QUOTE(Athynae @ Jan 24 2012, 11:29 AM) Just received an ultrasound photo of my first grandchild, she should make her appearance around the 23rd of February. I'm still kind of up in the air about the whole thing, can't decide whether I am really excited or feeling VERY old or both, lol.
It will be nice to have one I can unreservedly spoil rotten and then send her home...hhmm, it's looking better and better all the time. Now I just have to start formulating the plan to insure that baby girl is EXACTLY like her daddy, hehehe. This might be fun after all.
Congrats, Athynae! Does that make minque/Serene a great grandmother? My oldest waited until she was 40 to produce the first grandchild. Now at 42, she has #2 on the way. Talk about a late bloomer! This post has been edited by Acadian: Jan 24 2012, 09:28 PM

What???? ehhh hopefully NOT! I do not expect any grandchildren very soon....My eldest is 25 but since she's busy at medical school...well it has to wait! the second one...well she's not into kids yet, she's 22....The third young man is faaar too young, he's 16. (Bolzmania on this forum) But anyway....congrats athynae...I'm sure the first grandchild always will be special!

I'm glad they didn't get a still frame of your tractor accident! But actually, that's pretty cool !! Hmmm, I wonder how much business that "Google Earth" gets for peering into the nudist colony in Florida? Anyone see Mariah Carey by google? Lol.

Thats awesome Rob! And late gratz on your expanding family Athynae I myself am the uncle of 5 little monsters , I kinda spoil them sometimes haha, and I am the one that takes care of them when the parents have something to do and stuff, lets see my oldest brother had his first kid (well not him his wife) when he was 16, my middle brother has a kid when he was 17. Of course now everyone is asking when when I'm going to have kids...hmm maybe they will stop asking me once I come out This post has been edited by Fawkes: Jan 25 2012, 08:13 PM

QUOTE(King Coin @ Jan 25 2012, 01:33 PM) QUOTE(Fawkes @ Jan 25 2012, 01:25 PM) o.O, I love my coffee strong, you know with several pounds of sugar I'm lazy and drink it black even though I prefer sugar and creamer. This is just insane though. I can't drink it black, I mean I can but I hate the after taste, so i just put some sugar and milk instead of cream, I use the Silk Milk though, and it taste awesome!

I used to be the same way. I would drink it black and hate the taste, but I didn't want to put the time and effort to mix in the sugar and cream/milk. Especially when the sugar container by the coffee pot was empty and I would have to go all the way to the pantry to get more. Now I like it just fine black. Damn I'm lazy. @ Athynae - I'll be scouring the NW looking for shirtless men from the Native American Male Calendar - Michael Greyeyes, Kalani Queypo, Rick Mora, etc. And Destri if you are reading this - yes, it's an androgyny-fest, lol.
@ Fawkes - That is so cool, and I'll bet you're a great Uncle. Don't fret about coming out, usually by the time you reach 17-18 your family has it figured out so telling is just a formality.
@ King Coin - you had me in hysterics being too lazy to add cream and sugar - face it, KC - you need a personal assistant to bring you your coffee mixed the way you like it. Keep that in mind when shooting for your career goals, find a position that comes with a well trained personal assistant, ROFL !!

Thank goodness for the trees. I was pleased to discover that if the satellites passed over while I was bending to pull weeds in the garden, only the squirrels could tell about it. “Visible from space” is not something I’m ready to own up to!! But congratulations to you, Robert! KC, omg. I am still laughing about the empty sugar bowl. Fawkes, your coffee sounds like melted ice cream. What's not to love about that?

Wow quite a few happenings. Congrats Athynae on the grandchild. You do realise that now one night when the moon is full you will take up drinking sherry and knitting Well my mother did after my brother's first anyway, though the kids at home might offer some resistance to that. Everyone seems to like their coffee different. I think you can't beat a moka pot for a good cup. Strong and black with some tablet (a scottish sweet, not dissimilar from fudge) on the side... I used to like it white, but I'm with KC on this one - milk and sugar are too much effort when I need a coffee and it's not really worth putting skimmed in it anyway. Fawkes, coming out isn't pleasant but it's a massive weight off your mind once you've done it. No one really cares anyway these days.
