So far I have Chloe representing the Wood Elves. She's spent the last few days wondering why she agreed to do something for a certain Deadric PrincessNew comer Chance the Unlucky has stumbled upon one insane situation after another. Cameron Pale-Eyed would rather just study magic in peace, but those darn instructors keep sending her outside! With things like dirt, and trees and dragons! Ryoko would rather there be more things out there, if only because she gets hungry after a long walk. This post has been edited by liliandra nadiar: Nov 22 2011, 04:50 AM

QUOTE(Grits @ Nov 23 2011, 09:20 PM) Thanks, folks! I love to see peoples' characters. liliandra, you have your hands full. I know what you mean about wanting to try different styles. Ryoko must have an interesting life. Here’s my Nord barbarian, Brynja, presently residing in Sovngarde. It started raining when I took that picture. I played her Dead is Dead, and, well… she did. Looking back I think two-handed would have been better supported by heavy armor. She never got a chance to put perks into Block. GAAAAH !!! She died ... urgh!! That is one thing I like about the game world, that dead doesn't have to mean dead so I can get attached to my character and not have to do rebuilds of new characters. Maxical learned smithing quickly and improved all her armor, then broke down almost every piece of enchanted anything she got - and used it to enhance her improved armor. She is still at a very low level (since I've only gotten to play 4 times) - but she is walking around in a virtual tank of protection. 3 separate pieces add 15 percent each to the hit power of her blade, two pieces add 15 percent each to her block. It has saved her life a couple times, especially with those Dragon Priests and Droughs (spelling?). The improved armor rating makes a huge difference too. The armor is 55, gauntlets 19, boots 19, and helmet 29. The shield is regular, but I plan to improve and enchant one. She also wears a ring and necklace that she enchanted. Derelas looks great! I’m having some PS3 post-patch issues, so I started a new character in a hopefully dragonless world to cope. Well, not so much new as reincarnated. Here’s J’Shanji in his second life. His new look is completely inspired by the beautiful and beloved Maxical and Aravi. The pictures are a bit blurry, no doubt my hands were still shaking with fury over what happened in Rowan’s game.

No way, Rowan dies a lot, but she will never fail to get back up. I'm through with DiD for however many years it takes to sort out the Skyrim issues. The new J'Shanji is in a vicious cycle of mix potions to stay alive/Alchemy levels him up without improving his combat. One fireball can take him out, but his fire doesn't touch a troll. I think something is amiss with magic. Oh, in Rowan's game we had some post-patch dragon/potion/WTF situations. I've read that the folks at Bethesda are aware of the massive screwup and are working on a solution. Grr. This post has been edited by Grits: Dec 1 2011, 05:44 PM

QUOTE(Grits @ Dec 1 2011, 12:04 PM) It seems that magical resistances still appear on your effects but don’t work or possibly hinder you, that’s the biggest thing I’ve seen. Rowan burned through a lot of inventory fighting a dragon before I went over to the Beth forum to see what’s up. There are some other wacky things going on, but it seemed that others had posted enough furious rants to cover my problems. I started a new character so that I could keep playing in the meantime. Hopefully Rowan’s game will be OK later, I just don’t want to mess it up further. If I have to start her over after they fix what they broke in the fixes, she will be much happier in those backless dresses. Somehow I must have hit the dirt slider and didn’t notice (first character mistake ) so she looks a little fresh from the fight under her armor. I found that the dirt slider is defaulted to the max extent whenever you start a character. It is one of the first things I did with Maxical was to slide it to completely off, lol. I'm going over to the Bethesda Forums and check out the complaints, I'm not DL'ing the patch if it is going to mess my game up.

At first when I read this post I was worried that Rowan's saves were corrupted or something. I'm very glad that's not the case! Aravi shouldn't have any dirt on her, though I left the slider were it was by default because she looked dirtier when I moved it. Maybe that was just the preset characters the two of you chose to start with?

Oh, I bet you're right. I was so giddy over giving her matching scars and war paint and then actually playing for the first time that I didn't think to check her dirt level.
