QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jan 8 2013, 09:51 AM) When I was in highschool, they did a few days after we got back. It was my English teacher.
Do they want a class average below 50%?

QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jan 8 2013, 10:51 AM) QUOTE(King Coin @ Jan 8 2013, 09:26 AM) QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Jan 7 2013, 03:53 PM) I havent studied for my test Who in the heck gives a test right after winter break? When I was in highschool, they did a few days after we got back. It was my English teacher. Yes, in high school they give you books to read over the summer and test you on them as soon as you walk in the door at the school year's start. (I think they did it over winter break too). In college you could "test out" of classes the first day or so of each semester by paying a small fee - if you aced it the grade went toward your GPA but not your credit hours. If you didn't do as well as you liked you could just take the class. The small fee for testing out was a lot less than paying for the class for each subject. I tested through all my remedials except Algebra, had to take that class. This post has been edited by mALX: Jan 8 2013, 05:26 PM

Do they want a class average below 50%? Considering we had the highest dropout percentage in our district, I don't think they cared. I think the only reason I survived with some of my sanity is because I was homeschooled first. I'm looking at posts from a lot of my highschool buds and think, "Wow...they STILL can't spell!" They claim to do it on purpose, but I tried tutoring a few of them in English, and it's not on purpose.

My school just does placement exams for each incoming freshman. It's mostly for math. I can't stand reading anything that is riddled with obvious spelling errors. QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 8 2013, 10:47 AM) Huwat du U meen dey cant spel?

You know its cold when the bus driver wears a furry hat instead of her usual wig(s). Im looking forward to seeing what she has on tomorrow. QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Jan 8 2013, 06:38 PM) I flipped out and my heart started racing again when I was taking the test. I think the heart racing is caused by stress Could be. Still it wouldnt hurt to back off the caffeine and weirdly colored drinks until after your doctors appointment. Ive found those contribute to the problem for me. (Along with stress.)

Drinking coffee isn't an option for me. My heart would probably burst out of my chest if a drank a full cup of coffee.

Here we go again..... I broke a very crappy vase in my sister's house when I went to watch the kids(she doesn't give me a break), and she pretty much turned into This. Well, it turns out that she was going to give the vase to our mother and father as an anniversary gift, so apparently I've screwed that up too. Now I have to go buy them a new anniversary gift since I broke the old one. The problem is: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GET THEM BECAUSE I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THE VASE LOOKS LIKE! The sad thing about this is that this happens every year.....

It could be considered a lethal weapon. Once I turned around on an elevator, it bounced me off one woman's chest beside me and threw me into the other woman on the elevator's chest. No amount of apology is acceptable when you have face dived into someone's cleavage (or crushed it on the other woman).

Be careful mALX, before you know it you could accidentally knock over the Empire State Building with your gigantic purse ROFL! I'm just being a pain in the neck I broke the vase when I slammed my head into the table it was on when I was trying to pick up my phone. What makes it worse is last week(I think) I woke up and when I rolled over to turn of the alarm I fell if the bed and slammed my head into the nightstand.
