Some of these are really pretty, but many are so dark I can't even see what they are depicting.

Okay, sorry. I can see what all of them are showing, but some are very dark. It's hard to find a good light-source sometimes. Not sure what I could do about it except for increasing the brightness of the pictures, but I think that kind of ruins them.

That's definitely Ekali.

What ENB config are you using?

Imvisio ENB: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19379

More specifically, the cinematic settings. But I've removed the depth of field effect and film grain that is the default, because I find them pretty annoying. And I think I modified the shadows a bit as well, because the original was way too dark for me.

They are still pretty dark. I actually like depth of field when it is more subtle, but some people make it way too strong. I think my favorite DoF settings were in this file.

Yeah, I think the settings I changed mostly affected the outside shadows during the day, so I'll have to look into changing the other ones as well. I found some great guide for changing the shadows sometime before I had to re-install Windows, but i haven't been able to find it since. There should be a good explanation somewhere though.
Okay. Yeah, I like the dof sometimes, but it gets annoying since you don't always look at the specific spot that the screen is centered on. It's great for taking pictures though.

You might like this mod. It is a DoF and SSAO toggle. I've been using it for a little over a week and it's pretty good.

These screens are just epic. Your really good at taking screens. Do you have the high resolution texture pack, or are you using a gaming PC?

I mentioned a guide earlier about tweaking the enb settings, and I've now found it again. It can be found here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8005

The darkness problem was much easier to solve than I initially thought, and thus kind of annoying.

Skyrim with Enb but without the Skyrim Visual mods:

Skyrim with Enb and the Skyrim Visual mods:

The difference is clear as day even in such a well-lit place as a tavern, and why I didn't try to deactivate the mods earlier is frankly beyond me. In part I suppose that is because I've been reinstalling Windows on my computer, also installing everything over again, and haven't felt like dealing with Skyrim and all the mods until now.

However, I still think that Skyrim is too bright without the Skyrim Visual mods, so I'll just have to try and tweak the enb settings to hopefully manage to find some kind of middle ground.

King Coin: Okay, I've never really used SSAO as I don't think my pc could handle it, at least with Skyrim and the mods I'm using, but it might be a good idea to try DoF that way.

mALX: I don't know how to determine whether a pc is extremely powerful, as you put it, but I'm quite certain mine is at least quite good. Thank you smile.gif

King of Beasts: Thank you. I've got a gaming pc, and though I've never used the official high texture pack, I've used other mods that enhance how the game looks. When I first got the game and ran it on this pc, I could run it on the highest settings with only a little trouble, however that's not possible with the mods and enb configuration I'm now using. I did try running the Skyrim HD - 2K Textures Lite version for a while, and while it looked amazing it was rather annoying when the game stuttered rather frequently.

Which visual mods are you using? I'm using Climates of Tamriel and I enjoy what it does. I got it mostly for the weather systems it adds, but it tweaks the lighting as well.

In the screen shots you posted, my favorite part of the visual mod is how it makes the firelight more red. smile.gif

Something else you can try if you really are trying to squeeze performance out of your PC is totally disabling AA and use FXAA. FXAA can somewhat blur textures and make the menus look a little funny, but I used it for a long time before I was able to upgrade my graphics card.

Visual Mods:
The one that changes the most is of course the ENB I'm using, Imvisio.
Real Rain
Ethereal elven overhaul, which I only use with my dark elf.
Xenius' Character Enhancement
Towns and villages enhanced, which is a collection of mods
Skyrim Visuals - The Indoors
Skyrim Visuals - The Outdoors

I've looked at Climates of Tamriel and considered using it, do you know if it affects the performance a lot?

Yeah, I love how the firelight is more red when I use the mods, which is a part of the reason to why I've been using them for so long.

I've never used AA with Skyrim much just because of the performance hit.

"Extremely powerful PC" means it is much better than mine, lol. I am loving these screens! Your textures are amazing!
