QUOTE(Colonel Mustard @ Sep 6 2012, 09:18 PM) *

“Jazz hands!” Lorentus yelled as he leapt from the shadows. “Fear the jazz hands!”

rollinglaugh.gif brilliant!

Another superb chapter, had me laughing all the way through! I loved Lorentus and his jazz hands, I knew Skyrim was missing something...

On to Whiterun soon then, I dread to think what Jarl Balgruuf will think of the dangerous duo. laugh.gif

QUOTE

“I would,” Lorentus said. “But I’ve still got these ropes on.” He waved his hands to prove his point. “Right now all I can really do is miniature jazz hands at people.”

Ralof said. “I suppose freeing the person who has already proven himself to be a sociopath with borderline psychotic tendencies is a good idea, isn’t it?”

“Oy, less snarking, more cutting these ropes off,” Lorentus said, waving his hands. “Or I’ll…I’ll jazz hands you.”

This entire chapter was side-splitting funny! I almost have to quote the whole beginning, but I'll limit myself to these three lines that had me spewing and rolling laughing! Everytime I pictured the miniature "jazz hands" I went off again - that was hysterical, and I don't know how you came up with that but it ROCK'd that whole scene! The fact that the "Jazz hands" continued to weave in and out caught me each time with the same spew/roll response, that just never got old!

Then you popped out with this:

QUOTE

Oh come on, you’ve been fine with Hadvar being here, and you’re a damn Stormcloak,” Lorentus said. “You two should be at each other’s throats.”

Quiet fell across the group as Hadvar and Ralof looked at one another.

“You’re a Stormcloak?” Hadvar asked.

I nearly choked to death. I'm still trying to figure out if the spider needed love, but while I was wondering I came across the scene with the bear - you have to know everyone remembers that bear, so there was no way to read that without visualizing your version of that -

* mALX died laughing in front of her PC *

AWESOME WRITE!

Jazz hands? Really? What an apt description of the spellcasting animation I've seen in trailers of the game!

And the spider really cracked me up! Finally someone who takes a sympathetic view of these poor, affection-deprived creatures! They really do get a bum rap in the games.

The experiment with the dragon-shouts cracked me up. "Yes, let's test my conclusion to make sure it is correct!" biggrin.gif Somehow it makes me think of Ancotar. wink.gif

Hazmick: You know, I now want to mod jazz hands into Skyrim. I've no idea what they'd do, but just a hotkey for waving your hands accompanied with a bit of 'tadaa' music would be hilarious...

And there's going to be at least one more character introduced before they meet Jarl Balgruf, so it's going to be a Terrible Trio instead of a mere Dangerous Duo. And it's going to be fun.

H.E.R: Lorentus Lorin; bringing a whole new meaning to the term 'Dragon Shout' since whenever he was born! tongue.gif

Hilarious, Mustard. Maybe the Jazz Hands mod should give a short Calm effect, as hostiles pause their attacks in utter confusion. tongue.gif

“That axe wasn’t for the dragon,” Ralof replied with a glance at Lorentus.

laugh.gif The lonely, loving spider also had me rolling. Hugs!! rollinglaugh.gif

It's such a shame we lose Ralof soon after this point...Crivens, hearing his voice saying this stuff is absurdly painful... laugh.gif ...

That bit with him and Hadvar looking at each other, "Well, this is awkward."..I have thought that meself sometimes... biggrin.gif ...

QUOTE
It certainly didn’t help that Lorentus had got bored while they were making their way through a cellar and had taken to yelling “jazz hands!” at everybody they came across.

That was just too funny...

Absolutely loved the whole Jazz-hands bit... biggrin.gif ...

But this...

QUOTE
“What is it?” Ralof asked.

“A bear,” Jorlif replied. “Just over there, it’s a bear.”

“There’s a bear?” Hadvar said. “Over there, a bear?”

“A bear? Right there, a bear?” Ralof added.

“There’s a bear, right there,” Jorlif confirmed.

I know it's a simple thing, but I was crying with laughter for some reason...Coming so soon after the spider thing, which was also pure comedy gold right there that was...

Again, a tale painted with the fabulous brush and then aired upon the breeze of brilliance...

Nice one!!!...

*Applauds heartily*...

Grits: You know, I like that Calm idea. Maybe followed immediately afterwards by a Frenzy spell as their sanity implodes...

And hugs, yay!

McBadgere: We'll probably see more of Ralof in the future, I think. I had fun with him.

And you really have no idea how tempting it was to slip in a Game of Thrones reference in the bear bit as well. I haven't a clue what inspired it, but I'm pleased it raised a giggle.
