QUOTE(King Coin @ Feb 2 2012, 09:05 AM) I've only had like 3 weeks total of winter this season. It's going to be 54F today (12C). Back on the subject of animals, I think there is a lot of truth behind this comic.ROFL !!!!

QUOTE Europe and into Russia are having a bit of a cold snap at the mo... I thought it was cold this morning... Hopefully the last one before it warms up, heating costs too much but waking to a flat at about 8°C isn't much fun. It's an incentive to spend more time in uni though. It starts getting lighter now too, it's not full dark on the way to uni in the mornings December and January are just grim, I go to uni in the dark, work in a lab with no windows then go home in the dark.

QUOTE(McBadgere @ Feb 3 2012, 08:31 PM) Mustard's in London...aren't you?...You be getting snow tomorrow aren't you?.. ... Apparently so. And in true London style, all civil infrastructure in the city will completely and utterly collapse in the most magnificent manner imaginable as soon as the first flake falls. QUOTE(McBadgere @ Feb 4 2012, 01:22 AM) Yep "Woe is us!!...The south-east has had snow!! THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!!"... ... xD I myself live in South Texas, so the weather is...weird, although when it get's in the 60's everyone is huddle up in jackets...darn winter texans though, When it's in the 50's you can pick out who the Winter Texans are because they are wearing shorts and a t-shirt while everyone else is a ball of jackets. xD What I mean when I say the weather is weird is that, in the morning it could be freaking cold then in the afternoon it can jump to the 90s, or vice vera.

Hehe, got a similar situation with our Swedish friends over in the UK. I'll be in a full jacket, gloves, scarf and everything and they'll (maybe) be wearing a jumper, and saying that it's rather fine weather at about 0*C (no idea what that is in Farenheit, I'm afraid; never quite managed to wrap my head around that). Damn them. McBadgere: Yep, it's something like that. On the plus side, school usually gets shut down, so it's not all bad.

32 Farenheit... It's the same with kids though... I'm sat here in several layers and the boy's wandering around in jeans, t-shirt and long sleeved top... "Can I take this top off?" " Why?" ... "I'm too hot..." What the?... ...

I like Celcius...I mean, I remember Centigrade...Good old centigrade...And then they went to Celcius which I thought was such an ugly word for some reason... But yeah, smaller number... 30 celcius is far more civilised than 100 farenheit... ... Sooo, as I was saying Mustard..."IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!!!"... ... Get stuck then?... ...

Here in Music City it is the same as London it sounds like, if one flake falls schools shut down, but then if it really 'does' something do not get out on the road unless you have a death wish. I have no problem driving in snow, I've been doing it since I started driving but these idiots around here act like it's a day at the beach...literally. Last winter I was in my daughters car (I let her take my vehicle because it is much better in the snow and ice) the wind was blowing so hard and the road so slick that sitting at a red light the wind pushed me into the other lane...anyway, I was on the interstate going home. I was traveling about 40mph (which in all truth was probably too fast) and this person in an SUV blew by me like I was parked. All that was missing was him saying "Watch this!" so I took my foot off the gas because I knew what was coming...about 3 or 4 car lengths in front of me was a nice thick patch of ice and he hit it. That SUV bounced back and forth off the concrete barrier a half dozen times before he finally bounced to a stop on the shoulder of the interstate. I was going to stop and make sure he was ok but he opened the door and got out, air bag dust going everywhere, no one else in the car. So, I just kept going, dumb a**...oh, he was from Kentucky...go figure. (If he had been bleeding or limping I would have stopped, really)
Enjoy the time off Olen! Wrap up and have a cup o' tea....

I would have only stopped if he was missing a limb, Or if he was good looking xD I myself have only seen snow once, when I lived in Iowa for a couple of months, what was freaking weird is that here in South Texas I get sick rather fast here, but out there in the snow, well let's just say that I was outside barefoot, in shorts and a regular tshirt yet I never got sick :3 Oh and Tea! I love tea, I prefer Green Tea though :3
