort of Bravil. In the next screenshot, she is enjoying a sunrise return from a two day hunting trip with her archer master. In her eyes, Daenlin will forever be the Champion Archer of Cyrodiil.
