PINK FLOYD....hands down. It is the one band I said I would quit a job to see. Having moved to New York in 1988, I was finally able to see them in concert. It was the best show I ever went to, and I didn't have to quit my job. But alas, I am back in dixie and good concerts like what I was used to in New York are a thing of the past.
They used to get some good bands down in Knoxville, Tennessee but they don't seem to anymore - not lately, anyway. Slipknot was there a couple years ago, that was the biggest name I've seen there in years - nothing like a decade or so ago when they used to pull in Aerosmith, GNR, Molly Hatchet, Whitesnake, Great White, etc.
PS - have to agree on Pink Floyd, the closest I've gotten was to see the tape of the 1994 concert where they reunited (London) to play that one concert. Too bad their talent was wasted for so many years because they can't bring themselves to get along with each other. Still, what they did put out will be played long after their grandchildren are gone, they are awesome !!!
