Acadian:It looks like almost an entirely new game with the QTP textures! That is the Fine Steel Claymore alright. Of the low level claymores, it goes best with her outfit.

King Coin: I looked at OBGE a few times, and I it just looks meh to me. My Oblivion install was pretty old too, and filled with lots of loose files from old mods. So I did a new install and added only the mods I am using. This time I used OBMM to make .omods of every mod with loose files. That makes things a lot neater, since it will do all the work of deleting those loose files when I get rid of a mod.

I only used OBGE for the 'god rays' effect, nothing else was really worth using in my opinion. Here and Here are a couple of examples.

Also, Nexus has released their own mod manager that will work with Skyrim, Oblivion and Fallout, and functions the same way as OBMM.

Onto the screens:

First one is definitely my favorite. Love the lighting, love the pose. Aravi had some screens taken at that same spot long ago.

Astarte's storming Oblivion! That one turned out very nice too. Her bright armor contrasts well with the hellish landscape.

I'm torn between these two as my favorites - both powerful depictions when you take into account Astarte's background story. One can only imagine what she must have been feeling, but in these it is written in her expression and posture - all are great, but especially LOVE these!

I have to choose these two as my favorites, though was excited to see her in an Oblivion world in the third. These set a mood, like how she spent the night after finding the ruins of what once was her home.

Is that Ayleid ruin a mod or vanilla? I didn't recognize it! Awesome shots, all!

Heh, I can imagine Astarte asking you to boost the stats of that Fine Steel Claymore as she levels and just keeping it. Glad to see you using a mod installer. Although I have WB installed, I just use it for utility functions and have not ‘graduated’ to BAIN. That is, my install is pure OBMM and I’ve always been very happy with it. It’s all magic to me however and I simply say a thank you prayer to Mara every time I start the game and, somehow, there’s Buffy ready to play! happy.gif

Your three screens each carry a haunting message of their own and are very artistic. The sun setting behind Astarte is stunningly neat. In darkness falls it's always neat to catch that magic hiss as the sun drops into the Abecean each evening. And the 4000 year old Arimer reflects that, yes, the essence of war never really changes.

Thank you all. I spent a lot of time and effort to set up those shots, especially the first two. I am glad they worked out!

King Coin: I think the Nexus Mod Manager only installs the files for you though right? Or will it delete the files when you remove the mod? What I like about OBMM is that you can take any mod with loose files and turn it into a single .obmm file. Then you can just make a backup of that. When you activate an .obmm it pulls out the files and copies them to the appropriate folders. When you deactivate it, it deletes all those loose files automatically. That is what makes it so nice to use, especially with mods that have thousands of files. It also lets you sort your mod order, and will give you the first two digit prefix of every mod's formid. So it is really a mod user's bonanza.

mALX: KC called that ruin, it is Beldaburo. It is the only Ayleid ruin on the west coast, at least without KOTN, so it is the only one where you can get a sunset across the ocean. Looks like both of you got fooled by the third pic though. That was not in an Oblivion realm, but rather at the front door of Kvatch. The great gate is just a few feet off screen to the right.

Acadian: Astarte is using a silver claymore now. Its colors go well with her armor. I added a mod called Blade of the Haunted which adds a magic claymore. She will probably eventually get her mits on it, but I have to start the quest associated with it first.

I actually stole the title for the third pic from Ron Perlman's narration of all three Fallout game's openings. But I thought Fallout 3 had the best intro and ending

Ready?

The Queen of Silorn leads an army once more

This is more like it

Her footsoldiers are eager for battle

But know enough to stay out of her way

Too late to save Goldwine

Still, the sun shines once more over Kvatch

It seems that even though Hirtel could not stop for Death, Death kindly stopped for him.

HA! You fooled me, I thought that was an Oblivion realm! I knew where you got the "War never changes" from, I LOVE the way it was done in Fallout 3 - you really keep striking me to play it again, and I don't have time to breathe right now, lol.

These first two screens really seem to accentuate her light against the dark armor and dirty faces of the troops - as if she really is from another time and place and just glows with the aura of another realm. Awesome shots, all these! I especially like the filthy faces on the soldiers eager for battle and Astarte kneeling beside Goldwine! Awesome shots, all !!!

NMM doesn’t create a single file like an Omod, what it does is installs all the mod files whether the modder packs them loose or uses a BSA. It will also uninstall the mods and remove all installed files associated with each mod. When you add the mod, you just add the compressed (zip, 7zip, rar, ect…) file and it installs the contents from that. You can set load order within that, it tells you the load index, all that good stuff.

I missed the trees on the right side of the screen! Oops. It did look like Oblivion. I’m impressed that she kept so many of the soldiers alive! Those idiots always get themselves killed when I play. She looks like a natural leader with all her troops in those pictures!

Great screens! Like you, I love it when that trio of Legion soldiers show up in the chapel. Astarte really captures the mood in Castle Kvatch, and looks perfectly natural sitting on a throne. So sorry that, once again, Ormellius didn’t make it. kvleft.gif

Whew, I fell behind here.

“Sun Sets” and “Darkness Falls” are just lovely in every way. Beautiful, SubRosa!

How fun to see Astarte in charge at Kvatch! She looks very commanding, and a natural on the throne of course. Is that Rilian still on his feet at the end with Merandil and the three legion soldiers? Nice work, Astarte!!

I love the way you composed “Too Late.” These screenshots really told the tale!

mALX: Wanting Astarte to look out of place was exactly why I went with such an anime look for her. I am glad it works!

King Coin: NMM sounds a lot more useful than I had imagined. I will stick with OBMM though. It does everything I need, and I know all of its ins and outs. It was not easy keeping all of those idiots alive. The trick is to make sure you have a healing spell that works on others. Then after every fight you have to go to each one and heal them up to full before you move on. It makes for a slow and tedious experience. But at least they do not all get slaughtered. I think that is why with FO3 and Skyrim the devs used scripting to heal up your followers back to full as soon as combat ends.

Acadian: One thing I miss about Skyrim is the slouch that you do when sit on the thrones there! It looks so natural and relaxed. Things never work out for Count Orm. He's the only one who did not make it!

Grits: I had a lot of fun setting up Sun Sets and Darkness Falls. I saw that sunset over the ocean and knew it was the perfect chance to take some good screens. That is Rilian alright, and Merandil. The other Kvatch guards were waiting back with Savlian in the great hall. As far as I know, none of them died in the battle to retake the city.

It appears the law of gravity is not enforced in Cyrodiil...

A long time ago I replaced the bound armor and weapons with the Ice Morrigan gear.

A nice evening in the Deadlands. It was all quite by accident. It was one of the worlds with two gates. Astarte went in one, and went out the other to see where it went to. Then she went back inside, and the Cyrodiil evening sky followed her!

Standing with the mountains of Morrowind behind her.

All are great shots, but these two are stunningly effective! Awesome shots! The blue sky in the Oblivion world has to be a rare glitch, to have captured it was amazing! The shot of Astarte on the border - just gorgeous!

The weapons and armor she has in the second screen are awesome. Clearly nothing Aravi would use, but they look great on your character. The mountain picture is very pretty too, it is unfortunate that the LOD didn't load correctly.

I like your bound weapons much better than the Daedric ones. The sword suits Astarte’s otherworldly look. How strange to see the Deadlands under Cyrodiil’s skies! I like the mountains one best. The silver claymore goes with Astarte’s look very well!

I can almost hear Astarte: “It seems this boulder has learned to levitate – demonstrating that it is quite a bit more clever than the mages of this era.” wink.gif

I’ve never cared for Daedric armor and her choice in ‘bound wear’ looks ever so much better. I don’t mind the Daedric claymore so much but Astarte’s definitely looks better. goodjob.gif

Nice capture of a clear day in Oblivion! ohmy.gif

mALX: One of the nice things about the Cyrodiil sky in Oblivion is that it lets you see a whole lot better! I could not even see halfway across the map with the original Oblivion weather.

King Coin: I really like that Ice Morrigan gear. It is a bit exotic for me too, that is why I used it to replace the Daedric stuff you get at the standing stones.

Grits: I like having bound weapons that don't make you look like you are consorting with monsters. I prefer to think of these as being Aedric, rather than Daedric.

Acadian: I am pretty sure that rock is from Unique Landscapes. I downloaded a bunch of them, and it is not the only thing I found floating in mid air in them.

Eeep! Snow in our Bravil! That Silverlight armor looks wonderfully appropriate for your Arimer; I’m glad you chose the version with mail. Astarte looks so at home in Bawn. Anat looks great! Corean makes simply beautiful hair.

Now she’s in Oblivion. I stand by my comment; the armor looks even nicer in that bleak wasteland than it does in Cyrodiil.

Aravi had snow in Bravil once as well. Are you running any weather mods? I see she can’t stay away from the ruins of her former domain.

Do share more on Morroblivion. Does it follow Morrowind closely? Are the quests the same?

Are you going to try Nehrim (sp?) sometime as well?
