Paranormal activity 4.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets bored while watching paranormal activity blink.gif

If you're watching the first one, whcih was made by a director who understands the nature of pacing, tension and character development, then yes you are. If you're watchign the fourth, though, no, definitely not.

We just got back from watching The Croods...

*Sighs*...Such a good film...

There's nothing like a good father/daughter story to make a chap determined to make the same mistakes all fathers do...

*Cough*...

There's nothing like a good father/daughter story to make a chap determined to do everything exactly right...

Awwww...Family hug... Hug_emoticon.gif ....

Fortunately, I dodged the whole fatherhood gig. (sniffle) Well- except for the odd "adopted" child here and there. (And some of those were DEFINITELY "odd.")

We continue with our "Blue Period"- mostly shows having to do with police or prisoners. Homicide:Life on the Street is almost at an end and still amazes us with the episodes that are "small"- i.e., focus on one or two of the detectives and one situation. An example was "Lines of Fire" with Ron Eldard...

Hamish MacBeth is still fun, even as we Americans (who talk funny with our Southern accents) struggle to understand the Scottish garble (no subtitles).

Speaking of fathers- Big Fish just became available for streaming- so there is an addition to our watch list.

And of course, watching Homicide and The Wire, you learn that the main city of Maryland is NOT

But

The Nanny

The only other other thing on is lion king, but I've seen that movie so many times it's not funny.

Finished watching Lincoln. Wow, very impressive. Even without an axe or vampires to slay, he was a pretty cool dude. wink.gif

I remember both of those! I saw The Black Hole in the theater in fact!

Now Hawk the Slayer is in my Netflix queue...

In other news, I started watching Season Two of the Borgias. Lots of devious fun.

Please don't expect too much from Hawk The Slayer!!... biggrin.gif ...It is a truly wonderful film viewed through the filter of "This was so amazing when I was eight-ish", but...It's really cheap and cheerful...It was filmed in 4:3 and then cropped top and bottom to make it cinematic!!...That's how cheap it is... laugh.gif ...

But, I really do enjoy watching it...It has all the usual fantasy film tropes...Man, Giant, Elf and Dwarf fighting be-helmeted pantomime baddie... biggrin.gif ..."Aaaargh!! It burns!!"..."Ah, I see you have that which should rightfully be mine!!"...

Nope...I love it!!... biggrin.gif ...

Never got to see The Black Hole in the cinema... sad.gif ...One of my friends did at the time, and I was so jealous... biggrin.gif ...

EDIT!!!...Oh, I see what I missed now...You know all that ^^ ... laugh.gif ...Sorry, as you were... laugh.gif ...
