I'm playing with my nerves.
I want both 2-handed and 1-handed combat to augment my destruction skill, but points are bloody scarce.

QUOTE(Zalphon @ Nov 10 2011, 10:37 PM) What console and how'd you get it?!
On the 360. I got it early since I preordered at GAME. They are usually kind enough to deliver a day before release.

Skyrim PC, baby! All graphics options are maxed (except shadows, which are on High quality, as Ultra causes huge slowdowns) on a legacy GPU (8800 GT)? Take that, minimum system requirements! By the way, the shadow slowdowns are not my GPU's fault. They are actually rendered by the CPU (engine console-itis there). If they were GPU rendered, I could easily go Ultra on them. So far, I've taken exception to the new UI, but everything else is making battling with the menus well worth it. And I've also encountered my first major bug: companions do not travel with you very well. Sometimes they follow like normal, and sometimes they teleport (probably from getting stuck on something). I've also had my companion teleport right right on top of me for no good reason several times. Oh, and she's already shot me twice, too. They weren't lying when they said companions are idiots. BTW Acadian, it's best Buffy not travel to Skyrim right away, too. Once she glimpses herself in a lake, she would never speak to you again. She'll need a race mod if she doesn't want to look like she's fresh out of the asylum. This post has been edited by Thomas Kaira: Nov 13 2011, 03:30 AM

QUOTE(haute ecole rider @ Dec 12 2011, 10:38 AM) Am in the process of downloading Nehrim.
I know, it doesn't really count as a game. But I've been promising myself to play it for a long time now.
With finals over, and my next class not starting until next year, I find myself in need of new inspiration . . .
I've wanted to try that, I just wasn't able to pull myself out of Cyrodiil. ...I wonder if you can play a Khajiit in Nehrim...

I'll let you know! Still loving your pics of Aravi and Kharjo over in Skyrim. Almost makes me want to play one meself! Only they don't look this amazing in Cyrodiil . . . Well it's the next morning. After a frustrating installation and a search on the Internet for the answers (which I found), I finally started Nehrim yesterday. Played it all afternoon and again all night after dinner. All I can say is - wow! And KC, no Khajiits in the game - sorry. There are only three races - Imperial, Nord and half-Elven. Oh well. Have to say the tailed folk are much missed here, though the snooty Altmer are not! This post has been edited by haute ecole rider: Dec 13 2011, 06:35 PM

I took advantage of steams holiday deals and picked up the entire amnesia and penumbra series. I know that quite a lot of horror games are over exagerrated for their horror (looking at you dead space) so I thought theese would be good breeze through for a couple hours each. Totally wrong! Ive spent loads of my time hiding behind crates, praying that the mean monsters will leave me alone. These games are not for the faint of heart!

Not Skyrim, that much I can tell you. Its 7000 Yen, man! Too pricey for a reality breaker. Instead, I bought Borderlands and I'm enjoying it so far. A mix between between FPS and RPG and that two genres are my favorites. Mixing them and a Post-Apocalyptic setting? Too proper for little old me to handle. I will have Skyrim, but Borderlands is proving to be a rivaling distraction...

Ahh good 'ol BF3. I have that too. While I agree that the campaign does suck, I gotta admit that it was... fun. Weird combo, if ya ask me. The MP is another matter. IT IS PURE BLISS. I think I spent a whole day playing that nonstop. It certainly beats CoD with its tactical requirement to win. Whereas in CoD you just run around and shoot people, BF urges you to be a group or else you're dead. I like those kind of games. Its a lot more fun. Speaking of which, this kinda reminds me of MAG. While not even close to BF, it compensates for it by its sheer number of players and the resulting fun. 256 players in 1 match. 1 MATCH. Thats certainly something.
