QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 14 2013, 08:27 PM) Destri hasn't been on the site one hour and roiled the coffee shop into a hooters discussion! Where the H is Foxy to do damage control?
Who? I'm guessing the forums are coming back to life now that the holidays are over?

I think you and Elisabeth showing up brought back some life. They were pretty dead for quite a while, well before the holidays. Unrelated: I was going to play Skyrim for like 20-30 mins before going to bed... then a ******* Java update pulls focus away from my game abruptly, making the mouse totally unresponsive and I ended up logging out and logging back in just so I can tell Java to **** off! Soo close to just uninstalling that ****.

Mine did that twice before I got mad and shut down Windows updates. Now it has to ask my permission, and keep its little notice down on my taskbar. *

Yes, it's nice to have people posting again. QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 14 2013, 11:01 PM) Mine keeps sending me notices almost daily, isn't there a way to set it so it never bugs you and you can update it when you are darn good and ready to?
Well, normally it is good to let it update, especially now because Java has some problems that they need to fix, but on my computer it always tries to update, and never actually does. It always 'fails to download required files.' I have to manually go and get the latest version and install it myself.

Urk, do you have to delete the old one, or can you just download the new one and it will replace it? Also, what is the best secure site to DL it from? I've been ignoring my Java update for absolutely months now.

This is pretty cool: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/HomePageWant to help with medical research? This program uses your computer's CPU and GPU to help scientists understand how proteins fold in your body. Just run it when you aren't using your computer for anything heavier than web browsing or word processing. Why is protein folding important? Taken from the site: "When proteins do not fold correctly, also known as misfolding, there can be serious health consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many cancers."

QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Jan 15 2013, 10:07 PM) Now I remember what I needed from Walmart the other day! A touch pen to draw on the iPad! Of course almost four days after I needed it I remember The temptation to take the bottle of coke and stick a whole pack of mentor in it is very strong. Dr. Pepper works better than coke for this, ... "KABOOOOM!"EDIT: Oh, and if you are going to "DoitDoitDoit" "YesYesYes" - then for the gods sake, get a vid of it and post it on Youtube!
