QUOTE(Acadian @ Aug 11 2012, 05:07 AM) Welcome back! There was a pretty big influx of new blood here right about the time you unplugged (spring of 2010) caused largely by a big format change over on the BethSoft forums that upset many of us fanfic writers there. Many of the 2005-6 chorrol crowd are still here, just a bit less visible.
I saw your thread seeking an old MW mod. Sorry can't help. Have you tried the MW modding subforum at BethSoft? Good luck. I know it is frustrating when you can't find a mod you know and want!
I finally found it, thankfully. It was buried on an obscure website I had to go through many links to find. It's really too bad, the whole morrowind mod database at planetelderscrolls has been completely trashed. It was really not a smooth transition to IGN. I suppose the forum wasn't the only big changes Bethsoft has been making lately, eh? I know I started on here waiting for Oblivion, but now I'm just waiting for Oblivion to be over. Nothing has stood out to me like Morrowind did, and now two games in, Bethesda doesn't show any signs of returning to their golden age. But I digress, it's good to see the 'ol forum still running. I spent more more time on here than I have any forum since or ever. Good memories of great people and fun times writing. I'm glad new folk can enjoy it here too, it's a surprisingly friendly atmosphere.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Aug 14 2012, 07:53 PM) I’m leaving in the morning and I expect to be ‘unplugged’ for about a week while traveling. I’m off to Montana to see Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, wolves, minotaurs, beaver and bison. Upon my return, I look forward to catching up on the reading I know I’ll miss. URK !! You will be missed !! Is anyone else having trouble getting their emails from this site today for subscribed threads and PM's? I haven't gotten a single email from here since early this morning! (and have gotten PM's and thread updates on subscribed threads!) ... HELP !!!

Have a wonderful trip, Acadian! That sounds like tremendous fun! I hope your emails get straightened out, mALX. I tried to check in a few times today, but events on this end kept interfering. *click* Hey, Mom. *click* Hey, Mom! *click* Hey, MOM!! But I got some great news today, my latest (last! ) bone scan showed nothing interesting at all. No need to go back, they said. Woo hoo! Now when I get the bill, I'm going to try to remember this feeling...

I PM'd Alexander, hopefully my email issues will be fixed. And boy do I know that feeling! Only with mine it is a combination of "Hey, Mom!" / "Honey, have you seen where I left X ?" / "BARK!" QUOTE(Intestinal Chaos @ Aug 15 2012, 06:46 PM) So, I'd like to ask, what does everyone think of CHIM? It's an Elder Scrolls concept, so I figured it would be related. Do you know what it is? Please explain what you understand about it.
The official forum has a Lore section that has a very detailed discussion of CHIM, or you may try the Imperial Library to get Michael Kirkbride's discussion on it. Here is a link that has links to both: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Michael_KirkbrideI have done a rudimentary study and ended up completely lost, but the discussions on the Lore section of the official forum are the most fascinating reading I have ever experienced (even without complete understanding). That is where you used to be able to find the game developers lurking. * This post has been edited by mALX: Aug 16 2012, 12:12 AM

Glad to hear the good news, Grits! But bone scan? Did I miss something while I was gone? I have an update of my own as well. Went to the pulmonologist last week. Like me, she suspects fungal pneumonia; this is further borne by the CT scan results - the nodules in my lungs resemble the nasty stuff more than the big C. Cancer is actually at the bottom of a fairly long list of differentials, while Fungal is second. So after 2,000 simoleons worth of bloodwork (results still pending) and a bronchoscopy Monday, I won't know anything for sure until I see my pulmonologist again in a couple of weeks. Coughing quite a bit more since the 'scopy but otherwise doing okay. She did a brush biopsy, a pinch biopsy and a flush biopsy during the broncho, so no surprise there. They warned me of fever, but I haven't had any, so that's good. I was back to work the next day, and the sore throat lasted less than 24 hours so I'm happy. Acadian, hope you have a great time away from the internet. It's nice to log off every now and then and notice the real world around us (and interact with some real people). Not that we're not real people, but you know what I mean!
