Yeah! I know right! I was damn impressed myself, but I think it may be just paint. Go on, Liz. Look at it. I promise you'll be impressed too!

QUOTE(Darkness Eternal @ Mar 20 2013, 12:27 PM) I noticed in the online section sometimes that visitors are printing a page!
Are they printing topics or stories in the fanfction section?
I am curious. Yet, I quoted myself.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

I am curious. Yet, I quoted myself. Maybe they are downloading them to a "Kindle" or to their PC? I know you can do that at the BGSF, haven't ever tried it here.

QUOTE(Darkness Eternal @ Mar 20 2013, 01:03 PM) When you go to see who's onine and what activity is being done, I noticed sometimes a user(who is not a member) is printing a topic. I was only curious if the topics they are printing are stories in the fanfiction section.
mALX seemed to have the idea. But I was just wondering why. /shrug.
Example: McB lost his whole story on his PC, instead of having to copy/paste it into his documents he can just "Print" it to his PC. Also, Treydoggie is known to read the Fics on his Kindle, I'm pretty sure they have to be "Printed" to it as well. On the BGSF I "Printed" my whole story there (downloaded it) to my PC and saved it in a zip file just in case one of their format changes loses it. But I think your guess was correct, it is most likely the Fic forum they are printing down from. This post has been edited by mALX: Mar 20 2013, 06:30 PM

This all taught me a feature of the board I didn't know existed. The Options button on the header of the topic gives you choices of emailing, printing, downloading and a few others (you can look for yourself). That's the whole topic, apparently, not just the current page.
I assume some of the guests are web spiders of some variety - you often see Google.com by name - and maybe that provides them an easy way to get the whole thing in one request.

That'll save me some time when I finally get around to it...*Sighs*... And also thanks to Ghastley...I genuinely did not know this stuff...*Applauds clever peoples*...

Well, I've just finished four days of 5:30 am starts. And I am NOT a morning person... as my boss well knows. He's officially off my Xmas card list - mutter mutter, grumble grumble. In other news, I've just bought a bottle of tequila, which I'll probably be too tired to drink. Though I'm going to give it a bleedin' good go... (not all of it, of course, before anyone gets a terribly misguided impression about me)
