QUOTE(King Of Beasts @ Mar 25 2013, 06:05 PM) What's wrong?
We went and looked at like 6 different apartment places, and there are no openings until the middle of May. Our lease is up on the 31st of April, and we have to be out by then. Soooooo... i mean, we still have a handful left, but they're mostly high-end places that are above out budget. House hunting isn't going too much better either. Why did I want to be an adult again??

I understand. I hope you find a place you can afford. You probably will. There's always somewhere that you'll be able to crash.

Twilight sucks. I hate it when people call the wolves in the movies "werewolves," when the books specifically says they are shapeshifters, and the actual werewolves who turn under the full moon and look like the bestial ones we see in other franchises like Van Helsing and Skyrim, are extinct. No, I never read the books but I armored myself with anti-Twilight weaponary! Now I will admit there is one good scene from New Moon. Is where Victoria is chased by a pack of shapeshifters. The slow-motion run was pretty cool. The only vampires I like are Victoria, James and Laurent . . .the only ones who don't try to sleep with young mortal girls, chew on deer for the rest of their eternity . . .and go to High School for centuries. I hate Twilight too. Vampires don't sparkle. Watch Blade if you need a lesson in vampires.

The whole romance and vampire thing is just cliche nowadays. And most people think it started with Twilight, and while Twilight did make it popular it didn't start it. Bram Stoker's Dracula introduced the vampire as both monstrous and, well, sexy. Count Dracula was an amazing character. Slipping into boudoirs, corrupting virgins, mind-controlling them with vampire's seduction and giving them wet dreams? And that was a horror-type book to begin with. Easily my Twilight right there.
Stephanie Meyer's version is, well, meh. A love-sick shapeshifter must compete with a centurie's old vampire who fell in love with a mortal girl in High School and has the traits of a stalker. Who bruises her during nightly escapades.
And the protagonist? Bella, a mortal girl, who during the duration of most of the books, must choose betwen bestiality or necrophelia!
Stephanie Meyer is one sick woman.

Guess that must be every 16 year old or 48 year old mom who refuses to let go of their youth's dream.

Drake/Dominic Purcell! I like Blade and I noticed that in the movies they used a scientific approach toward vampirism and only touched the supernatural with the Blood god in the first movie.

^This. Vampires are predators. They hunt, stalk, and kill. The only semblance of love that they feel is possessiveness, and that's as close as it gets. It's more of a territory thing, too. Even Robert Pattinson hates Edward, lol
